Before I became #lykoinflutester, I knew very little about make-up. I stuck to mascara. But my interest was sparked and I saw that it was about so much more than just making yourself a little prettier. It’s mindfulness. Fun but tricky packaging
I have had the chance to try some products from no7, and one of the products is this cleanser. But first about my skin: I would say I have a normal skin type. It can get a bit drier in winter and a bit oilier in summer, but overall normal. Sometimes I get a few small pimples. My first reaction to the product was that it has a fun and unique packaging! You twist the packaging and the product is "shaved" off. Fun! I thought, but it turned out to be tricky 😂 It’s quite hard to twist open and you definitely need to use some force. If you don’t have strong hands, this is definitely not a product for you. If your hands are a bit wet, it’s actually impossible. But about the balm itself! It’s very soft and melts easily on the skin, which is very positive. Works great to use on skin without makeup, BUT I don’t think it’s so good at removing makeup. Works with foundation etc., but I find it bad at removing mascara and eyebrow gel, you have to struggle a bit with that which I don’t want. If I have makeup on, I also have to use a damp cloth to remove mascara etc., and afterwards I use another cleanser. After using the product, the skin feels good! Not dry at all, which is a big plus because many cleansers can do that. So to sum up: A fun idea for the packaging, but quite tricky to use. It’s okay at cleansing, but doesn’t remove makeup that easily. I would say it’s a good cleanser for a bare face or just light makeup, less good with eye makeup. Good first step in the morning
I have had the chance to try some products from no7, and one of the products is these soothing pads. But first about my skin: I would say I have a normal skin type. It can get a bit drier in winter and a bit oilier in summer, but overall normal. Sometimes I get a few small pimples. I tend to think that this type of skincare products is a bit "unnecessary" and not something I usually reach for; I prefer a regular toner or serum with the same ingredients! Easier to bring along if you’re traveling too. When it comes to pre-made pads, they often take up too much space in my bathroom cabinet and therefore end up in a strange place and get forgotten 😅 But about the product: I like that it comes with tweezers which makes it more hygienic, and it has a good lid that is easy to open and close but keeps the pads moisturized. The pads themselves are perfectly moisturized in my opinion! They are moist enough and large enough to cover the whole face and neck, but they are not so wet that the product drips. It’s easy to apply, and the skin feels moisturized and nice… but I don’t notice much more difference than that (yet). I usually don’t wash my face in the morning, so I have preferred to use these in the morning as a first step as a light "cleanse" and to soothe the skin. I like that they are pre-made pads because I usually prefer to use my regular toner with a pad in the morning anyway, as it feels like it removes some "dirt" from the face when you don’t wash it. Since they themselves recommend using it 2-3 times a week, I have done that, and on the other days just used my regular toner. So to sum up: my first thought was that it feels unnecessary, but I have liked it more than I thought! Especially in the morning as a first step. Moisturizing but confusing!
