I am dependent on an eyelash curler and usually only buy waterproof mascara because it doesn't weigh down the lashes. I'll start by saying this: I'm really not a vanilla person when it comes to perfume. On the contrary, I usually find vanilla scents very difficult, as they can easily become too sweet, heavy, and almost a bit overwhelming for me. So I didn't exactly expect Vanilla Suede to be a scent I would fall for. But it surprised me. Vanilla is definitely present here, but it is accompanied by bergamot and sandalwood, which makes the scent feel softer and more balanced than the classic, very sweet vanilla scent I usually associate with this type of perfume. What I especially like is that it doesn't feel too strong. On me, I experience it as soft and pleasant, with a warm vanilla tone rather than a heavy vanilla bomb. There's simply more to the scent than just sweetness – and I think that's exactly why it works for me. I got it in the By Lyko Lovables – The LeyGlow Kit, and of all the scents, it's quite ironic that a vanilla perfume made me rethink 🤍 A vanilla scent for someone who actually doesn't like vanilla scent. That probably says it all. I’ve had the chance to get to know three tools from HEAT by Sophia Lie a bit better: Facial Gua Sha, Facial Cryo-Ball, and Ionic Body Brush 🧑🏻🩰🤍 The first thing that caught my attention was actually the whole package. The products are very nice, feel solid, and have a minimalist design that I like. But the interesting part is, of course, whether they are the kind of products you actually keep using once the novelty wears off. Facial Gua Sha A tool for facial massage. The shape makes it easy to work over areas like the jawline, cheeks, and neck. I like the feel of the tool itself and see it mainly as a little moment of massage and relaxation in my skincare routine. Facial Cryo-Ball This one I’m probably most curious about. It’s used cold for facial massage and is meant to give a cooling, refreshing sensation and temporarily help a puffy face feel less swollen. Feels instantly very nice for tired mornings. Ionic Body Brush A body brush for dry brushing. It feels sturdy and fits well in the hand. I like dry brushing as a ritual before showering, so it will be interesting to see how this one feels after regular use.
