Casual Friday! I've gotten ready to head out and get new nails and shape and color my brows. Today's makeup features some old favorites but also a bit of new stuff that I've never tried before🌸 Mascara (volume), blush (pink lemonade), and lip gloss (caramel coat) from Gleeze. Love love love💓 Amazing products at a wallet-friendly price. On my lips, I've combined the lip gloss with Essence lip stain liner in the shade Must have brown. Excited to see how well it holds up throughout the day. It's all about getting it in the right place on the first try😅 Today, I've also tested Isadora's cream bronzer in shade 46. Today I'm testing the Essence tattoo lip stain with one of the Gleeze lip glosses, and here we have a combo that feels fantastic on the lips and looks super gorgeous together. For a total of 60 SEK!!! Crazy when you think about it... The Tattoo Lipstain is super pretty on its own, but I really like the Gleeze lip gloss, so I wanted to try them together. I think the lip glosses remind me a bit of Juicy Tubes in consistency. A bit thicker but nice. I prefer a slightly stickier gloss that stays on rather than having to reapply every other minute. Dashl Copper kiss
My first product from Dashl was a lip pencil and “copper kiss” goes well with my hair color 😋 It’s soft and very easy to work with. I barely had to press it against my skin 🤗 It looked nice on its own, but I needed a bit of moisturizer and also got some shine on top with Decubals balm. Revolution beauty london 5D lash mascara that gives enormous and voluminous eyelashes like false lashes. Good durability, good brush, no stickiness, you get beautiful lashes with a nice shape and no clumps. 🤩 Essence I love extreme curl & volume. The mascara itself is okay, gives volume, nice lashes but it doesn't really dry down. The brush is probably the biggest I've ever encountered, it's extreme, it's as big as a toilet brush and you almost brush blindly as it covers its field of vision. ✨Essence lipstain pencil and mixed foundation ✨
I tried mixing a bit of Idun's mineral foundation with Lumene's Blur foundation shade 4 today since Idun's “Freja” is a bit light for me. They worked well together. A bit like Idun's and Lumene's CC creams also have a similar feeling, these two remind me of each other. Continuation of "rolling" makeup combo
Regarding the problematic combination that caused the makeup to roll up, I have read the ingredients in these products, and they are all three water-based, so they shouldn't separate. It's common for water-based and silicone-based products to separate, but all have, as mentioned, water as the first ingredient (i.e., most content and likely base). But is there maybe something else to keep an eye on? I wrote with Margareta Grääs, and she said that it's often one of the skincare products that reacts with the makeup and not two makeup products... that sounds reasonable because I tried Nivea's advanced serum last fall, and I really liked it, but in connection with that, the makeup started to "roll", even though I waited for the skincare to sink in properly. Super sad. I considered using it in the evening but actually wanted it both morning and evening. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream and Essence grip-primer are probably the ones that don't work together because I've been using the Dynasty Cream for a few weeks now without problems with other primers. The Essence primer is a different type than most others I use (like Nyx Glue and Budgie)... I just don't really know what kind of moisturizer to use that it likes. Anyone have any thoughts?
