Love!
GelIQ is SO worth it. If done the right way, they can last 3-4 weeks. The nails in the second picture I had for 3 weeks, just did new ones (first picture). To make them last, I file the top of my nail so it’s not smooth, then I follow the instructions but I take more layers of the actual color than what it says. I STRONGLY recommend GelIQ! There are tons of videos on TikTok showing how to make them last better and longer!

Side effects?
I think the product is really good and the whole idea behind it is fantastic. But I've gotten worse nails and cracks under the nails in the skin that are recurring. I wonder if anyone else has gotten these cracks from gel iq? Since I don't know yet where they come from, but I get new recurring cracks when I change the color after 14 days. The nails have also "rested" which can be seen in the pictures. Is there anyone else who has had these problems?!

  That's how I get it too, for me it works with products that are HEMA-free, for example le manicurists - they don't last as long though and you don't really get that salon-like feeling, but worth it considering you avoid the allergic

Wished for better durability
Had high hopes that this kit would save my soft nails while I work. Sure, it works for 2 max 3 days, then I can see that the whole polish comes off my nail and can easily be peeled off in one piece. I followed the instructions to the letter but can't get it to work.

Disappointed...
The first time I used it, it worked quite well since the first nail fell off about a week after I did them, but after that it just didn't work anymore and several fell off the first day after I did them... 1/5

Gel iQ requires a few steps to adhere properly, so sometimes it can lift if any step hasn't fully cured or if the nail hasn't been completely cleaned free of oil before application. One tip is to carefully follow each step in the starter kit and preferably finish by sealing the polish properly over the nail edge, it can make a big difference for durability! 🥰

Can you use gel builder with these products, or do you need the whole gel builder kit for that?

  Hey there Nea!👋🩷 Gel Builder cannot be used together with the Gel iQ kit on its own, as the base and products in each system are tailored for their own steps and curing times✨ If you want to build or strengthen your nails, you need the whole Gel Builder kit🩷 However, you can apply Gel iQ color on top of the builder gel once the build is complete, before the top coat! Take care!

  Hey Alma! 💜 Oh no, then I understand that one becomes contemplative 🙈 It sounds like the polish hasn't cured properly. To achieve the best durability, it's important that the nail is thoroughly cleaned with Pre-Cleanser, that you apply really thin layers of both color and top coat, and cure each layer for 30 seconds in the lamp. Also, avoid getting polish on the cuticles, and always finish with High Shine Top Coat that is cured. Then the result usually becomes both hard and durable 😊 Have a great day! 💫
