Nice change from black mascara
I got to test the Sky High mascara, and the color selection was so wide that it was hard to choose between the traditional black and the other shades. I decided to try the color burgundy haze because I thought it would suit brown-green eyes. I really like the color – you need to apply a few coats, and I wish the lashes would stay lifted a bit more. Also, the brush handle could be a bit sturdier; maybe I’m not used to such “flexible” brush handles. As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I got to try this shampoo from #LUMENE. The shampoo contains birch sap and hyaluronic acid, which according to the product description should provide hydration. For me, it cleaned the hair thoroughly and left a fresh feeling after washing. It’s easy to work into the hair and has a clean and pleasant scent that I appreciate. However, I didn’t notice any major moisturizing effect or any clear improvement in hair quality. Despite the nourishing ingredients, I didn’t feel that the hair became softer, shinier, or more manageable than when I use a regular everyday shampoo. I wish the star ingredient, birch sap, had a bit more presence. My hair felt clean, but that was also the biggest difference I noticed. For those who primarily want a shampoo that cleans effectively and has a fresh scent, I think this could be a good option. As a #LYKOINFLUTESTER, I had the chance to test this product from #LUMENE. I had quite high expectations for this hair mask because it is described as an intensely moisturizing 2-in-1 product that should provide moisture from roots to ends and leave the hair soft, hydrated, and with a light feel. So the product is supposed to be both a leave-in cream and a hair mask at the same time, but I'm not quite sure if I buy the concept? I prefer products that are tailored for one or the other. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to those expectations on my hair. I tested it both as a classic hair mask with a few minutes of processing time and as a leave-in, but didn't notice much difference compared to my usual conditioner. The hair did become a bit softer right after use and it didn't weigh it down, but I didn't experience the intense hydration or the long-lasting effect that the product description promises. However, I think it's easy to apply and has a fresh, pleasant scent. An elegant musk scent with more floral notes than I prefer
Crystal Emerald was a positive surprise. It opens fresh but quickly develops into a soft and clean scent with a lot of white musk. Musk scents are exactly what I usually gravitate towards, so I had high expectations for this one. The scent feels feminine and sophisticated, with a nice balance between freshness, warmth, and a light sweetness. At the same time, the rose and jasmine become a bit more prominent than I personally prefer. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it lacks the “Clean skin” feeling I get from my favorites. The longevity, however, is very good. It lasts a long time on my skin and doesn’t need many sprays before it’s clearly noticeable. The bottle also deserves praise – it feels heavy, exclusive, and looks incredibly beautiful, just like all Versace perfumes. This is definitely a good perfume, but it probably won’t become a new favorite of mine. My favorites are This Is Her!, Fleur de Peau, and Dylan Purple (also from Versace), and compared to them, Crystal Emerald has a more pronounced floral character. If you like musk combined with elegant floral notes, I think this one could be just right. A fresh and elegant everyday perfume with impressive longevity
This one pleasantly surprised me. I think it smells very fresh and clean, while also having enough depth so it doesn’t become boring or “soapy.” It feels feminine, sophisticated, and easy to use for both everyday and slightly more formal occasions. The longevity is also very good. On my combination skin, one spray lasts more than long enough, and the scent stays on the skin for many hours, if not until the next day, also on clothes. Therefore, I actually think the price is quite fair – it’s economical to use and will last a long time. I actually wouldn’t spray more than once, as it quickly becomes too heavy and intense, especially if you’re around others (bus, plane, and similar). That said, this is not a personal favorite. I generally don’t like very floral scents, and this one has more floral notes than I usually go for. My everyday favorites include This Is Her!, Dylan Purple, and Fleur de Peau, which are also clean and light but with a less pronounced floral expression. If you usually like floral scents, you will probably like this one. The bottle also deserves praise. It’s heavy and feels exclusive, yet it’s incredibly