Perfect for the Baby Shower
I have received this kit from #estelleandthild as #lykoinflutester #bylyko, and here comes my honest review! The kit feels perfect to give as a gift to an expecting or new parent! The toiletry bag is super nice and the perfect size! It will have many uses, for example for baby swimming! The blankets are very soft and the hairbrush is super gentle! The baby wash feels very mild and pleasant, and the baby oil has been used both for the pregnant belly and my children after showering. I find it fragrance-free and moisturizing, and even though I can agree that a different lid would have been more convenient, I actually think the lid is very practical and spill-proof if you are on the go, for example at the swimming pool, and want to be sure that all the packing doesn’t get oiled. Melts away the dirt
I have, as a #lykoinflutester, had the chance to try a bunch of products from #no7. Next up for review is the Glow grind cleansing balm, a cleansing balm with vitamin C and squalane. It’s supposed to deeply cleanse and care for the skin, and I really think it does. It literally melts away all makeup without leaving any residue. The skin is left hydrated and clean. The texture is a bit funny, straight from the jar it comes out as a balm, but in contact with the skin it melts into a milky texture, and it feels incredibly pleasant on the skin. The product comes in a jar with a screw lid, you twist the lid and strips of the balm come out. Kind of like a cheese slicer inside 😝. The only negative is that it’s very hard to twist the jar open to get the product out. You have to really grip it, and if your hands are a bit wet, it’s even harder. Cool product
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test three products from #no7. Now it's time for a review of the Calm fix soothing pads. These pads are soaked with Cica extract and Niacinamide, which are supposed to soothe and hydrate the skin and should be used after cleansing but before other products. I find it nice to use these; it's a fun step in my routine, but I can't really say I notice any difference in my skin, maybe a bit more hydrated but unfortunately not more than that. The pads are well soaked with product, which is positive; one pad is enough for face, neck, and décolleté. The jar is quite large with a snap lid, which is convenient, but it's hard to store the jar nicely because of its size. Inside the jar, there is a plastic tweezer meant to help pick out a pad; the tweezer is flimsy and not very sturdy, so it's hard to use it—it tends to bend, so I end up picking up a pad with my fingers instead. Great products for mom and baby
My youngest child and I have had the chance to test the Gentle Care Baby kit from Estelle & Thild. In a lovely toiletry bag, you get a soft hairbrush, washcloth, cleansing soap, and body oil. The body oil can be used by both mom and baby, and I think it’s great to use on a growing belly for mom. We have used the soap to wash face, hands, and feet morning and evening. It is mild, fragrance-free, and long-lasting. The hairbrush is incredibly soft and comfortable. I believe most small children will accept being brushed with this. I think the washcloth is perfect when bathing the baby; it’s large and can be dipped in warm water and placed over the baby’s belly so he stays nice and warm during the bath. My youngest child has a bit of dry skin, especially on the arms. He had some bumps and was scratching them a bit. We have used the oil on the arms for 1.5 weeks now and notice good improvement. The bumps have decreased, and the skin is softer and probably itches less. A new favorite and a regular part of our morning/evening routine. As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try three products from #no7. And now it's time for the review. First up is Skin sip Moisture milk, which is supposed to hydrate and give radiance, it is enriched with hyaluronic acid and squalane, which my skin also loves. The texture is like a lightly flowing milky toner, I was a bit confused when I saw it and had to double-check if it was a toner I had received, but no. I love this one, it absorbs easily and really hydrates deeply. I think my skin looks fresher and more glowing when I use it. It also doesn't clash with my other skincare products. I have been so lucky to test #no7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm for a few lovely weeks now. The product is packed in a box where you have to twist the box for the product to become visible. It creates thin strips of product so you don't have to dip your finger into a jar, like with other similar products. This twisting mechanism is a bit hard/difficult to get to work, but the idea is good. The cleansing balm is soft and