"Rose envy"🌹 is a classic muted neutral red-pink shade that suits many👄👍 I think it’s perfect in summer as an alternative to lip gloss or lipstick💄 Faint, slightly sweet mint scent/flavor. ➕️The applicator is a large, curved, soft foam applicator that kind of springs up from the square bottle with some built-in spring😄 ➕️The bottle is tight and NOT leaky (someone said it was) = good to take with you. ➕️No glitter or shimmer. Feels soft and nice. NOT oily! ➕️No tingling on the lips and they don’t feel tight. After a whole day, the lips might look a little plumped but that’s not an effect I want, so it’s not something I want more of😁 ➖️The oil feels softening but is slightly drying on me, so I can only use it max 2 days in a row. ➖️1 layer is almost invisible. 2 layers give a bit of color on my naturally quite pigmented lips. A favorite for me and my boyfriend🥰
I was so lucky to get to test this fragrance as #lykotestpilot. So I chose to let my boyfriend try it. When we opened the package, the first thing I noticed was a feeling of masculinity. The bottle looks so cool and stands out from regular perfume bottles. At the first spray, the scent feels strong and deep, with a hint of citrus. The deep character gave us the impression of a more exclusive perfume. We were both really positively surprised at how pleasant the scent became after it had also been on the skin for a while. It developed in a woody and leathery direction, which also makes it a good choice for late summer and as we head into autumn. I would say it’s quite an "allrounder" perfume that works well both for everyday use and evenings🥰 My boyfriend has tested quite a few men's perfumes over the years, but this is one of his favorites, at least in the somewhat "more affordable" price range. This scent exceeded the expectations of both me and him. It also lasted quite a while. Luxurious, but not a 100% match…
I already had an absolute favorite when it comes to summer perfumes. It’s called Monoi and is from a French company that has been doing mail order sales for a long time. Long before the internet existed. 😅 We can call the company Y.R., because maybe we shouldn’t name-drop other companies on Lyko’s platform? 🙈😅 Anyway, I loved that perfume. But I didn’t think it had long-lasting power on the skin. It was also an edt, so that’s not so surprising. I googled and had a conversation with Google’s AI. And it was the tiare flower that made it smell so fantastic. And I found, among other things, this one from DKNY, which could be an alternative. ☺️ I can say there was a big discount when I bought it about 4 weeks ago. I think I paid 1178 SEK for it, and then it wasn’t a hard decision whether to buy it or not. RRP 1800 SEK for 100 ml isn’t completely extreme for a high-end perfume. But the sum of money is much bigger than 1178 SEK, so I thought it over once, twice, and three times. And of course, much better to buy with a discount if there is one. ☺️ So, the packaging! HOW luxurious? And the bottle! Luxury, luxury, luxury! The bottle is incredibly beautiful! 🤩 Properly heavy (considering how thick the bottom is), and it "fits well" in the hand. The cap is magnetic. Which I have never experienced before. So to the scent. ☺️ Yes, it’s a nice and luxurious scent. You can tell it’s an EDP. The longevity on the skin is much longer. I don’t really think it’s a bad scent, but there’s something about it that makes me think it’s heavy. I googled (of course 😅). And Google said: the reason for this is that it has a base of cashmere wood, amber, and vetiver. Which gives a warm, deep, almost spicy feeling. Which is different from monoi, which is pure, sunny, and airy. Anyway. It’s not a bad scent. It was just a little too heavy for me, who prefers lighter scents. I have to give a shoutout to this perfume: I, who usually hate everything with lavender and have a really hard time with vanilla, absolutely love this! The lavender is so nicely blended that it doesn’t come off as sharp as I usually experience it. And the vanilla isn’t that sickly sweet that makes me want to puke, it’s deeper and more... gourmand? The composition as a whole is a bullseye, and it quickly became my absolute favorite. It does require a little touch-up after half a day to last all the way, but it’s definitely worth it. Finally, the bottle is fantastically beautiful, so it absolutely doesn’t matter that it’s out on display and gets to shine.
