Nice color but tricky packaging
The first thing I noticed is that the packaging feels a bit too "plastic" and cheap. The biggest downside, however, is that you can't screw the product back down once you've opened it. This makes it incredibly difficult to control the amount, so you have to be very careful not to twist up too much at once. The name "Melt Down" definitely fits – the consistency is a kind of mix between solid and liquid that melts as soon as it hits the lips. I think it's a bit too "melting," which means way too much product can come out at once. Regarding the effect: • Plumping: It gives a slight effect, but don't expect any big miracles. • Cooling: It has a cooling sensation that I'm still a bit unsure if I like or not. Despite the hassle with application, the result actually turns out quite nice! Eyeshadow
As an influencer for Lyko, I have now had the chance to test the Eye-Con Eyeshadow Palette in the color Mauve on up 👁️ The palette is small, handy, and cute! All the colors are beautiful, and since I love purple eyeshadow (because I think it suits my green eyes well), I was naturally drawn to those colors in the palette! 🎨 There are two matte shadows and two glittery shadows. A product I immediately thought would be great to have both when traveling and in my bag! But nope, after photographing the product and about to open it to test and look, the two glittery shadows fell straight onto my bathroom mat. Guess how surprised I was 😂😱 I tried to pick up as much product as possible to test, but now it looks like my kids borrowed the palette, you could say.. 🫠 I hope I got a Monday product because otherwise, I’m really disappointed, it shouldn’t be like that! Really unfortunate. 😴 The pigments in the eyeshadow are acceptable but nothing more, quite weak, at least the matte shadows. I thought the glittery ones were very pretty and sparkled nicely, but those were also the two that fell out. All in all, a pretty okay eyeshadow palette that I had high hopes for before! Nice to look at, but disappointing on the eye 🍯
I had high hopes for this little item, especially considering the beautiful shades, but unfortunately it didn’t quite meet my expectations. At first glance, the colors look absolutely fantastic, but when applied to the skin, you quickly notice that the pigmentation is quite weak. You have to work quite a bit just to get the color to show properly. I often use exactly this type of shades, but these shadows simply didn’t sit nicely on the eyelid. The brown color felt a bit "off" in tone, and I found them difficult to blend out. The whole experience gave me a little nostalgic flashback to when I sneaked to borrow makeup from my mom’s makeup bag 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the quality feels a bit outdated. A small plus: The price – It’s very affordable, so it’s not the biggest financial loss. A very good addition to the lip products
What struck me immediately was how incredibly smooth it is to apply. The "crayon" shape makes it super easy to get straight lines, even when you're on the go. I didn’t even need a proper mirror to get a good result – it just glides right on! The texture is exactly as the name suggests: wonderfully creamy without feeling sticky or tacky on the lips. It also doesn’t dry out the lips, which is a big plus for me. The color pigments are really nice and give an even, opaque result right away. Creamy Lipstick 💄
As an influencer for Lyko, I have had the chance to test the Creamy Dreamy Lip Crayon in the color Berry Jam for a few weeks now! 👄 Here you have a product that gives color, moisture, and a creamy result instantly! My first impression of the product was that the packaging is simple but cute! I think it could be a bit lighter and slimmer, the cap makes it look a bit cheap. Nourishing Lip Serum
As an influencer for Lyko, I got to test the Melt Down Lip Balm in the shade Pinky Promise 👄 It is a nourishing and moisturizing lip serum in balm form, enriched with avocado oil, argan oil, and shea butter! It is also supposed to give a plumping effect to the lips. The product is very easy to apply, gives a cooling effect, and a lot of gloss and glow. It’s nice for both everyday use and parties. 💃 My first impression was that it was a simple, light, and easy-to-use product with nice packaging, and I have continued to like the product. It’s neither great nor bad, somewhere in between, a bit like low-fat milk in my opinion. I don’t see any plumping effect at all, but I do feel the cooling effect. The product is also quite economical, so you don’t need much product, as it easily becomes too much and sticky otherwise. Not quite top-notch
I had very high expectations for this product because wow - look at those beautiful colors 😍 The joy was short-lived, because on first use the entire one color fell out of the palette and into the sink. Fun 🤠 The colors look super nice but are very lightly pigmented. I tried for a long time to make a liner with the darkest one, but as you can see in the picture, it didn’t get very dark. Luckily, I’m not a big fan of heavy eyeshadow, so the others worked perfectly to just get a little shimmer on the eyes. The texture feels like a mix between powder and cream, so that’s probably why the pigment is a bit weak. Probably also why it didn’t break in the sink - but just like a sponge? 🧽 The quality is therefore not much to brag about - but right for a good price! The eyeshadows in this palette are so lovely and I love the shades! The eyeshadows are pigmented and easy to apply. I love the size of this palette and it’s a perfect everyday palette that you can travel with! I love the look I was able to do with using just this palette. Decent product – but the packaging..
