🙈I have to be honest – I only use sunscreen during the spring/summer months and then almost only if I'm going to be outside for a longer time. I know it's like swearing in church, but that's just how it is. I avoid the sun now and always wear a hat or cap if I'm in the sun. ✨Now, despite it being November, I've used this pretty much every day during the testing period, and I have actually used this before, so I have a clear understanding of this sunscreen. I also want to mention that during the testing period I haven't used the amount I use in the summer, as I find it unnecessary. 🙆About my skin: - The youthful, natural glow is a distant memory as this skin has been around for almost 50 years. - Old sun damage and pigmentation changes, due to a lot of seasonal work in warmer latitudes during the 90s. (I prioritized other things over skincare at that time) - Somewhat dry and a bit sensitive. 🫰This sunscreen is actually one of the few that I really like. The reason I appreciate this sunscreen is that it feels more like a regular, slightly lighter day cream. It doesn't stick at all and doesn't feel like anything on the skin. I don't have to wait an eternity for it to absorb into the skin. 🙏I, who easily get pimples and/or redness from certain sunscreens, have had no issues whatsoever with this one. My new go to SPF ☀️
This is definitely the SPF I will reach for the most this summer. The spray is so easy to apply and distribute, and you also get a nice glow! ✨ Since it has "only" SPF 30, I definitely need to reapply it more often when I'm in the blazing sun for longer periods. But you should do that anyway to ensure protection. But it would also be great if it came in SPF 50. That's why it gets one star less. What I absolutely must mention is the incredibly lovely scent. I have tested this tinting SPF from #beautyofjoseon and it is truly a hybrid between skincare and makeup! Before I dive into what I think, I want to share a bit about my skin: 🌸 dry to normal 🌸 freckles 🌸 a few wrinkles 🌸 the occasional pimple 🌸 red areas around the nose and sometimes cheeks/forehead I can start by saying that I haven't used this solely as SPF, but I always apply a pure SPF 50 underneath, because otherwise I have to use a lot of product to get enough protection. I love that it lets my freckles show without making them gray (those of you with freckles know how hard it can be to find a base that doesn't make freckles look dull). That's a really big plus for me. It is incredibly runny, so be careful when applying it, otherwise it can end up cream everywhere, haha. I love thin foundations that don't feel like a warm blanket in the summer, which this one doesn't do. However, it takes a long time to work it into the skin, it feels like it easily lays down as a thin, thin film first, which makes the result streaky. I prefer to use my hands first and massage it into the skin, then I go over with a sponge for the best result. Brush does not give a good result for me at all. I chose to test the color MP200, which is supposed to have a relatively cool undertone, at first I didn't think it had a cool undertone at all, but now I've changed my mind, it is relatively cool and still dark so it fits me perfectly in the summer and when I self-tan! It is buildable but take a little at a time if you want more coverage, because as I said, it needs to be worked in for a long time, I think. I've thrown this on almost every day since I got it and it doesn't irritate my skin, just a reminder to have another SPF underneath that is pure, I think it's important if you really want to protect yourself from the sun. I absolutely think it gives nice coverage without me looking made up, it also gives a nice glow, smells like nothing special and feels light on the skin! And gotten lots of dark pigmentation on my upper lip and cheeks. 🌞Well, not anymore! This is how I cracked the code: 🧴OLIKA SPF for different areas. One fits all doesn't actually work all the time. If you want to slather your regular SPF on your hairline, be my guest, but your hair will definitely get greasy, 100%. Avoiding burning the part and greasy hair is possible, thanks coola for that 🙏🏼 On my face, I use thin, moisturizing SPF, often Korean, and it has worked for my skin. For the body, it's nice if my daughter and I can use the same gentle sunscreen! 💦Hypochlorous acid Works for just about everything. Neutralizes exposed skin and soothes everything from sunburn to insect bites! 👱🏽♀️Do you protect your hair as much as your skin? I do. The sun dries out and makes hair brittle. UV protection and repairing masks are not something I skimp on! Cap, updo, scarf, etc. are of course also on! 🫧And of course shampoo & mask that protect against hard water.
