Pretty okay scent, but heavy
I received this as #lykoinflutester and have used it a couple of days here and there to form an opinion. The first impression is good, as the bottle is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately the scent itself doesn't hit particularly well with me. My scent favorites are Memo Paris's Lalibela Oud, Diptique's Fleur de Peau, Versace’s Dylan Purple Pour Femme, and Zadig & Voltaires This is her. The only similarity this perfume has to those is that it contains musk, but that is not what stands out in this perfume. I think it smells a bit fruity - it contains orange blossom, so I assume that's what I'm sensing. It also has a soapy note, probably from lavender. I would absolutely not say that the perfume is bad, it is good and I know that it is many people's absolute go-to perfume, but for me the notes were off, and it is quite strong/intense. I also struggle a bit with migraines and this triggers me throughout the day. Convinced and new favorite!
I, as #lykoinflutester, have been so lucky to receive #ysl's amazing Libre perfume to test 🌸 First, I must say that personally, I am quite picky when it comes to scents and can like a mix of sweeter and more feminine fragrances, but also more pronounced ones. And this perfume delivers all of that! 🤩 I am the person who absolutely does not like the scent of lavender and always steers clear of it, but here YSL has really nailed it and has now convinced me that lavender is something everyone can like 🪻 An extra plus is that this perfume actually lasts without being too much. And we must not forget the incredibly beautiful and luxurious design they have done on the bottle, this is a bottle that is also just as nice to have on display and decorates 🖤 I would absolutely recommend this perfume, even to those who are a bit skeptical. Luxurious, but not for me.
So, if I got happy & excited when I received YSL’s Libre as an influencer assignment?! At the same time, I suspected that this might not really be my scent. Since Nina and I talked about this, as she has had it as a favorite, but described it as a scent that is not “for me”. And yes, my suspicions were confirmed. Reviewing scents is what I find the hardest. But I will do my best. YSL’s Libre is described as a scent for the strong and brave woman. And I think that’s a perfect description for who the scent suits. Libre is a super-feminine scent. It is luxurious & sophisticated. The bottle feels luxurious, and YSL is probably associated with luxury by most. According to the description, the first scent notes should be lavender and orange blossom. Then it describes, among others, mandarin oil, Arabian jasmine, vanilla extract, and musk. My own experience of Libre is that I only smell orange blossom. 🤔 And unfortunately… Libre is way too heavy for me. And no, it’s not super heavy. There are many heavier scents. But I felt already at the first use that it was too heavy for me. It’s of course a matter of taste what one likes and feels comfortable in. But if you like, like me, light floral scents, and occasionally a bit sweet scents (like Dolce & Gabbana’s devotion), then Libre is not the right scent. However, I have to give Libre that it has a really good longevity on the skin. An EDP lasts longer than an EDT. But Libre has extra long (good?) longevity, I think. My favorite scent
I was about to faint from happiness when I picked up the package from the post office and saw that I had received this for testing #lykoinflutester 🤍 I love #YSL perfumes!!! Feminine Sensuality in a Bottle
I have always loved #ysl Libre EdP Intense and it is my go-to perfume when I want to smell good and sensual. But now that I, as #lykoinflutester, got to test Libre Eau Parfum, I fell just as in love with this scent. The perfume smells of lavender and orange blossoms. It is not too strong and sits comfortably on the skin. I also love how the perfume has notes of musk and vanilla. I have used the perfume several times and received many compliments from both my partner and colleagues. I didn't think the perfume would be as strong as Libre EdP intense, but I was pleasantly surprised! The bottle is simply among the prettiest I have ever seen. It’s enough to spray once to get enough perfume that lasts long. I highly recommend this perfume if you want to feel sensual and feminine during the day but don’t want to wear a too strong scent. Wonderful scent!