I’ve tested this product and have mixed feelings. It really is butter melt! I thought the product was a bit firmer, so at first application I applied too much pressure on my lips, and it just got messy and way too much product 🤠 So apply carefully! It’s a bit like a lip gloss in a lipstick packaging. The product feels soft on the lips and gives a slight tingling sensation. It’s quite pigmented and gives a nice color 💕 However, it doesn’t last very long, and after a while the lips are completely dry again. That’s a bit of a downside. Furthermore, the packaging is what bothers me the most. I can twist the stick up, but not back down. And since I twisted it up quite a bit the first time, I had a problem when trying to put the cap back on and couldn’t twist the product down again… But I guess that’s what you get for the price. The whole packaging feels cheap. Quality over quantity here! It was more mess and chaos than me appreciating the product itself. 💃 Fun that Lyko has released their own eyeshadows that even fit the thinnest wallet! And super fun to get to test and evaluate! 😌 Here are my thoughts on the palette: 👍 I really like the size of this and that there are 4 different colors. I chose the one in the color Mauve on up, mostly because it had two matte and two glittery shades. The others, I thought, had three glittery and one matte, and I don't use glittery shadows that often. (Boring - I know 🫣) 🤔 The pigmentation is modest, which I don't have a problem with. I'd rather be able to build up and have control than the other way around. 🤗 It's relatively easy to build up in a soft way and there isn't much "fall out" – the glittery ones have a bit more "fall out" than the matte shadows. ☺️ The glittery ones are more on the creamy side while the mattes were more powdery. 😏 The wear time isn't the best, but totally okay with primer underneath. 😀 I think this format of eyeshadow is really good for everyday use and perfect to bring on trips. Good for its small price 🙏
🙏I got to try this Lip Crayon from by Lyko and here are my thoughts about it: 😌To start with, I want to say that this color was a bit too light for my lips, but that's totally my own fault. In hindsight, I should have bought the one called Love Burnt, I think it would have matched my lips better. I solve this with a darker lip liner, then this, and gloss on top. 🔥What I really like about this is that it's super easy to first draw the contours and then fill in the rest. It is soft and creamy to apply and covers really well. 🩷I also like that you twist it up and don't have to sharpen it, big plus! 🫤What brings down the stars is the matte finish. Nice shine, but....
🙏In my latest assignment, I received 3 products from Lyko's own brand, and here are my thoughts on this lip balm. 👎I think we should start with what I like least: The appearance – the packaging is not at all to my taste and looks more like a free merch product, one you get at festivals or other fun events. The tube feels incredibly plastic and cheap. Also, the fact that you can't screw the product back on once you've opened it makes it feel even cheaper. 🤷But the formula itself? Well, at first application, I was a bit shocked at how soft the balm was – like room temperature butter. I accidentally pressed too hard the first time, so be careful when applying!! Here, I'm not entirely convinced that I like the formula/consistency. 👍Result and feel: Okay, here I have nothing to complain about. The shine is incredible, and the color I chose is super nice, muted but with plenty of shine. Nice on its own but also over lip liner. The color and shine hold up quite well too, and since it's so rich and you only need to dab it on, you can happily reapply. 👄The plumping effect isn't the best, but you can still see some difference. The tingling is just right and not unpleasant like some plumping products can be. 🤌Whether it cares for my lips, I can't say as I've used it too briefly to judge, but I haven't noticed it drying out my lips like some cheaper products tend to do to me. ⭐If I could give it 2.5 stars, I would, but since it doesn't reach a 3, it gets 2 stars from me. I have tested this lip crayon, and I think I’ve found a new favorite in my lip collection! I love a good liner that’s easy to use and gives a nice color to the overall face, and this one hits the mark! It applies seamlessly, is easy to work with, and has beautiful pigment. I think I’ll try more colors of this one 🍒⭐️ Very good price, and it lasts a long time! What brings it down a bit is that it doesn’t last very long. I really liked this one. The texture is creamy and pleasant, which makes it very easy to apply evenly. The color is beautiful and gives good pigment without feeling heavy on the lips🧑🏻🩰 What I especially like is how practical it is to use. I also have mixed feelings about this one. I like the shine it gives, and it doesn’t sting much, which is a plus. At the same time, I don’t quite experience the plumping effect it promises. The color is quite neutral and doesn’t give much on its own, but with a good base, for example the Creamy Dreamy lip crayon, it becomes a very nice look on the lips 👄 Regarding the packaging, I’m less enthusiastic. I don’t really like the design and think it looks a bit like a children’s toy. Also, the consistency is quite liquid and sticky, which doesn’t suit this type of packaging very well. I have mixed feelings about this one. The texture feels like a mix between powder and cream, and I find that I have to use quite a bit of product to get any noticeable color. I actually like a light shimmer on the eyelids, but sometimes I want a more defined eyeshadow, and I just can’t quite get that with this.. I’ve tried applying with my fingers, which I think works best. With a brush, I have to really work the brush into the product to pick up enough pigment, and that quickly becomes a bit inconvenient🥵 That said, I do think the colors are very pretty. The mattes don’t show up much, but the shimmer shades are truly beautiful ✨ A big plus is that the palette is small and practical, so it’s easy to carry in your makeup bag 🥰 Attaching a photo taken with flash and in direct sunlight. A miss and not even a lift..
I had the honor of trying Lyko's own products, lip products and now also the eyeshadow palette. As you can see in the video, the finger picks up quite a bit of product and gives a nice shade on the hand. Unfortunately, the last eyeshadow didn't make it into the video, it got too long 🌸 I don't think it worked for me when I used a brush to apply it on my eyelid. I only wore concealer on the eyelid and hadn't set it with any powder to help the eyeshadow show up. I haven't tried using my finger or a flat brush to see if that helps. Unfortunately, this palette doesn't get a good rating from me.. The package arrived as promised yesterday but to a box in a store that unfortunately closes so early that I didn’t make it there when we got home from Arlanda. So today I went with my son to pick up what I bought. He was very curious but not so impressed. Maybe no wow in the box but many good things that are needed. Some of them maybe less or more now considering my new short haircut, there will probably be fewer hairstyles going forward. The length barely suffices for a ponytail. But it grows quickly. I mixed a little color treatment cocktail the other day with quite a bit of conditioner to get a less intense color. Besides that, I used two parts Deep copper, one part of the pink, and a little dab of the brown.
