As #lykoinfutester I got to try the Nordic-C Feel Good Glow Gift Set by lumene. The set comes in a beautiful package with winter motive artwork and interesting details. The set has 2 products: Glow Boost Essence 30 ml Glow Moisturizer 50 ml Both enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants from nordic cloudberries. I’m in my 30s and have combination skin. I’m used to c vitamin serums and use it in combination with other skincare on daily basis. The serum is nice and gentle C serum. I feel like even those with more sensitive skin can use it. It has a very strong fruit/citrus scent though and I’m not sure that it would be appropriate by everyone. It’s not unpleasant for me but something to be aware of. The cream I have used before, it has a light formula but is very hydrating and lovely for winter days. Works very well under makeup and provides moisture during the day. This product is also scented with almost the same notes I would say. Overall I think it’s a cute and good starter pack kit as a gift to someone or to enjoy yourself. I have tested many vitamin C serums and can really recommend L'Oréal's vitamin C serum. The price is super good for what you get🍊12% pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) along with salicylic acid that reduces pore size. It has a nice watery consistency and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky feeling. I also haven't had any issues with it interacting with other products or irritating the skin. Perfect to combine with the sunscreen in the same series (daily UVA fluid). The sunscreen leaves no visible traces and is one of my top chemical sunscreens. Both products smell good and can be used together without any problems. A little pointless...
I bought a full size of this product because I’ve heard good things about it and like everything I’ve tested from Dear Klairs so far. However, I can start by saying that this unfortunately didn’t do a thing for my skin. I’ve actually never tried a pure vitamin c serum before, as I’ve been worried that it would either irritate or not do any good. This has not been irritating, though. It’s a relatively lightweight serum in an airtight, opaque pump bottle. These are the best conditions for vitamin c not to oxidize and become ineffective. I like the bottle, and the pump mechanism works excellently. However, you have no idea where you are in usage, as you can’t see anything. I think the serum absorbs quickly and nicely into the skin without leaving any residue. It feels a bit moisturizing. I understand that you have to be consistent to see results from any skincare product, so I’ve been using this every morning after toner and before my beloved collagen serum from Revox. The positive thing is that it hasn’t caused any irritation in my skin or disturbed the skin barrier. My skin has recently been very dry and sensitive, so it could have easily gone that way. But this feels incredibly gentle - almost so gentle that I feel like nothing has happened at all, after just over half the bottle. I will continue to use up the product, but I won’t be repurchasing it. I also don’t know if I will invest in a new vitamin c serum, it might not be my thing. I have so many other products and ingredients that I really like, so I feel like I’m doing quite well anyway. Since this is my first vitamin c serum, it’s also a bit difficult to evaluate properly. Unbelievably effective🤩
This is definitely one of the most effective home products I have used so far🤩. I have dry skin and a combination skin where I am starting to see signs of aging. Additionally, I have acne scars that I have learned to live with, but I am excited if I can get rid of them😅. Here are a few pluses first; 👍 evens out skin tone and surface 👍 Is economical, a few drops are enough 👍 The scent is not very strong in my opinion (although it usually doesn't bother me😆) 👍 A slight tingling on the skin (when I started using it, it felt like that for a while) I think it's nice to notice concretely that the product works.... Of course, sometimes it can mean something completely different🙈, but in this case, it meant effectiveness😁 I added even more effectiveness after some time of use by spraying rose water before the product and on damp skin I added the serum. And something I might have noticed if you want to try the product😇 ~KEEP THE PRODUCT IN THE CABINET! I confirmed this with customer service when I couldn't find it mentioned after the purchase. I saw that the effects remained in the product. ~Since the product is effective, it can also dry out, so it's good to have a moisturizing serum etc. in use every other day, or that's what I did to avoid dry skin ~The shelf life is stated to be 2 months 😐, and I think that's really little... But I understand that this ensures the product's 'effect' and I understand that they are indicative. (The Candy Day blog has a good article on shelf life if you're interested). All in all, I noticed after a couple of weeks that my skin was better in tone. I also received compliments and questions at work about what I have done since my skin is glowing 🤭😁. So I can warmly recommend🤗 Do you have experiences with similar products? What would you recommend?
