Was so lucky to test this as a Lyko Influtester, and now I can say I’m super satisfied. It’s in beautiful baby pink, fave color🩷 Easy to handle, takes up little space so it’s perfect to take on trips. It really smooths out the hair, I have so much frizz and it took it all away in such a short time. (Now I can finally throw away my old one😂) The only downside is that I found it hard to curl with it, as it was so hot to hold at the tip. So I will only use it as a straightener. I've had the chance to test this heat protection spray from Lyko's own brand for a few weeks now. I have to say I'm very positively surprised! I've never found a heat protectant that both smells good and works well, but this one is absolutely excellent and long-lasting in use! The spray has a very clean scent that I loooove! Smells absolutely amaaazing!! It dispenses just the right amount, so I would say it's long-lasting because it sprays quite well over the hair when you use it! And not least, the hair becomes incredibly shiny when you straighten or curl it after spraying this😍 Highly recommended! I've now been lucky enough to try Kyko's own straightener for a few weeks! I have to say I'm positively surprised! It has good heat in the iron and works perfectly both for straightening and curling hair! It's easy to hold, which makes it "effortless" to straighten/curl hair all at once! The only downside is that I have quite thick hair and had to section my hair into thin parts at a time, so I prefer a bigger straightener. But totally perfect for their use and not least a very good price! Got to test this spray for my hair and I think it works quite well on my hair. I have long, straight, and colored hair, which often also gets a bit dry, so this product suited me quite well. Got to test this straightener, came in a very cute color and in a nice box! The quality seems to be there, solid straightener to use for a pretty reasonable price. I have straight hair so I used it to curl my hair and for me it was a bit difficult, especially since I usually have it at around 180 degrees and the result was not optimal for me. Perfect for dry and frizzy hair
I tested this together with Lyko’s new straightener🤌, and in theory, it should be everything I needed, but unfortunately, the result wasn’t like that..... I have quite coarse/thick hair, and it’s sometimes a bit frizzy and could use some extra moisture in the ends on these days, but actually, there was no difference at all.... and I quickly got the feeling I had to wash my hair more often than usual, so it probably just sat more on top of my hair..... but a lovely fruity scent😍, luckily not the floral scent they’ve had on other products 😝. It gave a very nice shine/gloss.... it’s milky in consistency, easy to distribute in the hair, but I can "feel" it in my hair, so it probably won’t replace the one I had before..... But that said, my daughter liked it👌, and she has thinner strands but also a lot of hair. Very good scent, but doesn't quite reach other products on the market
The first thing I want to highlight is the product's scent, it is really good! Fresh, summery, and light, without being too sweet 🍭 Unfortunately, the packaging gives a somewhat cheap impression. The bottle feels plasticky, and the pump is, in my opinion, the product's biggest weakness. It is hard to press down and sprays the product out in a concentrated stream, which makes it difficult to distribute evenly in the hair. And almost impossible to get it even if you spray it directly into the hair 💦 My solution has been to spray the product into my hands first and then distribute it in the hair. I have tested it both on dry and wet hair, and clearly experience the best results on wet hair. On dry hair, the hair can become a bit sticky if I use too much product, while this has not been a problem on wet hair as long as I use my hands to distribute it in. Conclusion: The scent is definitely the product's strongest side ✨🍋, but when the packaging feels cheap and the spray function works so poorly, it becomes difficult to highlight the product over many of the other good heat protection products on the market. Very good straightener
Unfortunately, I have been away so haven’t had much chance to test it, but in my opinion, there isn’t sooo much to test with a straightener 🤷♀️ I have quite straight hair myself so not much to show in pictures, and I don’t usually do curls and such, so I can’t say much about that..... but I have quite coarse/thick hair so my straightener has to be able to straighten hair without too high heat.... my max is 180 degrees☝️ and compared to my other straighteners this one is just as good🤌 only that it has a much nicer price🤩✌️ Nice light pink metallic color..... not my favorite color...... so this one will be inherited by my daughter☺️ love that it has a long cord that rotates 360, easy to handle and easy to understand. A good flat iron at a lower price?
