Beautiful, but difficult for light skin
Shade 0 might be too dark for really light skin. I have, for example, foundation in Fenty 100, so I'm currently the lightest. I bought shade 0, and it will be used, but mainly because the coverage is quite weak. The glow is however AMAZING. No makeup makeup at its best! Elf halo glow disappointment
I clicked home an elf halo glow in the shade “fair” because it looked light and not yellow or orange like many foundation-like products can turn out to be. In your pictures, it looked like a perfect color, but when I received it, I was met with this disappointment: a mustard yellow color and also much darker than what you showed it as, not at all resembling either the description or the color. e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter in 2 Fair/Light is truly a product I find incredibly fun to use. I love when you can make the skin look a bit more alive and glowing without having to apply tons of makeup, and that’s exactly what I like about this one. 🤍 The great thing is that it can be used in several different ways. I like to use it under foundation when I want more radiance, mix a little with my base, or apply it on certain parts of the face when I want to bring out extra glow. The texture is light and smooth and easy to work in. It gives a nice, soft glow that makes the skin look fresher without feeling like big glitter particles. It’s more that “my skin just looks really good today” feeling. ✨ 2 Fair/Light also works well if you have a light to light-medium skin tone and want a lighter glowing base. I really like when a product like this melts in instead of feeling like a separate layer on top of the skin. What I appreciate most is how easily it can change an entire makeup look. Even if you have a fairly matte foundation, a little Halo Glow underneath can make the base feel much more alive. 🥰 I also think it’s perfect for days when I don’t want to wear foundation. A bit of Halo Glow, concealer where needed, blush, and mascara – and you have a simple but still very fresh look. For me, this is really a glow product rather than a regular foundation, and that’s exactly why I like it so much. It gives the skin a little extra life and makes makeup more fun.
