Making good shower foam is very difficult. The products in question will always be compared to the foams from Rituals, which were the originals and took the market by storm ⛈️. I am myself a fan of Rituals products, but I believe I can keep an open mind when testing new alternatives, which I am very happy to do like #lykoinflutester, thank you for the trust Lyko! Lemon-Aid is the third and final foam I tested in the trio of foams I got to try from Lyko, the other two are Caramel Crush and Crisp Bouquet. The foam comes out as a whole, but upon contact with water 💦 it becomes a soft and very pleasant foam. Unfortunately; I am struck by the fact that the foam smells quite bitter and sharp initially. Almost more like grapefruit and not like one would imagine a fresh lemon 🍋. That scent comes first after a while when the scent has settled a bit. However, the scent is milder than Rituals' variants, so if you want something that is not as pronounced, this could be something for you, even if it doesn't quite hit home for me. I do not feel that the foam dries out the skin, and I love the sensation and feeling on the skin of washing myself with the foam! A must for me with weak hands is that it is easy to get product/s out of their packaging/bottles/jars. There were no problems here. Degreasing?
This seriously smells like a slightly fancy product that reminds me of rim cleaner (degreasing) for car rims. I had to laugh a bit while I was standing in the shower. The foam comes out in a nice amount with a short press, doesn't foam well as the consistency is very thin. Foams better with a shower sponge. Distributes well, and the skin doesn't feel sticky. Doesn't dry out hands or body. After a couple of days of degreasing, it went on to a car enthusiast, and his first reaction was "oi, it smells like what I have on the mats in the car to remove salt and grease from winter!" (in other words, enough said.) I don't think it moisturizes more than "all other" soaps, you get clean, and that's it. Pretty and simple bottle with a cap, but it stops a bit there. OK price, but not particularly economical in use compared to products in the same series. I wish I liked this, as citrus scent often feels fresh and clean, but this was too much car in my opinion. An OK shower foam that smells typically of caramel, sweet and nauseating for me. I feel like we can let this caramel trend take a break. The foam comes out in a nice amount with a short press, but it doesn't lather well unless you use a shower sponge. Distributes nicely, and the skin doesn't feel sticky. Doesn't dry out hands or body. Not particularly economical in use, so this lasted about a week with daily use, in moderately distributed amounts. The product is also very runny. The scent disappears very quickly (for me; thankfully). Works as shaving foam too. The bottle is fine for its price, not particularly fancy, but a plus for the cap and that the logo isn't glued on, but sprayed on(?) Minus is that it should go as metal packaging, something not everyone has so easily available. This Crisp Bouquet is number two in the trio of shower foams that I have been tasked to review, I have already started with Caramel Crush. If I could wish for something, it would be that the branding could have been better and more distinct between these two, the bottles are quite similar in color. However, that’s where the similarities end. If Caramel Crush was, as the name suggests, a cola scent, then Crisp Bouquet smells, as its name suggests, very much like flowers 🌸. Unfortunately, I find that the scent is a bit sharp at first, it stings my nose 👃. Once the scent settles a bit, it’s okay, but nothing I would probably reach for. The product itself is good, the foam lathers wonderfully upon contact with water 💦 after first coming out as a gel. It’s lovely to wash with the foam, it feels so nice against the skin and you get clean. A must for me, as I have weak hands, is that it’s easy to get product/s out of their bottles/packaging/jars. First of all, I just have to say that this is SPOT ON for someone who loves the scent of honey! The first impression was the sweet, nice box the product came in, sweet yellow color and the «melted-wax-mark» with a bee on it. When I took the bottle out, I was a bit underwhelmed. It was very simple, no signs that it would smell like honey. I missed the sweet «melted-wax-mark-with-bee-on». But this became clear when I opened the bottle. The bottle has a lovely pipette and for those who know me well, that’s something I’m a big fan of, feels so luxurious! I have thin Nordic hair that is lightly bleached/dyed. This hair oil is light in consistency but gives a bit of weight in the hair. Regardless of the amount used. Maybe better for thicker hair? The first time I used too much in my hair so it looked wet. Therefore, it’s worth noting that a little goes a long way on thin hair haha. I should also mention that I have only used it on dry hair, I will try it on wet to see if it can help/be a better method. It absolutely gives shine, but doesn’t overcome the intense honey scent. I like honey, but for hair, that’s probably not the scent I would choose myself. But as I said at the beginning - if you love the scent of honey, this will be to your liking! In short: nice packaging, with pipette!! gives shine /- intense scent of honey (taste and preference) - weighing effect, hard to find a way to use little to avoid weight but also enough to get clear shine. Maybe better for thicker hair? Does its job, but not my new favorite. It’s been some busy days so I haven’t had time to take before and after pictures, I’ll see if I can do that in a few days. I got to test Waterclouds Dry Argan Oil Spray and was surprised by the product's ease of use. The spray promises to smooth, control frizz, and give shine to all hair types as the final step in styling. Based on my experience, the product gives just the right amount of shine without making the hair look greasy or heavy, but you should be careful with the dosage 😊 applying the product is not as controlled as with traditional hair oils, but I like that I don't have to wash my hands after use, it's really ready-to-go. So the essence of my experience is that this product is not for anyone with dry skin. It is not for anyone who does not like very strong scents. And for me, the scents were incredibly synthetic. This surprised me!
