Pretty okay
I have tested NYX's Hair And Body Fragrance Mist and think the product is pretty okay. The packaging design is simple and bright pink, which I think can seem a bit cheap and childish. Unfortunately, this is not quite my style. The packaging is also made of hard plastic, which gives a feeling of a cheap product. The spray mechanism itself is good, and the bottle feels comfortable in the hand during use. The spray also provides an even and light distribution of the product when applied. The scent is strongly vanilla, but it can fade a bit upon application. The scent also doesn't last very long, so you often need to reapply several times to get a lasting fragrance. I like to use mist when I work out, and for that this one is very good. Unfortunately, I feel the scent is too sweet to use otherwise in everyday life. Fragrance that lasts!
✨ I have, as #lykoinflutester, had the chance to try the Hair & Body Fragrance Mist from #nyx Professional Makeup in the scent Caramelt Mami! ✨ If you like sweet, warm scents, this is definitely one to check out. Caramel Mami smells like a soft mix of caramel, pistachio, and creamy gourmand notes. Very cozy and perfect for fall/winter. I find the mist feels light and nice upon application. The spray distributes evenly and doesn’t feel wet or heavy, neither in the hair nor on the body. This makes it easy to use for a quick refresh during the day. At first spray, I initially thought the scent was plastic-like and not pleasant at all, but after a while on the skin, the scent develops softly and warmly and becomes really nice! The longevity on the skin is great, and I find it lasts even longer in the hair. It doesn’t have the same intensity as a perfume, but that’s also the charm! It feels more relaxed and easy to wear. This is a typical “you want to spray more” product, precisely because it’s so pleasant and easy to wear. It also works well layered with body butter and body oil for a longer-lasting scent. I have tested NYX's Fat Oil Body Butter in the scent Suga Baddie, and I think the product is pretty good. The product has a simple design with a bright pink color. Unfortunately, this design seems a bit cheap and childish in my opinion, and it's not quite my style. Fortunately, the jar makes it very easy to get all the product out of the container, which is a plus! The scent is quite strong with vanilla, but gives a pleasant and lasting fragrance when applied. The product is quite creamy and oily in consistency, which makes it very ideal to use on dry areas like shins, elbows, and similar. I would advise against using the product on areas that are less dry, as this can lead to clogged pores and pimples. Overall, it is a very good product, and the cream is absolutely brilliant for extra dry skin! Perfect for parties!
✨ As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try Fat Oil Body Oil from #nyx Professional Makeup in the scent Caramelt Mami! ✨ The first thing that stands out with this is the glow, and we’re really talking glow here! The oil gives the skin a lot of radiance and contains quite a bit of shimmer that is clearly visible on the skin. The oil is also tinted, with a warm terracotta brown color, which actually shows on the skin. So if you have lighter skin, you can expect a little "tan" effect! (A very light and cool skin tone probably wouldn’t appreciate it) The scent is the same lovely Caramelt Mami as in the rest of the series: warm, sweet, and gourmand with clear caramel notes and a creamy feel that makes it really cozy to use. I find the oil neither too thick nor too light in consistency, but it spreads nicely on the skin without feeling too heavy or sticky. The skin feels soft and looks moisturized right after application. But if you don’t like "oily" body oils, beware! What’s worth mentioning, though, is that the shimmer is much more intense than I expected, especially in the sun where it sparkles a lot. For me, that makes it feel less like an everyday product and more like something you use when you want to stand out a bit! I therefore think it’s better suited for parties, nights out, vacations, or summer events when you want that extra glowy and almost glamorous look on arms, legs, or décolleté. If you’re wearing light clothes, I’d also let the product set a bit before dressing. I made the mistake of wearing a white top while applying, and the oil transferred a little. It was easy to remove right away, but I later noticed it stopped transferring to clothes after it had set for a while. Good but not wow!
I've tested this heat protectant for a few weeks and I have mixed feelings about it! My hair is curly, tired, damaged but very fluffy and volume is not lacking! I always use heat protectant together with other products right after showering, but also heat protectant on dry hair as soon as a heat tool comes out! 🌝 Nice scent that is quite neutral but gives a fresh scent that is not strong at all! 🌝 I think the spray is okay, maybe a bit too focused/strong but better that than it coming out as a mist and wasting product! 🌝 My hair feels smoother and fuller when I use this on wet hair and blow-dry it in! 🌝 Incredibly good price, I am a big fan of By Lyko and think their products always deliver despite the cheap price! What lowers the rating is that I don't think it works that well on dry hair, it's not so bad that the hair sticks together but still a slight feeling of it. It also says on it that it should be used on wet hair and blow-dried in, so of course I keep that in mind! But I, who often want to let my hair air dry (mostly out of laziness), want to be able to use my heat protectant on dry hair with the same nice result. When blow-dried into wet hair - it fulfills everything it claims to do! When used on dry hair - not quite as spot on and the hair feels like you want to wash it after a day! Really good budget flat iron!
