    Love!

GelIQ is SO worth it. If done the right way, they can last 3-4 weeks. The nails in the second picture I had for 3 weeks, just did new ones (first picture). To make them last, I file the top of my nail so it’s not smooth, then I follow the instructions but I take more layers of the actual color than what it says. I STRONGLY recommend GelIQ! There are tons of videos on TikTok showing how to make them last better and longer!

    Side effects?

I think the product is really good and the whole idea behind it is fantastic. But I've gotten worse nails and cracks under the nails in the skin that are recurring. I wonder if anyone else has gotten these cracks from gel iq? Since I don't know yet where they come from, but I get new recurring cracks when I change the color after 14 days. The nails have also "rested" which can be seen in the pictures. Is there anyone else who has had these problems?!

That's how I get it too, for me it works with products that are HEMA-free, for example le manicurists - they don't last as long though and you don't really get that salon-like feeling, but worth it considering you avoid the allergic

    Not for me

I’ve tried it several times since I got it, but I didn’t feel any wow factor. I had to do several layers for the colors to even cover, and when I was done, I could easily "scale off" the whole nail. In my opinion, it’s not worth the time it takes to do them😞

Hey Ellie😊 Thank you for sharing your experience🀍 What a shame that this didn't quite suit you. It's completely understandable that it feels frustrating when you've spent time doing gel polish but don't experience the β€œwow feeling” you hoped for. The Gel iQ system is a starter kit for doing gel nails at home with a UV/LED lamp and gel products, but the results can really vary depending on technique, nail type, and how you apply the products. Feel free to check out this instead, which gives a gel polish finish feeling for many: lyko.com/sv/essie/essie-gel-couture-nail-polish-485-princess-charming-135-ml without needing a UV lamp and multiple steps πŸ’…πŸΌ Or why not these: lyko.com/sv/smink/naglar/nageldekorationer/love-n-layer-solid-layers-light-pink ✨ I hope you find a smoother alternative for yourself and have a lovely dayπŸ’«

    Works well

I have builder gel on my natural nails and it helps them grow long. It's relatively easy to fix the nails and they last a long time. The only problem is the removal, which I find a bit tricky. I usually end up tearing a bit and damaging the nail surface. But as I said, I haven't used these in a long time, so I haven't found a removal method that works really well for me... Otherwise, these have worked really well.

    Risk of developing eczema

Was nice a few days ago, but the polish came off from several nails. Used the product three times and then got contact eczema on my thumb that is still there a year later. So warning for that!

Hi Anna! 🀍 Thank you for your review!✨ So unfortunate that you have been affected by contact dermatitis. When doing gel treatments, it is important to avoid untreated material coming into contact with the skin, which is why it is extra important to follow the application steps carefully πŸ™πŸ» We appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you a really nice day! 🌞

    Wished for better durability

Had high hopes that this kit would save my soft nails while I work. Sure, it works for 2 max 3 days, then I can see that the whole polish comes off my nail and can easily be peeled off in one piece. I followed the instructions to the letter but can't get it to work.

    Convenient and easy

The Depend IQ lamp is convenient and easy to use for at-home manicures. It dries the gel evenly and quickly, resulting in a durable and shiny finish. It's easy to handle even for beginners and takes up hardly any space. Plus, it's not that expensive, making it a really affordable choice for anyone wanting to achieve salon-like results at home.

    Disappointed...

The first time I used it, it worked quite well since the first nail fell off about a week after I did them, but after that it just didn't work anymore and several fell off the first day after I did them... 1/5

Hi Esantila Marku, thank you for taking the time to review! πŸ€— How sad to hear that the result wasn't as expected! Gel iQ requires a few steps to adhere properly, so sometimes it can lift if any step hasn't fully cured or if the nail hasn't been completely cleaned free of oil before application. One tip is to carefully follow each step in the starter kit and preferably finish by sealing the polish properly over the nail edge, it can make a big difference for durability! πŸ₯°
