Bonus: can be hand washed or machine washed at 30° in a laundry bag 🧺 By Lyko - High On Life - Mascara My own lashes are unfortunately very damaged after lash extensions, so I had to borrow my mom's nice lashes to properly test the mascara😊 This is a really good budget mascara with a brush that allows you to create different looks depending on how you angle it – for example, press the brush straight up for more length, or angle it a bit to the side for more separation🌹 It holds nicely all day, but can start to flake towards the evening or if you sweat a lot. Otherwise, it is economical, easy to apply, and works great as an everyday mascara! By Lyko - Wing Woman - Liquid Eyeliner This liner is really easy to work with! 😍 It doesn’t run, follows the shape of the eye perfectly, and makes it super easy to achieve a sharp and even wing. The brush is fantastic!🙏🏻 However, I found that it didn’t last 12 hours if you sweat, or if you accidentally touch your eye.. For me, it smudged throughout the day, so it is unfortunately not as waterproof as I had hoped 🥺 despite the packaging and applicator being top-notch! No blowout effect
I have long, thick, and curly hair, which often makes it challenging to get hot brushes to work optimally. Even though I have tested several similar products before, I have not experienced that they provide the effect I hope for, and this hot brush was unfortunately no exception. The brush has three different heat settings that allow you to adjust the temperature as needed. You can then switch between warm air for quick drying and cool air to set the hairstyle and maintain the shape. The result is smooth and soft hair that feels cared for, but the effect is much more subtle than the typical “blowout” look. The hair gets a natural, straight fall, without volume and a full result that one might expect. The brush has an elegant and sleek design, and the color is both modern and appealing. It comes in a nice box that gives an exclusive first impression. At the same time, I find that the brush head is quite large, which can make it difficult to use the brush on smaller areas and generally get a proper blowout throughout the hair. The cord has a practical length, which makes it easy to use the brush without it getting in the way or feeling restrictive. Given the size of the hot brush itself, I would say it is a bit impractical to carry around or take on trips. Another aspect is the noise from the brush. It makes a noticeable sound during use, which can become tiring if used for an extended period. The first few times I used it, I also noticed a burnt smell, but I think that goes away after a bit of use. All in all, the hot brush works well for drying hair and gives a nice, smooth, and cared-for result. It is a good alternative if the primary goal is to blow-dry hair effectively, but if you want a true volumized blowout, it will likely not meet expectations. Not for my hair
My hair: fine, thin, straight, damaged I should say that I've never gotten curls or significant volume from such blow-dry hair brushes, but there wasn't even a hint of volume here. I'm not sure what it is that causes it, but one of the reasons is probably that the brush is way too large in diameter. It definitely gets very hot, there's smoke coming from the freshly washed hair. It also makes a lot of noise, so it gets quite tiring in the long run. Did not meet expectations
I have been testing the Lyko Big Blowout heated brush for about a month now. At first glance, the heated brush looks stylish and feels high quality, but the user experience did not match the first impression. The device is loud, and there was a strange smell after the first startup; I was already worried that something might catch fire. My long, bleached hair is particularly a challenge for styling tools in winter, and unfortunately, this heated brush could not tackle that challenge. I have been using the Dyson Airwrap for several years, so my comparison clearly falls into a completely different price range, which does not create a fair setting for this product. Doesn't style the hair
I have never tried a hot air brush before, so I didn't really know what to expect. At first glance, the brush has a nice design and looks just like you would expect. However, when I started it, I realized that it is incredibly loud, which disappointed me a bit, but it is very easy to work with. I have quite thick and frizzy hair that doesn't get any volume no matter what I do. This brush couldn't give me volume either, but my hair becomes significantly less frizzy compared to after using a hair dryer. However, I don't think it works for styling hair, but it could also be that I haven't managed to use it correctly. I absolutely think this is a good alternative for drying hair, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to style my hair with it. Didn’t quite fit my thick hair
I was lucky enough to try this blowout heat brush as a Lykoinflutester. I’ve never used a heat brush like this before - but have always wanted to try. A bit about my hair: I have quite thick hair but thin hair strands which means it takes a long time to blow dry my hair. It’s also a bit damaged from a lot of bleaching. I didn’t quite understand how to use this heat brush - I found it heavy and difficult to hold without burning myself. I tried to blow dry/brush my hair upwards as the instructions said, but I didn’t get it to work well. Maybe my hair was too wet when I tried. I sectioned my hair into small parts to get the best possible blow dry, but I found it difficult (maybe you have to practice getting it right several times, but I have little patience when it comes to blow drying my hair) I felt like I spent too long blow drying each section. I also felt the cord of the brush was in the way when I was using it. Not quite for me, but I can understand those who like to spend a lot of time fixing their hair for different occasions - but unfortunately, it’s not for me. I also thought it was much louder than a regular blow dryer would be. Great value for money!
