Not good
When I washed my hair with this shampoo and conditioner for the first time, my hair had the same smell as like new stinky jeans from warehouse 157/chemical crap-like smell 🤢 I washed my hair several times after, but the smell lingered. I eventually had to wash with apple cider vinegar to get rid of it. I then tried again because the smell wasn't the same on my daughter and thought that the product might have reacted to like my dry shampoo or something I had the first time. It got better the other times but I still don't experience a nice smell exactly. My hair has become very dry and gets greasy quickly after I shower. My daughter's scalp has also become drier from this. I have long thick hair. And just as you say, products you have beforehand can affect the scent of shampoo and conditioner. It doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with the product itself, maybe you can give it to someone or let your daughter use it up. One tip is to try using a clarifying shampoo beforehand, if you have a lot of styling residue in your hair. My favorite shampoo!
Of all the shampoos I've tested over the years, it's this one that keeps my hair fresh the longest (I have thin and wavy hair). Very pleasant feeling both during the shower and even after the hair has dried, as it feels both soft and moisturized. When it comes to the conditioner, I also think it works great and does what it should! The only thing that brings down the rating is the packaging, which is hard, and the less product there is, the harder it is to get it out (especially the conditioner). The products feel rehydrated and cleanse/moisturize well, but 2 things bring down the rating for me: 1. the packaging is a bit hard, I think. Very hard, and especially the conditioner is super hard to squeeze out with one hand. This makes me reach for other products. 2. I have typically thin, flyaway, naturally curly hair and these are a bit too heavy products for my hair type as it gets flat and greasy like the day after already. My hair doesn't like
Unfortunately, my hair doesn't like these products. I took a chance since I really loved Lyko's own shampoo, conditioner, and mask, which have now been discontinued.
