A good bronzer is something you really want, one that makes your face pop and you look summer-fresh! Perfect everyday foundation
Got to test this from Lyko and I had been using the same foundation for way too long. So I thought this test would disappoint me... But wow, was I wrong!! Perfect everyday foundation that lasts all day. To be completely honest, when I first got it, I thought it was incredibly small. But Lumene has lasted forever and I've used it almost every day. The packaging is exactly as expected, not flashy but solid. The price is really, really good Durability is insane! It’s been put to work, I can say. Bad air on construction sites and warm weather. Of course, it hasn’t been flawless, it faded a bit around the nose and forehead. But after 10 hours, that’s actually a bit expected if you’ve been careless with moisturizing beforehand. A bit about my skin I have sensitive skin that easily gets pimples, dry and "mature skin" But I think this was absolutely phenomenal! I will DEFINITELY buy it again! As an influencer tester, I got to try products from Lumene, which happens to be one of my go-to brands already, so the excitement was total! My first impression was that the Lip Glow Oil Balm in the shade raspberry comes in a sleek packaging in the perfect size to carry in your bag if you want to touch up on the go. It’s easy to get just the right amount out with the applicator, and the design feels like it allows you to get the last drops out as well. Besides the beautiful design, it smells heavenly and tastes just as good, basically like a little dessert treat on your lips! As an influencer, I got to test products from Lumene, which happens to be one of my go-to brands already, so the excitement was total! Especially since for several years now, I have exclusively used Lumene's CC cream instead of foundation. I tested the Blur Even Cover foundation in shade 1.75. I think it has a sleek packaging in a small and handy size. It also has a light liquid formula that's easy to get out of the packaging, though I'm really a sucker for tubes to really get the last bit out when you reach the end. It's described as "providing high even coverage with a light feel," and I can only agree. I'm generally very "rosy" in my face and have some pimples; the foundation does a perfect job covering that and preventing all my emotions from showing on my face, which easily happens when I get stressed or exert myself as everything flares up immediately. At the same time, my birthmarks are still visible, and it doesn't give a heavy or cakey feeling or look like a regular foundation does. For exactly that reason, I basically only use CC cream otherwise and never foundation, but this one hits all the points I'm after. This lady rarely goes for full glam these days, usually aiming for natural everyday makeup, which this one nails. It promises 16 hours of wear, and I have nothing to argue against; it holds up and looks just as nice right after applying makeup as after a tough night shift at work or a day in the sun. I've used it both with and without powder, mostly depending on whether I wanted a more matte look or a real summer glow. Medium brown
As an influtester, I got to try products from Lumene, which happens to be one of my go-to brands already, so the excitement was total! Unfortunately, this product didn’t quite make it all the way and is actually the only one that doesn’t get full marks from me. But starting with the positive, as usual with Lumene, it has a sleek packaging, it’s easy to twist up the stick, and you get just the right amount to work with when applying. I think the shade is very nice and the product is easy to blend into the skin. It feels nice and doesn’t get cakey or leave sharp edges. Where it falls flat is that the color kind of disappears as soon as you start blending it into the skin, and even when you apply more, you don’t really get much color left. Maybe I simply chose the wrong shade, but I’m still quite pale since I work night shifts and haven’t caught any sun yet 💔, so going for the darkest shade didn’t feel quite right when I chose the shade, and that’s why I tried medium brown. Now in the summer sun, it’s important to apply sunscreen, and to reapply several times if you choose to stay in the rays 🌞 Especially me, being ginger and easily getting burned, I always need to have sunscreen with me in the summer to avoid turning into a lobster🦞But it can often be a bit cumbersome to carry a big bottle of sunscreen in the bag 🫤 It’s also a bit tricky to reapply sunscreen over makeup without ruining it, which often creates a dilemma whether I want to ruin my makeup or risk getting burned. 