Amazing!!
I heard that this is almost the same as the Medik8 product, the only difference is the price, and of course I tried it because Medik8 is so expensive. And this is lovely!! My skin has experienced retinal before, so there was no irritation, I put La Roche Posay cicaplast B5 cream on top, and my skin is silky in the morning. I've already been asked after a short time of use what product I use when my skin glows and is so smooth, as I had a long break from retinal because I couldn't afford Medik8, but now I don't need that anymore because I have this!! <311306 views - The post was made 9 hoursRating: 5 out of 5verified customer

Rosacea
Hi I have rosacea and sensitive skin, can I use this product?378 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 6 daysHello Anki! 👋 Yes, it can work to use this retinal serum even if you have rosacea and sensitive skin, but I would recommend that you be a little extra careful and listen to your skin 💛 Start with 1-2 evenings a week, use a small amount, and follow up with an extra moisturizing cream💧 Feel free to do a patch test on a small area first and don't forget sunscreen during the day! All the best ✨

Combining with Vitamin C
Can this be combined with Goodal's vitamin C serum? For example, on other nights vitamin C? I read somewhere that during the skin's adjustment phase to retinal, other active ingredients shouldn't be used, but I'm not sure🥹 Also, is this applied to dry skin after cleansing and then the others, or after toner and serum and then moisturizer? Thanks✨653 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 1 weekHi Pinja 😊 When you use retinal for the first time, it is often recommended to keep the rest of your skincare routine simple – not because vitamin C is incompatible, but because it makes it easier to identify what might be causing irritation if your skin reacts. A good routine is to use vitamin C in the morning and retinal in the evening. Your skin doesn’t need to be completely dry before applying A-Game 5. Unlike some stronger retinoids, it is generally well tolerated after a moisturizing toner. However, if you have very sensitive skin, applying the product to dry skin followed by moisturizer can help minimize irritation. Have a wonderful day! 🌼

A solid retinal serum
A good retinal serum that does its job. I have nothing special to complain about – the product is easy to use, absorbs nicely into the skin, and has worked well in my skincare routine. I have not experienced irritation, and my skin has tolerated it well. Maybe not a product that impressed me greatly, but definitely a safe and good choice that I would consider buying again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆1793 views - The post was made 2 weeks
Good next step?
Hi! I have used various retinoid products from "the ordinary" and have been using The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion every day (sometimes every other day in combination with salicylic acid on the other nights) for about 1.5 years and feel that my skin likes it. However, I want to step up to the next level in retinol use and wonder if this product would be a good strength for that?968 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 2 weeksHi Elin 😊 This could absolutely be a very good next step for you. A-Game 5 contains retinal, which is a more active form of vitamin A than Granactive Retinoid. This means you can get an increased effect on, for example, skin texture, radiance, and fine lines, without the step up in strength being too big. We recommend introducing the product gradually, for example every other evening to start with, and continue to be attentive to how your skin reacts, especially if you also use salicylic acid in your routine. Have a great day! 🌼

Combine
Hi! I’m going to start using Skinoren for acne around the jaw area, is it okay to use this product as well? But not on the same night? Can you combine retinal and Skinoren? :)1076 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 3 weeksHi Alice 😊 Since Skinoren is a prescription medication, we recommend that you consult your dermatologist or the healthcare provider who prescribed the treatment to ensure that the combination suits your skin and your treatment. If you get the go-ahead to use both products, it might be good to introduce them carefully and preferably use them on different evenings at first to reduce the risk of irritation 😊 Have a nice day! 🌼

Will this help my skin problems?
Hi! Is this suitable for me? I think I have combination skin because my face is dry but sometimes my T-zone gets a bit oily. I have red spots/acne scars all over my face that I've wanted to get rid of for a long time but nothing has helped, rough texture and large blackheads on and around my nose. Will this retinal help with what I’ve described? Super grateful for an answer❤️971 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 3 weeksHi Malin 😊 This is a good choice for your skin type with combination skin, where you experience both dryness and some oiliness in the T-zone. Retinal helps the skin to renew itself, which can make red marks from acne fade, the skin becomes smoother in texture, and blackheads decrease over time, especially around the nose. However, it is an active ingredient that needs some time and regular use to show results, often a few months. For best effect, it is important to start gently and always use moisturizing products as well as sunscreen during the day. Have a nice day! 🌼