I find the bottle to be simple, yet stylish and with clear text. The design also makes it fit well on the bathroom shelf, it doesn't take up more space there than necessary. The product transforms from runny and loose in consistency to a creamy, fluffy foam quickly after being dispensed. It forms a generous foam quite quickly, and I haven't had to work so much mechanically as it fluffs up a lot and fast. A little goes a long way! It's a quality that provides a luxurious shower experience. I find the citrus scent to be fresh and invigorating even though I usually prefer more floral scents. I still liked it as the scent is perceived as more discreet; if you want more fragrance in your products, you might want to try another. But the scent you do notice lingers for quite a while after the shower, which I like! The gel easily removes dirt and impurities and feels soft and gentle on the skin. I find it suitable for daily use as it is not drying at all. This is apparently because the surfactants clean gently and it is pH-friendly for the skin. It's an affordable, "basic" shower cream that suits most people well, it works great for shaving legs too, the foam doesn't just disappear like some others can after a few minutes! Effective and long-lasting with a sweet scent
To start with, the packaging is practical, a pump bottle that first gives a runny gel solution that then transforms into foam quite quickly, you need to use a bit more the first time, otherwise it’s easy to use. Maybe a bit slow for my hands, but that probably has more to do with me than the product itself! I have very small hands. It’s pretty, has an aesthetic look that is typical for By Lyko series and practical, easy to use even if your hands are wet. I like everything from floral to slightly sweet scents, and this one has a discreet, sweet scent, I think of “sweet-nut-caramel” which I really like. It gives a soft lovely foam that cleans effectively without drying out the skin afterwards, so it’s suitable for daily use. I find it to be long-lasting, a little goes a long way. I can’t find any negative things except that it’s very runny at first before it starts to foam, so some might run around, but that’s the only thing I reacted negatively to! It’s a reasonably priced and good basic cleanser for the body without containing too many strange caring ingredients. The shower foam that comes out is very runny at first but transforms into a proper foam shortly after. If I want to be picky, I would have liked to get foam right away as I feel it runs a bit, but that doesn't really affect the product and therefore doesn't affect my review. I have used this and the 2 others I tested from the same series for almost 1 month. I have found that they all have good but discreet scents, this one was hard to describe, not quite the best floral scent, but I like it anyway. The shower foam has not dried out my skin and is therefore suitable for daily use. I was looking for more info on why I felt this way? The foam is apparently made of mild, cleansing surfactants that clean and are pH-friendly for the skin. Probably why the skin doesn't feel dry!? Since the foam becomes so rich and abundant, these have become a new favorite when shaving my legs, it is wonderful as "shaving cream". A tip for you others. I have always had a special expensive product for this, but this for a fraction of the price does it at least as well! Unfortunately not a favorite
This is a product I was very excited about and waited for it to come to the US due to the hype on social media, but unfortunately not a favorite of mine. I have tried to use it several times a week over a longer period, but it hasn't grown on me. The formula is quite thin (transfers easily when applied) and is also difficult to build. I feel like the lashes don't get particularly longer, they become stubby and clump together. I have tried different techniques with multiple layers, but haven't found anything that works and gives a good result. In comparison; My lashes are quite long and straight, so I need a mascara that holds the curl, separates, and gives volume without sacrificing length. I tested this new product from Waterclouds, the Dry Argan Oil Spray! During winter, my hair needs extra shine and moisture, so the oil comes in handy! 🤭 I have a very mixed feeling about this! The product itself works okay for me, I used it to finish my hair routine and for example when opening curls. I have fine hair, and sometimes oils can be too heavy and give a "flat" result. Waterclouds' argan oil was light and almost unnoticeable in my hair, so that's a plus! 🥰 but I just don't like this packaging at all!! Because of the hairspray-like can, the oil can't be dosed precisely, and I noticed that the whole bathroom gets covered in oil if I spray it directly onto my hair. The packaging is also not travel-friendly. Super good durability!
