Smells amazing! Love the mandarin scent!
I really love it! I really like the scent and the consistency is wonderful. It is rich and fluffy, which makes it feel very creamy, but it still sinks into the skin surprisingly well without leaving a greasy film. The shea butter and jojoba oil are fantastic ingredients as they make the skin very soft and hydrated, especially on dry areas like elbows and legs, perfect for dry skin. It has a light vanilla scent with a hint of orange, sweet and absolutely lovely 😋 Overall, it does a fantastic job of making dry skin feel soft and pleasant. I really like it! A big plus is that it has a sealed lid, which makes you feel secure that the product is fresh and properly sealed. I really love this scrub. It smells amazing and my skin feels so soft after using it. The scent is not strong at all, but smells just like their body butter, vanilla and mandarin, which together actually smell heavenly LOL. This body scrub is exactly what I hoped for. Super moisturizing, lovely scent, and it leaves no film on the skin or mess in the shower! It has a really nice consistency, soft and gentle, but still exfoliates really well. The fresh scent lingers on my hands for a long time and makes the whole bathroom smell wonderfully citrusy. The scrub has the perfect texture, with just the right amount of sugar crystals to exfoliate effectively, but is still gentle enough for daily use without irritating the skin. When I rinse it off with warm water, the sugar grains melt away immediately 😉 I finished with their Nourishing Body Butter, a completely perfect combination! My skin is sooooo happy right now 🤗🥰💕. Good, but way too strong scent!
About my hair: Basically, I have medium brown/dark brown hair. So when I started getting “gray hair” about 15 years ago, they are quite visible compared to my dark hair. And of course, there are more and more of these gray hairs. 😩😂 So the solution to make these not visible was to dye my hair. Besides dyed hair, my hair is dry and curly. I had previously hardly any experience with Kevin Murphy's hair products, other than having tried maxi wash in mini format. I thought that the special appearance and how the bottles were designed could be a problem. But not! Even though the cap is at the bottom, it doesn't spill out uncontrollably, which I had an idea it might do. 😂 So absolutely, good and handy bottle. The conditioner has a thick and good consistency for hair like mine, which is dry & treated. However, I need to use a lot of product for it to be sufficient. But that is standard for my hair. So nothing that makes me need to use more of Kevin Murphy than other products. Unfortunately, the conditioner has no good scent. It smells way too strong. But I have also partially damaged my sense of smell due to covid-19, which makes some ingredients in products smell very chemical. So how I perceive the scent of the product does not mean that everyone else experiences the scent “equally badly”. The main property of the conditioner should be color preserving. So, I can't see that this conditioner is more color preserving than others I use. I usually use hair products that work with “hydrate”, as I have dry hair. Sometimes I buy for colored hair. So no, I see no difference. But then I dye the roots every three weeks. So the color probably never gets a chance to be “really washed out”? I usually wash my hair about 3 times/week. So, in summary: good product for my dry hair, even though the main “goal” of the conditioner is to be color preserving, and not hydrate. Unfortunately too strong scent, which makes me not see the conditioner as my first choice when I buy conditioner again. I hesitated between giving it three and four stars. But it lands on four stars. This hair oil really smells like honey, a really nice scent in my opinion, though I might not feel any of the other scent notes that are promised. The scent also lasts very long in the hair, which I personally appreciate, and I could even smell it the next day. The oil itself has a very nice consistency that is easy to distribute in the hair. I have thick, long, and dry hair, and I think it absorbed very well both in dry and freshly washed hair. Superfine Shine
I got to #lykoinflutester test this gloss coat from #marianila. It really adds shine to the hair! I thought it might weigh down my typically Scandinavian hair with fine, thin strands, but I don't think it does. The bottle is super pretty, and with its pink spring-like appearance, I think it would fit perfectly in an Easter egg. The scent is lovely and smells a bit like candy. It's not a strong scent, but it disappears quickly. It's super easy to apply as well. I love that it contains heat protection. All styling products should do that. 💥I have been testing this bond builder for a few weeks now, a new product from Maria Nila! It is especially for you if you have damaged and chemically treated hair. 🙋About my hair: My hair is typically Scandinavian, somewhat thin, "smooth" and a bit dry. 👉This is said to repair, protect, and strengthen the hair from within. It should also prevent hair strands from breaking. A big advantage is that it also contains heat protection up to 230 degrees, which means you don't need a separate heat protectant! 100% vegan but contains silicones. 👍I like the design of the bottle, a mix of luxury and playfulness. However, if I have to be a bit picky, I think the pump is a bit too slow/hard. I appreciate the scent, it smells quite strong at first but fades relatively quickly. If you are sensitive to scents, it might be a bit too strong for you. 🤜I have mostly used this in damp hair, as I don't think it works as well in dry styled hair. The hair then becomes too wet and weighs down volume and curls. ✌️But using it before blow-drying works quite well for me! Since my hair completely lacks structure on its own, I really need help with volume. It gives a certain structure but still manages to maintain the softness of my hair, which I really appreciate. However, I would have wished for even more structure. Good durability!
