Really impressed
I have been testing this foundation from Estee Lauder for a few weeks now. I have the shade 2N2 Buff. Below is my review ✨ Sidenote: I understand they have changed the formula of this foundation, and I did not test the previous formula, so for those of you who want a comparison, I apologize if you’ve read this far 🤝 🤎 MY SKIN OVERALL - Combination skin, tends to get dry during the winter months. But generally very oily skin. - Prone to pimples and clogged pores - Slightly sensitive to perfumed products and vitamin C 🤎 PROS - Very good longevity with this foundation - Applies very nicely on the skin - Good coverage - Buildable coverage if desired - Works very well with my other makeup products 🤎 CONS - A bit pricey 🤎 I have been using the same foundation for a while now and haven’t dared to try a new one, but I am incredibly impressed with this product. I find it generous in size and very easy to use. I would say the longevity is what makes me rate this highly. I compare it to the cheaper options I’m used to using, which matters, but I want to say it beats everything I’ve tried before. To be clear from my video that I attached, the last clip shows me wearing this foundation for 12 hours without primer, taking a motorcycle helmet on and off several times 😮💨 It might not look like much to the world, but I had no makeup left on my face when I used other foundations under the helmet. Classic that lives up to expectations also with the renewed formula
This foundation is a successful update of the already familiar classic 🤌🏼 Expectations were high based on the old formula, and the product definitely did not disappoint. The foundation stays excellently on the skin all day, and you don’t need to touch it up during the day. The result is a bit more radiant and velvety compared to the previous completely matte formula, which I especially like. The only small downside is that the foundation settles a bit into fine lines, like smile lines and under the eyes. However, this doesn’t take away too many points from the overall, as the durability and beautiful finish are otherwise excellent. Plus for the wide shade range, as with 70 different shades it’s probably easier for many to find the right shade. Understand that others like it, but
It’s not for me. I have tried #esteelauder double wear foundation as #lykoinflutester I have combination skin that is currently drier and more sensitive than usual due to the weather changes. Unfortunately, it dries me out even though I moisturize my skin well beforehand, so I just look dry and flaky. Also, I would like a pump function because I’m terrified of spilling it or my child getting hold of it and just pouring it all out😅 BUT it has very good coverage and the staying power is great! (On the days when I haven’t been as dry) In the video, I applied a very thin layer on half of my face to show that the redness almost disappears and it is also buildable. It has a nice matte finish and I can definitely see myself using it in the summer together with another foundation or mixing it with a day cream. As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try the #ESTEELAUDER Foundation Double Wear Stay‑In‑Place Makeup SPF10. This is a classic foundation that has been reformulated partly due to the EU's new regulations on silicones. The company wanted better "skin-caring" properties and more shades. They claim with this new formulation that it should be "vibrantly" matte, control shine but at the same time add moisture. Be light on the skin, give a flawless finish, be buildable, and have 36 hours of wear! No bad claims...😅 👩🦰My skin; I am 36 years old and have underlying hormonal acne that I have more or less problems with. My skin can be surface dry and at the same time have a slightly oily T-zone. I struggle with fine lines, dry patches, and sometimes pimples I want to hide. 🫰What kind of base do I like? I am a bit of a makeup and skincare nerd and love trying new makeup products and Korean skincare🫶 🏵️I make sure to prep my skin with lots of moisture before applying my base/makeup so that my skin is hydrated. Then I like to use either REFY's glow and sculpt primer or Elf's gripping primer because both make my base last better throughout the day. I like a foundation that is light to medium coverage and buildable. It should give a bit of glow, preferably be dewy, but it should set well with a little powder or preferably without so that it lasts at least 12 hours. It should suit dry skin and have a slightly thicker, creamier consistency. 🫖The packaging: ➖This is a bottle with a screw cap WITHOUT A PUMP, and that has bothered me since the old version I used years ago. That such an expensive foundation from a big and well-known brand doesn't come with a pump is, in my eyes, completely unreasonable. A clear minus for that ➖ ➕The bottle itself feels luxurious though. It is glass and has a heavy, exclusive feel. The previous version was completely square, while this one has more rounded edges – something I think looks really nice➕ 🌈Shade: I used the shade 2C0 Cool Vanilla, which was liiiiittle too light for my taste. It matches my neck well but I usually want it a bit darker so it matches my chest better and I usually think slightly darker shades suit me better. ❄️The shade is cool as they write, which is an improvement from the old one where I remember all the cool shades then leaned towards warm/orange. 