I've been able to test this perfume for a few weeks now, and I am so incredibly positively surprised! Usually, my favorite perfume is Si by Giorgio Armani. Now that I've tried this perfume, I must say that I've found a new favorite. It smells fresh, luxurious, and grown-up. The bottle is super pretty, and the perfume is long-lasting; you only need one spray to smell good. The spray function works well, creating a fine and delicate spray cloud upon application. BUT if you can't handle strong perfumes, this one is probably not for you. It has a quite intense scent that I can imagine would be bothersome for those who are sensitive to strong fragrances. I have had the honor of testing this incredible perfume from YSL for a few weeks, and I have absolutely found a new favorite! When it comes to me and my taste in perfumes, I prefer a bit spicier scents. I like a fragrance that makes me feel strong and edgy, and I think this scent does that! First and foremost, I think the bottle is absolutely incredible. It is so sleek and beautiful, and it really feels luxurious. The spray is also really good and gives a nice mist. When it comes to the scent, they describe it themselves as bold and empowering (I absolutely agree!) and the prominent notes are lavender, orange blossom, and musk. I’m not great at describing scents myself, but if I had to put my own words to it, I think it is both sweet and spicy at the same time. You can feel the floral scent, but it is really bold and has a bit of a kick (in a good way!). It feels both feminine and strong. I think this perfume is suitable for many occasions and all seasons, but I mostly use it as an evening scent, where I really think it shines. Once you’ve put on the perfume, it sticks like glue! You can smell the fragrance long after application, and you don’t need to reapply. That’s a big plus! I’ve received so many compliments when I’ve worn this. So a final result: incredible perfume! I have tested #lykoinflutester Libre Eau De Parfum as #ysl, and here are my experiences ✨ Ever since middle school, I have used light, fresh, and fruity perfumes 🌸 I still like that kind of scent, but in recent years I have been on the hunt for a deeper and more sensual perfume that also works for everyday use 💫 I completely fell for Memo Paris's Marfa Eau De Parfum two years ago, but I think it works best as a party and evening perfume for me. Fragrant Perfume
I have now tested this perfume for a few weeks According to the description, it is strengthening, daring & enveloping. With prominent notes of lavender, orange blossom, and musk. It belongs to the floral amber scent family 🌸 I can add that I often reach for sweet perfumes & like vanilla. My first impression 👀 The perfume comes in a very nice & luxurious packaging. It is minimalist, so it fits well on the shelf at home. When you spray, a good mist of perfume comes out that distributes nicely. 2-3 sprays on the body are enough for the perfume to be felt. The perfume smells very good, reminiscent of a cozy autumn evening. It is a pleasant scent. I was afraid it would "sting" in the nose, but it absolutely does not. Final result 🌷 I am very satisfied with the perfume. As mentioned, you only need 2-3 sprays for the whole body, and the perfume lasts!!! It lasts for several days 😍 The scent does not change at all over time, so that is super good! I find it hard to explain the scent, but it is cozy/fragrant, you can smell the lavender and also a bit of jasmine. I would say it is a very unique scent. Summary 📖 This is a very nice/luxurious perfume that lasts a very long time. It is a very unique scent, and you can clearly smell lavender and jasmine. Over the past few weeks, I have tested this perfume from YSL. I needed a new perfume, so this fit perfectly. First and foremost, it gives an insane first impression - wow, what a beautiful and luxurious bottle!! The scent is absolutely fantastic, feminine, and not too heavy or sweet. Additionally, the scent lasts a long time, which is a big plus. In my opinion, the perfume is better suited for parties than for everyday wear, as it gives that little extra🪩 I am very picky about perfumes and rarely find one that I think is 10/10. The reason for this is that I think many perfumes either become a bit heavy and give off some grandma vibes, or are too sweet and youthful. This one, however, is a perfect middle ground, which I love!! My new big love
I've been searching for a new favorite perfume for a long time, as my usual one is so floral and fresh, I feel like it doesn't really fit now that it's darker and colder outside. YSL Libre quickly became the perfect perfume I've been looking for!✨ I still love floral scents, but this one gives just the extra spice that feels right for fall and winter. Lovely scent – I wish it were perfect on my skin
I received the product for testing from Lyko. 🖤 I have tried this scent before in stores, as it is a cult-favorite perfume. 💎 However, on my own skin, the scent hasn't worked, so I haven't purchased it for my collection. Now that I have the Libre perfume to test, I wanted to see how the scent behaves on my skin throughout the day. 💭 The scent opens with lavender and, in my opinion, some kind of floral scent, and rosy/floral scents generally don't work on my skin – just like this one doesn't. 😭 The scent settles quickly, at which point jasmine can be detected. 🌸 At this stage, I still don't like the scent on my skin, but I later noticed that I was sniffing my wrists, as musk and vanilla stood out clearly. 😍🤍 So the scent lasts a long time (note: tested as EdP, not EdT), which of course gives it extra points. And of course, the refillable packaging is also a plus! There is nothing wrong with the scent itself – it smells exactly as described, and I think the longevity is good. 🤝🏼 Unfortunately, I don't like the scent on my own skin at first, even though the base notes are enchanting. I have still noticed that I want to test the scent over and over again, and I may have gotten a bit used to it. The scent is a nice addition to my very vanilla-heavy fragrances. 🤎 As with all perfumes, I recommend going to a store to test the scent on your own skin, as everyone's skin is unique and scents behave differently on us. A completely lovely scent, but..
