Nothing special
In the battle between all the different leave-in products, this one unfortunately loses with flying colors, at least in my bathroom shelf. It falls a bit in between since it’s not heat-protective, doesn’t give volume or particularly much moisture. There’s only so much you want to slap into your hair after a shower? I received this as #lykoinflutester and tried it for the first few weeks along with the shampoo and conditioner from the same line, but after a couple of weeks I stopped - I got the desired effect from the hair wash and wanted to prioritize other products after washing, plain and simple. This didn’t make any difference, if anything, maybe leaning towards the negative. My hair became a bit drier than usual, or maybe frizzy as several others have mentioned. That can be positive if you struggle with styling holding, but I don’t need that in my hair. I’d rather have more moisturizing leave-in, or heat protection. Smells good, spreads nicely in the hair, but as mentioned, not something I need in my routine unfortunately. I have used this conditioner along with shampoo and leave-in spray from the same series about once a week for a month, and I noticed a clear difference after the first use. I supplemented with other products for the other hair washes, as it is not recommended to use this every time. The hair can become both gray and dry. My hair is brown, but highlighted/bleached, and can quickly turn orange and yellow in tone. I felt this significantly removed a lot of it after just one wash, without me having to leave it unnecessarily long in my hair. I am not a patient person when it comes to masks and similar, so the product usually doesn't get more time than it takes to clean the shower or possibly shave (😅). Max a couple of minutes, in other words. The hair was well moisturized and the yellow and orange color was toned down, and the hair became generally much cooler in tone. I forgot to take a picture, but I will try to do it when the contrast is again possibly large - now I have used this for a while :( The only negative I have to mention is the consistency. It is very runny, so runny that I considered asking if there was something wrong with the products I received - but I see that there are several with the same experience, so it is as it should be. This makes it a bit harder to apply, I think, so better to take a little at a time in several rounds. I use it after cleansing shampoo, followed by the shampoo in the same series, before I finish with either conditioner or hair mask. I brush through easily with a brush in the shower when the conditioner is in, to spread it well and get an even tone - my light hair is mainly in the length and not in the scalp. I don't think this provides enough moisture, and therefore I have to use a mask or another conditioner afterwards, but then the result is good. Didn’t notice a big difference before and after
I tried the silver refine series from waterclouds and was very skeptical about it from the start, as I have damaged my hair a lot in the past by applying way too much purple shampoo that ruined my hair. I should mention that my hair back then was over-bleached and damaged. I was pleasantly surprised by the conditioner, but unfortunately this spray did nothing for my hair. I definitely didn’t see a difference before and after applying the spray. It smelled incredibly good, which was a plus for me. Lots of pigments
I have always been terrified of using products with purple pigments as I have damaged my hair over time after application - I should mention that my hair back then was over-bleached and damaged. My hair now is not as damaged as it was back then, but I prefer to avoid applying purple shampoo as they are often very strong, waterclouds is no exception when it comes to pigments. You don’t need to use much of the conditioner before you notice it settling in the hair strands - but be very careful with how long you leave the conditioner in, as it can quickly turn purple and not gray as the product advertises. I am a bit disappointed that there was little moisture in the conditioner, I wish it didn’t leave my hair dry after application. But all in all, it does the job, it neutralizes the yellow pigments in the hair and you get cooler tones which is nice if that’s what you want. A lovely silver shampoo that perfectly complements the shampoo from the same series. Gives a clear result, so you have to be a bit careful not to leave the conditioner in too long if the hair is newly bleached, so it doesn't turn too purple. 💜 Smells incredibly good and fresh! And has a lovely consistency. Fun with something new!
I got the chance to test this exciting product via #lykoinflutester, and I've been doing so for about the last month. It's a highlight treatment that comes from the Swedish brand Waterclouds, and I've tried it along with the shampoo and conditioner in the same silver series. I naturally have dark blonde hair, dyed to quite light blonde, and I have long hair that is typically Scandinavian in texture. Sensitive scalp at times, but not right now. I was excited to test this product because I've never seen anything like it before, and if it exists, I certainly haven't tested it. It's a leave-in spray in a pump bottle of 150 ml that you can use on dry or damp hair. It is supposed to brighten warm tones in blonde hair, provide moisture, shine, and softness, and counteract static electricity (!). Sounds like something perfect for me, very exciting! I've mainly used the products in this series together, but I've also tested them individually to evaluate properly. I've used this highlight treatment product on damp hair after I've showered. It doesn't make the hair easier to detangle, rather the opposite, but this is a side note since it's not made for that. It smells very good and fresh and somewhat salon-like, I think. It is light purple in color, I don't think it brightens much in itself but possibly neutralizes yellow tones a little (yes, I think so)! When it has dried in, the hair feels almost a bit coarse, but that's something I've actually liked because my hair is naturally so slippery and shiny, so it gave a bit of hold to it. I give it 4.2 stars out of 5 possible, plus points for smelling so good and for being an exciting and interesting product. Minus points for being a bit tame, but on the other hand, more pigment might have made it look patchy in the hair. Silver Refine Highlight Treatment