Ohhh, I was so looking forward to trying this! And it was good, but it doesn't quite make it all the way.. I used the shade 2N1, which matched my skin tone well, and I haven't experienced it oxidizing throughout the day. I have a bit of rosacea and didn't find that it negatively affected my skin condition, however, I added a little extra on the areas where I am most red. It's thin and light, but I still feel like it looks a bit heavy, especially if you want to powder a little on oily areas (I didn't powder in the pictures). The durability is really good though, it couldn't be washed off with micellar water 😅 it would be interesting to do a sweat test.. I would prefer to use this for nights out, for example, but for my taste, it's too heavy for everyday use. I would say it has a satin finish. It settles a bit unattractively around my nose, I think, and I feel like you need to be well-moisturized before applying the product, so that wrinkles aren't emphasized more. I don't like that a pump isn't included, it's incredibly cumbersome and messy without it, and when the product already has a high price, it feels annoying to have to buy a pump.. nah, please bring the pumps back, dear Esteé Lauder 🙏🥺 So, is it worth the price then? 🤎 The blush comes in a very interesting and practical packaging, really good for precise application. However, the packaging is quite small, and the shade I have requires using a fair amount of product to achieve the desired color, so I assume it would run out quickly. 🤎 My skin tone is neutral with a slight olive undertone, and the shade Meet-Cute is barely visible on my skin. 🤎 The foundation comes in a beautiful, elegant glass bottle, but for some reason it doesn't have a pump or any kind of dispenser, so you have to pour it out first, which is quite impractical. 🤎 It has a very pleasant scent. I'd say it has medium to high coverage, yet it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and gives a beautiful glow. 🤎 My skin is quite oily and tends to get shiny after some time. I have a neutral undertone. I think it looks good and holds well on oily skin as well. 🤎 What I really love about this foundation is the glow it gives to the skin and how well it blends and brings all the other products together. It melts beautifully into the skin and works especially well with cream blush and bronzer. 🤎 It applies nicely with both a brush and fingers. 🤎 I don't wear foundation very often and I haven't tried the older version of this one, but I'm very happy with how it looks on my skin and how it performs with other products. 🤎 My skin tone is neutral with dark under-eyes. The shade I use is 2N, and it works well, it covers dark blue areas nicely. However, for me personally, it's slightly on the lighter side. I could probably go one shade darker so it blends better with the darker tone under my eyes. 🤎 I would say this concealer has a good coverage. It's not very hydrating, but it also doesn't dry out the skin. However, if your skin is already dry, that dryness will be noticeable once you apply the concealer, especially under the eyes 🤎 It doesn't crease as much, but as said, it can emphasize dryness if you don't properly hydrate your under-eye 🤎 The packaging is very elegant, and you get a generous amount of product. Beautiful shade and easily buildable
I have used Estee Lauder products on-off for years and the brand has many lovely products that I always return to. I was excited when I got to test this blush. I have previously only used powder blushes from Estee Lauder, so this was a completely new category to test. The selection of shades was delicious, it was hard to choose. I ended up with the shade meet-cute and I don't regret it! This is a shade that works for both day and night and it's easy to build up depending on how bold you want it. It also suits beginners well, as it is not super pigmented. The formula is pleasant and the product can be used with both a kabuki brush and a damp makeup sponge, but I recommend dispensing the product into your hand first > then applying it to the skin with a brush or sponge. This way, the application is easiest to control and allows for even layering. I love luxury cosmetics. For someone looking for everyday luxury in makeup, this is a lovely product, but it's not a must-have for anyone. Lovely lightweight, yet covering! I had the lightest shade .0N and it beautifully brightened my under-eye area without making the delicate skin under my eyes too heavy. The concealer also didn’t settle into fine lines but stays beautifully in place all day. Long-lasting and finished result all day. This is staying in my routine! Plus for the wide range of shades. The price is also in line with other selective/luxury cosmetic concealers, so I see nothing to complain about. Beautiful even long-lasting finish
