- The post was made 1 weekThanks to LYKO, I had the chance to test the Barrier Cream from Smuuti and I have to admit – I am VERY, really VERY positively surprised!! 🥹💛 Honestly, before the first use, I didn’t expect it to have such a light consistency. A “barrier cream” automatically makes me think of something dense, rich, and thick, a bit like butter, which isn’t always the most pleasant for my sensitive skin. But here, total surprise! 🙏🏼 The consistency is really light for a cream of this type, it spreads quickly and above all doesn’t leave a greasy, heavy layer on the skin. But the biggest WOW for me was that the cream is fragrance-free 💛 And that is a huge plus for me! Especially since my previous experience with Smuuti cream was completely different. I once had the Watermelon gel version, which was very heavily perfumed. The scent was absolutely beautiful – if it was only about the scent, I would have been in love 😂 Unfortunately, for my sensitive skin, it turned out not to be the best choice and the cream eventually went to a friend. So when I saw this product, I initially thought: “hmm, I wonder if we’ll get along this time” And we definitely did 😂💛 The cream gives the skin a pleasant feeling of comfort and wrapping, but without that characteristic heavy, greasy layer. That’s exactly the kind of combination I like – I feel the skin gets a proper dose of care, and at the same time, I don’t feel like washing it off after a while. I use the oil from Aco as a makeup remover, especially for eye makeup right now. It works very well even on waterproof makeup. Then I do a double cleanse with #smuuti and #dermalogica and then a toner from #aco. I follow up with my favorite essence from #drceuracle, which I, for the observant, also use around the eyes kind of like how people used to put cucumber slices. This is after I had an absurd reaction to Lyko’s micellar water that made me intolerant to any of the products I used around my eyes, but this one has worked and calmed me down. So now I just haven’t found anything else yet. I tend to want to finish things up. Maybe I’ll use some Cosrx going forward since I just bought some of their products. I’ve also used a bit of #eyepatches #ögonmasker sometimes. I’m currently using Lumene’s lash serum, read that someone said it didn’t sting like others when it gets in the eyes... that’s not true. This one stings too and the results are pretty much nothing, just like with others I’ve tried, but you have to use it twice a day all the time, if you forget once it’s over. So I don’t know why I even try. Usually, I don’t use any serum, just this ampoule or another, or both... but both are also from Dr.Ceuracle. Sometimes I also use a clay mask from them. But that’s of course after the toner. I finish with a day or night cream. Right now it’s the day cream from Smuuti shown from the morning routine. I also use the lip mask from Mario Badescu but honestly, can someone tell me what makes it a #lipmask? I honestly don’t get it. It’s a bit sticky and it’s hard to get a lip pencil on the lips afterwards because it tends to slide off. Otherwise, I don’t feel it does much. If I don’t eat anything, it keeps the lips sticky longer than other products but I don’t feel my lips absorb the product, more that it just sits on top. I’ve tried to wait for some, but now I couldn’t anymore. I have several packages that will soon be empty. So I’ll probably have to update again in about a week or so... these products are all okay or better, no real low points this time. So the bottom three would probably be Origins, Waterclouds, and Starskin eye patches, but that one is tricky. The aloe vera is the one that has lasted the longest. I accidentally dropped the Lumene powder, and when it breaks, the contents disappear rapidly, it’s like the sand in an hourglass, I think most of it has unfortunately spilled out. Not the product’s fault, but you know my repurchase still fell on the foundation version, which I consider slightly better. The last picture is of the products I would rank highest among these. One of them is no longer sold at Lyko, but I have bought both this one and the unopened one I still have at home from here because I appreciated it. I really like Smuuti, light and nice feeling. Unfortunately, I tend to like it so much that it looks more like I just got out of the bath when I use it because I use generous amounts, and then it also runs out quickly. Haruharu has also been a very good SPF for the face that works well under makeup and doesn’t irritate the skin in any way. The one I started with after this hasn’t come close to the same level. This week I focused on finishing some of my minis. They also have expiration dates, and once opened, they can't last forever. On Nivea it says "gradual tan" and "natural looking tan." I agree with both, and it’s one of the better ones, but it can still get a bit yellow around the knees where you might be a bit drier. So in that case, start by moisturizing your knees and drier areas with another lotion, otherwise you might get more patchy. If you wax your legs, the color comes off with it—I did that the other day, so now I feel pale again. I can recommend the product. Suntique has worked very well. It has a thinner consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin and is very easy to wear under makeup. I’ve been able to apply double layers and still had no issues with my makeup. No pimples or anything either. I recently got more SPFs in the latest Lovables, but I would definitely consider buying this one again. Smuuti feels nice and cooling but takes a little time to absorb. I probably spray on way too much... but it feels nice after cleansing. I have two full-size bottles of this, so I might keep this one. It looked easy to refill, and the spray still works very well. Small packages are always good for travel. Lancôme - a good makeup remover in the higher price range. I think there are good products that are cheaper. The perfume was Vanilla Nude, which I got as a sample last winter. Smells nice and a bit sweet, like all vanilla perfumes do. Since it’s an "eau de parfum," you need very little, and it still lasts very well. That’s something I’ve had trouble with all the mists nowadays because they’re so fleeting. I was spoiled with perfumes in my youth. Clarins - works during this season but isn’t enough for me in winter. Considering the price range, it’s a no from me.
