903 Medium Glow
I was lucky to test L’Oréal Paris Lumi Glotion, and it gave a nice glow to my skin. I applied the product to half of my face and asked my partner if he saw any difference – and the first thing he commented on was that the side with the product had a «nice glow» ✨ The glow looked healthy and fresh. As for the color, 903 was unfortunately a bit too dark and warm for me. I have a very light skin tone with cool undertones, and both my partner and I agreed that the shade didn’t quite fit. For my skin tone, it would have been better with a shade lighter. The product had very little coverage. Despite being marketed as a foundation-like glotion, the coverage is almost non-existent. Personally, I like this a lot, as it gives a very natural result. But when I built up the product in areas where I wanted more coverage, the result became patchy, as the foundation got darker where more product was applied. As shown in the picture of swatches marked (1) «much» product, (2) less amount of product, and (3) the result of the product that was left on my finger after the other two, so very little amount of product. I’m sure this wouldn’t have been a problem if I had tested a shade that was better suited to my skin tone. Plump right back
I have been so lucky to test NYX's product Plump Right Back ⚡️ It is a serum and primer in one, and the first impression is very positive. The product has a fresh and pleasant scent, and the pump bottle makes it easy to get the right amount of product out. The consistency is almost lighter gel-like, but still very easy to apply evenly on the skin. After a short time, the skin becomes a bit «sticky», and this is exactly where the product really impresses. This stickiness makes foundation and other base products sit extremely well on the skin. The makeup has a good grip and lays nicely, without sliding around. For me, it worked very well under foundation 💛 If you don't like the feeling of sticky skin, you can let the product dry a little longer. After a while, it feels like it completely absorbs into the skin, while the effect is still there. The makeup still sits well, and the base stays nice over time. All in all, this is a primer that really does its job when it comes to longevity. It provides a good foundation for base products, especially if you want your makeup to last long. I have been so lucky to test Maybelline's Sky High mascara 🌸☁️ It comes in a cute and sleek packaging, and simply looks gorgeous in the makeup bag. It's a little plus that makes the product extra tempting to use. The mascara is easy to apply, and the silicone brush works really well! The brush is narrower at the tip, which makes it easy to reach the inner corners of the eyes and the lower lashes. It reaches all the lashes well and gives an even result from root to tip. The lashes feel neither stiff nor clumpy after application, which I really appreciate. The formula doesn't clump, and the mascara can easily be built up with more layers if you want more length and intensity. The result still looks pretty and defined, even with several strokes. All in all, this is a mascara that provides good control during application, separates the lashes nicely, and gives a soft and natural result – while also being buildable as needed. A mascara you keep coming back to
I received this mascara from Maybelline and I won't hide the fact that it's one of my favorites from before as well! The brush itself is a bit curved, and the whole handle is quite soft which makes it flexible and easy to apply. The "spikes" on the brush are hard enough to separate the lashes and avoid so many clumps. However, it always gets a bit clumpy on one of my eyes while the other usually looks really nice, I don't understand why it turns out like that🤷🏻♀️😂 I usually apply in two coats for the best effect. It can get a bit clumpy, but I think it works best to get defined lashes, and actually, I also feel that the curl holds better that way! Otherwise, my lashes tend to tip forward and become almost straight right after applying mascara. I have medium-length lashes and relatively thick ones. I used to use lash serum, but it's been a while since I used it regularly, so I don't think it should have that much impact on the result. One small downside is that it's quite hard to wash off, especially after two layers. I had gotten used to a mascara that easily "rolls" off, so it's a bit annoying for the eyes to have to wash so aggressively! Fills the skin with lots of goodness
I have tried this primer from NYX both now and previously, and I am absolutely satisfied with it. The formula is transparent and gel-like, and when you work it into the skin a bit by patting, it becomes a little lightly sticky/messy. I notice right upon application that the primer evens out the skin's texture. It becomes a bit smoother! What is stated in the description that the skin is "filled out" is really true. That it is also multifunctional and has a lot of nourishing properties is a big plus! If I had to guess, it's probably a big reason why it should make the makeup last better, since skincare is A and O when it comes to that. I also like the pump bottle and the function. Highlighter - Glow without glitter
I have tried this highlighter from Loreal Paris, and I actually think it's the first completely liquid highlighter that I'm testing! My first impression of this is that it creates a nice and natural glow, and I stand by that! The formula is, as mentioned, liquid and it comes in a tube packaging. I have used it by taking a small dab on my finger and then dabbing it out mainly over the cheekbones, and I think that’s enough for a natural result! I don’t actually use highlighter that often otherwise. I haven’t used it all over my face, either alone or under makeup. It feels like it would be way too much of a good thing, at least for me! I have normal-combination skin that tends to get oily sometimes, and a lot of extra glow is the last thing I want (even if the latter might be a nicer type of glow). If you use it like I do, it will also last really long since you only need an extremely small amount. The highlighter is colored, and I would like to compare it to a warmer foundation in tone (I have 903 medium glow). I think it works well to look natural with my skin tone. It blends in nicely, especially if I have a foundation in a similar tone, and contributes a lot to the natural result. It doesn’t really brighten the cheekbones, but as mentioned, it creates a nice glow there! I have previously had many highlighters that tend to get glittery, which I don’t like at all. Not for my skin
I've been using this for a few weeks now, and unfortunately, it hasn't suited my skin. Pretty okay, but not a favorite!