melts easily into the skin. It smells clean and not too much💕 It's easy to work the product into the skin to remove makeup, but it takes a little time. I don't find that this dries out my skin, something I often feel when using cleansers. So this is a big plus for me. All in all, I am satisfied with the product, it works as it should and leaves the skin clean. I've been using Hair Syrup Honey Dew for a while now, and here are my honest thoughts. First of all: it smells really like honey. It's a distinct scent, but I actually like it a lot – it feels warm and pleasant, but maybe a bit strong🍯 I've tested the oil in both wet and dry hair, and what I appreciate the most is that my hair doesn't get static anymore. I struggle a lot with static hair in the winter, and this is one of the few products that has actually helped😍 The only downside for me is that my hair can look a bit greasy after application, both in wet and dry hair. I received this No7 Good Intent Skin Sip Moisture Milkin for testing from Lyko. 💚 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I expect a lot from the toner; I usually have to layer multiple times, as my skin absorbs the first layers of toner immediately. 🌵 Milky toners have been my favorites this past winter, even though dabbing them on with my hands is a bit more cumbersome than in spray form. I received No7's Good Intent Calm Fix Soothing Pads to test from Lyko. 🩷 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I have used similar products a bit, but they tend to end up forgotten at the back of the cupboard. How did these pads perform? 🧐 The product's pink packaging is definitely not a minus for me. 😉💕 The included tweezers, however, are just as useful as nothing: they don't fit in my hand and keep falling off the lid of the pads. Only very few facial cleansers do not cause my skin to feel tight and dry after washing. I have been so lucky to have tested this from #estellethild as #lykoinflutester for a few weeks. I have a son who just turned 4 who has been the one doing the actual testing 😜 The toiletry bag is super cute! Big plus that it’s for both genders and not typically pink/blue. It has good space and is practical with a zipper. It’s soft too! The first thing we tested was the baby wash. It lathers nicely and did the job, I think. I got to test the Estelle & Thild Gentle Care Baby Kit for my 8-month-old baby, and I am so glad for that choice! Exciting look where one has chosen to also focus on the area around the mouth and not made a hole for it. Has practical rubber shields around the eyes to protect them further. A cool design that has a start program of 12 minutes which first has a red light for 4 minutes, then red + infrared for 4 minutes, and finally a blue light for 4 minutes. You can also choose to start any of the programs yourself and customize according to your needs. Has a massage for the scalp which I didn't quite buy since it's only on the side just above the ears. Each part focuses on a specific area that is supposed to optimize the appearance of the skin. A charge lasts about 2 weeks with every other day use. It charges with a Lightning c-cable, which only the cable is included, not the plug. I find it a bit heavy, have walked around with it and think it gets too heavy. But sitting still makes the use more pleasant. Should give visible effects after 12 weeks of regular use, and I haven't had the opportunity to do that during the test, but I feel it adds glow and firmness to my skin. These pads are really easy to use, and it makes you actually want to be consistent, which is really half the battle with skincare. I use them 2-3 times a week in the evening after cleansing, and let my skin have "rest days" in between. It also says that they shouldn't necessarily be used every day, and that makes sense because the skin needs time to recover between exfoliations. This is more like a hybrid between toner and lotion, which I actually really like. The consistency is super light and almost watery, but not too runny, more like a slightly thicker “milk” that is easy to work with. This surprised me a bit. I expected a pretty standard cleansing balm, but this one actually has a bit of "personality". The consistency is firm in the jar, but as soon as you work it between your fingers, it melts quickly and becomes an oily, silky-smooth texture that is very pleasant to massage into the skin. It dissolves makeup and sunscreen, I especially noticed that even mascara comes off quite quickly. It doesn't feel like you have to "work" to get your skin clean, it does the job for you. Afterwards, the skin feels soft and calm, not tight or dry.