Thanks to Centella Asiatica, it soothes redness and irritation in a flash, while giving such a lovely, deep hydration. As the beauty nerd that I am, I just had to click home this incredibly hyped SPF! And since Iβm also very fond of K-beauty, my expectations were sky-high! I fell head over heels for the color range in Cotton Candy Skies (who wouldnβt be happy with this color palette!) and just had to click it home! I've always liked Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea perfumes, but this pistachio variant is truly something special! It opens up super fresh with that classic, uplifting citrus and green tea vibe, but as soon as it lands on the skin, it transforms into such a wonderful, creamy, and nutty scent. Exciting properties, but my face rejected it immediately
This one is incredibly concentrated and you donβt need much product at all to cover the entire face. Which is a big plus! I absolutely understand the idea that it should exfoliate and renew cells to give the skin a new glow, but unfortunately my skin couldnβt handle it. Every time I applied it, I got an immediate tight, almost burning sensation in my face and the skin turned completely red. I tried to tough it out and reduce usage to just a few times a week, but my skin barrier reacted negatively every time. It gets three stars because the formula feels very advanced and high quality, and it probably works wonders for someone else. But if you know you have sensitive skin and easily react to exfoliation, Iβd probably skip this one. Nice gel consistency that unfortunately triggered my skin
This felt so nice at first! I really appreciate the gel consistency, it felt super fresh, cooled pleasantly on the skin, and gave a really nice glow the first few days! At first, I thought I had finally found the perfect product. But then came the setbackβ¦ After less than a week, my face started to flare up and I got lots of small, itchy irritation spots especially on my forehead, which took quite a long time and a lot of moisture to get rid of after I stopped using it. Itβs so frustrating when a product feels so good at first but then just irritates the skin barrier after a while. Lovely protection in theory, but too harsh for my face
I had very high expectations for this because Dermalogica usually delivers good products, and the idea of a day cream that has both anti-age and SPF 50 in one is really optimal! The texture itself is really lovely, it feels luxurious and absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving that typical white, greasy film you usually get from strong sunscreens. But unfortunately, my face reacted quite quickly. After just two days of use, I woke up with red patches, and it stung badly on my cheeks. It's probably the sunscreen filter or some other active ingredient that was just too strong for me.
