Surprisingly, I am a bit disappointed with this foundation. Why? Coverage: Not good enough to cover my discolored spots. Take note: I had to use a concealer and it’s still not blended well to do its job 😅 Size-wise this is handy when you’re always on the go but I’d defo recommend this for fair-skinned types without skin problems (unlike me 🥲). I've been testing this luminizer for a while now and I'm really impressed. If you love a natural, glowing look, this product is definitely worth checking out. It gives the skin a super nice radiance that looks fresh and healthy without feeling glittery or over the top. Here I used it mixed into my moisturizer, but it's very versatile! It can be used as a highlighter, under or in foundation, and on the eyelids! No matter how I use it, it blends nicely into the skin and gives a really beautiful glowing result. The formula feels very light on the skin and not at all greasy or sticky, which I appreciate because I don't like when products feel heavy. It's supposed to be both waterproof and sweat-proof, so the glow stays nice throughout long days, and I think it lived up to that! Perfect setting spray!
I got to try Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and I really understand why it’s so hyped. As someone who is often out all day and wants their makeup to look just as good in the evening as in the morning, I think this spray really meets the requirements! What I like most is that it keeps the makeup in place without feeling heavy or sticky. It gives a natural finish that’s neither too matte nor too shiny, which suits my skin perfectly. I have very acne-prone skin, and what I look for in a setting spray is one that helps cover my acne marks all day and doesn’t cause new breakouts. I really think it helps keep my makeup in place throughout the day and I haven’t experienced breakouts because of it! I’ve used it both during long school days and nights out, and my makeup has stayed surprisingly fresh. Hush Hush Eau de Parfum from Meira
I have tested Hush Hush Eau de Parfum from Meira for a period and think it is a perfume with an exciting scent profile. To me, it feels quite spicy with a sweet undertone, rather than typically floral or very feminine. Therefore, I would say it suits both women and men, or anyone who likes more unisex-inspired scents. The scent is pleasant and easy to wear, which makes me want to use it as an everyday perfume. The packaging is also incredibly nice – the red bottle feels both elegant and passionate, and the size is perfect to carry in a handbag, toiletry bag, or on a trip. What unfortunately lowers the rating for me is the longevity. Even though I apply the perfume generously, I find that the scent disappears quite quickly. I have difficulty smelling it on myself after a short while, and it projects very little. Even people close to me had trouble perceiving the scent, which means it doesn’t quite live up to my expectations regarding intensity and lasting power. In summary, it is a nicely scented and beautiful perfume with an interesting, spicy character, but I would have wished for significantly better longevity and more presence on the skin. I was a bit unsure at first how to use this product actually, and had to try and fail a bit. I do not recommend applying it directly on the skin! It dries very fast. The best way to use it is to mix it with either day cream, body lotion, or a liquid primer. Just remember to blend very well, otherwise it becomes patchy. Gives a beautiful glow when used correctly! Small, nice, and compact with a mirror. It’s not much you get here, and they’re too small to fit a bronzer brush in without touching the highlighter! I bought this anyway to use as an eyeshadow duo. I got to test this product as a Lyko Influtester :) A little about me first; 41 years old, normal to dry skin with some fine lines, and above average fond of and committed to a good skincare routine! I actually haven’t used cleansing gels like this since I was a teenager and in my early 20s, and luckily there have been new and more updated cleansing products since then! I usually use either just micellar water or cleansing cream, so I was a bit excited to try this and kind of go back to my youth in a way :) The most important thing for me is that it’s effective; meaning it removes makeup and creams quickly, and you don’t have to cleanse multiple times. I’ve used this several times a week over the past few weeks. I first remove eye makeup with micellar water and then dampen my face with lukewarm water before using this gel. It’s clear in color, smells fresh of cucumber, and you quickly work up a fairly foamy layer that gives a refreshing and clean feeling. I massage it well into my face and rinse several times. And then I realized why I don’t prefer this type of cleansing products; all the water running down my arms... But aside from that, it’s actually quite effective at removing makeup! The big test comes when I afterwards go over with a cotton pad with toner and see how much makeup residue is left. And it’s not much! So I’d say this is easy to use, effective, and cleans well. The skin also feels soft and clean afterwards! I’d guess this is a nice product for a somewhat younger consumer who likes to use a lot of soap and water when cleansing the skin. I don’t do that, so it gets 4 out of 5 stars from me. I got to test this product as a Lyko influtester 🫶🏼 First a bit about me: 41 years old, very fond of and focused on good skincare, normal to dry skin. Face masks are not something I use much, so I was excited when I got