Good or bad?
I tested the new Garnier cream and here are some thoughts. The gel consistency is good, it reminds me of the Benefit primer. ✅That's a positive point. ✅The cream's description says it's moisturizing and refreshing, and I really felt that. ❌But here’s the problem: it smells way too strong for a face product. Today I tried Garnier's curl products ✨ Here is my review, The products smell really good - if you're not a huge fan of strong scents, you might not like these. They have a distinct scent of a bit of everything ”fruit salad, candy, coconut” 🥑🥥🍓🥭🍭🍬 My hair felt soft, the curls were light & there was no build-up or any product/oily feeling in the hair. At all!! Quite easy to get that from other curl products. Forgotten Product and Mascara Test
When I suggested hair masks to a friend yesterday, she asked if I had tried Olaplex. Of course, I have, but I also completely forgot that I tested (and that I even bought) Olaplex curl gel! Today I'm testing it along with Umberto Giannini's mousse (mousse first, then gel). The instructions say to use it as the only product, but I'm skeptical, so I'm trying it this way first. In the pictures, the hair is 80%(-ish) dry and without scrunching the curls, but they never became stiff, so it looks pretty much the same as 💯 dry, just lighter. The first impression is good. It promises frizz-free curls for 72 hours. I think, maybe not on that, but we'll see tomorrow how it looks on day 2! I'm testing to compare BBIA's two black mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red one without fibers), and on the left in the picture, I have three layers of the red one, and on the right, I have the blue. Minimal difference, possibly a little more volume on the red. Mild but cleansing
I use micellar water as a cleanser every day and have done so for many years. I have had a small sink in the bathroom, so even if I want to wash with something else, it only works if I shower, otherwise I have used Garnier's micellar water and that is the one I compare with. First, I want to mention the size of this product; you get a lot of product for the money! The water itself feels gentler on the skin than Garnier. A bit like it goes a little towards the oily side without being oil, if anyone understands. Cleansing-wise then? I have found that Garnier has beaten the well-known good Bioderma in effectiveness, and I think CosrX is very close to Garnier. The last little bit I actually think is just because it IS gentler on the skin, and I can take that! Which one will I buy going forward? It probably depends on the condition of my skin. I think Cosrx might be a little better for me, but Garnier's price is hard to beat. I would say I continue to hold them both in high regard! A little background on my skincare routine. For over 10 years, I have been using Lancôme's skincare products serum, Lancôme Renergie Multi-Lift Ultra, and face water. Absolutely I love Lancôme serum and face water. Lancôme's face cream did not give the results I expected. The cream melted quickly and did not get sticky, and the scent was really nice. But with lifting it did not help (against signs of aging) nor against fine lines. Maybe Lancôme face cream is not for me. The cream is expensive and looks luxurious, just like Lancôme products are known, and everyone wants to try. Expensive and luxury products are not worth it if they do not give the results one expected. Why have I used Lancôme even though I see no results? Because I did not dare to try many different products since I have very sensitive skin and get irritation easily. Yes, I have tested using products that contain C vitamins, and my skin does not tolerate that. Last week I bought Garnier aloe hydrating 48h moisturizer, and I have been using this product for a week now, and I am very pleased with it. Results -Gives a lot of hydration -Makes skin very soft -Looks 5 years younger -Cheap -Has a very mild scent -Smells of Aloe -Melts in quickly -Is not sticky The best result with the cream I can see, my skin is getting better, gives a lot of glow, and I look 5 years younger and I get healthier skin ❤️. Even my mom asked which cream I have used. I regret that I had not used Garnier aloe hydrating cream earlier.