🚨For reference, my best fall/winter matches otherwise are: ♦️Shiseido revitalessence skin glow; 240 Quartz ♦️Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer natural dewy; 1C Cameo ♦️Dior forever skin glow (newest version); 1CR 📢Review⚠️ I tested this foundation about 3 times, wore it a full day twice. The last time I tested it, I had to remove it and use another foundation for work because it looked awful, to put it bluntly😬 ⚠️The other 2 days I had no foundation left after about 5 hours on my chin, around and on my nose. ❗ 3D FE0FThis foundation is thin and runny, with medium coverage that cannot be built up. If you try to apply an extra layer, the result immediately becomes cakey. It highlights all dry patches, gives a kind of glow but in an artificial way, and sits like a film on top of the skin. On me, it does not set at all so that the application of my cream products does not work with it. I have tried different primers, but as soon as I apply the rest of my makeup, the foundation moves. I want to be able to use cream rouge, cream bronzer, and similar on top of the base — but that doesn't work with this one. I also don't want to powder my whole face and be forced to use only powder products, which might have helped the product, but that is not a base routine that suits me. 🚫No, this was really a flop for me, does not suit what I prefer and unfortunately not my skin. Here are my thoughts on the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup ✨💄 ⭐️ First impression The packaging feels luxurious and sleek, and the quality feel is really nice! 🤍 I thought the foundation covered quite well, but I probably needed to prep my skin better to give it a fair chance. Fits like a dream
I have tried this foundation in the shade 2W2 Rattan from Estee Lauder. My skin is a typical combination skin with an oilier T-zone, pigmentation, fine lines, and mature. Cleansing and moisturizing are key. The positive thing about the product is that it doesn’t clog pores, allowing the skin to both breathe and stay hydrated. It quickly covers the entire face, so you don’t need much product, making it economical to use. I used a makeup sponge for the application itself, which gave an even and nice result. One downside is that the bottle lacks an “inner cap,” which makes it easy to pour out too much foundation. It’s also less hygienic. The packaging is otherwise luxurious and sleek; the glass bottle contains 30 ml. It comes in 70 different shades, which is great but also makes it difficult to choose the right skin tone. I find that this particular shade leans towards yellow, which doesn’t feel optimal for me. It’s also matte, so there’s no glow, so if you want that, you need to add a setting spray or similar. The durability is 36 hours, and it’s supposed to withstand water and other external factors, which is good. However, I wonder: who wears makeup for 36 hours? Not me, anyway 😅 Price-wise, it’s definitely a premium product; I wouldn’t normally buy it. At the same time, it’s economical with many good qualities. The best part is that it covers quickly and lets the skin breathe. Unfortunately, this is probably the first time I have to give such a bad review to a product. 🥺 I was really excited to try Estée Lauder’s foundation since the original had received a lot of praise. However, this is a renewed version. Unfortunately, my experience this time was not very positive. First of all, I was disappointed that the shade I chose was wrong. Of course, I chose the shade myself, so that was my mistake. But I wanted to test the foundation on my whole face to see how it looked. Already during application, I noticed that the foundation was somehow difficult to apply nicely. I couldn’t achieve the smooth and natural finish I had hoped for. Additionally, the shade seemed to oxidize during the day and clearly turned slightly orange on my face. Later, the staying power didn’t impress me either. The foundation didn’t stay nicely on my face for very long and settled unpleasantly into fine lines and pores. However, it’s good to remember that foundations behave differently on different skin types. My reliable foundation that stays put