This product unfortunately didn't hit quite like I had imagined. As a highlighter, both under and over makeup, I found that the effect wasn't that strong and I miss more glow and shine. I think the result was very discreet and that it hardly made any difference with or without the product. The product has no scent, which is great for those who are bothered by or react to scented products. The color Medium suited me quite well and has a good consistency. Now that I have quite dry skin due to winter, I wish the product provided a bit more moisture and care than it currently does. Very moisturizing for very dry skin
VICHY Minéral 89 Daily Booster is a product I’m already familiar with, but I haven’t used it in a while - partly due to the price. 🫣 The product promises effective hydration, which my skin really needs, so let’s see if it lives up to its promise 🔎 The serum comes in a luxurious glass bottle, Vichy’s typical design 🩵 I didn’t notice any scent in the product, which is a positive thing for me - although a scent might add to the feeling of luxury 🌟 The instructions say this should be the first step after cleansing, but I always use toner first, and I did so this time as well. CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is a product I’m already familiar with, but it’s been a while since I last used it. The product promises to be a moisturizing cleanser, which is good since I have very dry skin, and especially now in the cold, cleansing products need to be moisturizing as well 💧 I didn’t have any makeup on today, so I just washed my face with this. Lovely thick, but very spreadable
Lovely rich, but at the same time very absorbent and spreadable cream. Leaves the skin feeling immediately soft and hydrated. Easy to dispense since it starts off white so you can see where you've applied it, but melts quickly into the skin to become clear. Foundation glides on really smoothly over this, but it doesn't work with all foundation products, so you have to test a bit to see which ones work and which ones don't. The scent of the product reminds me of the dentist... It smells for some reason like when you go to the dentist. It's not bad, but a funny combination. Price-wise, the product is a bit on the expensive side, but it makes up for it with its economy. Overall, I give the product 4/5. A little about me first; I have dry and sensitive skin. Especially around the eyes. My evening routine is to wash 2 times, followed by retinol, serum, and a thicker moisturizer. So onto the first impression; Nice glass jar, it holds little for being so big, but nice that you can buy refills for it. I think the mechanism that is supposed to hold the inner jar in place was very loose, but I never experienced it falling out. What I notice when I start to spread this for the first time is that there is an immediately noticeable perfume smell from this, even though the perfume is at the bottom of the ingredient list. It has a light and clinical scent. In my experience, the scent lingered for quite a while after application, I would have preferred not to have any perfume in this at all. The cream is easy to apply. Afterwards, the skin feels well moisturized, but at the same time a little tight. I never really got the feeling that this "melted" into the skin, always left with a feeling of having a thin layer of something on top. The day after the first use, my skin felt the same as when I use my regular moisturizer, so there is no immediate difference when using this. After repeated use of this, I experienced my skin becoming more and more irritated. It started off small and peaked after 1-2 weeks of regular use. The last time I used this, my whole face felt like it was on fire, honestly. I have had the same skincare routine for several years now. Often it goes well to introduce new products to my skin, but never has my skin reacted so strongly as it did with this. Even after I stopped using this, it took several days for my skin to return to normal. This daily-use cleanser gently cleanses the skin without leaving a dry feeling. The skin stays clean but not tight, which is a big plus for me. Really lovely cleanser from baby to grandpa. We've used several jars in our family, so it was a familiar product. Suitable for both facial cleansing and for the body. For removing eye makeup or lip makeup, it’s not enough for me, but for basic cleansing it’s good and works well for my sensitive skin without making it feel tight. It also doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, which is a plus. The jar is styled like regular pharmacy cosmetics. I think the price-quality ratio is really good. Amazing for reactive skin
Lovely moisturizing serum. I am a mother of 3 small children and want to keep skincare sensible and effective. I have really sensitive and reactive skin that easily gets red, and this suited my skin really well and did not cause any irritation; on the contrary, it feels soothing. Fragrance-free and overall pleasant to use. Absorbs wonderfully, does not leave any film on the skin's surface that could interfere with makeup application, and it works perfectly under makeup as well. So onto the first impression; The first thing that greets you is a beautifully designed glass bottle with a very good pump. This is easy to fall for and to get the right amount of product every time. It has zero scent at all, a big plus. Because as we with sensitive skin know, fragrance in skincare products is a no-go! I used this daily for a month and tested it with several different other skincare products, time and time again this worked excellently with my other products. 2 pumps are enough for my face, if I use more it doesn’t absorb properly and works poorly with the rest of my skincare products. But 2 gives the desired effect, so I don’t need more, in the month I’ve used this I’ve barely noticed a decrease in the bottle, so this will last a long time. My sensitive eyes had no problem with this! There are few products my eyes don’t react to, so the fact that this causes no stinging or reaction at all is just wonderful! This is actually allergy-friendly! So to conclude; After a month with this I have nothing negative to share. It absorbs quickly into the skin and pairs nicely with the other skincare products I usually use. I’ve used this after applying retinol and before a thicker moisturizer. As soon as I opened it and smelled the fresh scent, I quickly realized that this was a cream for me. I feel that my skin is full of moisture and I feel super fresh after applying it. The cream absorbs quickly into the skin and lasts for me all day. It says that this cream is supposed to reduce wrinkles, but I haven't experienced that yet.
