- 2 months@Lisa : Fun fact: the reason why red and pink colors wash out much faster is that the red/pink color molecules are much larger and do not adhere as well to the hair1 likes

My one and only
I have been using Directions for over 10 years and have also tested other brands, but Directions are still unbeatable in terms of price-performance ratio and stay true to their packaging, where you can always get the last bit out. So far, I haven't been disappointed by any color.Translated from german

Functioned poorly, everything is blue.
My entire bathroom is blue, I am all blue. I had to scrub the whole shower with scrub cream and sponge, as the black (Ebony) rinses out red, but stains everything blue. I was trying to rinse out the color, and all the colored water was nearly stained. Even though the color is called Ebony, and showed no signs of being anything other than black, my hair is now just blue.Translated from norwegian

That sounds like a frustrating experience! We really appreciate you sharing your feedback💌 Hope you find a product that gives you the results you want next time! Wishing you a great day ahead! 🌸

Result on gray regrowth.
Wanted to show the result on mostly gray regrowth. (Not bleached at all) I have dark brown/black lengths that I'm letting grow out. I use Directions pre-colour shampoo and no conditioner beforehand. Apply to towel-dried hair and leave for 60-90 minutes. (So basically everything that shouldn't work) Used Cerice, Tulip, and Violet on different parts this time. Washes out gradually, so I top up with new color every 4-6 weeks, but surprisingly holds up well despite unbleached hair this way!Translated from swedish

After trying out really many direct dyes and after years, I returned to this brand. I lightened my hair and used this Lilac shade (and a green from a different brand). The roots and ends turned out exactly how I wanted. And even though it fades in washing, it lasts through washes better than many others. #lykoreview2 likes2197 viewsto leave a comment - 1 month
Brown Hair
Will the color show up on brown hair? I don't want to lighten it because I have curls and I don't want to damage them with bleach. Is it possible without lightening?Translated from polish
1186 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey! It all depends on what effect you want to achieve! 🎨 From experience, I know that the color won't be super noticeable on darker hair, but rather will leave a subtle, colored reflection that will mainly be visible in the right light. ✨ Depending on the shade of your hair, the effect may lean towards dark turquoise, and sometimes even green. If you want, send us pictures of your hair at obs@lyko.com, and we will try to advise you more specifically! 📩😊

DirectionsHair ColourSemi-Permanent Conditioning Hair Colour Midnight Blue
Vibrant, bold semi-permanent colors in a ton of different shades. Super easy to use and you can mix the colors to create your very own unique hue!
Preparation:
1. Shampoo
Wash your hair with a pH balanced shampoo; we recommend La Riche Pre Colour Shampoo. This will give your hair the right balance, ensuring that Directions hair color achieves the best results. Directions Colour Protecting Shampoo is specially formulated for colored hair, helping you get the most out of your color. It leaves your hair soft, manageable, and with an amazing shine.
Application:
2. Comb your hair
Comb the Directions hair color into your hair until the color emulsifies, meaning it starts to foam. This indicates that the color has penetrated the hair; lighter shades may require a bit more combing.
3. Processing
Let the color sit for 15 to 30 minutes. A plastic cap helps retain heat in the hair, which can lead to better results.
Results:
4. Rinsing
Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water, avoiding your face, until all excess color is washed out. If you're applying more than one color, make sure to wash and dry the hair separately. Be extra careful when coloring only parts of light hair.
Tips:
- Wear plastic gloves when applying the color.
- Apply petroleum jelly or another thick ointment along your hairline to avoid getting color on your forehead.
- As with all hair colors, it's recommended to do a patch test first.
- Don't use conditioner before coloring your hair.
Note! The colors may vary slightly from what is shown in the picture depending on hair type and original hair color.