“Silky smooth and shiny hair”, “control over frizz” are words in any product description that definitely catch my attention! So I was really excited to test this! Since my hair is long and previously bleached, it definitely needs a little extra love during styling. I have almost completely stayed away from heat tools lately to spare my hair as much as possible, this has three temperature modes and with that, I have only used it on the lowest. It gave a good result, so for my hair, it wasn't necessary to use maximum heat 🙌🏼 I had also never tried a Blow Out brush, so whether this turned out well or not is pure guessing for me 🙈 I read up well before I started and just experimented. That’s what’s so fun about testing new products, especially things you would never have picked out yourself - that you get to play with it and try things out! I have no strong desire for a lot of volume, because my hair is so long that it rarely holds anyway. I don’t know what I envisioned when I started testing, I experimented with large and small sections - ended up with a result I really liked! 😍 After countless attempts, the look in the picture is definitely my favorite, it turned out like curls/natural fall. Here I took my time and worked with small sections at a time. Twisted and twisted. I used this on relatively dry hair, 80-90% dry as the description says. A big advantage of this is also that it is super cute! Both the packaging and the brush itself! The color is absolutely stunning. It’s easy to hold and easy to work with. Now I have nothing to compare it with from similar products - but I really liked this! Like the spray nozzle
I have now tested Waterclouds heat protection, and here are my thoughts! First impression - Good scent - Does its job as heat protection - The spray nozzle is too hard - Too thick formula My thoughts: What I really like is the scent, it feels fresh and summery, with clear notes of watermelon. The packaging is also convenient in size and easy to take with you. But… Already at the first use, I noticed that the spray comes out with a very hard stream, rather than as a fine mist. This means that the spray concentrates on a single area, even when I hold the bottle far from my hair. If I spray close to the scalp, it can even make the area feel a bit greasy after styling. What doesn’t work for me: The biggest downside is the spray nozzle itself. The stream is too hard and uneven, making it difficult to achieve an even distribution over the hair. I would have preferred a mist that lays nicely over the lengths. Even though the bottle describes the formula as “lightweight,” I find it to be somewhat thick and a bit too heavy for my Scandinavian hair, especially if I happen to get too much product in one spot. Summary: The scent is fantastic and gives lovely summer feelings. But unfortunately, the spray nozzle detracts from the overall experience, as the stream becomes too concentrated and doesn’t spread evenly. This was the first time I tested a blowout brush, so it felt both exciting and fun to see what it could do. Here are my thoughts! First impression - Nice color - Cord of appropriate length - Does not give a "big" blowout effect - Okay noise level My thoughts: As a beginner with blowout brushes, I think it worked well and was easy to use. The noise level was about what I expected, very similar to a regular hair dryer. I also appreciate that it has three different heat settings, which makes it possible to alternate warm air with cool air to set the shape. The brush is a bit bulky if you plan to take it on trips, but the color is really nice and the cord has the perfect length. Not too long, not too short, just right to be easy to work with. What didn’t work for me: What I missed was that real volume and shape at the ends. Even though I tried different techniques after each shower, I didn’t achieve the "salon blowout" feeling I had hoped for. However, the brush makes the hair very soft and manageable, and it is effective when you want to dry and style the hair at the same time. In summary, it’s a good styling product if you want to dry your hair in a smooth way and get a soft, sleek result. Good for its price range!
I have tested many hot air brushes in a similar price range, but the Big Blowout Heat Brush from By Lyko actually stands out positively. The oval shape makes a big difference, I feel like I can reach the hair in a completely different way, which gives a more controlled styling. ✨ BUT it promises "lots of volume", I am a person whose hair has ZERO volume, nadaaa, no matter what I do🙄 unfortunately I have to report that this doesn't make any difference for me regarding volume. Another big advantage is that it doesn't overheat, something that has been a recurring problem with several other brushes I've tried.✨ For its price range, it is really good. It feels stable, gives a nice result, and is pleasant to use. What personally brings down the rating for me is that I have extremely fine, many, and thin hair strands, and with my hair type, the roots never get completely dry if I only use this brush. I need to supplement with something else to get the hair completely dry and ready for styling🥰 If I have to choose a blow-dry styling tool, I still prefer the "Dyson" variants with the barrels that suck up the hair, they are more convenient, faster, and significantly gentler on the arms during use. But in terms of price and function, the Big Blowout Heat Brush is still a really good choice and definitely better than several others I've tested. The first impression is that the toiletry bag feels robust yet light. The outer fabric, which is a nice pink shade in teddy material, is so pretty. The material is not too stiff, but also not so soft that it loses its shape. It provides just the right balance, which makes it stand stable when opened and not collapse while searching for things. Spacious enough for all makeup. Maybe not spacious enough to fit all skincare if you’re traveling. The inside is easy to wipe clean. It’s incredibly cute. By lyko high on life mascara feels clean in its design. Not overly fancy packaging but still stylish. The tube itself is ergonomically shaped so it fits comfortably in the hand while applying. The brush is just the right thinness and made of rubber, which allows you to really reach all the way to the lash roots and into the small corners. The brush is also really good for lengthening lashes as it separates each lash nicely. The formula is light, not too creamy and not “dry” when pulling the brush directly out of the tube, which allows for building layers without clumping right away. It has a pigmented, deep black color that makes the lashes really defined. You can build multiple layers without the lashes sticking together. The lashes appear longer, which is a big plus. The wear is very good, it lasts a whole workday without flaking or smudging under the eyes. The end result is a very good mascara that provides nice length and very good wear! This eyeliner has a very good precision brush that can create both thin and thick lines, making it a thousand times easier to draw a nice eyeliner on the eyelid! It is also very pigmented and has a nice black color. This eyeliner is also very easy to wash off! The only thing I didn’t like about this eyeliner is that it was liiiittle hard to apply and get defined lines with. It tended to settle a bit in the fine lines on the eyelid, which made it difficult to achieve a perfectly defined wing. Throughout the day, the eyeliner faded a bit in the crease of my eyelid, as I have hooded eyelids. Additionally, the mascara holds well throughout the day without flaking, and you don’t get dark under your eyes either. It is also very easy to wash off, which is a big plus! The only thing I miss with this mascara is that it doesn’t provide much length. This is because I have extremely stubborn lashes and can ONLY use a few waterproof mascaras on the market. We’re talking about me having tried probably 50 mascaras, and there are maybe 5 that work for me... so I actually think for most this is a really good mascara. On par with Isadora classics (gentle for the eyes, separates nicely, doesn’t flake quickly, and holds the color throughout the day) I also love the pink color and design. 🎁As a gift/christmas present, I really think most makeup enthusiasts would be happy. Just the toiletry bag I think is worth its price🥰🎀🤌 but also the effect from the eyeliner. I would have appreciated if it contained a primer for the eyelid and maybe a small quad with eyeshadow, to be able to create a complete eye makeup look. My new favorites!