The first impression is good durability, but you need to be a bit quick with the application as it dries down quickly. I think it reminds me of Mac's concealer Studio Fix in the formula, which has similar properties. I’m generally not a concealer fan, as I usually think that a full-coverage foundation covers sufficiently, also under the eyes, where I usually use as little product as possible since it (at least for me) just tends to emphasize fine lines in the thin skin under the eyes and makes me look both older and more tired 🙈 I’ve tried all the tips and tricks I could find, and tested different concealers, but still am not satisfied with the result of concealer under the eyes. That said, I of course tested with concealer under the eyes with this one anyway, and I think it’s probably more beneficial to use a concealer that is more moisturizing under the eyes than what this one is, and that doesn’t "dry" in the same way. That it sets and "dries" is great when it comes to other areas of the face, but not just on the thin skin under the eyes! Hair oil for someone with really thick hair
I have tested this leave-in hair oil from #hairsyrup as #lykoinflutester for a few weeks and was immediately curious about it since it can be used both as a primer on freshly washed hair and as a finish on dry hair. For reference, I have long, thick, highlighted, and quite frizzy hair that is currently a bit damaged at the ends. I need a lot of moisture and products that really make a difference when it comes to shine and frizz control. What I noticed first was how incredibly light the oil is in consistency – it feels almost dry in texture, however, it feels a bit heavy after application, and I can imagine that for someone with really fine hair it might feel heavy. It is very economical and easy to dose thanks to the nice glass bottle, which also feels luxurious and looks amazing. The result is clearly visible: the hair gets a nice shine, looks healthier, and feels softer. In my before and after pictures, the difference is really noticeable. The only downside for me is the scent. It is quite intense and becomes a bit too much for my taste. Great alternative to regular argan oil with pump/dropper!
A little about me: fine, shoulder-length hair that easily gets oily at the roots but dry at the ends (and that's why I love hair oil) and that can easily be weighed down by too much or too heavy hair products. This argan oil in a spray bottle is a really good alternative to regular hair oil, it’s not as heavy and easy to overdose. The spray bottle distributes the product easily and nicely over the entire hair - with much less mess than having to use your hands! Great for you with fine hair or for you who want to apply hair oil to dry hair. The downside is that it doesn't work as effectively as regular hair oil. I like to use it when I want to protect my hair a little extra between washes, especially now that the air is dry and chilly. This way, I avoid external wear on my hair without risking it becoming heavy/oily. It’s beneficial to use daily, for example before a long walk or before bedtime. Smells fresh and luxurious, almost a bit nutty. However, it can be perceived as a bit "mediocre" (lol!). Feels light in the hair
I have dry and curly hair that often needs a little extra care, especially between washes. That's why I'm always on the lookout for products that can refresh it without making it heavy or sticky. Hair Syrup Honey-Dew Leave-In Hair Oil🍯
As #lykoinflutester I have tested a very exciting product from #hairsyrup recently! A little about my hair: 🍯 Medium thick 🍯 Long 🍯 Curly 🍯 Frizzy 🍯 Colored I can start by saying that the product packaging is incredibly cute, and it especially reminds me of Gisou's packaging style🧸 I love the button on the pipette, which is made of hard plastic, that draws the product itself. I especially like that it is a type of button, and not a soft form. I used the product on freshly washed and styled hair. When it comes to the product itself, I have mixed feelings: 🍯 The smell of the product reminds me of raw honey, it's a bit too strong to be in a hair oil, in my opinion 🐝 When the smell is like raw honey, I personally wouldn't use it in the summer to avoid bees. 🍯 Even though the product has a runny form, incorrect dosing can lead to the hair looking oily 🐝 I got maximum shine and my hair became less frizzy, which is a big plus for me💛 All in all, I'm satisfied, but the product didn't quite work for me.
