At the heart of the fragrance is a Madeleine accord, that at once evokes Afternoon Delight’s sense of comfort, while conjuring a moment of “me time,” in which the quotidian appears to fade away. This blends with the creamy and woody notes of Sandalwood, while the deliciousness of Vanilla Pods lingers in the fragrance. These notes all capture the memory of an enveloping moment for oneself within a candle. To compose Afternoon Delight, master perfumer Carlos Benaïm looked to evoke the transporting feeling that famed French author Marcel Proust immortalized in his 1913 novel “À la recherche du temps perdu”. In the novel, the narrator tastes a madeleine dipped in tea, taking him back to his childhood. The madeleine has since come to symbolize taking a moment to pause and recall the memory of a fleeting indulgence. Afternoon Delight is a fragrance that captures this delightful moment in a finely crafted artistic olfactory creation.
Our 7-hour long and semi-manual manufacturing process combined with the quality of our wax, preserve the olfactory molecules of each scent and guarantee 40 hours of continuous release of scent .

Use:
1. The first time you light your Afternoon Delight scented candle, let it burn for at least one hour until all the wax on the surface has melted. It will help the candle melt uniformly during all the duration of use.
2. Light it up when you plan to spend quite a long time in the room as its scent will be fully released after 30 to 60 minutes. Best is to leave the candle burn for 3 or 4 hours at a time.
3. Smother the flame using a candle snuffer and avoid blowing out the flame.
4. Trim the wick between each usage to obtain a length of 3 to 5 mm. Reposition the wicks after blowing out the candle.
5. Never place a lit candle in a draught or on a glass, wooden or marble surface.
