Very good cream for most skin types
Barrier Resistance Cream
I love skincare and try several new skincare products every month🤗 I often order from Lyko and have tried many different products from many different brands. I was lucky and was chosen as a test pilot for Acasia Barrier Resistance Cream, and I actually haven't tested this brand before now. I was therefore very excited!
💖About me: I am 24 years old and have combination and acne-prone skin. In the summer, my skin is the oiliest, but in the winter, it becomes dehydrated, more sensitive with dry patches. I generally have more blemished skin in the summer than in the winter, but I can still quickly react with blemishes from various products.
💖First impression of the cream: I really like this type of dispenser, as it is much more hygienic with a pump compared to a jar. Simple, yet stylish design. I like that it is not in glass, so it won't break if dropped on the floor.
💖Experience with use: Since my skin is acne-prone, I am careful with the ingredient list of the products I use. I was a bit skeptical since this cream contains shea butter, and to what extent it might clog pores and lead to blemished skin is debated. I think the amount it contains probably has a lot to say. However, I did not notice any increased blemishes while using this cream!🤩
I like that the cream is fragrance-free, scent-free, and alcohol-free (Cetearyl alcohol found in the ingredient list is not alcohol/ethanol, but a fatty alcohol that is completely safe for the skin. Cetearyl alcohol is an emulsifier used in oil/water emulsions for better and thicker consistency. In addition to softening, moisturizing, and calming the skin).
Barrier Resistance Cream also contains good ingredients that are supposed to strengthen the skin barrier and provide long-lasting moisture. A suitably long ingredient list with useful content - just how I like it! I was afraid the cream would be too oily and thick in consistency, but it surprisingly absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a matte/satin finish! For creams to absorb well into the skin in general, you obviously need to cleanse the skin morning and night, as well as exfoliate the skin 2-3 times a week. No cream absorbs if the surface is full of oil, dirt, and dead skin cells🤏🏽🤏🏽
The product gives my skin good moisture without feeling oily now in the winter. Areas that are dry/red/sore are calmed, hydrated, and quickly get much better! It also works very well under makeup.
💖Decisive pros and cons for my assessment:
✅Hygienic with pump
✅Compatible for acne-prone and combination skin
✅Fragrance-free, scent-free, and alcohol-free
✅Suitably long ingredient list with useful content
✅Absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling oily
✅Moisturizes, protects, and calms dry and sore areas on the face
❌The consistency of the cream may be too thick for a very oily skin type, which I have in the summer
❌Contains shea butter, which may clog pores for those with acne-prone & oily skin
