Nice and handy palette!
I had the honor of testing this product as a Lyko Influtester! The palette from By Lyko is really super light and handy, perfect to have with you on the go and in your makeup bag. I'm personally terrible at applying eyeshadow since it's something I usually don't do, but I really want to get better because it looks so nice! Also, I have hooded eyes, so I need to practice, practice, practice. I don't think my result was perfect this time, but practice makes perfect! 😉 Regarding the formula itself, I wish the glittery shadows were a bit creamier. However, I find it much better to apply the shimmer with my finger than with a brush. I used a bit of concealer as a “primer” before applying the eyeshadow, and then I still think the shadows applied evenly and nicely on the eyelid. Definitely a budget-friendly little palette to practice with! Creamy Dreamy: Creamy everyday favorite for the lips 💄
I got to try By Lyko Creamy Dreamy Lip Crayon in the shade Love Burnt as a Lyko Influtester 💄✨ The lipstick comes in crayon format and has a creamy, smooth formula with nice pigmentation. It’s easy to apply, gives an even finish, and feels comfortable on the lips without drying them out. However, I find that it can bleed a little outside the lip lines, so I prefer to use a lip liner together with it. Then it stays in place much better. Budget find with a catch
I got to try the ByLyko Lip Balm in the shade Dare It Bare as a Lyko Influtester ✨ The color is very similar to my own lipstick, which makes it perfect for a natural everyday look. The formula is soft as butter and glides easily on the lips. It also gives a slight cooling sensation upon application that disappears after a while. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice much of any plumping effect. I find the balm moisturizing and it gives a nice shine to the lips. The packaging is cute and pink, but feels quite plasticky and a bit cheap. Something I also noticed quite quickly is that the stick cannot be twisted back down if you accidentally twist it up too much, so you have to be a bit careful when applying. The balm softens well but disappears relatively quickly from the lips, so you have to reapply during the day. Good for supporting hair growth
Hairification review First, let me say that I was feverishly searching for a product that might prevent hair loss and breakage. My own hair doesn’t grow past my shoulders and looks like it’s been really tightly curled, but I haven’t done that for a long time, several years actually. I had 3 weeks to test the products, and this is how much I managed to get out of it. I didn’t really notice any actual hair crow effect, but that’s understandable given the time frame. After a week, however, I noticed that there was less hair on the shower floor than usual, but at the next shower there was more again, despite the washing interval being the same and me only using these products. The shampoo instructed to wash twice, which I do when needed, but here it felt a bit boring to do it every time. The shampoo had the consistency of a moisturizer and felt good. The conditioner was very thick but therefore easy to manage. The only problem was that it was hard for me to squeeze it out of the bottle because it was so thick. The shampoo and conditioner had a faint scent of Vieno men’s cleansing product when taken from the bottle, but it disappeared immediately. I would almost call it scentless, and the serum didn’t even have this faint scent. The serum for the scalp also felt good, it was thick and moisturizing. The only thing I didn’t like was the pipette bottle and dispenser. The pipette couldn’t be filled completely. So it had to be filled several times. Applying the serum widely and lightly also felt impossible, it always stayed as a blob somewhere that I desperately tried to spread wider with my fingers. What was really good was that it could be applied to both dry and wet scalp and it didn’t make the hair greasy at all! 👏 Not even my thin Finnish hair. As you can see from the pictures in the videos, the product contains, among other things, biotin, ginseng root, and it really has great potential, so in summary I would say it’s an okay product but regarding growth I don’t dare or can promise that it does that. Three weeks is too short a time for that. But I believe it at least provides strong support for hair growth. Light and nice sunscreen
I have tried the Smuuti Skin Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion, and this is a product that has made it much easier to apply sun protection during the day, also over makeup. What I like best is how practical the packaging is. It takes up little space and is easy to carry in the bag, making it easy to reapply sunscreen when on the go. The applicator is comfortable to use, and the product is quick and easy to apply. I have normal skin but can sometimes get eczema and have a bit sensitive skin, so a big plus that it is fragrance-free. The sunscreen absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving the face white. It sits nicely over makeup without moving it or making it patchy. Additionally, the skin feels soft and well moisturized after use. I really like the consistency of the sunscreen, which is light and gives a nice glow as well as moisture to the skin. Black girl friendly
Tested a new product from #smuutiskin Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion. In my opinion, this product is "Black Girl friendly" as it does not leave a white cast on the face. The product melts into the skin, sits nicely on the skin, and works great over makeup. The skin also feels moisturized after use. The cushion format is convenient, hygienic, and perfect to carry in the handbag, which I think is a plus. The only downside, hence 4 stars, is that the product contains only 15 ml, which I find a bit pricey and will run out quickly. Summer Glow!
