Great for damaged hair?
I am disappointed with this product. I already use several products from #amika and have been very satisfied until now. But this time, not. I can start by saying that my hair is untreated. It is healthy and fresh with little wear. I have a coarse hair type with the challenges that brings. I had quite high expectations for this. I hoped it would make my hair tangle a little less and give it a bit more shine. I have tested it both on wet freshly washed hair and on dry hair, in large amounts and small amounts. Without the result being different. I felt that my hair became more moisturized and fresher by using this. On the positive side, I can mention that it smells good and mild. The product is easy to dose, very good pump on the bottle. I also like the consistency, it is not sticky and the product is easy to distribute in the hair. I have seen some write that you get the best effect if the hair is already treated/damaged, but that doesn't make any sense. Super cute kit for the little one
This is a super cute kit that comes in a lovely toiletry bag - perfect for anyone wanting to give this as a gift. The contents are also of good quality. The cloths are super soft and gentle on the little one's skin. The soap is really lovely. I find it hard to find good soap that doesn't irritate my little one's skin since he is an atopic like me, but this one worked fine. I've tested it for three baths, and it has gone well every time. The hairbrush is a bit too soft for my son, who is 21 months old and has thick hair, but for a newborn, it is perfect. The brush works better as a shower brush for him instead. The only thing that prevents me from giving this kit a full score is the oil. The oil itself is superb. It's probably the best baby oil I've used. But I can't stand screw caps for products I need to use at the changing table. They disappear so easily and take time to screw off. You can be stressed one day, and that day will be the last day you see the cap. No, screw caps belong at home among medications and food, not something like this. Unfortunately no WOW for me
As #lykoinflutester I have tested this dry shampoo from #amika in the last month 🌸 About me: ● Soon 44 years old ● I have typical Scandinavian hair quality. Thin fine hair. Neither thick nor super thin hair, but somewhere in between. I have colored, medium-length hair. ● My scalp tends to get oily quickly (partly due to working with a safety helmet). At the same time, the lengths are a bit dry and brittle. It gets worn out quickly, even though I go to the hairdresser every five weeks to color my roots. And every/other time she trims the ends. So a bit problematic hair anyway 😁 ● To spare the lengths, I try not to wash my hair more often than every third/fourth day, which is why dry shampoo is my salvation 1-2 days before washing. For my scalp, I would prefer to be washed every day 😉 About the product: ● Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do the job for me 😒 Which is really a shame because I had high expectations for this product. ● I have tried applying it in different ways. Both from a distance and up close, a lot of product or a little product. I have tried just brushing through my hair after application. I have tried massaging the product in. I have tried letting the product sit for a while and then massaging it in. I have also tried letting the product sit for a while, but not massaging it in, just brushing. ● Unfortunately, I get the same result every time, my hair still looks oily, with a slight dusty surface. The product unfortunately does not want to cooperate with my scalp at all. ● I still have to give a positive rating for the pretty bottle and that it smells good. ● The scent itself can indeed lower the rating a bit, as it smells quite strong and can "take over". Especially if you also want to wear "regular" perfume. But it smells good! Amika – Perk Up Dry Shampoo
I have used a lot of different dry shampoos from various brands, so it was nice to get to try Amika's version as well.🤩 The first thing I noticed was the scent – it is really fresh and pleasant, and it leaves the hair feeling clean and fresh. The dry shampoo also makes the hair easy to comb through, which is a big plus, as many other dry shampoos can make the hair easily tangled. Additionally, the product gives the hair nice volume and makes it more airy. The only downside, in my opinion, is that if you spray the product too much, it can become a bit visible in the hair. I have light hair, so it doesn't bother me too much, but in dark hair, it might be more noticeable. The price is also quite high. On the other hand, a big plus is that the product does not contain sulfates or parabens. However, I have also tried cheaper dry shampoos that work almost as well. Overall, a very pleasant dry shampoo that quickly refreshes the hair and gives it the desired volume. Good Rehydration
As #lykoinflutester, I have recently tested this hair mask from #amika 🌸 About me: ● Soon 44 years old ● I have typical Scandinavian hair quality. Thin fine hair strands. But I still feel that the lengths are softer and don't feel as dry at all. ● I have chosen to apply it to dry hair (you get to choose 😊), before bedtime. After that, I brush through my hair and put it in a silk cap that I sleep with. ● I experience no annoying coatings or residues, but wake up with soft and rehydrated lengths/ends. ● 2 pumps are just right for my hair, and I apply it from the earlobe downwards. If you choose to apply it to wet hair, it probably takes less product. It feels like it's liiittle harder to get the product into dry hair, but I have still chosen that method 😊 ● The hair mask smells very good. Maybe a bit "old-fashioned". Nice formula but not for my hair
I got to test this conditioner from LYKO as an Influtester ✨ The review was supposed to come up earlier, but unfortunately got a bit delayed due to health issues. I think the conditioner smells really good and has a nice, light formula 🌸 It feels like a lightweight conditioner and doesn't weigh down the hair. My hair felt light after use, but also somewhat coarse. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite suit my hair, as my hair is sensitive to proteins and mainly needs a lot of moisture. Both the shampoo and conditioner in the series have a good price 💰, which I think is a big plus. Good conditioner for the price