I've had the chance to try some products from no7, and one of the products is this moisture milk, which is a moisturizing dream! But first about my skin: I would say I have a normal skin type. It can get a bit drier in winter and a bit oilier in summer, but overall normal. Sometimes I get a few small pimples. About the product! My first thought was that I didn’t understand at all what type of product it was. My first thought was a toner or essence, but on the packaging it says it’s step 4 moisture, and unfortunately I don’t think this is enough as a day cream. Because I was confused, I’ve tried using it in different ways: as a toner, as an essence, as a day cream, and after reading a comment here from a review that it should be used after serum to lock in moisture, I finally did that BUT also used a day cream afterwards. Why I did that is because I think the product dries a bit sticky on the skin and I don’t like that feeling, it doesn’t feel like you’re sufficiently moisturized then. Now I actually vary a bit how I use it sometimes as an essence (between toner and serum) and sometimes between serum and day cream. I think it works fine both ways! Otherwise, this product has a milky consistency that is thicker than a toner but lighter than a day cream. It’s very moisturizing and gives an incredibly nice glow! As I said, I think it feels a bit sticky on the skin when it dries in, which can be good before makeup! It’s very easy to work with and works well with my regular skincare routine. So to summarize: a super nice product that moisturizes and leaves a nice and natural glow. However, confusing about which step to use it in. Perfect for the Baby Shower
I have received this kit from #estelleandthild as #lykoinflutester #bylyko, and here comes my honest review! The kit feels perfect to give as a gift to an expecting or new parent! The toiletry bag is super nice and the perfect size! It will have many uses, for example for baby swimming! The blankets are very soft and the hairbrush is super gentle! The baby wash feels very mild and pleasant, and the baby oil has been used both for the pregnant belly and my children after showering. I find it fragrance-free and moisturizing, and even though I can agree that a different lid would have been more convenient, I actually think the lid is very practical and spill-proof if you are on the go, for example at the swimming pool, and want to be sure that all the packing doesn’t get oiled. Melts away the dirt
I have, as a #lykoinflutester, had the chance to try a bunch of products from #no7. Next up for review is the Glow grind cleansing balm, a cleansing balm with vitamin C and squalane. It’s supposed to deeply cleanse and care for the skin, and I really think it does. It literally melts away all makeup without leaving any residue. The skin is left hydrated and clean. The texture is a bit funny, straight from the jar it comes out as a balm, but in contact with the skin it melts into a milky texture, and it feels incredibly pleasant on the skin. The product comes in a jar with a screw lid, you twist the lid and strips of the balm come out. Kind of like a cheese slicer inside 😝. The only negative is that it’s very hard to twist the jar open to get the product out. You have to really grip it, and if your hands are a bit wet, it’s even harder. Cool product
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test three products from #no7. Now it's time for a review of the Calm fix soothing pads. These pads are soaked with Cica extract and Niacinamide, which are supposed to soothe and hydrate the skin and should be used after cleansing but before other products. I find it nice to use these; it's a fun step in my routine, but I can't really say I notice any difference in my skin, maybe a bit more hydrated but unfortunately not more than that. The pads are well soaked with product, which is positive; one pad is enough for face, neck, and décolleté. The jar is quite large with a snap lid, which is convenient, but it's hard to store the jar nicely because of its size. Inside the jar, there is a plastic tweezer meant to help pick out a pad; the tweezer is flimsy and not very sturdy, so it's hard to use it—it tends to bend, so I end up picking up a pad with my fingers instead. Great products for mom and baby
My youngest child and I have had the chance to test the Gentle Care Baby kit from Estelle & Thild. In a lovely toiletry bag, you get a soft hairbrush, washcloth, cleansing soap, and body oil. The body oil can be used by both mom and baby, and I think it’s great to use on a growing belly for mom. We have used the soap to wash face, hands, and feet morning and evening. It is mild, fragrance-free, and long-lasting. The hairbrush is incredibly soft and comfortable. I believe most small children will accept being brushed with this. I think the washcloth is perfect when bathing the baby; it’s large and can be dipped in warm water and placed over the baby’s belly so he stays nice and warm during the bath. My youngest child has a bit of dry skin, especially on the arms. He had some bumps and was scratching them a bit. We have used the oil on the arms for 1.5 weeks now and notice good improvement. The bumps have decreased, and the skin is softer and probably itches less. A new favorite and a regular part of our morning/evening routine. First up is Skin sip Moisture milk, which is supposed to hydrate and give radiance, it is enriched with hyaluronic acid and squalane, which my skin also loves. The texture is like a lightly flowing milky toner, I was a bit confused when I saw it and had to double-check if it was a toner I had received, but no. I love this one, it absorbs easily and really hydrates deeply. I think my skin looks fresher and more glowing when I use it. It also doesn't clash with my other skincare products. This time I've been so lucky to test #no7 Good Intent Calm Fix Soothing Pads🥰 The pads come in a nice pink box with a small plastic tweezers so you can pick up exactly the one wipe you need. It's more hygienic and you get a better grip on the product with these. The wipes provide so much moisture, glow, and hydrated skin🤩 After a long winter with dry skin, I notice that this is exactly what my skin needs. I have been so lucky to test #no7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm for a few lovely weeks now. The product is packed in a box where you have to twist the box for the product to become visible. It creates thin strips of product so you don't have to dip your finger into a jar, like with other similar products. This twisting mechanism is a bit hard/difficult to get to work, but the idea is good. The cleansing balm is soft and melts easily into the skin. It smells clean and not too much💕 It's easy to work the product into the skin to remove makeup, but it takes a little time. I don't find that this dries out my skin, something I often feel when using cleansers. So this is a big plus for me. No more static hair!
