These eye masks were much better than I expected! I was looking for some with caffeine that reduce stubborn eye puffiness and found these👀☕️ from essence. Thicker than many others, they still sat well on the skin and stayed on throughout breakfast! They reduced a good amount of the puffiness but weren’t very moisturizing🤥 for my dry skin, so a good eye cream is needed afterward for me. For the price, they were surprisingly good as I said😊 (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of how they looked – I’m a morning person😴). Gives a really nice color and I like that it is colorless and doesn’t transfer that much. I often use this when I want it to last throughout the day and still be able to go out without it showing that I just sprayed myself. Something I always need to have at home! This one for warm skin tones is just right for me and gives me a light golden brown tone depending on how thick a layer I apply. I like to test all face creams on my hands first because I find it easier to understand how they feel and what results they give. More highlighter than bronzer
Spreads beautifully and blends into the skin, but there isn’t much pigment. However, it’s easy to build up. The biggest surprise for me was the amount of glow. There’s actually a lot! And in my opinion, this is more of a highlighter than a bronzer. If you like a really glowing makeup look, you’ll definitely like this, but I would want a bit more color and less glow from a bronzer. Poor longevity
The shades in the palette are really beautiful and just right for my taste, but the eyeshadows crumble quite a bit and the staying power on the lids is poor. The eyeshadows were also quite difficult to work with and layer, and there is hardly any pigment in the darker shades. Also, in my palette two shades look exactly the same, so I wonder if there might be a defect in my palette or if the shades are just really close to each other 🧐? And then the packaging. It is beautiful, but it gets dirty very easily and will probably also get pressed/flattened in the makeup bag at some point. Girls, you have to forgive my skin, but this is how it is right now 😅 And also forgive that the eyeshadow isn’t as well blended as I’d like. I did my makeup in the morning with my finger and in poor lighting, so the conditions were... let’s say, far from perfect. 😂 But you know what? That just proves even more that this product is really good. As I mentioned – I did my makeup quickly in the morning. Anyone who’s ever overslept but still wanted to look somewhat “OK” knows what I mean. 😂 I didn’t use any (!) base under the eyeshadow. In a hurry, I applied it directly on the eyelid and blended it... with my finger! And look at that coverage! 😍 Nothing fell off, nothing peeled, nothing caked. And as you can see, my eyelid has some creases, so I was convinced the eyeshadow would start to gather in those spots after an hour. But nope. It’s 11:00 AM, it rained a bit on my face on the way, of course I didn’t bring an umbrella 🙈, and the eyeshadow looks practically the same as in the morning! I also didn’t use any setting spray. Just the product on bare skin. I have rather dry, leaning towards normal skin, so maybe that also matters here. At the moment, I’m really impressed. 🤎 I’ll update when I try the product with a base and brush application, but after the first use?