This incredibly cute flat iron has been tested the past few weeks and I am very fond of it! The nice pink color, the long cord, the fast heating, and the great result for (in my eyes) a really cheap price is so good! I usually use GHD’s flat iron and of course it’s tough to compare with that, BUT for the price difference it still holds up really well! And I still have almost a lion’s mane when I let my hair air dry and it handles my hair brilliantly, just with a bit more patience! If you manage to get through the whole video, you’ll see before, flat ironed, a little giggle, and then curled hair with the final result called VOLUME! 🌸 It has many heat settings so you can get what you want, I always want it on max! 🌸 It’s light and comfortable to hold! 🌸 It’s really good for curling hair, it’s incredibly handy and the curls really turn out so nice! 🌸 Long cord and fast heating! However, I don’t think it’s as sharp when I just want to straighten my hair, of course a matter of getting used to but the plates are relatively small and I feel like I need to repeat 2-3 times to get it completely straight. A dream of a straightener!
It’s easy to use, has an on/off button as well as a small display where you can see and set the temperature. I didn’t notice that at first, so it was a pleasant surprise! It blinks until it reaches the set temperature and is very easy to adjust. The straightener itself has a good length cord, which makes it easy to use wherever the outlet is. Hooray! I often feel cords are too short, so that’s a big plus. The result is smooth hair that doesn’t require multiple passes per section. Gentle straightening we like! Last but not least, the look. GORGEOUS 🌸 It comes in a pretty pink box you can store it in or use as a lovely gift box if you give it as a present. When a product description has the words “balm spray, fights frizz, adds lots of shine” there are high expectations and potential full cheer from me. With previously bleached (now dyed) hair, my hair screams for anti-frizz and moisture. On paper, this is the perfect product for me. I have been so lucky to test LYKO’s own straightener🌸 I want to start by saying that my hair quality is extremely poor. I haven’t cut my hair in over 2 years and have treated it very badly. My hair is very stiff after several rounds of bleaching and tangles easily. When using this straightener, I also used LYKO’s Heat Protection Spray accordingly! (lyko.com/no/by-lyko/lyko-beat-the-heat-200-ml2) First impression is that it comes in a very cute packaging and color🌸 You can adjust the temperature on the device from 120 to 220 degrees inside. I set mine to 180 degrees and wanted to show that you don’t need the max temperature to achieve the desired result. The heating also felt fast. It went great to straighten my hair! I also tested making a few curls with it, and it worked well. But I wish it came with a heat-protective glove for this, since the straightener can get hot. Overall a good straightener🌸 I wish the package also included a small heat-protective mat/container that you can safely place the straightener on during styling and after for cooling down. This Hair & Body Mist from NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP had a PERFECT spray/spray 🌟 Love when the application is good and not too centered!! Beyond expectations! As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this wonderfully beautiful flat iron from #bylyko 🩷 I, the tester, have thin, blonde highlighted, frizzy Nordic hair. It comes in packaging that feels very high-end and luxurious for its price. It’s easy to get started with, heats up quickly to the desired level, which is adjusted very easily and smoothly with buttons. It’s clearly lit up to show which heat setting you’re using. Besides being cute and smooth in design, it’s equipped with a generously long cord, which is appreciated! 👌🏼 I’m not an experienced flat iron user, I must admit, but I’ve long considered getting one! I want to quickly and smoothly get rid of all my frizz, and currently I use a heated brush for that, which takes time. Moisturizing body butter
This body butter from NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP felt very moisturizing on the skin, which in my opinion is the most important thing with this type of bodycare🌟 At first, I often think body butters and body lotions can smell a bit special before they have absorbed into the skin. As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try this heat-protective spray from #bylyko 💛 I have thin, blonde highlighted hair that is frizzy and damaged. The product comes in a fresh yellow bottle that is easy to spray out of. However, sometimes the spray is a bit too strong in spots; I would prefer it to be a bit more “misty,” but that’s the only negative thing I find about the product. The scent is great 💛 It leans a bit fruity, fresh, and mild. Not too sweet or sticky! The hair feels pleasant after spraying it in and letting it dry. When using a heat tool with the product in, it can feel a bit stiff while cooling down, but as soon as you brush through it, it’s just shiny and lovely ⭐️ I don’t use heat tools daily, and when I do, I use the lowest heat setting to protect my hair, but during the test period, I definitely used heat tools much more than usual, and I don’t feel like my hair has become more damaged or worn out than usual. I have been so lucky to test LYKO's own Heat Protection Spray 🌻 I want to start by saying that my hair quality is extremely poor. I haven't cut my hair in over 2 years and have treated it very badly. Great value for money!