I’m really happy that as a LYKO influencer I got to try this product, because it immediately became a favorite that I will definitely return to. The shade choice was spot on for me! Shade 2N2 Buff suits my skin tone really well, and finding the right shade makes using foundation even more enjoyable. When I found out I would get to test this product, I carefully researched which shade suits me. I’m especially happy about how well the foundation stays on my face all day. The makeup stays looking neat for a long time, and I don’t have to constantly think about touching it up. Also, the renewed formula feels better to me than before. I’ve liked this version even more than the previous one! The foundation is also extremely easy to apply with a brush. I like to warm the product in my palm first before applying it with a brush, which makes it nice to work into the skin. Sometimes I also apply the foundation with my fingers, and that works well too. It’s nice that you can apply the product in different ways depending on your mood and situation. When applied with the hand, the product looks a bit thicker and is suitable, for example, for an evening out. The foundation is really economical, so even a small amount gives a good result and the jar will definitely last a long time. I also bought a pump separately for the product, as it makes it much easier to dispense the right amount of foundation. The pump is definitely a convenient addition to using the product! One note though: because the foundation stays on the face so well, you need a proper makeup remover or micellar water to remove it. Just a quick face wash is not enough in my opinion, so it’s worth setting aside a bit more time for makeup removal. All in all, I’m really satisfied with this foundation. The right shade, the all-day lasting finish, the easy application, and the improved formula make this a product that’s easy to fall in love with. 🙋♀️ I have very sensitive, dry to combination skin that is extremely allergy prone. I also have some fine lines around my eyes and sun spots on my cheek bones and forehead. I'm very pale and my skin has cool undertones. 📦 The packaging It comes in standard plastic bottle with a twist-off cap. 👀 The texture and looks The foundation is exactly as you would expect the texture and looks look. It's bit runny but once applied, stays put. It's very difficult to remove! 🤔 My opinion I wore this foundation for a full day, and it looked exactly the same in the evening as it did when I first applied it in the morning. No fading, creasing or budging! The finish is matte and the coverage is medium but very buildable. I got the shade 1N1 Ivory Nude, which I think was a perfect match for my skin tone. Usually, I'm more of a skin tint person and don't usually wear a full face of foundation, so I applied just one thin layer. This gave me medium coverage, but my sun spots were still visible. You can definitely build up the coverage, although in my opinion it starts to look a little cakey if you apply too much of it. I have dry and sensitive skin, so I was a bit worried about how this foundation would feel throughout the day. But it didn't dry out my skin or cause any breakouts. I do use very thick moisturiser and hydrating serum (especially now that the weather is getting colder) so that might have helped. 🤷🏼♀️ One thing worth mentioning is that this foundation is seriously difficult to remove! Even after double cleansing with my heavy duty cleansers, I still had some product left in areas I hadn't rubbed thoroughly. So make sure you take your time removing it properly. Little bonus is that it also has SPF 10, although I wouldn't rely on that alone for sun protection. One thing I'm disappointed with is the packaging. For such a high-end foundation (with that price point!), I really think it should come with a pump (or something similar)! Just having the twist-off cap can get messy. I also find a pump (or more narrower opening) more hygienic, as it minimises contact with the product. To summarize, I think this is a nice foundation if you're looking for a matte finish, buildable coverage and incredible staying power. For me, the biggest downsides are that it can look cakey if you apply too much, that it's quite difficult to remove and the packaging. I got this foundation to test #lykoinflutester and have now used it for over a month. I think this is an insanely good foundation. There has been a lot of talk about reformulation and that it would have gotten worse because of that. I have also tried the original version and I think this one is better. The foundation is covering but still light on the face, which is very important to me right now. With the technique I use to apply foundation, I get a slightly more radiant base. The shades are a bit yellowish in each, but I found an almost perfect shade for myself and I am happy with it. Other makeup applies really beautifully on top of this and the base doesn’t move during application. The base also still looks really good at the end of the day. I also tried different primers underneath and they all work really well with this! A minus goes to the packaging; pouring it into the hand is a bit shaky and often too much or too little foundation comes out (mostly too much). You can buy a pump for it at a pretty affordable price if you want. Feels nice and is good, but not a miracle cure