I have tested this highlighter in the shade Space Cowboy in several different ways, and I think it’s a good and versatile product! Very nice for both face and body to add a little extra glow now in the summer! I really like the packaging because it’s easy to get out just the right amount of product, and it’s also quite small and handy to carry around. The cap also fits well so there’s no risk of leakage in the makeup bag! I’ve tested it by mixing a little into my moisturizer under foundation, and if you use just a little product you get a very nice glow all over the face. I’ve also tried applying a bit with a brush after foundation for a more pronounced highlight, which it worked well for too. The big favorite has actually become using it on the body, especially chest, collarbones, and even legs! I’ve mixed a bit into moisturizer and feel like I get an incredibly nice and fresh glow. Sometimes I also add a little extra on the collarbones at the very end. In the video, I show it completely on its own, and I like that it’s not too much by itself but just the right amount of glow. It delivers on its promise of being waterproof because it stays on incredibly well. I’ve tested it now on hot summer days where I’ve also sweated, and it still hasn’t transferred onto clothes. The only downside for me is that it dries quite fast, so you have to be pretty quick to work it in. New favorite!
I had high expectations for this since I’m incredibly happy with the original All Nighter setting spray. This promises the same lasting power but with more glow and moisture, and I definitely think it delivers on that! First of all, I like the bottle itself, and the spray spreads easily over the skin. I’ve previously experienced sprays with too compact a spray, which makes some areas of the face very wet, but that’s not the case here. It also has almost no scent, which I prefer since it can get too many different smells when using multiple products at once. It feels a bit sticky for the first few minutes, but after a short while, it dries down quite a bit, and then I feel like the makeup stays incredibly well afterwards. I’ve tested it now on hot summer days, and the makeup holds just as well as when using the original setting spray. Additionally, I don’t get dry, and the skin looks fresh and glowing! Exceeded my expectations! 💜
I was so lucky to get to test this straightener through Lyko’s influencer test program, and I have to admit I was really positively surprised! I’ve been using an older GHD straightener for several years, so I was a bit curious if this one could measure up. To my surprise, I actually liked this one even better! I tested it at 170 °C, 200 °C, and 220 °C to find out what worked best on my hair. For me, 200 °C was the clear winner – my hair became smooth, soft, and stayed nice without me feeling the need to go over the same sections multiple times. The whole hair was straightened in about 10 minutes, which I think is very fast! One of the things I liked best was how easy it was to work with. It glides nicely through the hair without snagging, and the result was really smooth and shiny. That made the whole process both quick and easy. I also have to mention the design! I think it looks incredibly nice, and the color makes it stand out a bit from many other straighteners. It simply feels a bit extra luxurious + pink is my favorite color, so maybe it was even easier for me to fall in love with both the color and the design. This one has actually earned a permanent spot in my bathroom drawer and will replace my old GHD. Good heat protection with a small downside 💛
I actually rarely use heat on my hair since I have natural curls, so heat protection isn’t a product I have much experience with. That’s why it was extra exciting to test this together with the straightener from By Lyko through Lyko’s influtester program. The first thing I noticed was the scent – it’s really good! 😍 It smells fresh and clean without being too strong, which I think is a big plus. I sprayed the product on towel-dried hair before straightening it, and the product felt light in the hair during styling. The only thing I missed was a different type of spray bottle. I think the experience would have been even better if it had a continuous mist spray, as it makes it much easier to get an even layer of product all over the hair. Now I experienced the spray hitting in spots, so I had to spend a bit more time distributing it. After the hair was styled, I was happy with the result, but I noticed one thing the next day. My hair felt greasier than usual. Usually, I can go almost a week without washing my hair before it starts to look greasy, but already the day after use, I noticed a hint of greasy hair. Since my hair usually stays clean for a long time, this difference was quite clear to me, and unfortunately, it detracts quite a bit. That said, I still think this is a good product. The scent is great, and the product did what it was supposed to during heat styling. Smuuti skin SPF 50
Tested the Smuuti Peach Sun Cushion for a few weeks and have mixed vibes about it. I like the texture, but I wasn’t a big fan of the Cushion setup itself. Applying sunscreen with a cushion just wasn’t really my thing. However, it’s nice to bring on trips since it’s small and has a mirror inside, so that’s a plus!
