Good, but way too strong scent!
About my hair: Basically, I have medium brown/dark brown hair. So when I started getting “gray hair” about 15 years ago, they are quite visible compared to my dark hair. And of course, there are more and more of these gray hairs. 😩😂 So the solution to make these not visible was to dye my hair. Besides dyed hair, my hair is dry and curly. I had previously hardly any experience with Kevin Murphy's hair products, other than having tried maxi wash in mini format. I thought that the special appearance and how the bottles were designed could be a problem. But not! Even though the cap is at the bottom, it doesn't spill out uncontrollably, which I had an idea it might do. 😂 So absolutely, good and handy bottle. The conditioner has a thick and good consistency for hair like mine, which is dry & treated. However, I need to use a lot of product for it to be sufficient. But that is standard for my hair. So nothing that makes me need to use more of Kevin Murphy than other products. Unfortunately, the conditioner has no good scent. It smells way too strong. But I have also partially damaged my sense of smell due to covid-19, which makes some ingredients in products smell very chemical. So how I perceive the scent of the product does not mean that everyone else experiences the scent “equally badly”. The main property of the conditioner should be color preserving. So, I can't see that this conditioner is more color preserving than others I use. I usually use hair products that work with “hydrate”, as I have dry hair. Sometimes I buy for colored hair. So no, I see no difference. But then I dye the roots every three weeks. So the color probably never gets a chance to be “really washed out”? I usually wash my hair about 3 times/week. So, in summary: good product for my dry hair, even though the main “goal” of the conditioner is to be color preserving, and not hydrate. Unfortunately too strong scent, which makes me not see the conditioner as my first choice when I buy conditioner again. I hesitated between giving it three and four stars. But it lands on four stars. But a so-called “weak four”. 😅 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY750 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Overpriced, totally ordinary conditioner
I was so lucky to receive Kevin Murphy Everlasting.Colour Rinse to test it out as #lykoinflutester 🧡 I have medium-length, thick, damaged, and colored hair that struggles a lot in the winter. So I was very excited about this series from Kevin Murphy. I wash my hair about 2 times a week. I have used this conditioner and shampoo from the same series, plus a hair mask from Kevin Murphy for the last 4 weeks. This conditioner is supposed to prevent color loss, protect the hair from external influences, and give a “magical glow” ✨ The first impression is that the packaging is cool. I like that the opening is at the bottom of the bottle, making it easy to get everything out when it starts to get empty. The consistency is like most conditioners. The scent, however, I’m not a fan of. I think it smells a bit like men’s perfume, and actually of all the products I’ve tested from Kevin Murphy. Fortunately, the scent doesn’t linger in the hair when it’s dry 👏🏻 I prefer conditioner in my hair after shampoo and hair mask, as a final step in washing my hair. This conditioner says it should be in the hair for 1-2 minutes, which I think is a bit long. I prefer a conditioner that can be rinsed out quite quickly. It also seems that you can use this on the scalp as well, which I’m testing. Hair and scalp after washing with this is not something I would say has a “wow factor” for me. I think the hair looks dull and lifeless, and anything but shiny and hydrated. It may well be that it has worked very well to preserve the color in the hair. But I have to say that’s all this has done for my hair 🫠 I’ve almost been looking forward to this testing period being over so I can go back to my regular hair products. Because I miss having soft, shiny, and hydrated hair. I’ve also noticed that the styling I do with my hair after washing (with my Dyson Airwrap) falls out very quickly - which is probably because the hair lacks moisture. It may also be that my hair type is not the best for this series. I can imagine that those with very naturally straight and smooth hair will like this. It may also be that this works better with another hair mask. So I will try to experiment a bit to see if I like it better then. But for now, I’m not very impressed. Especially considering the price! I think many cheaper brands have better conditioners for preserving color in hair AND making it soft and shiny 🥹 #kevinmurphy959 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Lyko Influtester
As part of the Lyko Influtester, I was allowed to try this I tried the Kevin Murphy Everlasting Colour Rinse, and I must say that the product unfortunately disappointed in several areas. The rinse is too "thick" and hard to distribute evenly in the hair. It feels a bit like a cream and you have to use quite a bit of product to get a somewhat decent effect. The product promises to refresh the color, but I experienced minimal difference. The color did not become noticeably more vibrant. The hair did not feel any softer after use. My conclusion is that the Kevin Murphy Everlasting Colour Rinse unfortunately does not work for my hair. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY64 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Conditioner