I have been so lucky to receive the YSL Libre EDP perfume as #lykoinflutester to create a review of it✨ My name is Kristine, I am 35 years old and have a great love for perfumes. My personal preferences in perfume are sweet gourmand scents 🍦🧁🍮 I am also very fond of scents with musk in the base. First of all, YSL Libre is a classic! This is a scent that is loved by many ✨ But not a scent I have tested or evaluated myself actually, as I have had the impression that it is very strong. So I was incredibly excited to test it myself now 🥰 The first impression of the bottle is that it is luxurious and elegant. I love the details with gold and black and the nice logo is like a piece of jewelry on the bottle 🖤 Big plus for sustainability, as you can buy refills to fill the bottle yourself. Cheaper when you run out, and better for the environment. With the first spray on the skin, I immediately notice that this is a very concentrated, dominating, and strong scent. The first notes I smell are absolutely fresh orange, mixed with soft lavender and fruity blackcurrants. When it has dried down on the skin, the warm notes of vanilla and musk come forward, with a hint of woody notes. I really love the combination of scent notes in this 😍 Very unique compositions. This is 100% a sexy, feminine, empowering, and sophisticated scent. I would say it is a perfect warm and sweet autumn/winter scent, and especially an evening scent as it is very full-bodied 🍁 But… even though I love the scent, this probably won't become a personal favorite of mine. The only factor for why I won't be able to use this so often is simply that I find it too strong 🥺 Even though I have only sprayed one spray of this, I smell it so strongly all day (and night if I don't shower before I go to bed), and it almost gives me a bit of a headache. The scent is lovely, but veeery intense when the sense of smell can't get used to the scent like it does with my favorite perfumes (so that I don't smell my own perfume). But for those who can handle it, or have noses that get used to their own perfume easier than I do and are not very sensitive to intense perfumes - this is truly a treasure of a perfume! It lasts a long time on the skin, you absolutely don't need more than one spray and it smells amazing! ❤️ ..just a little too dominating for me right now. BUT I will follow a tip I read about this perfume online. I will let it sit on the shelf for a while and let the ingredients in the perfume blend and develop a bit more over time. Then it will obviously become less sharp and the scent will become softer. So I am very excited to see what I think of this in a couple of months, or even in a year 😍 All in all, a perfume classic that suits so many age groups and personalities. A young classic
This gem has been my favorite perfume since it was released in 2019, and I have truly been obsessed with it. Rarely do I buy the same perfume multiple times, but this one is an exception. I must honestly say that I have gotten a bit tired of it over the past year, but it’s still very fun to get this assignment as #lykoinflutester since I will try to pinpoint what it is about this that got me so hooked: Besides the fact that I am sold on the bottle itself, which I think is a luxurious and sexy piece of art in itself, I have loved the scent as I said. Libre is a wearable perfume that I think works for both day and night, all seasons, a perfect all-round perfume. However, I would say it is most optimal for the evening, as it can be a bit strong for scent-sensitive colleagues at the office. I find that the scent becomes even nicer after a couple of hours on the body as the vanilla becomes more prominent and the lavender scent tones down. (Strangely enough, I have liked this so much since I am not a big fan of lavender). I perceive this perfume as feminine and safe, but lately, I feel it lacks that little extra something. Maybe because I have "overused" it or maybe because it has become a bit too popular, so it has lost its magic for me. (Only because of this does it not get a full score) Anyway, it IS a very nice perfume that has given me many compliments, both from men and women, and it is also a perfume with long-lasting power! I would say it easily lasts about 8 hours if not more, which I think is really good! Not for me
As #lykoinflutester I have been so lucky to test this perfume from #ysl for a few weeks🤩 I am a 35-year-old woman who is very fond of perfume in general. My favorites are Burberry Goddess, Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolute, Gucci Flora, Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl, and Kayali Vanilla 28. In other words, I really like the sweeter scents. The first impression of the perfume was very good! Nyyyydely bottle! It looks elegant and fits very nicely in my perfume collection. The scent, however, was unfortunately not for me. I think it smells a lot like strong soap. I suspect it’s because of the lavender. I also don’t think the scent got any better as the hours went by. But a big plus for the scent not disappearing, I felt like the scent was there for many days afterward. I bought this pretty palette from YSL as a gift for myself. I've always really liked YSL powder, blush, and highlighter in powder form. 🩷 The palette contains 3 blush and 3 highlighter. Just the right pigmentation on both blush & highlighter, but they can be built up, which I like. Luxurious finish
This morning I got up at 6 AM and did a little light makeup to go to work. A base consisting of concealer, foundation, powder, and finally a bit of radiant setting spray. After 9 hours, the powder still looked nice on my face despite a lot of demanding work that resulted in dry foreheads. After a movie where I fell asleep so hard that my eyebrows were stuck to the pillow when I woke up, it was time to reinforce the powder again. 11 hours! I haven't used powder since I was in middle school because I felt like I got a powdery, cakey feeling on my face afterward, both in feeling and appearance. There weren't that many good products in the early 2000s, so that contributed of course.