🥵 That’s why I was really happy to try Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion from #SMUUTISKIN !🥳🥳🥳 The product is an SPF50 sunscreen in cushion format, which together with the small heart-shaped puff included, is supposed to make it easy to apply sunscreen during the day, even over makeup! My first impression was that the packaging was very cute, but also a very good size to carry in the bag! 🧡🩷The heart-shaped puff is also a fun touch! The product is very easy to use, and it still applies quite well over makeup (although the sponge can absorb some of the makeup). However, a slightly less good aspect is that you don’t really know how much sunscreen you need, and it feels like you need to use quite a lot. This combined with the fact that the packaging is not refillable makes it feel like the product will run out very quickly (since you only get 15 ml of product), and that you might have spent your money on something that doesn’t last very long. The price for the small amount you get might not be ideal :/ But who knows – maybe it lasts the whole summer and is then a perfect product to make sure you can reapply sun protection after a few hours! I personally appreciate that the product is fragrance-free since I’m sensitive to fragrance! It also contains peach extract and ceramides that protect your skin barrier (always a plus)! I also love that it’s SPF 50, for a fellow ginger like me who burns at the slightest sun exposure 😜👩🏻🦰 I think the idea itself is phenomenal, but the execution could maybe be improved a bit. Poor longevity
This bronzing stick has several positive qualities. The shade is nice and natural without being too cool or gray on the skin (light brown). The formula feels creamy and pleasant, glides easily on the skin, and is easy to apply. It blends smoothly and leaves no harsh edges, making it easy to work with even for those who want a quick makeup routine. Unfortunately, the major downside outweighs the positives. The longevity is very weak and the product disappears quickly from the skin. I have tried applying powder bronzer on top to set the color, but actually find that the result lasts worse than when I only use powder bronzer. Even when I swatch the product on my hand, I notice that the color fades very easily with the slightest touch. I have previously been very satisfied with several makeup products from Lumene and therefore had high expectations for this one. Lumene Blur Even Cover - Longwear Foundation
I am usually very satisfied with Lumene's base products, and their CC Cream is a big favorite of mine. Therefore, I was excited to test the Blur Longwear Foundation in shade 2C, which turned out to be a good match for my skin tone. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the foundation to work the way I wanted. I tried different application techniques but still experienced that the product didn't adhere properly to the skin. When I finally got it to stay, the result was often a bit patchy and uneven. The texture feels light and comfortable, and the shade suits me well, but throughout the day I noticed the foundation moving on my skin and losing the nice finish it had upon application. Unfortunately, this wasn't a hit for me, although it may work better for other skin types. Nice but crumbly
The foundation comes out as a very liquid, slightly oily formula. The color is more covering than I expect from the formulation. I have tried applying it with hands, brush, and sponge, and unfortunately, it crumbles during application. This happens regardless of what I have underneath and despite it working with another liquid foundation I have compared it to. The coverage and glow are very nice, but the product is very difficult to apply evenly and can therefore appear patchy on the skin. The color leans towards orange near the brows and hairline in the shade 1.75. I have dry skin and do not feel that the foundation dries out during the day; it stays nice and hydrated. Unfortunately..
