Silver Refine Highlight Treatment
I have been so lucky to receive Waterclouds' purple series 💜 It is one of my favorite brands, and I was completely converted the last time I tried one of their products. A little quick info: I have a hairdressing background and fully bleached, thick hair. My hair is very dry, damaged, and porous as a result of the bleaching. My hair quality is currently extremely poor due to exams and a lot of other stress. This leave-in spray has become a new favorite in my kit. Here's how I use the product: 1. Spray on dry hair – start with a small amount and gradually increase. 2. Comb the product through the hair for even distribution. 3. Blow-dry the hair. This helps the hair absorb the nourishing ingredients better while the pigments distribute more evenly. It also makes the hair feel non-greasy after use. The result is significantly softer hair, less frizz, and a light, nice toning of yellow pigments. And it smells so good! A mistake many make with purple products at home is that they often are not thorough, or they are done in 1-2 minutes. It is important to think of this as a treatment. Take your time, don’t rush anything. If you do, you will be rewarded with good results, making the product worth every penny. The conditioner has been used in conjunction with the shampoo in the same series. This was my method for achieving the result in my after picture; 1. Take a bit of your own shampoo, this is to remove grease and dirt - but most importantly, open the cuticles of the hair before you add pigments. 2. Take the purple shampoo in your hand and work it a bit with it/foam it up. This is so that the shampoo doesn’t become too concentrated where you first hit the hair, thus avoiding purple spots. 3. Work the shampoo WELL in, make sure to cover everything and apply plenty of product where you see it’s needed. 4. Rinse out and add the purple conditioner in the same series. 5. After you feel you have worked the conditioner well in, and have achieved an even application - wait 10-15 min. Perfect time to do your other shower routines! 6. Do not rinse out, but add your own conditioner and work it in. Wait 2-3 min. 7. Rinse out. Voila! The conditioner contains lots of pigments and has a lovely shimmer to it. My only negative feedback is that the conditioner foamed and that it didn’t feel nourishing. BUT, the conditioner really did its job when it came to "blocking in" the last pigments. I could see a massive difference in my hair in the shower. If you have bleached hair, you need to finish with something nourishing. And even though this wasn’t it, it felt like this was the star of the duo. There was no problem finishing with my own conditioner, and the result was a real WOW factor. I have highlighted hair that easily pulls yellow if I don't maintain it with some form of silver product.❄️ I find that this leave-in spray is good & smells fresh. It possibly makes the hair a bit softer but not more than that. I would have appreciated if there was heat protection in the product. 🧖🏼♀️ It is watery in consistency & easy to spray on the hair, It is lightly pigmented which can be good since the other products in the same series were very pigmented. 💜 However, I feel that this product on its own doesn't do much to make the hair cooler. I love the scent of this, not too much, just a fresh scent. I would recommend using this together with another shampoo if you just want to achieve a slightly cooler tone. I found that if you used the shampoo & conditioner together, it turned out very purple/gray. As a #lykoinflutester I had the honor of testing this silver refine series. To start with, the packaging is very nice. It looks good in the shower 😍. Something I also like is the scent, it smells fresh but not too much. Now to what I found a bit boring. I have experience with many silver shampoos, but with this one, I find that my hair easily turns purple/gray. Even though I was quick to rinse it out, I feel like it still sticks. Here I have tested their Highlight Treatment, which is supposed to neutralize warm tones and enhance cool tones while making the hair soft and giving it shine. ☔️ I should mention that I really like Waterclouds and have used their products before and have been super satisfied. However, this series is new to me. ☔️ This leave-in treatment is easy to apply from the bottle, and the scent is mild, which is great if you don’t like strong fragrances. The product is lightly pigmented, but since the shampoo and conditioner really tone down and neutralize warm tones in the hair, I honestly don’t know if you need this on top. ☔️ I am currently not as blonde as I usually am but have blonde highlights in my hair. I don’t feel that this leave-in makes any significant change after application. CONCLUSION! Here I have tested their conditioner that is supposed to neutralize warm tones and enhance cool tones while making the hair soft. ☔️ I should mention that I really like Waterclouds and have used their products before and been super satisfied. This series is, however, new to me. ☔️ The conditioner is very runny and ran out of the packaging way too quickly. And the scent is mild, but it had a sour undertone that I didn’t like. It’s a strongly pigmented conditioner that really dampens and neutralizes warm tones in the hair when used with the shampoo. So it worked well. ☔️ I am currently not as blonde as I usually am but have blonde highlights in my hair. I really feel that the warm tones that always come back in bleached hair become cooler and more neutral after use. CONCLUSION! Waterclouds Silver Refine Conditioner dampens the warm and yellow tones in bleached hair well, and it gets better after repeated treatments. I really like Waterclouds, but for me, this conditioner was not a winner. My hair became a bit straw-like and static and didn’t feel sufficiently cared for even though the conditioner is supposed to nourish and combat static electricity. This silver conditioner is very pigmented and liquid in consistency. Reminds me of a shampoo. Very easy to distribute in the hair. The color becomes even and nice. I feel like it doesn't provide as much care as a regular conditioner. But the hair is still easy to comb. Especially with the leave-in spray from the same series. Fun to try different brands of silver shampoo. Noticed a big difference in color after 1 use of this shampoo. Very nice cool color. Took evenly and nicely throughout the hair. Easy to distribute, as the consistency is quite thin. I'm not a big fan of the scent itself. But you don't notice it when the hair is dry. A little (literally) new mission!