My first impression is that the flat iron is in a super nice color that I love 🍬 It is also light, which I think is practical if you want to bring it on a trip. My hair consists of a mix of coarse and fine strands with some natural waves, and it is usually not difficult to straighten 🩷 But at 170–180 degrees, which I prefer to use to protect my hair as much as possible, it unfortunately didn’t work very well. I had to go over the same sections several times to get the hair somewhat straight. At 210–220 degrees, however, it performs very well, and the result was flawless! It still detracts a lot that it needs such high heat to give good results 🔥 Other flat irons I’ve used handle my hair fine at around 180 degrees. Something else worth noting is that after just a few uses, I noticed the pink coating on the plates starting to flake a bit, which gives a somewhat cheaper quality impression. ➕ Light and comfortable to use ➕ Gives a smooth and good result ➕ Nice price ➖ Needs high heat to get results ➖ No travel case/storage bag included – not a minus for me, but maybe something to consider. Conclusion: A light and user-friendly flat iron that delivers good results, but only when the temperature is turned quite high. Simple and budget-friendly
The product is supposed to work both as heat protection and a conditioning spray, and is said to combat frizz, add shine, and volume. Regarding volume, unfortunately, I didn’t notice much difference. I maybe felt it helped a bit against frizz, but my hair was still somewhat frizzy after using a straightener. At the same time, this is something I often struggle with regardless of products, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be the spray’s fault. I might choose other products to achieve volume or control frizz, but since this is primarily a heat-protective spray, I judge it as such. The heat-protective effect is naturally hard to measure directly, so I almost have to trust that the product does its job 🫶🏻 I think the spray works best when used on damp hair before blow-drying and then styling with a straightener. On dry hair, I found it could feel a bit sticky, which lowers the experience a bit. The scent is a bit hard to define, but it’s somewhat sweet, not overwhelmingly sweet, but something to be aware of. Incredibly good for this price!
First of all, the price of this straightener is really good – a budget-friendly alternative compared to, for example, GHD, which I would usually use. The straightener heats up very quickly. The first time I used it, I actually didn’t notice it had temperature control, and then I didn’t feel it did much for my hair. But when I later turned the temperature up to max, it worked perfectly and straightened my quite thick and wavy hair effectively and quickly. The only downside for me is that it’s not as good at making curls or waves as, for example, GHD. That’s why I’m deducting one star 🌟 For pure hair straightening, however, this works very well. I also have to point out that the design is beautiful. Good but not wow!
I've tested this heat protectant for a few weeks and I have mixed feelings about it! My hair is curly, tired, damaged but very fluffy and volume is not lacking! I always use heat protectant together with other products right after showering, but also heat protectant on dry hair as soon as a heat tool comes out! 🌝 Nice scent that is quite neutral but gives a fresh scent that is not strong at all! 🌝 I think the spray is okay, maybe a bit too focused/strong but better that than it coming out as a mist and wasting product! 🌝 My hair feels smoother and fuller when I use this on wet hair and blow-dry it in! 🌝 Incredibly good price, I am a big fan of By Lyko and think their products always deliver despite the cheap price! What lowers the rating is that I don't think it works that well on dry hair, it's not so bad that the hair sticks together but still a slight feeling of it. It also says on it that it should be used on wet hair and blow-dried in, so of course I keep that in mind! But I, who often want to let my hair air dry (mostly out of laziness), want to be able to use my heat protectant on dry hair with the same nice result. When blow-dried into wet hair - it fulfills everything it claims to do! When used on dry hair - not quite as spot on and the hair feels like you want to wash it after a day! Really good budget flat iron!
This incredibly cute flat iron has been tested the past few weeks and I am very fond of it! The nice pink color, the long cord, the fast heating, and the great result for (in my eyes) a really cheap price is so good! I usually use GHD’s flat iron and of course it’s tough to compare with that, BUT for the price difference it still holds up really well! And I still have almost a lion’s mane when I let my hair air dry and it handles my hair brilliantly, just with a bit more patience! If you manage to get through the whole video, you’ll see before, flat ironed, a little giggle, and then curled hair with the final result called VOLUME! 🌸 It has many heat settings so you can get what you want, I always want it on max! 🌸 It’s light and comfortable to hold! 🌸 It’s really good for curling hair, it’s incredibly handy and the curls really turn out so nice! 🌸 Long cord and fast heating! However, I don’t think it’s as sharp when I just want to straighten my hair, of course a matter of getting used to but the plates are relatively small and I feel like I need to repeat 2-3 times to get it completely straight. Big difference when I curled my hair because then it was 👌🏽 right away! This one will live in my gym/work bag, perfect to bring on the go since it has a good size, weighs little, and above all cheers up with its lovely color! A dream of a straightener!
