Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair is an amazing serum. The results after use are so good that the word “expensive” almost loses its meaning. It’s truly worth the money. Love it but a bit pricey
I got to try the Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid + peptides water cream along with the serum. This is my first time trying Elizabeth Arden, and I must say I am very impressed. Someone who usually doesn't buy skincare in this price range makes this product have me considering doing it more often. The face cream smells lovely, and the packaging feels luxurious with a pump that makes it easy to get just the right amount, which will make the product last longer, which is a big plus. The cream also has a lovely consistency that easily melts into the skin. My face feels both smooth and hydrated. This is really a product I enjoy using, and I can feel a difference between this and my usual one. One of the few curling tools that has really worked on my "glass hair"! So many different curling irons I have tested over the years, and this is one of the few that really works on my thin, fine "glass hair". Of course, I have to prep my hair beforehand and spray properly afterward. (Links to the products I use!) To really test this, I curled my hair before a full day at work where I stand, walk, and pick items all day long. Judge my surprise when I still had curls left in the evening when I got home, especially after a little walk with a hat on! Degreasing?
This seriously smells like a slightly fancy product that reminds me of rim cleaner (degreasing) for car rims. I had to laugh a bit while I was standing in the shower. The foam comes out in a nice amount with a short press, doesn't foam well as the consistency is very thin. Foams better with a shower sponge. Distributes well, and the skin doesn't feel sticky. Doesn't dry out hands or body. After a couple of days of degreasing, it went on to a car enthusiast, and his first reaction was "oi, it smells like what I have on the mats in the car to remove salt and grease from winter!" (in other words, enough said.) I don't think it moisturizes more than "all other" soaps, you get clean, and that's it. Pretty and simple bottle with a cap, but it stops a bit there. OK price, but not particularly economical in use compared to products in the same series. I wish I liked this, as citrus scent often feels fresh and clean, but this was too much car in my opinion. An OK shower foam that smells typically of caramel, sweet and nauseating for me. I feel like we can let this caramel trend take a break. The foam comes out in a nice amount with a short press, but it doesn't lather well unless you use a shower sponge. Distributes nicely, and the skin doesn't feel sticky. Doesn't dry out hands or body. Not particularly economical in use, so this lasted about a week with daily use, in moderately distributed amounts. The product is also very runny. The scent disappears very quickly (for me; thankfully). Works as shaving foam too. The bottle is fine for its price, not particularly fancy, but a plus for the cap and that the logo isn't glued on, but sprayed on(?) Minus is that it should go as metal packaging, something not everyone has so easily available. Smells good
This rice water I know many get good effects from. I think it smells good; uplifting and fresh. I have quite thin and little hair (and absolutely no problems with tangles 😄), and I find the hair still feels light after spraying in the rice water. But I can't say I see or notice any big difference other than the smell, which I think disappears quite quickly (or maybe I just get used to it). Making good shower foam is very difficult, as the products will always be compared to Rituals products, which were the originals and took the market by storm ⛈️. I am a Rituals fan myself, but I believe I can still keep an open mind when testing new alternatives, which I gladly do as #lykoinflutester, thank you for that Lyko! This Crisp Bouquet is number two in the trio of shower foams that I have been tasked to review, I have already started with Caramel Crush. If I could wish for something, it would be that the branding could have been better and more distinct between these two, the bottles are quite similar in color. However, that’s where the similarities end. If Caramel Crush was, as the name suggests, a cola scent, then Crisp Bouquet smells, as its name suggests, very much like flowers 🌸. Unfortunately, I find that the scent is a bit sharp at first, it stings my nose 👃. Once the scent settles a bit, it’s okay, but nothing I would probably reach for. The product itself is good, the foam lathers wonderfully upon contact with water 💦 after first coming out as a gel. It’s lovely to wash with the foam, it feels so nice against the skin and you get clean. A must for me, as I have weak hands, is that it’s easy to get product/s out of their bottles/packaging/jars. It works well here. The price point is reasonable. A lovely two-part face mask. Cooling and pleasant to wear. The serum that the mask is soaked in contains papaya, coconut oil, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. Plus: luxurious feel, gold-colored mask (I like that!), cools, pleasant if you’re half lying down and still. It gives glow and hydrates. Minus: slippery and falls off easily, a bit tricky with all the plastic in the packaging and that it’s two-part. My first impression of this day cream was very positive. The jar itself feels incredibly exclusive. It is heavy, has a gold lid, and really looks "expensive" on the bathroom shelf. It gives a bit of a spa feeling just to use it. I have combination to oily skin, so I am always a bit skeptical of day creams that can become too heavy. Fortunately, I found that this one absorbs quite nicely into the skin. It feels rich when you first apply it, but after a few minutes, it settles nicely, and the skin feels soft and hydrated without becoming sticky. I also like that the skin gets a bit of a fresh glow without looking greasy. It works well under makeup, and I didn’t find that I became oilier throughout the day than usual. After using it for a while, I feel that my skin looks a bit more even and more hydrated.