As #lykoinflutester I have tested the Pure Cure Scalp conditioner #bylyko The conditioner comes in a simple and nice green bottle, I really like the color💚 I might wish that the products came in a pump bottle instead so it would be a bit easier to dose, but otherwise there is nothing to complain about this. But it is still economical even without a pump as you need little. The bottle comes in 250 ml, which is a perfect size for most things, but it could have been available in a larger size for my part. The conditioner has a thick consistency that is easy to distribute in the hair. It has a mild and pleasant scent that is nice for those who are sensitive to smells. I notice right away, after the first use, that my scalp feels better and the itchiness that easily occurs after washing my hair is not there, and my hair feels clean as it is a conditioner that does not weigh the hair down. I think my hair stayed clean for several days afterwards, which surprised me as I usually get greasy hair the very next day, or at most two days, then it has to be washed again. With this combined with the shampoo, it actually lasted 3-4 days before it got greasy. It also seems that this series is very mild on my scalp as I have a sensitive scalp that easily itches and flakes, and I have had less itching and flaking since I started with this. So my scalp loved this. I washed my hair every other day with 2 times with shampoo from the same series and then applied this conditioner and let it sit for a few minutes, and even though I did that, I don’t think the conditioner provided enough nourishment/moisture for my long color-treated hair as I feel it made my hair drier in the long run. But I also tested with a hair mask that provided moisture once a week in addition, and then it worked very well, but that is the only negative I found with this conditioner after testing it for several weeks. So I would really recommend this conditioner along with the shampoo for sensitive, dry, itchy scalp and for those who have hair and scalp that tend to get greasy easily. Sulfate-free shampoo that cleans well, but not right for my hair
I got to test this shampoo from LYKO as an Influtester. 💚 A bit about my hair: I have fine and very sensitive hair with low porosity. I have also had long-term issues with my scalp and hair strands that easily break, which makes me quite careful about which products I use. The shampoo is sulfate-free, which I appreciate. It is easy to apply to the scalp, lathers just right, and has a pleasant scent. After washing, my hair felt clean and my scalp fresh. The formula contains, among other things, salicylic acid and piroctone olamine, ingredients that can be good for scalp balance. However, the shampoo also contains several different proteins. Unfortunately, my hair doesn't usually work well with products that contain a lot of protein since my hair primarily needs moisture. Therefore, I felt that my hair felt a bit coarse and somewhat dried out after use. For me, this was therefore not quite the right shampoo, but I absolutely believe it could suit someone with normal to oily or combination scalp who wants a sulfate-free shampoo focused on the scalp. Using this every day
I am very satisfied with this hair mask. It is incredibly easy to use, just put it on before going to bed. Luxury!🕺 One of the things I like best is how light it feels in the hair. Many hair masks can make my hair heavy or greasy, but this one absorbs well and leaves the hair soft and natural. I am super satisfied with this dry shampoo. It is perfect for busy days when you don't have time to wash your hair but still want it to look fresh and neat. I got to test this conditioner. I really like the design and the bottle. Smells pretty good, mild and fresh🌱 The conditioner did its job, hydrated the lengths of my hair well, but after I blow-dried my hair after washing it with ByLyko's scalp shampoo and along with this conditioner, I became drier on top of my hair, dry scalp, and felt that my hair got a bit more frizzy in a way. I got to test this shampoo from Lyko's brand. I have a pretty dry, flaky, and irritated scalp, and when I tried this product, I hoped it would help. The bottle and design are really good, I liked the green color and it was a cute little bottle :) The scent is mild and fresh, reminds me of head&shoulders👌 Two rounds with the shampoo and after that, when I blow-dried my hair, I noticed a difference in how my hair was.. it actually became drier and wasn't as pleasant as I thought it would be. My hair didn't feel as airy and light as I'm used to (I have VERY long hair, 1 meter long/down to my butt) It's probably just that I react to it, and that's totally okay. Smooth Moisture Boost
I have tested the Amika Dream Routine Overnight Hydration Mask, which is a product category I actually haven't tried before. Therefore, I had zero expectations when I started using it, but it came at just the right time, in the middle of the dry winter when my hair really needs a little extra moisture 💧 I have quite long hair and usually use about 2-3 pumps, which feels like a suitable amount to get the product evenly distributed in the lengths. Not a game changer
I got to try Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo, and as someone who uses dry shampoo quite regularly, I'm always curious to try new ones. It can really be a lifesaver on those days when your hair needs a little refresh between washes 🤍 First impression is the bottle! It's very colorful and full of patterns, which feels quite typical of Amika. I think it's pretty and fun to look at. The product itself absolutely does its job. My hair feels fresher and the scent is nice. I'm a brunette, so I tend to be a bit cautious with dry shampoos since many can leave a gray residue. This one, however, I think does quite well on that front, as long as you don't spray too much and work it into your hair a bit. However, I unfortunately didn't get a real wow experience from this one. For me, it feels quite similar to many other dry shampoos I've tried, even cheaper alternatives. I've also gotten a bit spoiled after trying K18 AirWash, which I've really fallen for, even though it's more expensive 🫢 I will definitely use up the bottle, but we'll see if I buy this one again. Sleep tight!