the chance to test this and incorporate it into my routine. Since it is aimed at normal to dry skin, I thought it would be perfect for me. The tube is okay and it’s easy to get the product out. It doesn’t really remind me of a face mask; it has the consistency of a light cream, so I just spread on a thick layer and waited for it to absorb. It stays a bit like a layer on the skin (especially since I applied a lot to get the effect of a mask) and I let it work for about 20 minutes. I used a damp cloth to wipe it off, but it actually just felt like wiping off a thin layer of moisturizer. I’ve used it maybe 6 times over the past weeks and don’t notice any big difference in my skin. It’s as if it’s not effective enough, that it doesn’t penetrate deep enough into the skin to make a difference. At least it doesn’t provide enough moisture to skip the cream after removing it. I have tested this cleanser for a while and think it’s really good for my skin. I have combination skin where I’m a bit oilier in the T-zone. The gel foams just the right amount, cleans effectively, and leaves the skin clean without feeling tight or dry afterward. It also has a fresh and mild scent🥰. I have been so lucky to test the facial cleanser from Cool Derma Company! This is a facial cleanser with a nice consistency. I find that it doesn’t foam, but that’s not a problem for me. I got to test this product as a Lyko influtester 🌼 This is a very light eye cream, and by light I primarily mean the texture. It is thin and almost lotion-like, which makes it easy to spread. It has a mild and clean cucumber scent, feels cooling, and provides light moisture. I have quite dry skin under my eyes with some lines (I'm over 40), and I need something a bit stronger than this to smooth out. But I think it’s perfect for young skin that wants to refresh the eye area! It sits very nicely under makeup and concealer, and that’s always a plus and a must (for me at least☺️) The tube is large, and considering you only need a pea-sized amount for both eyes, this is a tube that lasts a long time! As a Lyko Testpilot, I got to test the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, and this was a product I had heard incredibly good things about beforehand. So I was very excited to try it myself! 🥰✨ I've also seen that many have reacted to the fact that it has a new formula, especially that the spray comes out differently than before. Personally, I actually think this is a big plus! 💕 The spray comes out as a nice and light mist, not in big drops like I've experienced with some other setting sprays. This makes the product distribute evenly over the face without leaving drop marks or feeling like the face is soaking wet. 😍 Urban Decay makes some pretty bold claims about this spray: 💗 Waterproof 💗 Transfer resistant 💗 All day hydration And after testing it through several long days outside, I have to say I'm impressed! 🥹✨ What I like best is how it melts the makeup together and into the skin so the result looks more natural. The pictures I've attached were taken after a whole day outside, and I think they show how well the makeup still holds. ❤️ But what really surprised me the most was how little it transfers! 😍 One of the worst things I know is when I've spent time on my makeup, and then it transfers onto my clothes as I get dressed. It's so frustrating! 🙈 But with this one, I experienced almost no transfer at all, which really impressed me. ❤️ All in all, I really understand why this has become a cult favorite over the years. I've been trying a Fiber Foam from Eleni & Chris for a while now and think it gives really good results. For reference, I have long, fairly thick hair with natural waves. I find the mousse easy to apply and it helps give both volume and hold without the hair feeling heavy or sticky. I especially noticed that the hair got more texture when blow-drying and that the hairstyle stayed nice longer throughout the day. Fiber-rich hair
Got a task as #lykotestpilot from #elenichris to try this! I myself have long and curly hair, and the son who tested it has slightly longer hair on top of his head, and curls. The packaging is nice and simple in design, which feels like quality. The foam was a bit hard to dose, you really don’t need much at all. The son tried it on towel-dried hair and let it dry without heat. When dry, it gave bounce to the curls and hold. He doesn’t use products in his hair but likes this one! Held up well during hockey practice too. I tried putting it in dry, freshly washed hair, and blow-dried the product in. I blow-dried my hair upside down after massaging the foam into the scalp. It really got wild! The result was volume, crazy, and hold. Didn’t feel sticky after blow-drying. Also didn’t feel like you had any product in, maybe a light product but doesn’t feel like a foam with fibers. The next day it feels like you still have some product left, and I wanted to wash my hair. The product is probably not something we’ll use daily, but before events like graduation etc. to pamper the hair a bit. We like the product, but it just feels like 4/5 because it’s hard to dose the foam, and it felt a bit too much in the hair. Would recommend for those with shorter hair like a bob or short cut. But overall, a good product! Didn’t get to take a photo of the son before he took off, and the bottle ended up in his hockey trunk 😂🤷🏻♀️! I have been testing the Invisible Hydrating Fluid Sunscreen for a few weeks now☀️ Cute packaging with a super light sunscreen that absorbs well into the skin without feeling heavy or greasy.