I have been so lucky to receive Waterclouds' purple series 💜 It is one of my favorite brands, and I was completely converted the last time I tried one of their products. A little quick info: I have a hairdressing background and fully bleached, thick hair. My hair is very dry, damaged, and porous as a result of the bleaching. My hair quality is currently extremely poor due to exams and a lot of other stress. This leave-in spray has become a new favorite in my kit. Here's how I use the product: 1. Spray on dry hair – start with a small amount and gradually increase. 2. Comb the product through the hair for even distribution. 3. Blow-dry the hair. This helps the hair absorb the nourishing ingredients better while the pigments distribute more evenly. It also makes the hair feel non-greasy after use. The result is significantly softer hair, less frizz, and a light, nice toning of yellow pigments. And it smells so good! A mistake many make with purple products at home is that they often are not thorough, or they are done in 1-2 minutes. It is important to think of this as a treatment. Take your time, don’t rush anything. If you do, you will be rewarded with good results, making the product worth every penny. The conditioner has been used in conjunction with the shampoo in the same series. This was my method for achieving the result in my after picture; 1. Take a bit of your own shampoo, this is to remove grease and dirt - but most importantly, open the cuticles of the hair before you add pigments. 2. Take the purple shampoo in your hand and work it a bit with it/foam it up. This is so that the shampoo doesn’t become too concentrated where you first hit the hair, thus avoiding purple spots. 3. Work the shampoo WELL in, make sure to cover everything and apply plenty of product where you see it’s needed. 4. Rinse out and add the purple conditioner in the same series. 5. After you feel you have worked the conditioner well in, and have achieved an even application - wait 10-15 min. Perfect time to do your other shower routines! 6. Do not rinse out, but add your own conditioner and work it in. Wait 2-3 min. 7. Rinse out. Voila! The conditioner contains lots of pigments and has a lovely shimmer to it. My only negative feedback is that the conditioner foamed and that it didn’t feel nourishing. BUT, the conditioner really did its job when it came to "blocking in" the last pigments. I could see a massive difference in my hair in the shower. If you have bleached hair, you need to finish with something nourishing. And even though this wasn’t it, it felt like this was the star of the duo. There was no problem finishing with my own conditioner, and the result was a real WOW factor. I have highlighted hair that easily pulls yellow if I don't maintain it with some form of silver product.❄️ I find that this leave-in spray is good & smells fresh. It possibly makes the hair a bit softer but not more than that. I have had the honor of testing this silver conditioner from #waterclouds that #lykoinflutester🧖🏼♀️ I have highlighted hair that easily pulls yellow if I don't maintain it with some kind of silver product. I love the scent of this, not too much, just a fresh scent. I would recommend using this together with another shampoo if you just want to achieve a slightly cooler tone. I found that if you used the shampoo & conditioner together, it turned out very purple/gray. As a #lykoinflutester I had the honor of testing this silver refine series. To start with, the packaging is very nice. It looks good in the shower 😍. Something I also like is the scent, it smells fresh but not too much. Now to what I found a bit boring. However, this series is new to me. ☔️ This leave-in treatment is easy to apply from the bottle, and the scent is mild, which is great if you don’t like strong fragrances. The product is lightly pigmented, but since the shampoo and conditioner really tone down and neutralize warm tones in the hair, I honestly don’t know if you need this on top. ☔️ I am currently not as blonde as I usually am but have blonde highlights in my hair. Here I have tested their conditioner that is supposed to neutralize warm tones and enhance cool tones while making the hair soft. ☔️ I should mention that I really like Waterclouds and have used their products before and been super satisfied. This series is, however, new to me. ☔️ The conditioner is very runny and ran out of the packaging way too quickly. And the scent is mild, but it had a sour undertone that I didn’t like. It’s a strongly pigmented conditioner that really dampens and neutralizes warm tones in the hair when used with the shampoo. So it worked well. ☔️ I am currently not as blonde as I usually am but have blonde highlights in my hair. I really feel that the warm tones that always come back in bleached hair become cooler and more neutral after use. CONCLUSION! Waterclouds Silver Refine Conditioner dampens the warm and yellow tones in bleached hair well, and it gets better after repeated treatments. I really like Waterclouds, but for me, this conditioner was not a winner. My hair became a bit straw-like and static and didn’t feel sufficiently cared for even though the conditioner is supposed to nourish and combat static electricity. This silver conditioner is very pigmented and liquid in consistency. Reminds me of a shampoo. Very easy to distribute in the hair. The color becomes even and nice. I feel like it doesn't provide as much care as a regular conditioner. But the hair is still easy to comb. Especially with the leave-in spray from the same series. Fun to try different brands of silver shampoo. Noticed a big difference in the color after 1 use of this shampoo. Very nice cool color. Took evenly and nicely throughout the hair. A little (literally) new mission!
Today I received my new Lyko influtester package, and this time there wasn't much to test, vilymmäßigt. Or there were three different products, as usual, but two of them are in a one-pack, so I can't test them directly for four weeks 😋 The brand Verso is known as a trustworthy and good brand in my world, and even though the items can't be tested daily, I will of course take on the task with engagement and interest as usual! It's a box with 30 pairs (60 pcs) of Energizing eye patches, a single pack/a pair of Retinoate eye patches, and a Hydro soothing mask. It's a bit of a shame that it wasn't the other way around in the variety with the patch counts since retinol products are not expected to make a difference with one use… it would have been better to be able to test more frequently. I have tried this product from #lykoinflutester together with #waterclouds and here are my thoughts! First, when I saw that it was waterclouds that I would be trying products from, I was happy, it’s a brand I really like already! ✨ I’m not entirely sure what I think about this product. The purpose of the spray feels a bit unnecessary if you already have a silver shampoo in your routine. This doesn’t have a big effect, but I think it feels fresh and lovely when you style your hair with it. It smells good and feels a bit nourishing without weighing it down. However, there are other products I would prefer to use. And since this doesn’t give a big silver effect in my hair, it feels like a bit of an unnecessary product for me.