My holy grail!
I've never gone back and written a review, but I almost feel obligated to do it for this one... If I had to choose one product to take with me to a deserted island, it would be this!!! Oh my god, how it has saved my skin. I have combination skin with normal cheeks and an oily T-zone, which results in stubborn clogged (and enlarged) pores in those areas. It has long been an insecurity for me. But I can say that after 3 weeks of regular use (2x a week) I can say I've gotten exactly what I've always wanted; even skin tone, smaller pores, ZERO texture, and GLASS skin. I actually can't believe it. I use this together with Dr. Ceuracles Propolis serum + Elf’s holy hydration cream & my skin has never ever looked this good. If you have the same problem I had, you really have to try it. But be really careful, because it only works properly if you get your skin used to it, and don't forget sunscreen when using tretinoids‼️ My holy grail!!! - The post was made 2 monthsRating: 5 out of 5verified customer

Is it worth using if my skin reacts?
I haven't used products like retinal or similar before. I applied this in the evening and in the morning I had red patches on my face and it looked a bit irritated, I have quite sensitive skin. Is it worth using this at all or will the skin get used to it if I use it less often at first?2983 views- The comment was made 2 monthsIt's common for the skin to "purge" with different retinoids, meaning it reacts and clears the skin. But you should also get your skin used to it, take your time, and not use it every day if you're a beginner. So try to scale back a bit so your skin can keep up. But it could also be that your skin is sensitive and you need a milder retinoid :)1 likes
Geek & GorgeousA-Game 5 Retinal Serum 30 ml
A silky, lightweight emulsion containing a medium-strength amount of retinal to help against all signs of ageing while being gentle on the skin.
Retinal is the "big brother" molecule of the better known anti-aging superstar, retinol. While retinol needs two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form, retinoic acid, retinal is the direct precursor only one conversion step away from the active form the skin cells understand. It is estimated that retinal can convert more than 10x more efficiently to retinoic acid than retinol, making retinal an outstandingly effective member of the retinoid family (vitamin A family).
Once converted, retinal helps the skin cells to produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin more youthful, firm and elastic. It also speeds up the renewal process of the upper skin layers making it smoother and more even. A-Game is a smart-aging must-have, but it is also useful as an adjacent product for fading pigmentation, as well as helping acne-prone skin.
In terms of strength and knowledge, Geek & Gorgeous would compare their 0.05% retinal serum to the strength and knowledge of a 0.5% retinol product but with less irritation potential and possibly quicker results.
Cruelty-free | Vegan | Fragrance & Essential oil free | Gluten-free
Suitable for anyone who is looking to try out Retinal in their skincare routine. However the texture of this product is more suitable for combination and oily skin.
💘 Why we love it: This product is really a fantastic introduction to reducing skin damage such as pigmentation, wrinkles and lack of glow. Its silky formula is not drying and quickly gives results.
Perfect for: If you are looking to start using a retinoid - start here. Great for acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and over all skin health.
Texture: Yellow light weight cream.
Scent: No fragrance or perfume, smells of nothing.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Retinal (0.05%): An anti-aging superstar ingredient that is the direct precursor of retinoic acid (the active form that the skin cells understand) and shows an outstanding activity/tolerance ratio among topical retinoids.
Allantoin & Panthenol: A classic ingredient duo known for their skin soothing and skin protecting abilities.
Biosaccharide Gum-1: A carbohydrate molecule that has nice skin soothing and moisturizing abilities and makes A-Game even more gentle and silky.
Use:
Apply a pea sized amount to face in the PM! In your evening routine, apply liquid and gel-type products first (for example a toner or other serums) then A-Game. Follow with a moisturiser. Wear a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive, start using A-Game every other day and if well-tolerated, move up to every evening in two weeks. You can try using A-Game around the eye area, but pay attention not to rub it into your eyes.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding!
Good to know: A-Game has a bright yellow color due to the retinal in it. Based on our experience, it dissipates on the skin and does not leave a yellow tint on surfaces.
