I tested the new pencil from NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP. I liked that the tip is very precise for contouring the lips. I also tried this marble blush from Moira and I am in love with it, it is so beautiful! I also used it as eyeshadow and I thought it looked natural and very pretty. What do you think? Last but not least, the mascara from Maybelline New York is my new favorite; it gave beautiful volume and separated my lashes just the way I like them. This was my makeup before going out to read a bit at the library. I have normal/combo skin that can get surface dry and a bit rosy. I am 44 years old and have fine lines and wrinkles. I think the packaging is ugly-cute. As in it actually LOOKS like a glue bottle. Not attractive to have glue on your face, but happy colors and I can appreciate the little nozzle because you don’t need much. Classy look? No. Fun? Yes. Or yeah… I understand what they’re going for. That said, my doubtful words end there because regardless of the packaging, I REALLY like the content. The consistency is a bit like a day cream, not sticky. I think it sits nicely on the skin (applied with fingers) and CC creams and foundations lay well on it. I also use Lumene’s CC cream, Lumene blur foundation, and Isadora CC cream. Even Id bare minerals mineral foundation works well on it. And the thing is, I have more base than ever to cleanse with micellar water in the evening, which must mean that the base holds better than usual. Side by side: Ereborian Cc and Lumene Cc
Quick test and display of these two in the shades Doré (Ereborian) and Medium (Lumene). Ereborian's Doré is a bit too warm for me right now, but it is definitely a nice CC cream! Perfect for summer! It has a little less glow than Lumene, which is totally okay with me. I prefer a little less glow and skip powder, especially in the summer. Ereborian is a bit more economical than Lumene, but Lumene is a bit more covering, so for the same coverage level, it comes out even. Forgotten Product and Mascara Test
When I suggested hair masks to a friend yesterday, she asked if I had tried Olaplex. Of course, I have, but I also completely forgot that I tested (and that I even bought) Olaplex curl gel! Today I'm testing it along with Umberto Giannini's mousse (mousse first, then gel). The instructions say to use it as the only product, but I'm skeptical, so I'm trying it this way first. In the pictures, the hair is 80%(-ish) dry and without scrunching the curls, but they never became stiff, so it looks pretty much the same as 💯 dry, just lighter. The first impression is good. It promises frizz-free curls for 72 hours. I think, maybe not on that, but we'll see tomorrow how it looks on day 2! I'm testing to compare BBIA's two black mascaras (the blue fiber mascara and the red one without fibers), and on the left in the picture, I have three layers of the red one, and on the right, I have the blue. Minimal difference, possibly a little more volume on the red. Contrast or match?
Sometimes you want your eye color to "pop", but with green eyes, that means red/pink or purple as a contrast, and that's rarely my melody. I love nude colors, browns in both warm and cool shades. I'm weak for mauve. And I really like green, like the color on the eyes. Yes, the eye color might fade a bit, but sometimes it's also nice with harmony 🙂 I've used the green (the green fades easily in photos. In the sun, it can come out, but then it looks bright instead) to the left in the middle row, over the entire lid and then placed the color at the bottom in the middle over the lid and into the inner corner of the eye.
