Works
I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, morning and night, and I can see a difference. Fewer breakouts have appeared and my skin feels better. #lykoreview - 3 days
Usage
Can this be used in combination with blemish control cleanser? How should they be used together in that case?186 views- Farmaceut på Lyko21 hoursHi Maja😊 Thank you for your question✨ Yes, you can use CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum together with Blemish Control Cleanser, but to avoid irritation, we recommend alternating the evenings. So use the retinol serum 1–2 times a week in the evening (note, recommended from 20 years and up) and cleanse with Blemish Cleanser on the other evenings. Blemish cleanser is an exfoliating cleanser that can be too much to use daily. Always finish with a moisturizer and don’t forget sunscreen during the day! Start cautiously with retinol and gradually increase depending on how your skin reacts, and feel free to patch test on a small area first. Hope this helps and that you have a lovely day🌞

Anti-age?
Can this serum be used as an anti-age serum only? I don't have acne problems. I like Cerave otherwise.376 views- Skin therapist at Lyko5 daysHey Linda! Glad you like CeraVe 🤍 Yes, you can 🙏 A mild formula with retinol - but still good to ease into. There are also other brands with even clearer anti-aging focus if you want to mix it up going forward. Wishing you a continued nice day!2 likes

Effects already after a few weeks
I have been using this product for 2 years and I am honestly satisfied, to the point that I always buy it for my mom and sister for Christmas. The product is effective and you can definitely see a difference after a few weeks. It has worked 100% for me and I will always come back to it!920 viewsto leave a comment - 3 weeksRating: 3 out of 5verified customer
Pretty okay
No major noticeable effect, but also not irritating or anything for my sensitive skin. Good as a “first-time retinol” at a good price! However, I prefer A-game in about the same price range.1233 viewsto leave a comment - 4 weeks
More Serums?
Hey! Can this be used as my only serum after application? Or do I need to have a complementary serum in addition to this? Right now I’m using toner from Klaris, then Vichy’s serum, then 345 skin cream. Cleansing with CeraVe hydrating cleanser. I would love to add a retinol product to my routine for a more even and pore-free surface... Does this work together then?1309 views- Farmaceut på Lyko4 weeksHi Engla😊 This can be used as a standalone serum in the evening after acclimation, but I always recommend alternating with moisture, so the best thing is to choose 2-3 evenings and then use a moisturizing serum on the other evenings so that the skin has a chance to recover in between. Experiment and see how your skin feels. Feel free to wait with retinol until autumn, as the skin can become sun-sensitive from this ingredient, also be careful with sun protection during the day regardless. Wishing you good luck with your skincare and a really nice day🌞

How to correctly use?
So im planning on purchasing: blemish control cleanser Blemish control gel Resurfacing retinol serum How should I use these correctly? What order? Should I swap any product with another one from cerave? I have acne and a lot of blackheads! Will this help?1350 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHi Nadja 😊👋 Both the cleanser and the blemish gel contain BHA. The cleanser can be used a few times a week to exfoliate the skin, but using it daily might be too much. Exfoliating with this type of cleanser one to two evenings before applying retinol can help boost the effects of the retinol, but this also depends entirely on your skin type, age, and sensitivity. Retinol also isn’t usually recommended during summer, as it can increase the skin’s sensitivity. The gel shouldn’t be combined with retinol either, as that might be too harsh. Instead, it can be used as a spot treatment when needed, on separate days or at different times. I’d really recommend trying our free skin test, it makes it much easier to recommend the right products in the right order based on your skin type 😊 Everyone helping you is a trained and licensed skin therapist or pharmacist 😍👌 You can find the test here: lyko.com/sv/beauty-scan2 All the best! 💛2 likes

When should it be used?
Should this be used before or after the blemish control gel?1702 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey Severine 💞 👉 First Resurfacing Retinol Serum 👉 Then Blemish Control Gel (once the retinol has had a chance to absorb a bit) 👉 Finish with moisturizer Feel free to start using them every other night or just one at a time at first, so your skin doesn’t get irritated. And most importantly – don’t forget sunscreen during the day! 🌞💫 Wishing you a great day ahead🌸

The whole series
I've been using the series for about a year now and have gone from a "problematic skin" to feeling like it's at its best 🥳1798 viewsto leave a comment - 2 months
Retinol
Hi! I don't quite understand the different strengths. What can you recommend that is a bit stronger than this?2297 views- Customer service at Lyko2 monthsHi! Thanks for asking 😊 CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum contains a milder retinoid (encapsulated retinol), which is well-suited for sensitive or acne-prone skin. If you want something a bit stronger, but still focused on skin texture and a more even skin tone, we can recommend: 🔹 The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane – a noticeably stronger step up in concentration, while also nourishing the skin with squalane oil: lyko.com/sv/the-ordinary/the-ordinary-retinol-0.5--in-squalane-30ml 🔹 La Roche-Posay Retinol B3 Serum – contains pure retinol and retinol booster (retinyl palmitate), but balanced with soothing ingredients like niacinamide and vitamin B3: lyko.com/sv/la-roche-posay/la-roche-posay-la-roche-posay-retinol-b3-serum-30-ml?fromsearch=La%2BRoche-Posay%2BRetinol%2BB3%2BSerum Both are good alternatives with more active content – just remember to gradually increase usage and always use SPF during the day 🌞 Feel free to let us know if you need help choosing based on skin type!4 likes
