Okay, but too dry for my skin
I was so lucky to receive 3 products from #nars to test as #lykoinflutester 😍 I am really bad at using makeup as I haven't found any products that do what my skin needs, so I was very excited here 🤭 I have very problematic skin, large pores, a lot of dry areas but also oily, blemished skin and scars.. I need something that covers but doesn't settle into the pores so it looks uneven and dry. And also that doesn't make me get more blemished skin than I have, and I feel that is very difficult 🫤 Unfortunately, this concealer didn't work for my skin even though it seemed very good! When I first tested it on my hand, it felt very soft and good, but I noticed that it quickly became too dry and visible on my skin. I tried with both brush and sponge, but neither made the product any better. It didn't cover very well either, and I tried to build it up with more product, but still the redness etc. was visible through it.. I always do my skincare routine before I put on makeup, so I have both moisturizer etc. on my skin. I also had a pore minimizer on, but still the concealer didn't do much for me. Looked okay from a distance, but up close you could see that the product settled in the pores, and throughout the day I saw that the product had settled into all the lines. The product gave a natural pearlescent glow to the face. A small amount went a long way and created a stunning little holiday look. As a tip, the product also works wonderfully to add glow to the eyelids. Iconic Glow Bronzer 10 Maple
I rarely come across a bronzer that has such a suitable shade, the product was not too orange or dark. I got a lovely sun-kissed tone on my skin. The product applied beautifully and evenly on the skin and did not streak like many other bronzers. Iconic Luster Blush 50 Velvet Plum
Absolutely lovely product, the pigment can be layered beautifully on the skin according to personal taste, and the result is even. The product gives a delightful flush to the cheeks and has received praise in use. The packaging is convenient, and there is plenty of product. Great product for the money
I have been testing this Luminizer for a few weeks and I really appreciate it. I have the color Electra, which is the perfect shade to use as eyeshadow. I really like using this type of product for multiple areas, however, it is a bit dark for me right now in the middle of winter but will be perfect for summer or if I have self-tanner on. It gives a nice glow that you can build up depending on how much intensity you want. The product is also very large and will last a LONG time. SO pretty
I'm not really a blush girl, but this was really so naturally pretty. But also a product that can be built up for those who want more. I would say this color was perfect for me, it's neither too warm nor too cool, and I like that you can use it both on the lips, as eyeshadow, and blush. I have dry skin and it lays so nicely despite that. Lasts all day, works well, and blends in naturally with all the makeup I have. Also no strong scent, which I appreciate. Probably works better if you don't have dry skin
I had the opportunity to test this concealer from NARS. I have the shade Chantilly, which has a slightly more yellow tone on me, which was exactly what I wanted. It has medium to high coverage, which is also what I want to cover, for example, my pimples. What I also like is that it is matte, but I don't know if that's what makes it too dry on my skin. I have sensitive, dry skin, and as you can see in the picture, it looks like it "flakes" around the pimples. Which makes me look even drier. I think this works better for me in places where I want to brighten rather than just cover. Which means this isn't a concealer I can use for everything. I've tried warming it up before application, tried applying with both a brush and my fingers, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. Wow for a glow!
