The negative and thought-provoking: The texture is a matter of taste; it is very viscous and slimy, which means it takes a while to absorb without feeling sticky. Additionally, the ingredient is in an ethical grey area. Although the manufacturers assure that no animal testing is done and that the slime collection is done gently, there are no independent certifications for the snail farms. It is an animal byproduct, which means it is completely off-limits if you are vegan or require full transparency regarding animal welfare.