Today I received my new Lyko influtester package, and this time there wasn't much to test, vilymmäßigt. Or there were three different products, as usual, but two of them are in a one-pack, so I can't test them directly for four weeks 😋 The brand Verso is known as a trustworthy and good brand in my world, and even though the items can't be tested daily, I will of course take on the task with engagement and interest as usual! It's a box with 30 pairs (60 pcs) of Energizing eye patches, a single pack/a pair of Retinoate eye patches, and a Hydro soothing mask. It's a bit of a shame that it wasn't the other way around in the variety with the patch counts since retinol products are not expected to make a difference with one use… it would have been better to be able to test more frequently. I have tried this product from #lykoinflutester together with #waterclouds and here are my thoughts! First, when I saw that it was waterclouds that I would be trying products from, I was happy, it’s a brand I really like already! ✨ I’m not entirely sure what I think about this product. The purpose of the spray feels a bit unnecessary if you already have a silver shampoo in your routine. This doesn’t have a big effect, but I think it feels fresh and lovely when you style your hair with it. It smells good and feels a bit nourishing without weighing it down. However, there are other products I would prefer to use. And since this doesn’t give a big silver effect in my hair, it feels like a bit of an unnecessary product for me. Nothing super special, but fresh. ✨ I like the design overall, though it’s a bit scary to travel with since the cap can open quite easily. But I just transferred it to a travel container instead. ✨ It feels quite mild, which I appreciate! I’d rather take an extra round than have to be super careful not to get the same tone in my hair. I think this one is just right. ✨ I don’t think this makes the hair dull or matte, but I think the shine comes through even after this! I think many other silver shampoos can make the hair quite dull. All in all, I like this and don’t really have much to complain about. I can also experience hair loss in periods. This is a leave-in treatment that is supposed to refresh blonde tones between washes. I found the consistency to be light, but the hair could quickly feel a bit coated even with careful use. I didn’t notice a big difference in color, maybe just a very mild effect. As #lykoinflutester I have tested Silver Refine Shampoo, Silver Refine Conditioner, and Silver Refine Highlight Treatment from the brand #waterclouds My hair: Striped, needs a lot of moisture and care. I can also experience hair loss in periods. I must admit that I was a bit nervous before I tested these products, as I have not had particularly good experiences with this brand in the past. My experience has been that Waterclouds products tend to dry out my hair, so I chose to take some precautions. I first washed my hair with my regular shampoo before using Silver Refine Shampoo. Then I applied a hair mask before finishing with Silver Refine Conditioner and finally my regular conditioner. I also didn’t let the silver products sit for long, as I have very light hair that easily absorbs purple/blue pigments. This method worked fine and allowed me to use the products without my hair feeling dry. I would say this is a perfectly fine silver series that does what it’s supposed to. I didn’t notice a big difference in my hair, but some of the yellow tones were muted. It’s possible that you would experience a more noticeable result if the conditioner is left on longer, but I chose to avoid that as I didn’t want a cooler tone. Has a slightly strong scent. However, I feel that the products used alone would have dried out my hair, so I recommend combining them with a moisturizing treatment. The conditioner disappointed me especially regarding moisture. All in all, I would say this is a nice silver shampoo and conditioner for many, but for me, it was a bit too much hassle to have to use a total of five products to get a good result in one shower. I still recommend trying this, as it seemed to do a lot of good too! Personally, I prefer blue/silver products in mask form. a great complement to the conditioner and shampoo in the same series. Reminds me of a leave-in conditioner but may not provide exactly the same softness in the hair but still provides moisture and keeps the hair in a nicely cool tone between washes. However, I don't think it would be enough to only use the spray to keep the hair in a cool shade. The hair feels fresh and moisturizing. I also experience that you get a nice shine in the hair without weighing it down. The packaging is sleek and the scent is fresh and pleasant. Nothing that stings the nose when you spray. Silver conditioner of good quality 😍
As I previously wrote about the shampoo in the same series, I have Scandinavian hair that easily becomes dry. So I need quite a bit of moisture. The silver conditioner perfectly complements the silver shampoo and is great for maintaining a cool blonde shade while giving the hair extra care. Unlike many pigmented products, this conditioner feels moisturizing and makes the hair soft without weighing it down. The pigments are just strong enough, which makes the result even and natural rather than overly cool and leaning towards the blue/gray side. Already after a short processing time, a noticeable improvement in shine and a reduction of yellow tones can be seen. The scent is fresh and pleasant, and the consistency is creamy enough to effectively detangle the hair. I have typical Scandinavian hair with fine strands that easily become dry and quickly absorb silver shampoo, turning it blue/gray. This silver shampoo impresses immediately with its ability to neutralize yellow and warm tones in my hair without turning it blue/gray. However, I believe you shouldn't wash your hair with this shampoo daily. Otherwise, you might get a shade towards blue/gray. 2 days a week to maintain a nice shade is good. It also doesn't feel dry after washing. It gets a nice cool shade. The consistency is just right and the shampoo lathers quite well, making it easy to distribute evenly throughout the hair. The scent is fresh and not overwhelming, which is always a plus. Silver Refine Conditioner
I have used the Silver Refine conditioner together with the shampoo from the same line. The conditioner has a rather liquid consistency, but it spreads easily and evenly through the hair. The conditioner adds a bit of extra cool tone to the hair alongside the shampoo, which helps maintain a bright and clean result. I have been testing the Waterclouds Silver Refine series for a couple of weeks and I am super satisfied with the results! I use the products about every third hair wash. I wash my hair on average two to three times a week and usually get yellow and warm tones in my hair. Waterclouds' new series has really solved that problem for me 😃 I like that the conditioner is moisturizing and my hair feels soft after the shower.