I’ve been lucky enough to test a straightener from Lyko’s own brand. The straightener promises quick heating, has an on/off button, and automatic shut-off after 30 minutes. I’ve tried many straighteners over the last 20 years, and in recent years I’ve used the Steampod from L’Oréal and a straightener from GHD. So I have high demands and expectations for what a straightener should do for my hair. My own hair is typically Nordic, with waves/fall in the hair. The straightener comes in a cute pink box, and the straightener itself is also light pink. It has a cord that adjusts depending on how you hold the straightener, which makes it easier to curl your hair with it. It heats up quickly and has a nice panel where you set the desired temperature. It’s light in the hand, and I easily get beach waves and more defined curls in my hair without the straightener leaving “notches” in the hair. The curls last a long time with the right temperature setting for my hair, and I’m simply very impressed with the product you get for the price. So, here you get so much for your money that it’s almost ridiculous. If you buy now during the campaign, you get it for 300 kr! Run and buy if you need a light and simple straightener on a budget and have Nordic hair type! This has now been with me on vacation in Greece for a week and has worked perfectly! It’s hard to assess the effectiveness of the heat protection because how can you tell if it actually protects the hair or not? Anyway, if we ignore the functional part (assuming it works), unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this product. I expected the spray bottle to produce a sort of mist that would spread evenly through the hair with each spray, but in reality, it was more like a squirt… I ended up spraying the product into my hands and then applying it to my hair. On the positive side, the scent of the product is quite pleasant! As a neutral comment, I didn’t notice much difference in the hair’s appearance or feel during use compared to a competing product. Need to keep testing
Lyko's Smooth Operator looks cute, but does it do its job? I tried the straightener for about a week. In my experience, the positives of the product are its ease of use, the long cord, and the many different heat settings to choose from. I naturally have wavy hair that doesn’t stay straight. So I mainly started by trying to curl just the ends and bangs at first. The experience with the straightener was great! It glided smoothly through the hair and curled it well. I tried 180 degrees in the video, but maybe a hotter temperature would have made the effect last longer. My hair didn’t keep the same look for very long. I had used styling mousse, heat protection spray, and quality hairspray, but in the humid summer weather, the curl wouldn’t hold. Indoors, the styling definitely lasts better, and of course, it also depends on the products. Not quite convinced
I'm still trying this out, but I'm not quite convinced yet. It's supposed to be a multi-product and can be used alone as a highlighter, mixed into foundation, or as a base on the whole face for a nice glow. I don't think it's optimal for any of these purposes yet, but maybe I haven't "cracked the code". For me, it's way too glittery to use on the whole face – the particles are too big? It works fine as a highlighter, but beyond that, I'm still a bit skeptical. I've used Dior Show's liquid highlighter for this purpose before, and I have to say I still prefer it. The particles in that one are smaller and therefore give a more natural glow. Maybe it's just me not liking it being too glowy, but that's at least my experience so far. I'll test it a bit more this summer on more golden skin to see if that helps. Still good
I actually think the product should have gotten a new profile page now that the formulation has changed so much, but the product is still good. I have used All Nighter for many years, but the version produced by Scandinavia. Since they did not want to renew this agreement, they now produce All Nighter themselves – without knowing the original recipe that everyone liked for so many years (if you want the original, it is now sold under Skindinavia, so it still exists under a new brand). It should be said that I was somewhat skeptical about the new version because, based on experience, such transitions are not usually very good. This time I am not disappointed; I think the spray holds the makeup well even today. The biggest difference is not just the design but also the type of mist – it has gone from what I would have called a spray before to a mist today, so I have to apply it more times than before and closer to the face. However, less product comes out with each application now than before, so overall I don’t know how much that matters. It also smells different, but I wouldn’t say bad. The makeup stays on as well as before, but I experience that it moisturizes more, the skin doesn’t get as dry. I still get a bit shiny in the T-zone (I didn’t get that much with the previous formulation), so that’s what makes the product maybe not as good as before. But again, the ingredients are better for skin quality now, so overall it’s “same same” in my eyes. This is an expensive setting spray, so I don’t always buy this one. It is economical to use, but at the same time, there are now several sprays on the market that do the job. That’s why I don’t give 5 stars. Could be a bit cheaper.
