Nice on the skin but... perfume shock!
I have tried Garnier's new Vitamin C Sorbet Cream and have mixed feelings. The positive: The texture is 10/10. It is lightweight, gives an instant moisture boost, and leaves the skin with a nice glow. It also works great under makeup! The negative: The scent. It smells very strong of perfume/citrus, which makes it feel more like a body product than facial care. The scent lingers for quite a while, which bothers me as I prefer milder products. I have never tried a sun stick as a complement to my regular SPF before. I was really so excited about this one. And now that I've tested it for a while, I have to say WOW!! It glides easily over the skin without pulling or feeling sticky. Perfect to have in the bag and quickly apply to exposed areas like nose, cheeks, and forehead. I like that it is completely transparent and doesn't ruin makeup when reapplying. Feels very light and almost like you have nothing on your skin. I'm careful to reapply SPF during the day but often find it tricky, especially over makeup. My skin is combination and can get a bit oily in the T-zone. But now it has become so much easier to actually improve my sun protection during the day, which is a big plus. The skin still feels fresh and not greasy, and I haven't gotten any clogged pores. I really love this product. I also love that it provides a little coverage. And SPF 50+ is a big plus for me. I love how smooth the packaging is and how easy it is to dose the right amount. The texture is super smooth and melts into the skin immediately. It barely feels like anything after application, which really makes me look forward to using it every morning. It gives a nice, natural finish, neither too matte nor too shiny. The skin feels soft, moisturized, and protected without feeling heavy. I’ve been testing this sunscreen for a while now and got immediately curious because it combines high SPF with a light serum feel. I was looking for something that protects well but still feels nice on the skin for everyday use. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light it is, it really feels more like a serum than a classic sunscreen. It absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy residue. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave any white cast at all, which can otherwise be a problem for me. It also works perfectly under makeup, nothing rolls or separates. I have combination skin that can easily become both dry and a bit shiny during the day, and I’m quite sensitive to heavier products. I use SPF daily, year-round. My skin feels hydrated, even, and protected all day. garnier has released a sorbet cream and I have never felt a texture like this before🤩 It smells fresh and is very concentrated, which means you don’t need to use much product with each application/use. It feels moisturizing and also cooling; when applied, it feels like a cooling butter but still has a matte texture! Incredibly good sunscreen
I have been so lucky to test a sunscreen from the brand Vichy!🤩 My first impression was that the bottle looked very nice and sleek. I first tried it on my hand, as shown in the video, and was impressed by the texture. Usually, sunscreens are thick in texture, and I often feel that it can ruin the makeup applied on top. This one, however, felt like skincare, and I was excited to use it under makeup. It was easy to apply and melted nicely and quickly into the skin. I experienced that the makeup sat nicely on top, so I am very satisfied!🥰 I haven't tested how good the UV protection is due to bad weather where I live... but otherwise, a very good sunscreen.