I was super excited to test this foundation because the older version has been my go-to foundation for years, and I also used the product in my makeup kit for clients when I wanted bomb-proof durability for photoshoot makeup. First of all, I want to say that the lovely test shade suited me perfectly. Light enough! It was also easy to find the right shade in the color chart since it was high quality and the shade range is generally wide. I love the new formula. I think it’s thinner than before, and thus the finish isn’t as mask-like as I remember the previous version being. Even though I have dry-prone skin, this was easy to get to work on my skin with good primer and hydration. The makeup lasted all day without needing touch-ups, and the finish was flawless from morning to night. Plus, it didn’t turn yellow or darker as it dried. The downside is that the pump bottle has to be purchased separately. I love luxury cosmetics, and the price is okay for me, but I understand that many can’t afford to buy this. Is it worth the price? Everyone who knows me knows that my favorite makeup product is blush. So trying new ones is always something I look forward to. That’s why I’m excited to share that I have as #lykoinflutester gotten to test the Futurist Blushmaker in the shade “Stolen Glance” from #esteelauder !! 🥳🥳 My first impression of this cream blush was that the packaging felt bougie but also practical: a tube that makes it easy to get the blush out, and an applicator that allows you to be very precise about how much and where you want your blush. I also thought the color was extreeeeemmt pretty!😽 The application of the product was easy with, as mentioned, a nice applicator, and it was also very easy to blend out. Not super pigmented color, but buildable📈📈 The blush is dewy💧 (which I like) and gives a natural flush of color. It also has pretty good longevity throughout the day 🥰🫰 I, who have acne-prone skin, love when makeup is also caring - which this is with ingredients like raspberry extract and glycerin!! I'm back, and this time you get to see my review of the Double Wear Stay-In-Place Concealer from #esteelauder. This concealer is described to provide long-lasting coverage, oil control, and hydration.🥰 My first impression was that the packaging was very nice; simple and sleek, but also looks luxurious (which the brand is anyway). 😌 Then when I read about the product, I learned how well thought-out the stick - design was to adapt to the different functions that a concealer stick can have - which I thought was very fun 🤗 I have a combination skin type that is mostly oily, but a bit drier in areas like under the eyes and around the nose. My skin is also acne-prone. 🫣 I chose shade 1C because I have a light and cool skin tone, but despite that, I found the concealer to be a bit yellow on me, which I don't expect when I choose a shade that is supposed to have a cool undertone. 🤔 The concealer was easy to apply with the stick and had very good coverage. Since it is a matte concealer, it is a bit on the drier side, and I found it easier to blend out with my fingers than with a brush. As promised, the product had good oil control for the oily areas of my skin, but it settled a bit in the lines under my eyes and became a bit too dry around my nose (which most concealers do for me🥲). New day, new Lyko mission!! This time I have as #lykoinflutester tested among other things the Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF10 from #esteelauder !!😝 The packaging is simple but looks luxurious. I think it’s a bit awkward how you distribute the product from the bottle - there’s nothing direct. It becomes harder to control how much product you get out, unless you are incredibly light-handed. It would be better with a pump or something. The product is supposed to be a mattifying foundation, with buildable medium to full coverage that lasts for 24 hours no matter what you find yourself doing. 🙌 This foundation is matte, which I appreciate as I have combination/oily skin. But even though it’s mattifying, I still think my natural glow shines through nicely.✨ It’s also fragrance-free, oil-free, and should not clog pores, which I appreciate as someone with quite acne-prone skin - and I haven’t experienced that this has affected my pores or caused me to breakout. 🔥The coverage is good and the longevity too: I’ve had this on for a 12-hour shift as a waitress where you run around, as well as a full day of snowmobiling where I wore a helmet, and I barely saw a difference before and after. Natural, but a bit pigmented
I tried Estée Lauder's Futurist Blushmaker in the color Stolen Glance🩷 I have a combination skin type with tendencies to rosacea, which can be quite oily in the T-zone and partially dehydrated/dry and reactive on the cheeks. I love using blush that brings life to the face, and I'm especially fond of cream blush🥰 The product comes in a sleek and exclusive packaging, resembling a lip product. The applicator tip is quite thin, so unfortunately, you have to press quite a bit to get product out of the tube. I applied the product on my hand, blended it with a brush, and then applied it to my face. Upon application, I feel that the color is very weak, and you have to use a lot of product to get color. This might be because I distribute it on my palm first, as I usually do with my products. It's usually an advantage to have the ability to build up the color, but in this case, it was necessary to use a lot of product to achieve the desired color. Still, the product gives a very natural result, which is a big plus🩷 Overall, the product is just okay. It's a nice and natural color, but it requires quite a bit of product to build up the desired color. I'm attaching pictures of before and after applying the blush. I tried Estée Lauder's Double Wear Stay-In-Place Concealer in the shade 2N🥥 I have quite neutral undertones, and I struggle a bit with fine lines and blue tones under my eyes💙 Normally, I don't use concealer, as I haven't found one that gives me the natural result I want🥺 First of all, I want to mention that I was very unsure about the color I should choose, and I realize that I picked a shade that is too dark🥺 Therefore, I won't let this affect my assessment of the product. The product comes