I got to try this wonderful kit from By Lyko, which includes the Wing woman liquid eyeliner and High on life mascara. Here are my thoughts on the products: I always have trouble finding a mascara that makes my lashes look longer and holds them up. But wow, this mascara is actually the best I’ve ever tried. It really makes my lashes look longer with just one coat, but you can also layer it on if you want thicker and even longer lashes. It holds the lashes up without them falling down later. It has a plastic brush that separates the lashes well. It doesn’t flake or smudge off during the day, unless you cry or go out in the rain, of course. This is 100% my absolute favorite mascara, I would never want to be without it again. I’m not so used to doing eyeliner completely freehand without any tape or stencil. I can never get it right, and I always find it so hard with whatever eyeliner I try. I was really shocked that when I tried this eyeliner for the first time, it was so incredibly easy to apply, so black in color, that it came out so clean and sharp, and that it actually took 3 minutes, if even that, to create a winged sharp eyeliner that I was actually satisfied with. I was afraid it was just beginner’s luck and that the rest of the times would go downhill. But every other time was the same. So satisfied every time. The easiest eyeliner I’ve ever used. It’s like a marker at the tip and is so easy to create thin and also thick lines if you want. I usually don’t like these types of eyeliners, but I’m completely in love with this one. The only little negative thing is that it can get a bit dry on the next eye, but you can just put the cap on and shake it a bit, and it will be good again. This kit gets a full score from me. If you’re looking for a really good eyeliner and mascara, these are the best you can find in my opinion. I’m so incredibly satisfied with these products! #bylyko #lykoinflutester

I have now tried this lovely fine kit! With mascara and eyeliner. The mascara: Stylish and sleek design on it which I like. It was easy to twist off and just the right amount of mascara came up on the brush! I really liked this mascara. It gave everything I look for in a mascara. Length and fullness. Very easy brush to work with, made of silicone and just the right size. You could easily reach all the lashes without mess around the eye. Eyeliner: Simple and easy! Pretty! But not for me…
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this kit with a cute pink makeup bag, black mascara, and eyeliner. The makeup bag is very spacious and large. Therefore, I was a bit disappointed that it "only" contains a mascara and an eyeliner pencil. Even the name promises more than that. 🖤The mascara separates the lashes well, and the brush is slightly upward curved. For my part, I usually use tubing mascara since I tend to get 🐼 eyes in the afternoon otherwise. I don’t think that happened with this one, but it did start to flake. I also feel that the dramatic effect is missing. After two coats, the lashes are still just everyday pretty and nothing more. 🖤The eyeliner is like a black marker and is easy to apply and lasts all day. It’s been a while since I used eyeliner, and now I understand why 😬. My hooded eyes don’t work to their advantage. I can recommend this kit to a young person who looks good in dramatic black eyeliner and loves the pink teddy makeup bag. The mascara wasn’t my favorite, but it might flake less on others than on me. #bylyko

I got this #bylyko Hollywood Led Mirror to test as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. I haven't had a makeup table and lights at home for a long time, and I had forgotten how wonderful it is to get ready with proper lighting around the face. The mirror is the perfect size, not too small and not too large. Even if you don't have a proper makeup table in use, the product is big enough to fit anywhere, and it's easy to store, for example, in a cabinet if you don't want the mirror to be on display all the time. The mirror is not too heavy, so it's easy to move from place to place, but sturdy enough to stand up well. The mirror has three different settings for lights, so you can always find the right lighting for your getting ready moment! Big plus for the fact that the mirror's lighting technology is not complicated, and that you can easily adjust the mirror in the stand to the angle that suits you. The mirror could have a longer cord itself, but the problem is easy to fix with an extension cord.