I have been so lucky to test the NARS Light Reflecting Luminizer in the shade Electra, and I just have to say WOW, This highlighter is something special. The color is absolutely gorgeous, has lots of shimmer, and gives a golden glow to the skin. It applies evenly and nicely on the skin, blends in easily, and works well layered with the rest of the makeup. What’s nice about this is that the effect is buildable, so you can regulate how much shimmer you want based on the look you’re going for. Even if you apply it multiple times, the result is still natural and doesn’t streak like other highlighters can. I don’t often use highlighter for everyday, but I can easily use this for just a little extra glow on the cheekbones. Melts into the skin
I’ve been so lucky to test the NARS makeup stick, which can be used for so much! For me, I’ve mostly used this as a blush stick😊 The color Orgasm Crave is, in my opinion, the perfect pink shade! Just light enough, and it matched my skin tone well. As several have mentioned, the stick isn’t very pigmented on the first application, but I actually think it’s nice that the product has a buildable effect depending on how strong of a color you want. I went over my skin 2-3 times before I was satisfied with the color result. I dabbed the brush directly on the stick, and then worked the product into my skin. It melts easily into the skin without creating unnatural lines, even with several rounds to achieve a buildable effect. I also love that it has a little hint of shimmer! It gives a nice glow without being too much. Works for everyday, but can also be built up more if you want a little extra shine. This concealer surprised me! I usually prefer more liquid concealer, so I was excited to test this out🌼 It has impressive coverage without looking heavy, and when I warm it up in my palm first, it blends into the skin like a dream. I buff it in with a small brush before I lightly go over it with my finger, and the result is so nice and seamless. I have a bit of dry skin around my eyes now in the winter, and if I use too much, it can settle a bit in lines, but with the right amount and a little skincare underneath, it stays in place🫶🏽 You need extremely little product, so this jar lasts a long time. And as always: NARS' iconic matte packaging makes it so pretty in the makeup bag that it almost feels like a little design object. ✨ Lower the price a bit, and that it takes a little time to work in. Brightens under the eyes!
I’ve been so lucky to test Nars’ concealer in the shade Vanilla, and I’ve been trying it for a little while now. I have very fair skin, and this matched perfectly in color and has a neutral undertone! The consistency is quite thick, which means you need very little product at a time. It’s a bit unusual for me to use concealer in a jar, which might be a bit more cumbersome than with an applicator, but it works fine. I liked best to first dab a little product on the skin with my finger before I worked it in with a brush. The result might have been even better with a beauty blender, but I don’t use that so often in my daily routine. What I really LOVE is how it brightens under the eyes and effectively hides dark circles. The result looks fresh and awake without becoming cakey. I’ve tried to show the brightening effect in the video. The price is a bit high for a concealer, but I think it delivers on what it promises, and the finish holds up nicely throughout the day. Soft Matte Complete Concealer Nougatine
I got to test the shade Nougatine, which I thought was a good match!! Since I usually dab concealer with my fingers, I found the packaging easy to work with. The concealer is creamy & is supposed to provide good coverage, which I agree with, it covers redness without needing particularly much product. Unfortunately, the product tends to settle & become a bit cakey in the fine lines under my eye. However, I find that it works much better to apply the product just under the "bags" to brighten up, and then I don’t experience it becoming so cakey. It works for me, but of course, it varies. I do like how creamy & easy the concealer is to work with, and I still think it predominantly does what it’s supposed to. I actually don't use highlighter in my makeup routine that often, so it was really fun to try this one from Nars. First and foremost, I think the packaging is great with both a mirror and a large product surface. I really like the shimmer and how easily it applies. I have as #lykoinflutester gotten to try #nars ’s Multiple Orgasm Crave Blush for a while! Here are my thoughts on the product👇🏻 💁🏼♀️ About me: Dry skin, quite red. I have tested different types and shades of blush, this color I think is a bit too similar to my skin before I put on makeup, which makes it not particularly appealing unfortunately😅 I prefer a blush in a more liquid form. 🧴 About the product: Super nice and luxurious packaging. The product has a bit of shimmer in it which I like. It’s a pretty neutral color so I think it would suit many people. ✨ Application: Since it’s a stick, it’s a bit firmer in the formula, but much creamier and easier to blend out than other blushes I’ve tried before. 👌🏻 Result: A very natural color that makes the makeup look more natural. I got to try this multistick from Nars. You should be able to use the stick on both cheeks, lips & eyes. Personally, I prefer to use the stick as a blush on my cheeks. I find the color to be more warm & leaning towards peach than pink. I think the product is easy to apply and usually work it in with my fingers, and I think it works really well. The stick is nice as it is, but I think it looks super together with my regular blush that leans a bit more towards pink. So it can be used as it is or combined. The stick also has a nice shimmer which I really liked. The product can be built up to the desired effect as it is quite "stingy" on the first application. Not for me
I have been able to test this concealer from Nars for a few weeks now… and unfortunately, this is not for me. I would say my skin is quite normal and I very rarely have issues with products not working for me. To start with, I prefer concealers that come in a "tube" with an applicator, I find it easier to use than when it comes like this in a jar. When it comes to the product itself, it is thick in consistency, which means it covers well and can give a nice highlighter effect under the eyes. BUT I can't get it to work under my eyes, it settles directly into the fine lines (which they also claim shouldn't happen) and I look super dry and cakey. However, I think it works well on other areas. Like on the forehead, for example. I have tested applying it both with a brush, sponge, and my fingers. The absolute best result is with my fingers, but I don't like applying product with my fingers and getting sticky, so I gladly let that be 😅 Showing results with a close-up of how it looks under my eyes after application. So to summarize: not for my skin. It gets dry and cakey under the eyes but works well on other areas! It gives a nice coverage when it works well. Incredible!