I bought Estees Lauder Advanced Night Repair after reading so many positive reviews and posts about it. I'm new to taking care of my skin (and myself), so I thought it would fit into my evening routine. I imagined, despite having seen it in many videos ☺️, that it would be much oilier. So I was pleasantly surprised that it was more serum-like, but still not. I was most afraid of the scent, as I am a bit sensitive to scents, generally have trouble with fragrances, and get migraines. I expected a fairly strong, old-fashioned scent, but no! It smells rather lightly floral (or rosehip?), really hard to describe; not fresh, but not intrusive or heavy either, just pleasantly mild, which is great – also considering the night.😴 I need to use quite a bit to spread it over my whole face and neck. My skin soaks it up immediately, it absorbs almost instantly. It doesn't stick or feel greasy, but feels really nice and pleasant! 🥰 I use it after the night serum (with retinal) and before my night cream. I've used this for about 2 weeks and unfortunately don't see any noticeable results. I think the skincare I'm currently testing is what makes my skin smooth and nice (review of that will come later, after testing for a longer time), not this one. Will I buy it again? Hmmm.. probably not.. or well, I don't know. I can imagine there are better oils/serums at a better price, but I really don't know. If I think about it, I would probably miss something if I didn't have it in my routine.. So I'm torn. Okay but not very satisfied
🌼I got to try this foundation from #esteelauder as #lykoinflutester. I tried the shade 1C0 Shell. 🌼 My first impression was that it was easy to apply on the skin and blended nicely. I found it looked best when applied with a beauty blender instead of a brush. The packaging is nice but I didn’t like that it was just a bottle. It made it easy to get too much or spill. The foundation gave a good and full coverage result. My contour and blush (in cream or liquid form) were very easy and smooth to apply on top of the foundation. However, I felt it moved quite easily when I applied powder afterwards. Without powder it looked nice, but with powder I felt it looked a bit "cakey." I found this foundation lasted quite long if you didn’t use powder, as it didn’t give a nice result with powder for me. This might be different with another powder. Luxurious but 🤑
Super fun to try a slightly more premium makeup brand! As you can see in the pictures, I have a bit of darkness under my eyes. Two months postpartum with baby number 2 (two under two) and I also have a small pimple. Note: I can definitely look more tired than usual 😂 I only used a beautyblender and no primer, setting spray, or powder. I quickly noticed that I didn’t like the packaging being so “open.” I would have liked a dropper or a pump to get the foundation out. I’m a bit clumsy myself and could have easily spilled it 🥺 I used a small brush to pick up the product to avoid getting too much. Feels easy to work with, covers dark circles, and matches my color very well! ——————————————— Overall, I’m happy with the product BUT when compared to my other favorite, which is more budget-friendly, this one didn’t do the little extra that would make it worth 3x the price. I compared ingredients and nothing stood out much between them except that this one has more preservative ingredients and niacinamide. Niacinamide isn’t something I feel is necessary in foundation, especially since most skincare products already contain it. Would I buy this again? Nah, the price was a bit too high for me. Bronzer and blush are from #nudestix (my favorite blush in the pink range 🥰) and highlighter from #revolution. On the eyes, I have shadows from #estellethild’s palette and opened a new and fresh tubing mascara from #essence. Under the shadows, I have shadow primer from #urbandecay. I blow-dried my hair straight after showering last night and slept with all my hair rolled up on ONE of the rods from #bylyko. It gave a bit of volume and small waves anyway! 🤗10 products in the look

Loved it before, but not anymore
I loved the old formulation of Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, but the new one is unfortunately a big disappointment for me. It oxidizes throughout the day and becomes noticeably more orange, transfers onto everything it touches (despite both powder and setting spray), and the iconic matte finish is gone. I understand that the reformulation is probably due to new ingredient requirements, but the result unfortunately doesn’t feel like the same foundation. Among the biggest changes is that cyclopentasiloxane – the silicone that contributed to the matte finish – has been removed. They’ve also added hyaluronic acid for more moisture, niacinamide (which many react to), and introduced a new “polymer mesh matrix” that’s supposed to give a more natural result. For my skin, I unfortunately find that this makes the foundation transfer much more easily, settle more into pores and lines, and get a finish that feels more oily than matte. Not flattering in any way. Really sad, because this has been one of my favorites for many years. PS: If you’ve used this before and are buying it again now, you might need a different shade – I did. The new Estee Lauder Double Wear doesn't resemble the old one much: this one is more hydrating and glowy, and the coverage is lighter than the original. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair is an amazing serum. The results after use are so good that the word “expensive” almost loses its meaning. It’s truly worth the money.