in a sleek and exclusive packaging, and the container for the product is also nice. You apply products with an applicator that is quite large, but a soft and triangular cushion for application. This makes it easy to apply the desired amount of product with good precision🙌🏼 Unfortunately, I didn't find that the product gave me the desired result, as it sat very unnaturally on my skin. The product was quite dry in consistency, and I therefore tried not to apply too much product. It also emphasized my fine lines and gave quite an orange and blue color under my eyes🥺 I haven't used the product for a longer time, so unfortunately I don't know how it performs throughout the day. Overall, I unfortunately didn't find that the product gives me the desired result, but I don't know if it has to do with my skin type. The products come in a stylish and exclusive packaging, and that also applies to the container of the product. Unfortunately, I find it somewhat difficult to portion the amount of product, as I prefer to blend the product out on my hand with a brush. Hopefully, this is a matter of getting used to, and the patent means that less product disappears as with, for example, pumps or applicator brushes🙌🏼 Otherwise, the product was easy to blend on the face and gave a quite natural result, aside from the fact that the color was a bit too dark. AMAZING
So first of all wow what a product!! I’ve always been so skeptical about new foundations because I’ve used Lumene’s CC cream for several years and it’s a product that always finds its way into my makeup bag 💖 but… I also fell in love with this one!! It’s incredibly lightweight, I hate thick foundations that you can feel on your face. This is just the right amount of coverage for my taste and still really natural 🫶🏼 And best of all, it stayed looking so good all day that I didn’t need to touch up at all 🤍 Besides the foundation, I always have Lumene’s concealer in use too, perfect match together! I’m really fair and often foundations are just the wrong shades for me, there are several brands I can’t buy because of the shade range, but Lumene’s shade 00 is perfect for me 🤍 The best part is that there are several shades so there’s definitely one for everyone! 🤩 I also tested shade 0 but it was the wrong shade! Perfect blush topper 😍
At first glance, I was very curious about the applicator, as I have never encountered this type before. And it’s genius!! The narrow tip makes it super easy to place the right amount exactly where you want 🤩 Additionally, it’s more hygienic since you don’t have to dip an applicator into a bottle. The fact that the product comes in a tube is also a big plus, it makes dosing easy, and in a busy everyday life, it’s nice to skip an extra step, as it can be applied directly to the cheek without any problems. The consistency is a bit thick, but easy to blend out. I tested the color across the dancefloor, and I found it to be a bit under-pigmented. Alone, it doesn’t give as much color as I would have liked. But as a blush topper, it’s fantastic! I have been using this daily since I received it to test it properly. Color: 2N I love the wide applicator, it fits perfectly under the eye 🤝 However, it is a bit stiff and not very flexible. I have some dark circles and a somewhat dry eye area with fine lines. A moisturizing concealer settles into the lines, while a dry one emphasizes them and goes on cakey. Usually, I use Natasha Denona and am also satisfied with Lancôme. This concealer sets quickly, so you should work fast, or with one eye at a time. Don’t let it sit or apply it to too many places before you start blending. I prefer to use my fingers, and might go over with a sponge. The formula is a bit thicker and drier than I’m used to, and it doesn’t blend as seamlessly, which brings it down a bit. The coverage is very good without feeling heavy. I am still a bit cautious about building it up too much, for fear that it might cake. In the first video, you can see the difference with and without concealer, and it’s quite significant 🤭 I also tested it against Natasha Denona, one under each eye. The result was surprisingly similar in terms of coverage and finish. However, this one feels drier, and I notice throughout the day that the area feels somewhat drier where it’s applied. You can also see that it’s a bit drier. At the end of the video, you can see how they held up throughout the day. You don’t see the differences as clearly on video as you do in real life. After using it over time, the impression remains the same: It is a bit drier in both feel and finish. It’s not a big problem, I have used it daily after all, but it does mean that it doesn’t quite measure up to my other favorites. I was really positively surprised by this! 😍The consistency is a bit gel-like, which makes it easy to work with and very easy to blend into the skin. It is also incredibly economical to use, and I only need a small amount to achieve a fresh and nice look. What I like most about this product is the durability. Often I feel that blush can fade a bit throughout the day, but this one lasts all day. The picture I took was after 9 hours, and it still looks even and fresh. This concealer really delivers!😍 The concealer can be built up from medium to full coverage and hides imperfections while brightening the skin with minimal product. This will last a long time before it runs out. The finish is matte but without looking dry, and it stays that way all day. I especially like the large applicator; it makes application quick and easy.
