    Works

I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, morning and night, and I can see a difference. Fewer breakouts have appeared and my skin feels better. #lykoreview

    Oil-based cleansing before this?

I wash my face with jojoba oil in the evenings. Can I use this serum after that or would it be wrong and I wouldn’t be able to absorb the serum? I don’t like regular foaming cleansers, jojoba oil works so well for my skin. Regards, Lisa

Hi Lisa 😊 Yes, you can absolutely continue washing your face with jojoba oil and still use this afterwards. What’s good to keep in mind is that the skin should preferably be free of oil residues before applying retinol, otherwise it can be harder for the serum to be properly absorbed. If you feel there’s a film left after cleansing, you can, for example, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water or wipe off with a damp towel so that the skin feels clean but not tight. Have a great day! 💌

    Product advice

Saw the video with the nighttime routine here on your page including this product & clicked on the 3-product combination, but is there a daytime routine for the morning? - & how often should I include retinol in the routine as a beginner? Never tried retinol or other serums etc. before as I have sensitive, partly oily & acne-prone skin that I am so incredibly tired of & that gives me low self-confidence… The prescription acne cream doesn’t work & I currently cleanse & moisturize with LaRoschePosay’s products (large pump bottles cleanser & Effaclar K(+) on the pharmacy’s recommendation), is it okay to continue using the face cream in combination with these products or do I need to dare to try another (Ceraves) with SPF? Every time I’ve tried something with s åg I’ve gotten breakouts…

Hi 😊 Regarding retinol, it’s good to ease into it carefully since you haven’t used it before and are sensitive. So start with 2-3 nights a week to begin with. I would recommend emailing hudterapeuten@lyko.com so I can help you further with a suitable routine for you. Have a nice day! 💌

Which day cream should I combine with

Hi! I have some acne scars and want to give retinol a try. Which day cream with SPF can I combine with retinol? I would like something that is suitable for sensitive skin and very moisturizing. Do you also have tips on makeup remover or facial cleanser that I can combine with CeraVe retinol? I've read that it's important to combine correctly as it can be very harmful if combined wrong. Thanks for the help☀️

CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum 30 ml

    1. I use Bulldog face wash and moisturizer. Do they work with this? 2. Should I apply this before or after moisturizer? 3. It seems to be important to use sun protection when using this. How sensitive is it? Can you not go outside for 10 minutes without negative consequences, or is it more that you need to be more careful in everyday life? 4. Do you have any moisturizer with SPF that you recommend using together with this?

Hey David👋🏻 Bulldog Face Wash and Moisturiser work well with CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum. Apply the serum after cleansing and before moisturiser. Sunscreen is important as retinol makes the skin more sensitive - even short periods without SPF can increase the risk of irritation, so always use SPF during the day. Here’s a tip for SPF: lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-facial-moisturising-lotion-spf50-52-ml Hope the answer can be helpful✨

    removes pimples

SOOO good for you if you usually get occasional pimples, which can be filled. And other impurities, noticed a difference after a week that the skin became smoother and many things like pimples, bumps or other “plupps” not filled disappeared! And it evens out acne scars. HOWEVER, be careful with the usage, step up slowly and then max like three times a week (at least for me), otherwise my skin barrier started to get bad, I flaked and it led to rashes with too much usage! I recommend using a soothing, thick, moisturizing cream WITHOUT any active acids when you use this. Apply daily and alternate the days with just moisture!

    Milia

Hi! I've read that retinol is good if you have milia. Is this effective against it? And can you use this under the eyes, because that's where I have milia. I also use Elixir Niactil. Can this be combined with that?

Hey Mikkel! Yes 👍 – it’s great to combine retinol with niacinamide (niactil). In fact, it’s a very common and skin-friendly combination because: ✔ Niacinamide can soothe and strengthen the skin ✔ Retinol can work on cell renewal ✔ Niacinamide can help with any irritation from retinol Just be careful: ✨ Start slowly if you’re new to retinol – for example, every other night ✨ Give your skin time to get used to the combination Have a lovely day ahead💌