Color-protecting conditioner! First impression: pretty stylish bottle to have in the shower, fresh color. Perfect timing to test this line now, because the same day it arrived in the mail, I went to the hairdresser to color my hair! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and honestly, I think it works. The hair color has lasted better than usual, and I think the brown color is less "orange" than it usually gets. The hair feels smooth and nice afterwards, and it's easy to comb. The only downside is the smell. It smells quite strong and reminds me of a men's cologne. Luckily, it doesn't stay in the hair long – but it can be quite intense at first. #kevinmurphy #lykoinflutester39 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Everlasting. Color rinse 250 ml
As #lykoinflutester I received shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask from #kevinmurphy this time. They come in practical bottles for shampoo and conditioner, and a pump bottle for the hair mask. I have wanted to try products from #kevinmurphy for a while now, there have been a lot of products in social media. A bit of a special scent from the products, possibly just unfamiliar. But I think they are a bit more masculine products based on the scent. I recently dyed my hair, so the products worked well. The conditioner thickens a bit when applied to the hair, but I wish it provided more moisture. The hair feels a bit dry after the products are rinsed out, like with the shampoo. For me, I have to resort to products after washing my hair to keep it soft. So a bit of a sad rating of 3 from me 😊25 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Moisturizing Balm🤩
I have been so lucky to test out the Kevin Murphy line, and this balm gives lots of moisture and doesn't make the hair greasy! It has a beautiful design and a practical open/close function. This is the balm for you if you want to bring life to your colored hair as well as lots of moisture and shine!!!😍💦 Additionally, it protects against UVA/UVB, which is absolutely perfect☀️ It takes very little product to add the balm to the hair. (I have very long hair!) The consistency is light and thin and spreads easily in the hair. My hair is basically smooth, dry, damaged, and "dull", but after using this series designed for colored hair, I have quickly regained the shine as if I just came from the hairdresser😍 I was actually recently asked if I had just been to the hairdresser, and it’s almost exactly 1 year since the last time🤭 Fun! The only thing I have to take a little off for is the scent. It has a pretty strong smell and leans a bit more towards the masculine, unfortunately. But it’s not so bothersome that I don’t use the product since it has such a good effect😍 The hair doesn’t get heavy and greasy either. I have used the shampoo, balm, and hair mask together as recommended☺️ Highly recommended 🔥🔥🔥 #lykoinflutester #kevinmurphy124 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Shiny hair, but the scent bothers
I tried this conditioner for about three weeks along with the shampoo from the same line. The first thing I noticed was the scent, which I find quite unpleasant, somewhat similar to the shampoo, although fortunately not quite as strong. The experience was therefore not entirely pleasant due to the smell. Despite this, the conditioner did a lot of good for my hair. My hair has stayed really shiny and soft during use. I often have very tangled hair, but with this, there hasn't been as much. My hair is often surface dry and the ends are especially quite damaged, and it felt like this helped with those issues. I also have colored hair, and I feel that the color held well and didn't fade during use. There was also clearly more shine in my hair. However, I'm not sure if I would buy this myself, as the product is quite expensive and I think you can get equally good alternatives for less. I wash my hair every other day, and with this, my hair stayed well moisturized between washes. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KevinMurphy42 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Not as moisturizing as I want
I have been testing some products from #lykoinflutester for a few weeks on behalf of #kevinmurphy 🤗 This conditioner is part of the Everlasting.colour series, which consists of moisturizing and color-preserving products. According to the description, they should also counteract damage from hard water, which suits me as I live in the countryside. However, I mostly have natural hair color (I’m in the process of growing it out), so I’m unfortunately not the right person to assess that particular property. My first impression of the conditioner is that it feels luxurious and professional, as always with Kevin Murphy's products. The packaging is sleek and nice, but I think many of the colors on the packaging are a bit tricky to be honest 🙈 I won’t let that affect the rating, but it does affect whether I personally would buy it again or not... and I definitely don’t want anything bright orange in my cozy shower corner (haha). Sorry! Other than that, I have no complaints, the impression of the product itself is positive and I like the scent. It’s mild and natural, smells a bit like a sauna (birch!?), suitable for those who don’t want anything scented. My experience with the use is that it does its job, the hair feels soft and manageable after washing. It feels reasonably moisturized, but maybe neither more nor less than any other conditioner really. Whether it preserves color well or poorly, I can’t really determine, I have a bit of trouble stating how it handles the hard water as well on such a short time. I usually like Kevin Murphy's products overall, and I consider it a safe and reliable brand. However, after a couple of weeks of use, I feel that my hair has become a bit more static, I think my hair might need even more moisture than this, I usually focus on products/lines with a lot of moisture. Since Everlasting.colour is primarily marketed as a color-preserving conditioner, I think it’s a bit neglected, but I still think I’ll lower the rating to a 3, since moisturizing is actually the primary function of all conditioners, I think. I would recommend this product line to someone who is primarily looking for gentle but effective products for colored hair, and who wants sulfate-free products with mild scents.54 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Smells good