beautiful – one of the nicest perfumes out there, if you ask me. It can nicely stand on the bathroom shelf and doesn’t need to be hidden in a cabinet 🌟 All in all, a lovely perfume that I can definitely recommend, especially if you like fresh, clean scents with a floral touch and good longevity. BEAUTIFUL bottle! I love pink, and the overall look of this perfume is wonderfully feminine... or perfectly girly pop 🤌✨ At first sniff, I wasn’t immediately convinced, but it took some time to grow on me. When the top notes fade, the scent softens and the lovely vanilla really comes through! On the first use, once the scent had settled, it reminded me a bit of Valentino Donna Born in Roma. Now, however, I feel it fits more in the same category as Armani’s newer Power of You fragrance. Both have fruitiness and vanilla, but this one is a bit muskier, and the fruitiness isn’t as prominent. Also, the perfume has a slightly cherry nuance (at least at the beginning). My friend fell in love with the scent on me and described it as youthful (but not childish)... I totally agree! So overall, a really good and long-lasting perfume on the skin that I will definitely use. In the video, you can see how I wash my face before bed and put on a patch as the very last step in my evening routine – super convenient and nice to wake up to a better result. My partner and I tried these gel patches together, and it actually became a really cozy and relaxing part of our evening routine. I stored them in the fridge before use, which gave a fantastic cooling and refreshing feeling right when they were applied to the skin. They felt very moisturizing and the skin became soft and pleasant afterward. What impressed me the most was that they contain patches for several different parts of the face. PDRN Serum
I’ve been so lucky to get to test Cosrx’s PDRN Serum 🧡 First, I just want to start by saying I love the color choice on the packaging of this line 🧡 I’m a big fan of K-beauty and Cosrx. And I’m well familiar with this line already, as I’ve already run out of my own products. The serum has a light texture. It’s a bit thicker than the toner in the same line, but still light and absorbs nicely without feeling sticky. Since I have several steps in my skincare routine, I love that it’s a light serum and I can finish with a slightly heavier cream now in the summer. The skin gets a nice glow, becomes hydrated, and feels soothing 💧 Great that it comes in a pump bottle so the product isn’t exposed to bacteria. The main ingredient in this line is PDRN, which is extracted from salmon DNA (often sperm cells). And yes, it sounds scary, but compared to snail slime, it puts things into perspective. I’m totally hooked on this ingredient, and it seems like my skin is too. It generally feels much fresher and looks healthier. PDRN is known to promote cell renewal, strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce inflammation. I also think the bottle is large for a serum, as they often come in 30ml bottles. I’ve been so lucky to get to test Cosrx’s PDRN Hydrogel Eye Patches!💧🧡 First, I just want to start by saying I love the color choice on the packaging of this series 🧡 I’m a big fan of K-beauty and Cosrx. And I’m well familiar with this series already, but I wasn’t aware they had eye patches in the same series, and I got so excited to test them right away! I love eye patches 🤩 They’re incredibly comfortable to wear and have a lovely, cooling effect! Tip: place them in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. ❄️ I actually tested an eye patch on my partner. He also commented on the cooling effect, and we left it on for about 10 minutes. The biggest difference we saw was when we took it off and compared it to the other eye. He looked SO much more awake, his “bag” under the eye appeared smaller, and we also thought he got a generally more even skin tone. He also got a nice glow, and now I’ve involuntarily recruited him for all future eye patch sessions! 😂🧡 I see a difference on myself after using these eye patches, of course! Hopeless design
Kevin Murphy kind of ruins it for himself with hopeless design and strongly scented products. First of all, the cap is hard to open, even though I have some nails. It doesn’t get better either after several uses. And then the bottle is square and the cap is on the side. You have to take the bottle out of the shower shelf and then struggle with the cap. This is not a design for those with reduced finger dexterity. The scent is also very strong, and it lingers. I would describe it as a scent of bergamot, lemon, wood, and spices. So not a typical scent you find in cheaper shampoos. The shampoo is good! I have typical Nordic hair, and with menopause it has become dry. When I use this shampoo and conditioner from the same brand and line, the hair becomes soft and shiny. There are plenty of better products within shampoo and conditioner that I have tested (and I have tested a lot like #lykoinflutester over 4 years). Heart Heat
