On a completely normal weekday, I like to work from a café if I don’t have lessons to lead. Today I’m going to the gym afterward and the glam factor is low but the comfort is high 😋 I curled my hair yesterday so today it was a bit unruly. I added a few drops #hairsyrup in the lengths and a thorough brushing #tangleteezer done! I only have serum #medik8 and moisturizer #beautyofjoseon, no primer today. Casual Friday! I've gotten ready to head out and get new nails and shape and color my brows. Today's makeup features some old favorites but also a bit of new stuff that I've never tried before🌸 Mascara (volume), blush (pink lemonade), and lip gloss (caramel coat) from Gleeze. Love love love💓 Amazing products at a wallet-friendly price. On my lips, I've combined the lip gloss with Essence lip stain liner in the shade Must have brown. Continuation of "rolling" makeup combo
Regarding the problematic combination that caused the makeup to roll up, I have read the ingredients in these products, and they are all three water-based, so they shouldn't separate. It's common for water-based and silicone-based products to separate, but all have, as mentioned, water as the first ingredient (i.e., most content and likely base). But is there maybe something else to keep an eye on? I wrote with Margareta Grääs, and she said that it's often one of the skincare products that reacts with the makeup and not two makeup products... that sounds reasonable because I tried Nivea's advanced serum last fall, and I really liked it, but in connection with that, the makeup started to "roll", even though I waited for the skincare to sink in properly. Super sad. I considered using it in the evening but actually wanted it both morning and evening. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream and Essence grip-primer are probably the ones that don't work together because I've been using the Dynasty Cream for a few weeks now without problems with other primers. The Essence primer is a different type than most others I use (like Nyx Glue and Budgie)... I just don't really know what kind of moisturizer to use that it likes. Anyone have any thoughts? You have to rock your pale skin as best as you can, and today I'm testing the LH cosmetics infinity filter powder, which actually feels a bit like a filter when I look in the mirror.