I've been using Hair Syrup Honey Dew for a while now, and here are my honest thoughts. First of all: it smells really like honey. It's a distinct scent, but I actually like it a lot – it feels warm and pleasant, but maybe a bit strong🍯 I've tested the oil in both wet and dry hair, and what I appreciate the most is that my hair doesn't get static anymore. I struggle a lot with static hair in the winter, and this is one of the few products that has actually helped😍 The only downside for me is that my hair can look a bit greasy after application, both in wet and dry hair. I received this No7 Good Intent Skin Sip Moisture Milkin for testing from Lyko. 💚 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I received No7's Good Intent Calm Fix Soothing Pads to test from Lyko. 🩷 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I have used similar products a bit, but they tend to end up forgotten at the back of the cupboard. How did these pads perform? 🧐 The product's pink packaging is definitely not a minus for me. 😉💕 The included tweezers, however, are just as useful as nothing: they don't fit in my hand and keep falling off the lid of the pads. No7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm
I received this No7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm for testing from Lyko. 🤎 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have sometimes even atopic dry skin in the winter. Only very few facial cleansers do not cause my skin to feel tight and dry after washing. However, balm-like cleansers are my favorites, so I was excited to test this completely new brand for myself. 🔍 I love the packaging of this product! After the initial difficulty, rolling it has been easy, and using the product has been much more pleasant than traditional jars. The product spreads easily on the skin, emulsifies well with water, and melts nicely when washed off with water. I have been so lucky to have tested this from #estellethild as #lykoinflutester for a few weeks. I have a son who just turned 4 who has been the one doing the actual testing 😜 The toiletry bag is super cute! Big plus that it’s for both genders and not typically pink/blue. It has good space and is practical with a zipper. It’s soft too! The first thing we tested was the baby wash. It lathers nicely and did the job, I think. Sooooo nice that it’s completely fragrance-free and perfume-free too since that’s something we try to avoid at home. The oil was also very nice after a bath/shower for both me and my child. I got to test the Estelle & Thild Gentle Care Baby Kit for my 8-month-old baby, and I am so glad for that choice! The products feel incredibly gentle and kind to the skin, which is very important to me. My baby still has quite little hair, so the hairbrush actually became more like a cuddle brush – it is so soft and pleasant that it almost works like a little massage. Exciting look where one has chosen to also focus on the area around the mouth and not made a hole for it. Has practical rubber shields around the eyes to protect them further. A cool design that has a start program of 12 minutes which first has a red light for 4 minutes, then red + infrared for 4 minutes, and finally a blue light for 4 minutes. You can also choose to start any of the programs yourself and customize according to your needs. Has a massage for the scalp which I didn't quite buy since it's only on the side just above the ears. Each part focuses on a specific area that is supposed to optimize the appearance of the skin. A charge lasts about 2 weeks with every other day use. It charges with a Lightning c-cable, which only the cable is included, not the plug. I find it a bit heavy, have walked around with it and think it gets too heavy. But sitting still makes the use more pleasant. Should give visible effects after 12 weeks of regular use, and I haven't had the opportunity to do that during the test, but I feel it adds glow and firmness to my skin. The skin feels very smooth and nice right after use, and the following products absorb well! 🌸Simple exfoliation that actually gives glow and minimizes pores🌸
These pads are really easy to use, and it makes you actually want to be consistent, which is really half the battle with skincare. I use them 2-3 times a week in the evening after cleansing, and let my skin have "rest days" in between. It also says that they shouldn't necessarily be used every day, and that makes sense because the skin needs time to recover between exfoliations.