I have tested the Everlasting colour rinse from Kevin Murphy. My hair is fine and Nordic and has been through a lot of coloring and wear, so it needs a lot of good care to not look like a hay bale. I have used brown Kevin Murphy products before and been satisfied, so I was looking forward to testing this one. The bottle has an elegant and practical shape, but personally I don't think the color matches the vibe of the conditioner regarding the scent. The scent is lovely. It reminds me of spa, sauna, and dark wood. Really calm and luxurious. Therefore, in my opinion, a slightly more neutral earth tone would have suited better. The consistency is thick, and I needed quite a bit of product to cover my hair. I also applied it to the scalp. But the advantage of it being thick is that the product doesn't run out as quickly as other conditioners tend to do. I let it sit for a while, at least two minutes. My assessment is that it is a perfectly fine conditioner. The hair becomes cared for and shiny, and smells good. But I don't think it is noticeably better than other completely ordinary conditioners. #lykoinflutester #kevinmurphy13 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 2 out of 5Verifierad testare
Everlasting.Colour Rinse
I got this #kevinmurphy conditioner to test, and here are my thoughts after a couple of weeks of trying it out. For background, my hair is a bit dry at the ends, and I wash my hair 2 times a week. I don’t dye my hair, so unfortunately, I can’t assess the conditioner’s effect on color retention in the hair. I have to admit that I’m not a fan of this bottle. It’s hard to hold in the shower so that the product doesn’t spill out while I’m washing my hair. The bottle has to be laid on its side (if it fits) or the cap has to be closed, which makes my hair washing routine a bit more cumbersome and clumsy. I can only open this cap using my teeth (which I don’t recommend) because the cap is extremely tight, so I’d prefer to just leave it open 🤭. I also don’t like the scent of the product; I can’t really describe it - maybe somewhat medicinal. The shampoo from this same product line leaves my hair so dry that it screams for the conditioner’s moisture. This conditioner might not quite deliver the desired level of moisture, shine, and softness that I generally expect from a conditioner, but it does take care of the worst tangles and dryness left by the shampoo. However, I would choose this and the mask in between Kevin Murphy’s Hydrate me Masque, which feels like it treats the hair better. The product also has a strange name; I wouldn’t be able to tell that Colour Rinse means a conditioner for colored hair. I initially thought that the product line’s Colour Rinse and Wash were both shampoo products 🫢. #lykoinflutester65 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Like it
I have thick hair that curls sometimes, dye and bleach it a couple of times a year. So it is with a lot. This time of year, it gets very "electric/flyaway", especially at work since I make a lot of beds. I find that this conditioner stops my hair from going crazy. It’s easy to brush through my hair when it’s dry, and my hair feels soft and looks shiny and nice. It says to let the conditioner sit for 1-2 minutes, and I haven’t managed that every time, but it has still worked well. I also like that the conditioner feels a bit thicker in consistency. Just like with the shampoo, I’m not a fan of the scent. As a #lykoinflutester, I’ve had the opportunity to test products from #kevinmurphy, including this conditioner.56 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Moisturizing - but very strong scent!
I have now tested Kevin Murphy's Everlasting Colour shampoo and conditioner over a few weeks. I am very dissatisfied with the shampoo, but I can speak more highly of the conditioner, even though it isn't a home run either. For reference, I have normally colored hair that is now dyed to get rid of previous bleaching. First of all, I find the packaging a bit difficult - the bottle is very hard and it's hard to get the product out of it. There is also a lot of product left in the bottle that you can't get out when it's "empty". The scent is nothing to brag about either. It is very strong and reminds me of an overly concentrated men's perfume. Beyond that, I find the conditioner rich in consistency and easy to work into the hair. The hair feels immediately softer and gets a healthy shine. However, I find that I have to use quite a bit of product to achieve the desired result. The hair is easy to comb through after washing and is free from frizz and dryness. An okay conditioner for me. All in all, this is not a conditioner I will buy again. The smell makes this a no-go for me, and the price is too steep compared to how much product I have to use for my hair. #kevinmurphy #lykoinflutester65 views