I've been testing this product for a few weeks now 😍 I haven't used products from this brand before other than having a really great & pretty curling iron from them many years ago. This packaging is really nice and a bit more neutral compared to their other packaging. Easy to pump out and the formula is almost shimmery (not visible on the hair) and very light, so you don't need many pumps unless you have very thick hair. I would say it suits me well as I might not always have time for a moisturizing mask and it's great to have as protection when you sleep. I don't feel that my hair feels greasy/heavy either during application or when I wake up. This suited me and my hair very well! Love it! Nice packaging with pump bottle! My hair is long and quickly gets a bit frizzy and dry, while also being fine thin strands that make many moisture masks too heavy. This hair treatment was top-notch! It does what it promises, without the hair feeling greasy and heavy. Very satisfied! I've been using it for a few weeks and can feel a difference in hair quality. Everlasting Color Wash
This shampoo came at a perfect time. The same day I dyed my hair at the salon, this landed in my mailbox. I often feel that the brown color gets a bit dull and boring after a little while, and that it suddenly becomes very orange. I have used purple/blue shampoo to tone it down before, but to really test this, I have only used this line for the past few weeks. I think it works well! The hair color has surprisingly held up well, and I even think the cool tone has stayed better. Very impressed in that regard. The only downside is the smell. It smells quite strong of something that reminds me of a men's perfume. Color-protecting balm! First impression: quite a stylish bottle to have in the shower, fresh color. It was perfect to test this series now, because the same day this arrived in the mail, I was at the hairdresser to dye my hair! I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I honestly think it works. A bit about my hair: shoulder-length fine hair, I struggle with scalp problems due to seborrheic eczema that can cause itching and dandruff. Shampoo and conditioner both come in a simple and nice bottle, I really like the color💚 I might wish that the products came in a pump bottle instead, it’s a bit cumbersome to squeeze the conditioner out of the bottle. I would also like to have, for example, a color stripe on both products on the cap of the bottle. Then you can immediately see what is conditioner and shampoo. You can see that there is a faint green over the text Conditioner, but it’s not very visible. The conditioner has a nice and creamy consistency. Easy to distribute in the hair. The scent is nice and mild, you don’t notice it throughout the day. I’m unsure if I actually see a difference after using just the conditioner, but together with the shampoo, they do a good job. I am absolutely satisfied with this series. My scalp feels much cleaner and I have less itching and dandruff. I also think this series is much milder on the scalp than other products I have tried, so I think #bylyko has done a really good job here👏🏼 Even though my hair has become extra dry after use, I would recommend the series. 1-2 times a week, and a good hair mask. Fragrant and Gentle on the Scalp
Sleek packaging but might feel a bit bulky for conditioner. Smells really lovely without the scent lingering too long. Like the shampoo, the conditioner is quite concentrated, so you don't need to use much. My scalp is occasionally irritated, especially during the winter months, and I find that the shampoo combined with the conditioner moisturizes well. However, my hair gets quite frizzy and needs extra styling to tame it. Pretty okay shampoo for the price
Sleek and handy packaging. The shampoo smells really fresh without being intense. It’s also relatively economical, so a little goes a long way. I have periodically irritated scalp, especially during the winter months. With the shampoo, my hair feels clean and my scalp feels good, but I find that my hair gets a bit frizzier than I’d like. This is also in combination with the conditioner from the same line. I feel like I’ve had to compensate with extra styling to tame my hair. As #lykoinflutester I received shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask from #kevinmurphy this time. They come in practical bottles for shampoo and conditioner, and a pump bottle for the hair mask. I have wanted to try products from #kevinmurphy for a while now, there have been a lot of the products in social media. A bit of a special scent from the products, possibly just unfamiliar. But I think they are a bit more masculine products based on the scent. I recently dyed my hair, so the products worked well. The hair mask feels good in the hair, better than the conditioner. But I wish with the mask, as with the conditioner, that it gave the hair a boost. I rely on other products after both conditioner and mask to give my hair enough moisture after dyeing.