My first impression of this foundation was actually very positive. When I first tested it, I was a bit surprised by the consistency because it felt quite thin and almost watery. I even wondered if something was wrong with the product. But when I started applying it, my perception quickly changed. I have normal to combination skin, where my T-zone tends to get shiny while the areas around my mouth are often dry. Despite the thin consistency, the foundation settled incredibly nicely on the skin. I prefer a natural look and usually don’t use much foundation because I don’t like the feeling of a heavy layer of makeup. Therefore, I was impressed by how good coverage I got with a very small amount of product. The color also blended nicely into my skin tone and adapted better than I first thought when I saw the product on my hand or brush. I chose a slightly darker shade to get a light sun-kissed effect, and I really think I found the right color. The product was easy to work with, easy to apply and blend out, and the result right after application looked very natural and even. Before trying the foundation, I had read many reviews with mixed opinions. After my first experience, I thought I probably belonged to the group that would love this product. Unfortunately, my perception changed after a few hours. Already by midday, the foundation started to break down on my skin. What had first blended in so nicely began instead to look cakey, especially around the nose. I also want to add that I always prepare my skin carefully with skincare, sunscreen, and primer before applying foundation, so the problem was not due to lack of preparation. It almost felt like the skin was rejecting the product. The foundation started to gather in small flakes and disappeared from certain areas while becoming very visible in others. Unfortunately, the result did not look good at all, and I felt like washing it all off as the finish had deteriorated so much. Regarding the packaging, I also have mixed feelings. I was actually surprised at how small the bottle was and initially thought I had received a sample size. I appreciate that the packaging is transparent because you can easily see the shade and how much product is left. On the other hand, I felt the plastic design looked quite cheap. Personally, I prefer a more solid glass bottle that feels a bit more exclusive and durable. In summary, my experience started very strong. The foundation gave nice coverage, a natural finish, and a color that suited me perfectly. Unfortunately, the result did not last throughout the day, and the product did not work with my skin type. New favorite
I had heard some mixed opinions about this foundation before I tried it myself, so I didn’t have high expectations at all. But oh, how positively surprised I was. For reference, I have normal to dry skin and am 38 years old, so I also have some fine lines on my face. One of the best features of this foundation is its thin consistency that feels ultra-light on the skin, while covering redness and more very well. I also think it’s possible to build up coverage by applying several thin layers. In short, you don’t feel it on the skin, but it gives a very even and nice complexion. I have tried many foundations, even at significantly higher prices, which I think this one beats by a mile. Lumene's lip glow oil balm is supposed to be moisturizing and give shine to the lips, has nice ingredients and several shades. Several of the shades also have SPF 30, which is great, and I wish all of them did!! My experience with the product is that it is pleasant but unfortunately I don’t get a wow feeling. It feels comfortable on the lips, smells nice of vanilla, and doesn’t stick. But it also doesn’t last, not that Lumene claimed it would, but it feels like you need to reapply every five minutes and then the product suddenly doesn’t feel quite worth it. I have tried Lumene's Multi-Stick in the Bronzer shade Light Brown and oh my god, what a magical formula!! It just melts into the skin and is so easy to work with, whether you first work it into the brush or apply it directly to the skin (showing both ways in the video). Also so nice to use on the eyelids! Light Brown works really well on fair skin like mine, it doesn't get too gray or too orange like bronzers easily do on lighter skin. Nice and matte base
Lumene's Blur Even Cover foundation is said to be a radiant matte foundation with skin-caring ingredients that last all day, a full 16 hours promised! The product is supposed to provide high coverage while still feeling light on the skin. I have tried shade 0, which is the lightest of them. Usually, I fall among the lightest colors, but sometimes even these are too dark for me, but not this one! It was light enough and truly a neutral undertone. My skin is a combination of dry and normal, so I usually tend to go for more glowing foundations or lighter skin tints to not hide my freckles, especially in the summer. Regarding the radiant matte finish, I can only agree. It spontaneously feels like glow and matte are two opposites, but somehow this foundation manages to be both at the same time. Because it is matte, I find that it clings a bit to dry patches, and I don't think it would work in autumn or winter for my skin, but in summer it works perfectly. I haven't tried it for 16 hours, but it definitely stays nice all day! In the video, I applied a thinner layer for lighter coverage, but it builds up well for higher coverage. As I suspected, the makeup base was not the same after this product😐 The base started moving and looked uneven after application. Of course, it must be noted that despite it being summer, my makeup base isn’t very light, so maybe this kind of product would work with less makeup, I don’t know🤷🏻♀️ I also find it maybe a bit troublesome to apply sunscreen this way, and there’s no guarantee the cream is evenly spread everywhere. The packaging must be praised though, the mirror was a great feature here! Also, the model and size of this product are good even in smaller spaces. The sponge seemed to absorb both makeup and creams on first use😅 The cream itself isn’t much in this packaging, so the idea of having to invest in several of these during the summer isn’t appealing price-wise. The sunscreen itself was very light and absorbed quickly! There was no scent. I really liked this product on its own and also under makeup a lot, even though it wasn’t specifically designed for that.
