The range depends on technique, hair density, and length — hand technique is more economical than spatula + strips, and thicker/longer hair requires more. Spatula and Strip Technique: Suitable for everyone (see images 1-3). Heat the sugar wax in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time. Once you have a thick, gooey consistency, use the spatula to apply the sugar against the hair growth. Glide the spatula over the sugar at least twice to lift the hairs. Then, place the strip on top, rub it in, hold the skin taut, and pull the strip off in the direction of hair growth.
Hand Technique: Requires some prior knowledge (see image 4). Heat the sugar wax in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time. Once you have a thick, gooey consistency, you can work with a sugar ball using the hand technique to achieve hair-free skin.
