I have curly hair that I usually round blow-dry after showering and then sleep with it tied up to keep the styling until the next wash. It is also layered to create more volume and make it easier for my curls when I finally let them down, which however can make it feel like the split ends are literally everywhere💆🏻♀️ Kevin Murphy makes many incredible hair products and these are no exception. Their detox shampoo is, in my opinion, the best on the market, something I always come back to after trying other variants. The first time I used it, I was genuinely shocked at how nice it looked after drying, when it felt so rough (and almost scary) in the shower! The Hydrate Me series was new to me though, and I mostly have positive feelings about them! My hair became very soft, split ends felt softer and fewer, without weighing it down much at all! But there is one downside I don’t know if I can get over: the scent. The sticks can be flipped for a more intense scent, which reduces the longevity somewhat. Comes in a nice cardboard packaging. At first, I had to struggle so much it felt like my nails were breaking trying to open the cap... almost impossible. Also, the protective seal under the screw cap split so that no product could come out. The worst part was that it didn’t cover the whole opening, so some product leaked out. So at first, I didn’t even feel like there was anything there, except that I have impaired vision without lenses or glasses. Yes, it was exhausting. Couldn't open the packaging
They need to change the packaging. At first, I could barely open the cap, I don't remember if it was on this one or the shampoo, but one of them was completely impossible. Also, when I removed the seal the first time, it split so some product was left. So little that in the shower without contacts I couldn't see it and didn't feel it right away since there was product over it. So I stood there, very embarrassingly in the shower, struggling to get anything out. Eventually, I got out of the shower and recorded a little video to show how hard it was for me. I'll post it for you too. So you can laugh a bit at my embarrassment. The product itself? The hair becomes very shiny and soft but my hair gets flat. It would work when I have longer hair but now with short hair I want volume, otherwise I just look silly. The product is also very expensive and not sufficiently economical for the price. So I wouldn't buy it again. But if you have long, nice hair I would use it and give it a higher rating (-for the packaging). New favorite!
Besides effective sun protection, my biggest priority for sunscreen is that it’s not sticky and doesn’t leave a thick layer behind. Previously, that was the reason I was careless with sun protection. Heliocare meets my requirements! It absorbs quickly into the skin, has a subtle but pleasant scent, and so far hasn’t stained any clothes. Was very positively surprised! The only downside is that it’s expensive, especially if there are several people in a family using it. I’m torn between giving it 4 or 5 stars because of that. Got this in the mail recently and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by how summery it smells🤩 It starts off very fruity and after it has settled a bit, you can tell it becomes sweeter. I think this mist is a bit stronger than other mists, so you don't need to use more than one or two sprays to smell good. Less is more! (I applied a bit more the first time and it was way too much😂) Reminds me a lot of the newest summer perfume from Escada, but this one lasts better and longer! Brutally honest review
I tried Xlash Calming Eye Gels after looking like a substitute who sat on the bench through an entire football World Cup without getting a minute of sleep. The difference compared to Awakening Eye Gels is noticeable immediately. These don’t scream "UP AND AT 'EM!" Instead, they lean forward, put a hand on your shoulder, and say: "Hey, let’s take it easy instead. Breathe, we’ll sort this out." The ingredient list includes aloe vera, centella asiatica, and hyaluronic acid. In short, it feels like a Buddhist monk, a skincare therapist, and a glass of ice-cold water have started a retreat for my eyes. The cooling sensation is absolutely fantastic. I stored them in the fridge as I usually do with my eye gels, and when I put them on, it felt like someone pressed a giant "mute" button for the whole face. The brain was still stressed about everything I should do, but the skin had already gone on vacation. It felt like the area under my eyes had received the same treatment as a World Cup player after 90 minutes: ice bath, recovery, and a five-star rehab before the next match. And they stick just as well as the Awakening Eye Gels. You can walk around the house, tidy up, make coffee, and ponder life’s big questions without them sliding around like two wet slices of cheese. After use: 15 minutes later, the area under my eyes looked like it had been to a spa while the rest of my face was still waiting in line at reception. The swelling? Gone. The skin? Like it finally got a vacation after a whole season without a substitute. So now when I look in the mirror, I at least look like a person who has control over their life. No unnecessary fillers or one-time-use miniatures. I know I’ll use everything, which makes me very happy. However, I do see a small downside.