It’s easy to use, has an on/off button as well as a small display where you can see and set the temperature. I didn’t notice that at first, so it was a pleasant surprise! It blinks until it reaches the set temperature and is very easy to adjust. The straightener itself has a good length cord, which makes it easy to use wherever the outlet is. Hooray! I often feel cords are too short, so that’s a big plus. The result is smooth hair that doesn’t require multiple passes per section. Gentle straightening we like! Last but not least, the look. GORGEOUS 🌸 It comes in a pretty pink box you can store it in or use as a lovely gift box if you give it as a present. I haven’t tried curling with this yet, but I’m looking forward to testing it when I’m not in the middle of moving. When a product description has the words “balm spray, fights frizz, adds lots of shine” there are high expectations and potential full cheer from me. With previously bleached (now dyed) hair, my hair screams for anti-frizz and moisture. On paper, this is the perfect product for me. I have been so lucky to test LYKO’s own straightener🌸 I want to start by saying that my hair quality is extremely poor. I haven’t cut my hair in over 2 years and have treated it very badly. My hair is very stiff after several rounds of bleaching and tangles easily. When using this straightener, I also used LYKO’s Heat Protection Spray accordingly! (lyko.com/no/by-lyko/lyko-beat-the-heat-200-ml2) First impression is that it comes in a very cute packaging and color🌸 You can adjust the temperature on the device from 120 to 220 degrees inside. I set mine to 180 degrees and wanted to show that you don’t need the max temperature to achieve the desired result. The heating also felt fast. It went great to straighten my hair! I also tested making a few curls with it, and it worked well. But I wish it came with a heat-protective glove for this, since the straightener can get hot. Overall a good straightener🌸 I wish the package also included a small heat-protective mat/container that you can safely place the straightener on during styling and after for cooling down. As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this wonderfully beautiful flat iron from #bylyko 🩷 I, the tester, have thin, blonde highlighted, frizzy Nordic hair. It comes in packaging that feels very high-end and luxurious for its price. It’s easy to get started with, heats up quickly to the desired level, which is adjusted very easily and smoothly with buttons. It’s clearly lit up to show which heat setting you’re using. Besides being cute and smooth in design, it’s equipped with a generously long cord, which is appreciated! 👌🏼 I’m not an experienced flat iron user, I must admit, but I’ve long considered getting one! I want to quickly and smoothly get rid of all my frizz, and currently I use a heated brush for that, which takes time. I’ve always used heat protection (Lyko’s own Beat the Heat – awesome 💛) and only straightened during this trial period. I’ll try to make curls with it during my vacation when I have time to practice (i.e., not before work like now 😅). Lovely Scent & Shine
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this heat-protective spray from #bylyko 💛 I have thin, blonde highlighted hair that is frizzy and damaged. The product comes in a fresh yellow bottle that is easy to spray out of. However, sometimes the spray is a bit too strong in spots; I would prefer it to be a bit more “misty,” but that’s the only negative thing I find about the product. The scent is great 💛 It leans a bit fruity, fresh, and mild. Not too sweet or sticky! The hair feels pleasant after spraying it in and letting it dry. When using a heat tool with the product in, it can feel a bit stiff while cooling down, but as soon as you brush through it, it’s just shiny and lovely ⭐️ I don’t use heat tools daily, and when I do, I use the lowest heat setting to protect my hair, but during the test period, I definitely used heat tools much more than usual, and I don’t feel like my hair has become more damaged or worn out than usual. What luck I had to get to test this Lyko straightener! It has been on my list for a long time to get a new straightener since the old one decided to give up, and just at the right time I got to test this!