💧 BUT, and here we have to be honest, it can leave a little "film" if you just rinse it off. For me, it worked best to use a damp cloth or go in with a light cleanser afterwards. As #lykoinflutester I got to test the TheraFace Mask from #therabody👹 This is a mask that combines LED therapy with 504 LED lights & Massaging vibration therapy in one mask. It is made of hard silicone with 2 Velcro straps to secure around the face/head. It charges with USB-C, and the built-in battery (there is no box or separate battery/cable/remote control) lasts maybe for about 4 full treatments🔋 It should be noted that I chose not to use their vibration therapy, hence the battery lasts longer. First, a few comments on the quality of the hardware: 🔨 I have two masks before that are called Silk’n LED EMS Face Mask (3,200 kr/243 LED lights) & CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial (5,999 kr/360 high-quality LED lights for optimal effect), so I will use them as a bit of comparison. My previous masks are made of flexible silicone, while this one is made of hard plastic. So the fit around the face I think is a bit worse on this one from TheraFace. Also, it doesn’t have holes for either mouth or nose. This doesn’t make it in any way difficult to breathe, I want to point out, but it can feel a bit "constricted". In comparison, CurrentBody has holes for the mouth (& nose) so you can drink while wearing it, while the Silk’n mask only has a hole for the nose. The Velcro straps can be adjusted on the head and also around, this makes it sit well on and you can move around however you want with it on. However, I found it annoying that it wasn’t really possible to have my hair up or in a hair clip because they cross each other like a cross behind the head. But if you let go of one strap, it works reasonably well. This mask has 2 small buttons on each side of the mask, one adjusts the vibration therapy and the other starts/adjusts different programs for LED therapy. ➖ I also think it sat a bit like that around the eyes/nose before I figured out how to put it on my face. So at first, I got a little "imprint" from that. ➖ I can say that I don’t use the vibration therapy at all, tried it 2 times but I just found it made me dizzy and absolutely did not relax haha. It just vibrated at the temples, there is nothing scientific behind "vibration therapy" and nothing I think really fits into this product (or something you should pay "extra" for, I think). ➕ The biggest plus here I would say is that there is no cord or heavy battery/box with it! 👌 So I don’t have to put anything in my bra or always sit still or have pockets on me, big plus (though I notice that the battery suffers from this as I need to charge my 2 other masks half as often). I have only run the 12-minute program that automatically switches between the lights to get the full effect of all the mask's lights. 👌 I like that it has the option to run all "lights" but also that you can choose between the different "lights". 💡 The different wavelengths are: -Red Light: 633 ± 10nm, - Infrared Light: 830 ± 10nm, - Blue light: 415 ± 10nm, For comparison: 🧩 CurrentBody Skin LED 4-in-1 Zone Facial: Red (633nm), deep red (660nm), near-infrared light (NIR) (830nm) yellow (590nm) & green (525nm) 🧩 Silk’n LED EMS Face Mask: Red (633nm) + Dark red (660nm) + Near-infrared (830nm) + Deep Near-infrared (1072nm) & Amber (605nm) (Blue (405nm): But the blue LED lamp is integrated into the remote control) 💡 This has 504 LED lights with Red 633nm & Infrared Light: 830 nm wavelength, which is really good! 🧬 These wavelengths are the most researched that are supposed to give the best results! So that’s a big plus! ➕ 🔬 And that research shows that combining red and NIR is best, and you can do that with this👍 (💡 For more description/info regarding wavelengths & research on this, read my review on the mask from Silk’n; lyko.com/sv/silkn/silk-n-led-ems-face-mask). ❗ My results:❗ Unfortunately, since I have used LED masks for several years consistently and also the masks have almost exactly the same "effect" (wavelengths), I don’t see any direct difference/result from this. BUT I would absolutely recommend this! Partly because of the price, which is actually really good for how many wavelengths & lights you get, and partly because you avoid cords. ♥️ I firmly believe that LED masks work, and there is a lot of research that supports it that can be read, BUT then you also have to use it about every other day, I would say. 🪄 But if you are a skincare nerd like me, who absolutely uses my mask at least once a day, then I definitely think this is worth investing in! Just keep in mind that results take time! ⚠️ And if you have rosacea, be careful as NIR light can trigger this. Also, such masks don’t do magic! Use sunscreen and other skincare to get the best results.