Wow wow wow!! This is an incredible highlighter that Nars has really nailed. To start with, the packaging is very pretty and sleek, and it's so nice that the brand is printed in the product! The color is incredibly beautiful, I would say a mix of champagne and light gold. I was a bit worried at first when I saw it that the color would be too dark, but that is absolutely not a problem. It just leaves a warm shimmer on the skin with a little light glitter. The product is easy to apply and lays down very nicely, melting into the skin right away. I don't think it emphasizes pores or anything like that at all. It leaves an incredible shimmer that can be built up so it can work for both everyday and party! I also think it's incredibly pretty to have as a shimmer on the eyes. So to summarize: WOW! One of the prettiest highlighters I've tried. So pretty on and easy to use. I’ve had the chance to test this multi-stick from Nars for a few weeks. This stick is made to work for cheeks, eyes, and lips! However, I’ve preferred to mostly use it as a blush stick. To start with the product itself, I think the packaging is beautiful and sleek! It looks very luxurious. The color is also incredibly nice, just the kind of pink shade I love for blush. When it comes to application, the product isn’t very pigmented, but you have to build it up. Which everyone has different opinions about, some like it and some want pigmentation right away - I have no problem building it up myself! I’ve tried applying it in different ways, directly on the skin, on a brush, before powder and after powder to really put it to the test. I’ve preferred to put the product on a brush and then on the skin… and believe it or not, but I also think you get the best pigmentation and the prettiest result if you’ve powdered your face first! In the video I’ve attached, my face is powdered, and I think you can see the product so much more. Using a dense brush to pick up a lot of product helps too. For me, it’s actually a big NO NO to put cream over powder, but it actually works really well with this product!! Once you’ve found your tricks to get it applied best, I think it’s really pretty! It lays evenly and nicely on the skin and lasts all day without disappearing. The color is amazing and I think it suits most makeup looks. So to summarize: I like it! Can be hard to beat
Super good sunscreen for the face! What I look for in a sunscreen is a higher SPF, a light formula that my oily eczema skin can tolerate, and that it doesn't make me whiter in the face. Beauty of Joseon's sunscreen meets all these requirements. It might even become a recurring favorite. The sunscreen is very light in consistency and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy. But it is also moisturizing enough that the only thing I use during the day is a watery serum and then apply BoJ over it. I don't feel that it makes my skin oilier either, as many sun products can do. I know that you should reapply sunscreen during the day, but despite that, I've never gotten burned, even though I've been in the sun for most of the day. It doesn't irritate the skin at all, and it doesn't cause more breakouts than usual. BoJ also works excellently as a base for makeup, which is great! + light and mild formula + high sun protection + suitable for many skin types + contains many yummy ingredients that are good for the skin - one might wish for a pump, maybe? For anyone looking for a good sunscreen for the face, BoJ is definitely worth trying.
