More effective than mechanical
My first thought when looking at this product was honestly: wait a minute... what was this? I had to check a few times that this was really a product for the lips. The bottle looks completely like a facial serum, and the pipette reinforced this impression even more. I did read clearly that it is for the lips, but I was still a bit confused for a moment. I also noticed that in the product presentation it is a light pink - at least in the bottle🤔 but not on me🤷 For the first time in a long time, I also had to actually check the usage instructions before I dared to use the product. It was ultimately a good thing, as the instructions mention that the product should only be used every other day, not daily. I am used to using mechanical lip scrubs with small grains, so this chemical exfoliation was a slightly different approach for me. The consistency is interesting: the liquid is not thick, but not completely thin either. I would describe it as somewhat substantial, almost gel-like serum. On the lips, it also dries for a while... way too long, which made me reach for the product a bit less frequently during the trial period than I initially thought. The product is also completely odorless, which I think is a big plus in lip products. Additionally, it did not cause me any tingling, burning, or other uncomfortable feelings, even though it is a chemical exfoliation. The product itself, however, works. It gently exfoliates the lips and leaves them really soft. In the morning, I clearly noticed that the dry spots and chapped areas from the previous night had disappeared. Since the lips are exfoliated, it is important to remember to use sun protection the next day – of course, otherwise too, but especially after this use. In use, I also noticed that dosing requires a bit of getting used to. You really only need a couple of drops for the lips, and at first, I easily found myself dosing too much or making a bit of a mess. The right dosage will surely also help with the product drying faster and feeling more pleasant. Overall, this is a simple and functional basic moisturizer that is especially suitable for those who like a light yet hydrating consistency. My first thought about this product was a bit surprising: I have seen these products many times, but I haven't really heard much about them. The packaging also immediately caught my attention as it looks quite small. For a moment, I wondered if this was perhaps intended as a travel size product, but it is, after all, a full-size product. For some background information, I have aging skin that is combination but also surface dry. Additionally, I love testing different skincare products and their effectiveness on my own skin. The cream itself feels very hydrating in use, but at the same time light. It absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave a heavy or film-like feeling on the face. One good point is that you don't need to use much of the product - a small amount is sufficient to hydrate both the face and neck well. The cream is also fragrance-free, which is especially suitable for more sensitive skin and for those who do not like strong scents in skincare products. According to the manufacturer, the product is suitable for both day and night use. However, in my use, I found that in winter it is a bit too light for night use, at least if the skin needs more nourishment in the cold months. As a day cream, I think it works better because its light consistency absorbs quickly and does not feel heavy. I was super grateful for this product in addition to all the above. I felt that it was perfect with another #theordinary hit product. At least I experienced more reliable results. However, I will tell more about this other product in another review. My very first impressions of the product are that wow, I’ve seen such things before, but... The result hasn’t quite been what was promised. I happened to see a lot of good things and a little hype about this product on social media. I thought this could be a good product, but I decided to not read more about it so I wouldn’t have any expectations that could affect my review. I have aging, dry combination skin. There are a few fine lines around my mouth and more around my eyes.🤭 I’ve been using this product for about two weeks every night, and I still can’t believe its effectiveness🤩 I’ve really noticed a difference: in the morning, my fine lines around my eyes look noticeably softer, and overall my skin seems like it has been rejuvenated, or like I’ve always known how to drink enough water🙈 However, the effect requires continuous use – if I skip the product for a day or two, the lines become more visible again. This generally applies to any product, but I still have a bit of a challenge with this one😅 The consistency is very liquid, but the so-called stopper at the bottle’s opening prevents the product from leaking too much. It’s also extremely economical – even though I apply it all over my face, the amount in the bottle hasn’t really decreased. So I first apply it to the line areas and pat the excess product all over my face. Useful Set
I am myself a seasonal lip balm user. Generally, I don’t have major issues keeping my lips moisturized, and I also try to exfoliate them relatively regularly. But when I use lip balm, Carmex is definitely one of my go-to brands.💋 Now that I’ve tried these, my lips were in okay condition. They weren’t chapped but not fully moisturized either. Here is really a good price-quality ratio! 