I have tested the By Lyko Cheek On Fleek Blush in the shade “Heart Heat.” I previously said that the bronzer from By Lyko was a bit too powdery for my taste and was a little worried the blush would be the same. I see some others say it is, but I really don’t experience this one as powdery/dusty. I think it blends beautifully into the skin, but it is very pigmented, so you should apply a little at a time. I find it best to dip the brush into the blush and then tap off a bit on my hand before applying it to the face, it becomes beautiful that way 😍 I also love this color! Golden Days
I got to test the By Lyko Tan Fan Bronzer in the shade “Golden Days.” This is a matte bronzer without talc that is supposed to melt into the skin. Unfortunately, this was not a favorite for me. I probably didn’t choose the right shade for me, as this one was too light and leans very much towards orange. This powder is unfortunately not as creamy and silky as it claims to be. I wonder if it’s the shade I chose that is like this, or if this applies to all the shades? It’s very powdery and dusts a lot when I dip the brush into it, and when I tap off the excess, almost all the product disappears from the brush. I managed to make it work a bit better by dipping the brush into the powder and blending it in my hand before applying it to my face. But since the bronzer was a bit too light for me, it didn’t show up well on the skin. Tapered Powder Brush
I have now tested the By Lyko Tapered Powder Brush for a little while and have completely fallen in love 😍 Often I find that affordable makeup brushes feel very cheap with plastic handles and the hairs come loose very easily after a short time. That is not the case with this one! It has a heavier handle which makes it feel very luxurious and the brush hairs are incredibly soft, making the brush incredibly comfortable to use 🥰 It hasn’t shed a single hair since I started using it. I have tested it with setting powder, bronzer, and blush and it works just as well for all powder products. As a #lykoinflutester, I had the honor of testing a perfume, and the one I received was “Hopeful” from NUDE beauty. I have never tried any perfume from NUDE beauty before, so it was exciting to get to do that! I am 44 years old and rarely wear perfume daily (because of my job) but I like to wear perfume on other occasions. I am drawn to somewhat romantic, floral, sweeter feminine scents, not too strong or too deep. A perfume for celebrations can have a bit of intensity though. My first impression of the packaging is that it is stylish but quite simple. The bottle itself is a bit “old-fashioned,” it reminds me of my grandmother’s perfume bottles. Still, it has a modern and feminine touch, and I am fond of the rose color. My first impression is that it smells quite strong, but that fades quickly. It has a fairly intense and floral scent, it reminds me of a perfume I had when I was younger, it’s essence of musk. It smells fresh, floral, and a bit youthful. Unfortunately, the scent doesn’t last very long; after about 4 hours it is significantly weakened, and after 6 hours barely noticeable. I was a bit disappointed by that. This scent is still quite subtle, and I think it works well for both everyday use and parties. It’s not a scent I would have bought myself, but I can definitely use it. Perfect for tired mornings 👀
This was actually the first time I tried patches, so I had no real expectations, but I was positively surprised! I really like that the jar contains three different shapes and not just classic eye patches. This allows you to "spot treat" several different areas depending on what the skin needs, or use them all at once, kind of like a full face mask. It feels both thoughtful and a bit more fun than many similar products. I chose to store mine in the fridge, which I can definitely recommend. The cooling sensation makes a big difference, especially in the morning when you’re a bit puffy or tired. I tested them both morning and evening. In the morning, I felt they helped reduce puffiness under the eyes and gave the skin a nice glow. Makeup also applied unusually well afterward, which was a big plus. In the evening, they were very comfortable to use after a long day in front of the computer. However, I can’t say I noticed any clear difference in fine lines during the time I tested the product. On the other hand, they gave a solid moisture boost, a refreshing feeling, and definitely helped with morning puffiness, which for me is a big advantage.
