I’ve been tasked with testing The Face Glue Primer - This one delivers on its promises. The makeup sits so beautifully! Lasts all day. I’ve used this before. Nice, smooth tube. I usually don't use primer, but this product really surprised me positively. It adds a lot of moisture to the skin and makes the makeup apply more evenly and look more hydrated throughout the day. I can clearly see that the base holds better, both when I use setting spray as the last step and when I skip it. Considering the price, I think it performs above expectations and feels very affordable. It gives a fresh feeling without being sticky or heavy on the skin. I actually have nothing negative to say about this primer. Good durability
It feels quite sticky at first (in a good way!), but it makes the foundation adhere much better and stay nice longer throughout the day. I notice that my base stays more in place and looks smoother, especially around the T-zone. You only need a small amount and let it set a bit before makeup. I take off one star because it can feel a bit too "tacky" if you use too much. Nyx Primer
I have now tested the Nyx primer in collaboration with Smartson. A primer that is really good, I have a bit of dry skin so I was a little worried that it wouldn't work well under foundation, but it was good. It is smooth to work with, and blends nicely on the face. No, not for me
I have very little makeup on, so this type of product is not really meant for me, which was noticeable. Personally, I didn't notice anything particularly different, but my forehead where I have the most makeup got dry and the makeup separated. It's probably better for someone who uses thicker foundation or more makeup. It has a relatively watery consistency that doesn't feel heavy on the skin, and I don't think it sticks much. But no, it doesn't do anything special, and I've tried to use it several times but get the same result. Save your money and don't buy it, there will be no difference whether you have it on or not. Great primer!
My first impression of the primer was very positive ✨ The bottle and applicator feel well thought out and make it easy to get just the right amount of product out - no mess or waste of product. When applying, I patted the primer in with my hands and only needed a few drops to cover my entire face. It feels quite sticky - stickier than, for example, the Hydro Grip Primer from Milk - but in a way that really grips the makeup 💧 A big advantage is that it doesn't need to dry before foundation is applied. I used NYX Bare With Me Blur Tint Foundation on top and didn't experience any rolling of the primer at all. I worked the foundation in with a sponge and the result was really nice, a lovely glow ✨ despite the foundation itself being more on the matte side. However, it wasn't great at minimizing the visibility of pores, as you can see in the pictures, the pores are quite visible in daylight. I have relatively dry skin and didn't feel that my skin was dehydrated throughout the day, which is a big plus for me 💛 The makeup also held up well - the first two pictures were taken right after application and the last one several hours later, and the result really stays nice. In summary, this is a really good primer at a very good price 💕 I can absolutely recommend it! Best primer!
The Face Glue Primer I really feel that this primer lives up to its name ”glue primer”, it keeps my makeup in place all day and I find it easier to achieve an even result on top of the primer. I, who have sensitive skin, do not experience my skin becoming irritated or red from this primer, which is a big plus. It feels light but still retains its properties and is a good base for keeping the makeup in place. I also do not find this primer to be sticky or anything like that, which one might think considering the name! Good base!
I tested the primer on two different occasions, and it is definitely something that will be in rotation. The packaging is cute, and it really looks like school glue, which is a fun detail. On the skin, it definitely becomes sticky (in a good way!), so it really feels like it grips the foundation so it lasts. I found that it held well, but on the first occasion, I hadn't done my usual moisturizing skincare beforehand, and I definitely noticed a difference because the result was worse, but that's probably not really the primer's fault. Overall, I thought it was good, though not a miracle product that made my makeup flawless all day, but still better than without primer. I don't know if it's exactly due to the primer or some kind of interaction with some of my other products, but on the driest areas of my face, the makeup became a bit wrinkled and crumbly, but it wasn't really a big concern.