🤩🥳 3 products in one package. Fits in the pocket, bag, and even the car for example. This Carmex Lip Kit Minis included the flavors; Pineapple mint, Strawberry & Cherry. The set contains three tube-shaped lip balms. It’s a good basic set for daily use, especially when the lips need quick and protective moisture. In my experience, these work well as basic lip balms. They protect the lips and ease dryness, but they don’t absorb quite as effectively as Carmex’s stick versions. It’s easy to get too much product out of the tube, so you have to be careful with the dosing. The consistency is quite similar in all, but the cherry-flavored one felt a bit thicker and stickier than pineapple mint and strawberry. (You might notice this in the video when they are applied) I expected maybe a bit more. The first impression was that there were so many lovely new flavors, but the flavors were so delicate that they didn’t meet my expectations. Good for someone who doesn’t seek a strong flavor experience😅 The scents and flavors are very mild - not too strong or artificial. In the pineapple mint version, the mint gives a nice cool feeling and is very light. The set is handy and good if you want to try several flavors at once. I have aging human lips, but without any major lines. The lips stay in good condition. They weren't very chapped when I tested the product. I've only used lip balm sporadically, but Carmex has long been one of my go-to products. That's why I was really excited to test the new flavors – and this Tropical Mix pleasantly surprised me. With just one layer, the lips stayed moisturized for a long time. The texture is light but clearly nourishing, and it's easy to dispense just the right amount without mess. The Tropical Mix flavor is pleasantly mild but still delicious, not artificial or too strong. Additionally, SPF 30 provides important sun protection, making this perfect especially for spring and summer. I use lip balms sporadically or whenever I need it. Besides, I don't know about others, but I tend to lose them quite quickly 😂. I have aging human lips, but I still don't have any serious lines around my lips. This pomegranate version has definitely become my favorite. And it has actually stayed well. My first feelings and expectations were that it would have been nice if there had been a slightly higher sun protection than 15, but it is 15, and I was very excited about the pomegranate flavor. I noticed that this is a really good basic lip balm that moisturizes effectively and feels pleasant on the lips. The lips stayed well moisturized for a long time, and dosing from the stick is easy and precise. The pomegranate flavor is pleasantly mild but at the same time delicious – not at all too sweet. This may just be my feeling, but using pomegranate felt like the appearance of my lips had clearly improved: they looked softer, more even, and more vibrant. 🤩 SPF 15, which provides a light but important protection for everyday use. I have aging, surface-dry combination skin, and this CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser really surprised me positively. My first observation was the pump bottle, which makes the product extremely easy to use – dispensing is effortless and you don’t need to open the bottle separately, which is especially convenient in the shower. The consistency felt more like a moisturizer than a traditional cleansing product, and in a good way. It doesn’t foam at all. The skin didn’t feel tight or dry after washing, but soft and soothed. It also has no scent, so this will definitely suit many, if not everyone. The product contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides. The promise is that it cleanses and moisturizes without disturbing the skin's own protective layer. And it really does🥰 Especially on days when I didn’t wear makeup – for example during vacation – this was really easy and pleasant to use. The product worked great as part of my shower routine, making facial cleansing effortless. I mainly used the product on my face. A big plus is that it also works for the body, making it versatile. It is also economical since one pump was enough for the face, neck, chest, back, and arms.😃 Although it cannot remove waterproof makeup, I used it in a double cleansing routine. It fits perfectly for that. However, I prefer a simple routine, so 1 cleansing product should remove makeup and dirt so that I don’t have to double cleanse. That’s why I deducted one star. I recommend trying it in a double cleansing routine or if you don’t use heavy makeup, due to its affordable price, good cleansing, and moisturizing properties. I hadn’t tried products from this line before, but this cleanser genuinely got me excited. After washing, the skin's protective barrier and moisture balance remained well intact, and it even felt like the skin was in better condition over a longer period. At least the skin felt soft and healthy. Overall, an extremely gentle, moisturizing, and worry-free cleansing product that is especially suitable for dry and sensitive skin. The Vichy product line/brand evokes trustworthy thoughts in me. But.. again, serums with watery or gel-like consistency give me distrust. I feel that they often haven't been really good moisturizers, so this trial was interesting. Not dry, flaky, and itchy 🥴 Absolutely wonderful 😍 The product size is, in my opinion, good 50 ml, and even though the price is on the good side of 30, its effectiveness is so good that the price is completely justified. Power Pack and Skin Beautifier
I was excited about the product as soon as I got it for testing. My experience with #larocheposay products is that if you need reliable and good quality, it's worth getting. ☺️ I have aging, surface-dry combination skin. Unfortunately, this cream did not work in daily use, or at least not under makeup, as the foundation started to roll after application. Instead, it has been extremely good for winter use and evening use. The consistency is clearly thicker and very effectively moisturizing, and the skin feels nourished and soft for a long time. The manufacturer's promised up to 72 hours of hydration seems credible for me, as I did not feel the need to apply more cream in the morning - the skin was still in good condition after the night. Hydrated, elastic, and vibrant. I also noticed in longer use that I did not miss foundation on my skin. Hydrated skin is, in my opinion, very beautiful, and this was achieved here - even very quickly. I also appreciate the product's sustainable development and economic aspect. There is a refill pack available for the cream, which reduces packaging waste and makes the product more sensible in the long run. A new full-size jar is generally clearly more expensive than the refill, so there is concrete savings on the next purchases. The product is a bit on the expensive side for my budget, so I don't buy it often. Now it is on sale, so it's worth checking out. Even though the product did not work under makeup, the very effective hydration, good winter use, and the price advantage of the refill pack easily raise the overall rating to 4/5 stars.
