As #lykoinflutester I have tested #cerave's hydrating cleanser. I want to give a brutally honest feedback, even though I love Cerave and use Cerave daily❤️ A little about me Age: 26 Skin type: Combination 🚩The product is suitable for: Normal to dry skin type Let me just start by saying that Cerave is one of my top 10 skincare favorites. Regardless of the brand, I think it's important to buy the right product for the right skin type, I'm always aware of that. You can immediately tell when a product doesn't suit your own skin type, and as usual, I stop using it right away. 💡 Normally I use - Cerave foaming cleanser for normal to combination/oily skin, both in the morning and at night. It really does wonders!! So I was a bit skeptical when I took 2-3 pumps of Cerave hydrating cleanser, because it feels like a watered-down cream - and I just knew it wouldn't help with my combination skin 😄 It made the situation worse, in other words. I simply had to use the cerave foaming cleanser and wash off the hydrating cleanser - it probably suits those with dry skin much better! I have as #lykoinflutester received some products from #versoskincare to test, and next up to be reviewed are their Energizing eye patches. The product is said to be intensely moisturizing and strengthening and should refresh tired skin. Sounds perfect for a pair of 45-year-old eyes ✨ I don't have any real concerns about my eyes, I have of course gotten a few fine lines and tend to get a bit puffy around the eyes. They come in a jar that holds 30 pairs of eyepatches, it also comes with a small spatula for easier pickup. There is a lot of serum in the jar so all the patches are well soaked. I always store such products in the fridge because I want that cooling effect. They are easy to apply and stay in place without sliding around. I have them on for about 20 minutes and then massage in the excess. The result is very moisturizing, I also feel that they reduce puffiness at least temporarily. Long drying time ⏳️
To start with, I think the packaging/tube feels cheap, it’s made of plastic. I tried curling my lashes first, but it was almost like doing it in vain since the mascara took an unusually long time to dry, which made the curl of the lashes revert back to their normal shape 😴 I still found it easy to work with and it didn’t clump easily. However, I experienced that it was on the wetter/stickier side and tended to smudge to the right and left during application 🙈 It also became difficult to wipe off what got on the skin, as the mascara took a long time to dry. Very long time actually. It wasn’t wet, but sticky for a long time. This meant that the lashes clumped together when I tried to wipe off the mascara that had gotten on the eyelid. The result is still nice, but since I have hooded eyes, this mascara is not optimal for me. It also transferred to the eyelid during the day. Safe and effective
This moisture booster is rated as very safe for sensitive skin, those with allergies, and those with eczema by several independent organizations that evaluate skincare. It contains no alcohol, fragrance, or colorants, nor any hormone-disrupting or cancer-causing substances. The ingredient list is short, which is a good sign. I have very sensitive skin, and it takes very little for me to react. But not with this one. It feels pleasant on the skin. The consistency is lovely, light, and nice, and easy to apply. For me, a couple of pumps were enough, and then some. The scent is discreet and mild. I like the design. The packaging is pretty, and the pump is good. The cap works as it should. I regularly use two other products in the same category, and this one is just as good, if not better. My skin was soothed and hydrated. This is a good product for skin exposed to cold weather and wind. But it is also a product for well-being. As #lykoinflutester, I had the opportunity to test this mascara from #rimmel ✨ In short: I liked this mascara, and it will continue to be used frequently! The brush is good at separating the lashes, but I did get a few small clumps "on the side" when I went over the lashes a couple of times. It could be removed with one more swipe, so it was easily resolved anyway😅 I actually also like the fact that it needs to be built up to achieve a more dramatic effect, as it makes the mascara work very well for both everyday use and more special occasions. For everyday use, I've gone for 2-3 swipes with the brush, and it looked natural. A good cleanser 💧
As a Lyko influencer, I have been testing the Cerave Hydrating cleanser for a few weeks now! My first impression of the product was that it was simple and in a pretty good size. The consistency of the cleanser is lovely, soft, and when you apply it to your face, it feels smooth. I like to double cleanse my skin, so I use this one first and finish with another cleanser, as I get the feeling that this "leaves a film", which is probably good for the skin, it doesn't feel dry at all afterwards but rather hydrated. But I like it when it really feels clean, hence the double cleansing! 🧼 It's easy to use, easy to apply, and does its job! A good product, in other words. Natural Glow
L’Oréal Paradise Lumi Glotion is a product I really like, even though the shade is a bit too dark for me alone. I usually mix it with a light foundation, and then I get a super nice and natural glow that looks fresh on the skin. It doesn’t give a sharp highlighter effect, but more of an even and healthy glow, which I personally prefer. I’ve also used it over bronzer to get a little extra glow, especially when I want my makeup to look a bit more alive. The finish is very natural and pretty. Easy to build up
I have tested the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, and this has quickly become a favorite in my makeup bag. I have very light and quite straight lashes from before, so I am always on the lookout for a mascara that actually gives visible results. This separates the lashes and provides both nice length and volume without clumping. The best part is that I get the desired result very quickly, and I don’t have to stand there for a long time building layer upon layer. Perfect when you’re short on time. It doesn’t give much curl, so that’s a small downside. Still, I think the result holds up nicely throughout the day. This is a mascara I have used for many years. Unfortunately, this cleanser didn't suit my skin 😕💧 Even though I usually like CeraVe and have had good experiences with their other cleansers, this one just didn't work for me. The consistency is very light and runny, too thin in my opinion, which makes it feel like the skin isn't getting properly cleansed 🫧 After using it, I really miss that clean and fresh feeling, and it feels more like the product leaves a film on the skin 😬 I also find it hard to rinse off completely, which doesn't feel so nice. A real moisture bomb for your face! I've had the honor of testing this face cream for a good while now, and here are my thoughts: I think the jar had a nice appearance, was easy to open and close. Just the right thickness of cream that makes it easy and quick to massage into the face. Perfect consistency actually. I've preferred to use this in my evening routine. Because it is incredibly moisturizing and lovely on the skin. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is hydrated and lovely. The price tag is quite high. On the edge for me. But this brand is really known for its good products, so if you want to treat yourself to something extra, go for this. Contains perfume if you are sensitive to it. However! A very mild and pleasant scent. That the cream is in a jar. I prefer a tube so that bacteria don't get into the cream. I can't visibly see that my small wrinkles have become less, but I think you have to use the product for a longer time to determine that. New favorite
I have used the same mascara for many years. I have tried different types, but always gone back. I need a mascara that gives both length and volume. That’s why it was very exciting to try this one as #lykoinflutester. I have long, but light lashes. Therefore, I want a mascara that brings out the potential of my "invisible" lashes. I think this one absolutely does. With age, it has also become a bit thinner in the rows on the lash front. I therefore think it’s best to use a brush with dense bristles to get more volume, separate the lashes, and catch the short lash hairs as well. With this one, I miss a bit denser bristles, but it works well. I like that I can work well with the lashes with the flexible brush and that the wand is thin at the end. This way, I can get the inner lashes without getting product on the skin. The mascara holds well throughout the day and is easily removed with eye makeup remover. All in all, a very good mascara!
