Finally the right kind of pink 🩷
As a Lyko Testpilot, I had the task of trying out a couple of lip products from Clarins. My initial spontaneous feeling about the Clarins Lip Perfector Glow 21 Soft Pink Glow was that it might be too thin & transparent on me. But after using it a few times, I changed my mind a bit. The color is actually nice to build up. One layer gives just a light pink shimmering tone, while more layers make it much more pronounced. I actually like being able to control the result myself, especially since 21 Soft Pink Glow is that cool pink shade I’m always looking for & that’s usually hard to find in many brands. The feeling on the lips is the best part. It feels moisturizing, smoothing & caring, with shea butter which is already a favorite ingredient of mine. I also find that it sinks well into the lips, so the effect lasts a long time. The plumping effect could have been more noticeable. As a Lyko test pilot, I've had the chance to try some lip products from Clarins. Their Lip Comfort Oil 04 Pitaya caught my attention right away. It gives a lot of shine in an elegant way. The lips look fuller and more prominent without feeling too much. I have quite a strong visual presence in my face and find that most lip products almost disappear on me, but this one actually shows. 04 Pitaya has just the right amount of depth in color to lift the lips and bring more life to the face without the color taking over the rest of the makeup. I also like the large applicator. You get a good amount of product and can cover the lips quickly. The texture is quite heavy, which I think is especially nice now during autumn. It feels enveloping and protective but not sticky at all. More like the lips are wrapped in a soft, glossy layer that feels really luxurious. More lip care than color 💗
As a Lyko Testpilot, I received the Clarins Lip Oil Balm 03 Lychee, which I have now tested for a couple of weeks. What I like is how it behaves on the lips. Instead of just sitting as a glossy layer on top, I feel that it sinks in and makes the lips soft, even after the initial shine has disappeared. 03 Lychee gives a fairly subtle color on me, but together with the shine, the lips get a fresher and more well-cared-for appearance. It feels very pleasant on my sensitive lips, and I like that I can apply it quickly during the day without a mirror. The only thing I miss with this right now during autumn is a bit more richness in the texture. It is quite thin, and when the lips get drier from the weather, I would have liked something that feels a bit more protective. At the same time, it is precisely this thin texture that makes it actually sink in instead of just staying on the surface. This review is for their Lip Comfort Oil in the shade 04 Pitaya! A lip gloss that both gives shine and a nice color is always a big plus, so I was very excited to try this! 💋 I found the formula felt very soft and pleasant on the lips, while giving an incredibly nice shine! The shade 04 Pitaya gives a lovely pink tone that really brightens up the lips without feeling too much. I really love a light pink/baby pink color on the lips, so I was very happy when I got to try this! 💗 The color was really exactly what I’m looking for in a lip product! A perfect light pink shade that gives the lips a nice glow without being too much. I find that it gives a very nice and fresh look that fits perfectly both for everyday and when you want to spice up your makeup a bit. It also feels very comfortable on the lips and gives a nice shine that makes the lips look both soft and moisturized. Incredible lip gloss!
Clarins lip perfector glow in the shade 21 soft pink glow. I've never been a fan of lip gloss because I don't like that sticky feeling, but this one surprised me so much, it doesn't stick at all and is so lovely to apply on the lips. Here we really have a lip gloss that moisturizes, leaves a nice glossy finish without feeling too much. It smells a bit of vanilla and the staying power is also really good! Clarins lip oil balm in the shade 03 Lychee. The shade Lychee is almost identical to my natural lip color, which works really well for me to use daily without drawing too much attention. Applying this over the lips is really butterly smooth, really lovely to have on the lips! It has a very faint scent, which will probably suit many. Lip Oil with Shine!
Clarins lip comfort oil in the shade 04 Pitaya. I already have this lip oil in the shade honey, which I really love, so I already knew I would like this one too. I like that the applicator is a bit bigger, which allows me to swipe over my lips once and cover everywhere on the first pass. Very pleasant oil that glides easily on the lips and gives a wonderfully nice glossy result with a slight plumping effect. It has a candy-like scent and gives a subtle dark pink color. Works just as well on its own or over lip liner/lipstick. Completely okay lip balm
This is a nice nourishing lip balm with a slight hint of color. They are very low-pigmented, which I like. Gives a very glossy, nice finish to the lips. Perfect for everyday use. However, I unfortunately felt that it disappeared from the lips very quickly and they dried out fast. Needed to reapply every hour. Has a pleasant sweet scent if you like that. I think it worked okay but nothing more than that. Would rather choose other lip products from Clarins than this one again. Kiss-proof lips ♥️
This oil has everything your lips need plus that little extra. Love that it can be used in several ways! On its own to nourish, your lips really become mirror shiny and you feel plumped. Smells sweet like candy. I also really like to wear it over lipstick to give that little extra to the lips for, for example, festive occasions. I’ve had the honor of testing this lip gloss, and here’s my honest opinion about it! This is the perfect tube in my opinion. Easy and convenient to use. To start with, the applicator is amazing; thanks to the soft applicator, the gloss lays perfectly on the lips. Feels like a luxurious application! Nice and moisturizing
I thought it looked really nice on the lips. The color is close to my natural lip color, so it only gave a little color, but a very nice shine that I thought made a big difference! The feeling it gave the lips is probably what I liked the most. It felt like a lip balm and made the lips soft and moisturized. Very comfortable to wear and doesn’t feel heavy at all. I had to reapply a few times during the day as it disappeared when eating/drinking, which of course is understandable. 🥰 The price is a bit on the high side compared to what I would have paid for a lip oil balm. Soooo pretty shine!
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this lip oil! What I like most is that it feels so light on the lips. I usually don’t like when lip oils or glosses feel too sticky, but this one feels comfortable 🥰 I also thought the lips looked shiny without it feeling like you have a ton of product on. A little goes a long way. I also think it made my lips look a bit fuller, which I like I also thought the color was nice, I was a bit worried it would be “loud” but I thought it blended well with the natural color of the lips. I have slightly darker lips and thought it looked really nice! The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I need to reapply it quite often during the day, especially since I move around a lot at work. I also don’t know if I felt it was nourishing for the lips, more on the lip gloss side I would say.
