Even something a little better than the blue!
Hereās a mascara that lives up to the name WATERPROOF. I only use waterproof mascaras and have wet eyelids and lashes that can transfer mascara onto the skin on the "brow bone", so I need "the real deal" and this one is truly one in that category. Itās not a super volumizing mascara, but it can be built up so it becomes more than just color. Itās easier to build up with than the blue. (The blue is a fiber mascara, not this one) In the photo, I have three layers of this mascara on the left eye in the picture and the blue on the right. It stays put until I remove it with my LāOrĆ©al remover for waterproof makeup, and I never have to worry about it flaking or smudging. Love it. BBIA Comparison Test Complete šš§ļø
I have now finished testing Bbia mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red "regular"). Both are waterproof (and I really mean that š). I have used the blue for a long time and received the red one over the weekend. The photo is from this morning after application. I have worn the mascara (three layers of each) all day and even cried a little bit with them. In the video, I have already done the same water spray and rub technique once before, and the mascara is still on both eyes (left is the red and right is the blue). They are really hard to separate, these mascaras. I know from before that both require remover for waterproof mascara, but today I tested holding a cotton pad with warm water against the lashes for 10 seconds to see if it would disappear, but no! I have tested both while training, and the blue may lose length a little more than the red, but it definitely leaves no smudges. After removing the mascara from both eyes with my usual remover, my conclusion is that the red is actually a bit harder to remove than the blue. Quite marginal, but still. Along with the comparison of the appearance after three layers of each, I conclude that these two are very similar to each other in both feel and appearance. The red gives a little bit more volume and is a bit harder to remove (this may be related since more product that has accumulated on the lashes should be harder to remove). So you donāt need to rush to buy the other if you already have oneā¦ but if you like either of them and one is at a good price but not the other, you can buy the cheaper one š¤. With my remover (which should be shaken before use), I have moistened a cotton pad, held it against the lashes for a few seconds, and then pulled/zick-zacked it from the underside of the roots up onto the lashes. No problems at all! The remover is cheap and sold everywhere. Forgotten Product and Mascara Test
When I suggested hair masks to a friend yesterday, she asked if I had tried Olaplex. Of course, I have, but I also completely forgot that I tested (and that I even bought) Olaplex curl gel! Today I'm testing it along with Umberto Giannini's mousse (mousse first, then gel). The instructions say to use it as the only product, but I'm skeptical, so I'm trying it this way first. In the pictures, the hair is 80%(-ish) dry and without scrunching the curls, but they never became stiff, so it looks pretty much the same as šÆ dry, just lighter. The first impression is good. It promises frizz-free curls for 72 hours. I think, maybe not on that, but we'll see tomorrow how it looks on day 2! I'm testing to compare BBIA's two black mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red one without fibers), and on the left in the picture, I have three layers of the red one, and on the right, I have the blue. Minimal difference, possibly a little more volume on the red. A first test
I have now tested the Bbia mascara āextremeā for the first time. It didnāt give much more volume than the regular (blue) fiber mascara initially, but after I filmed, I applied an additional layer when I had done more makeup, and I still think I got the volume up (might be better seen in the photo taken after the workout) I have had it on for 2 hours of workout and not a smudge on the skin and no āraccoonā under the eyes. Best waterproof mascara and remover for it
Two hours of sweaty dance training and the mascara is right where it should be. I never have to worry with my Bbia mascara and I love it! I wish for a version with a bit more volume, but the advantage of the small brush is that you can (though not done today) use it on the lower lashes. It's so good that some find it hard to remove. I use my classic remover from Loreal and place the damp cotton pad against the lashes for a few seconds to loosen it up and then wipe it away. Day 3 hair and old favorite
If you remember/know how much mousse and gel I use when I style my hair curly/wavy, itās actually pretty cool that my hair can feel this fresh on day 3, and Iāve also brushed it out today. I just lightly sprayed a bit of water over my hair since I didnāt want such defined curls today. Done! āŗļø Clarins beauty flash balm was the only thing you heard about as a primer before the "primer boom" a few years ago. Is it still selling well? It feels like itās fallen off social media and TikToks at least. I didnāt appreciate it much ten years ago, but now I think it makes my skin feel a bit more plump when I pat it in. I guess itās because with age, my skin actually needs a little extra of everything now; before there wasnāt much to "liven up". Summer Smokey Eye
After a summer of ālight and freshā makeup, I felt like doing my makeup properly yesterday and went all out with a smokey eye. Securityš«¶š¼ A whole day at work, two hours of training and not a single dot or panda marks around the eyes. The mascara may have lost a few mm in length during the training, but that doesn't bother me since it just disappears and doesn't leave marks either over or under the eye. I recently bought this blush after looking for a purple blush for a long time. I bought one that leaned purple at H&M a while ago, and sometimes I've used a light purple eyeshadow as blush. Mostly because I think it's fun to do a little different for different makeup looks. What I've noticed is that it's mostly k-beauty that has this type of light purple blush, I haven't seen it anywhere in Sweden directly. Then it's also true that you have to have color theory in your head when looking at blush/rouge just like with other makeup. I naturally have quite red skin, so it won't show up directly purple on the skin. The color instead becomes a cool light pink. It's very discreet, which might not really be my vibe. Easy to work with, but it can't be built up that much. I actually wish there was a bit more pigment in it. Well. As I said, I've wanted a blush like this for a long time, so I got that request fulfilled š And if you're looking for a very discreet blush, maybe you should check this out. But otherwise, I'm not that impressed. The other colors look nice, but I'm not really tempted. New combo for the curls
Tried a new combination for my hair yesterday. My regular mousse is out, and I got the wrong mousse, which I was allowed to keep (Thanks! ā¤ļø) and I tested it with a new gel since my regular one from Living proof is almost out. The mousse is a fiber mousse with 4 out of 5 in āholdā. I donāt know if it reacted that way with the gel, but I find the result to be a bit less durable and less bounce in the curls. š Tips for next Halloween š
There are maaaany different lenses to pimp up your costume with. Iāve previously had a pair that are completely red, with a hole for the pupil, and they are cool but look pretty hysterical. My tip, if you want a pair with color but that doesnāt look REALLY that crazy, is to look for a pair with dark edges and a little pattern, like the ones I have on here. It becomes more toned down but still with color. Thereās a bit of charm in noticing first up close that āwait, thereās something off about those eyes.ā Besides red, Iāve seen yellow and green.
