Poor Pigmentation
The blush caught me right away with its nice natural color, a shade that really looks like a color for me. The packaging is also top-notch, sturdy, pretty, and feels well thought out from start to finish. I'm more into the neutral toned shades when it comes to blush and don't want any loud pink colors. 💕 Unfortunately, the product doesn't live up to expectations. The pigmentation is really weak, so I have to go in with the brush several times to get any effect at all. Sooooo pretty blush
I got to test Make up Store's Iconic Luster Blush via lyko influtester and I am really so impressed! Already at the first application, the silky formula is noticeable as it glides easily over the skin and melts in effortlessly. It is said to have an innovative hybrid texture that is a powder with a creamy feel, which I absolutely think is noticeable and makes the blush feel luxurious and incredibly easy to work with. The result is a smooth, buildable finish that stays fresh all day without settling into lines or feeling powdery. Fantastic bronzer
I got to test the Iconic Glow Bronzer from Lyko influtesters and I am so incredibly happy with it!! It’s a real hit for anyone who wants to give their skin a warm, sun-kissed tone without it looking made up. It has a hybrid formula that is a powder with a creamy, silky feel that melts into the skin instantly. It applies evenly and has a naturally warm glow that can easily be built up from a subtle glow to more defined bronzing. And I really think it stays in place all day without getting patchy. I use it in 20 terracotta and have quite a light skin tone which I think works well! The only thing I’ve noticed for me and my skin tone is that it can get a bit orange-toned if you build it up too much, so I use it more casually than for parties. An amazing product
Iconic Radiance Highlighter is a true gem in Make Up Store's new makeup collection! Highlighters should be a mix between powder and cream, and I really think it shows how it melts into the skin and gives a seamless, silky finish. It provides a natural, elegant glow that stays fresh all day. I especially appreciate how easy it is to build up without becoming powdery or glittery; you can even use it as eyeshadow if you want extra sparkle, which I have done! Dream Coat throw yourself against the wall
I don't even know if I dare to say this, but could it be that this one does the job just as well as the very hyped dream coat? 🫣 My hair usually gets frizzy as soon as I step outside the door like this for years, to the point that not even dream coat usually helps. But this one leaves my hair shiny and nice all day! I am very impressed! I love that it's a Swedish brand, that holds up to 220 degrees and that it, besides heat protection and UV protection, is also enriched with caring ingredients! There seem to be mixed opinions about the scent, and I agree that it smells a lot, but for me it disappears as soon as I style my hair. It leans a bit towards the masculine side in scent, but not so much that I would say it smells like men's perfume. I think it smells good! Pretty okay, a bit hard to apply in the right place
The brush has long, sparse, and incredibly soft bristles, along with a handle that has a really lovely weight. The overall feel is luxurious and well thought out. I like the colors. The fact that the brush is so airy makes it a bit difficult to control the application if you're not very light-handed. I feel like the brush spreads the product a bit wider than I want, especially for the bronzer that I want to have control over. It works better for blush that is patted in than for the bronzer that I apply with sweeping motions. When you take the time, you can achieve a very soft and “airbrushed” result, but that requires being very light-handed. In summary, this is a brush of high quality and luxurious feel, but it requires a light hand and a bit of patience. Good for you if you like a natural, blended finish. Takes a little longer – but gives a really nice and professional glow
When I open the packaging, I immediately get a luxurious feeling. The brush has a solid handle with good weight, and the feather-light, sparse bristles feel soft against the skin. However, I find that the bristles have a bit of trouble picking up product from my highlighter. With a denser and slightly firmer brush, it goes significantly easier. A tip that has worked for me is to pinch the bristles together a bit before I sweep the brush in the powder, then I pick up more product. The application itself becomes very nice if you work with a light hand, but it takes its time. You need to work for a long time to build up the glow. Once you are done, the result is super professional and even, so it is absolutely worth the effort when you want to be extra careful. I use highlighter every day and prefer a denser brush for everyday use for quicker application. Beautiful shimmering shimmer
When I open the packaging, I am greeted by a perfect pink tone with fine shimmer. Both the blush and the compact are very appealing. I like the mirror in the compact that helps with touch-ups during the day. The blush is very low-pigmented, which works well for me just for a blush. It’s easy to achieve a blended and natural effect with it. I have dry skin and like to use a cream blush under the powder blush for better adherence. This product is perfect for that as the finish is slightly shimmery but absolutely not glittery, which highlights exactly the effect I want. A mediocre bronzer
I’ve been lucky to test the bronzer from Make up store for a few weeks now, but unfortunately it hasn’t become a new favorite. For everyday use, I hardly wear any face makeup, just bronzer and concealer. Therefore, I’m particularly careful that these products work well and stick to the skin even when I don’t have foundation on. Unfortunately, this bronzer doesn’t do that. You have to work hard and long with the product for it to stick. I would describe the bronzer as a bit dry, and I personally prefer bronzers that have a creamier consistency. However, I would recommend the product if you’re looking for a bronzer that isn’t creamy. Soft result but low durability
The bronzer is a nice mix between matte and shimmery that works well for my light skin tone when I'm a bit tanned or using self-tanner. Now that my skin has gotten a bit lighter, I would need a lighter shade. However, I prefer a cooler color which I can't find in lighter shades. I find the product to be firm in consistency and not particularly pigmented. I also don't find any oil in the product. This makes application a bit difficult as you need to work for a long time to get the pigments out, and there's a risk that you might brush outside the area where you want to apply it. The edges, however, become very soft and nice. I have dry skin and usually prefer products with a bit of oil that adhere better. Didn’t work for me 💔
Okay, I’ve been testing the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer for a while now and here’s my honest assessment after using it! The first thing I noticed was the consistency – it’s very thick. For me, this made the concealer a bit difficult to work with. When it comes to coverage, it delivers. It’s absolutely highly pigmented and hides imperfections. But unfortunately, the finish feels way too matte and dry on my skin. It doesn’t sit nicely, but emphasizes lines and feels cakey 👎 In the video I posted along with the review, you can see exactly how it sits under the eyes – it gets a bit dry and not at all smooth like I had hoped. (Though it looks nice/okay from a distance) I really hoped to like it considering the coverage, but the dry feeling really brings down the overall impression. Fantastic scent and good mist
I have tested this setting spray for a couple of weeks and have gotten a positive impression of the product🩷 I think the product comes in a nice packaging. It contains a lot of product that will last long, for a reasonable price. The spray function is super good, which you can hear in my attached video. When you spray, it creates a nice mist cloud that distributes evenly over the face. The best thing about this product is that the scent is very nice, as it smells fresh and just the right strength. When it comes to durability and what it actually does for the makeup, I think as an amateur that it is very difficult to make a fair assessment of it. Therefore, I rely a lot on the feeling I get from the product. I feel that the makeup feels like it holds better when I use this mist, as I don’t think the makeup feels as greasy and shiny as it otherwise does after a full workday.
