The addition of Face to the brand clearly indicates that this is a facial product. I like that Aco has both research and development in Kista outside Stockholm. It’s close by, so hopefully long transport distances are avoided. I really like that the products are made within the EU. When it comes to other sustainability aspects, Aco works with several strategies to reduce its climate footprint. The company strives to lower its energy use, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease water consumption, and increase recycling. Aco also offers refill packaging for some products, which is great. These are both cheaper and more environmentally friendly. I also like that they make it easier for us consumers to recycle since the packaging mainly consists of common types of plastic. The company also has a recycling guide showing how the different parts can be sorted and recycled. Aco Face Bright Booster is a light facial serum packaged in a beautiful red bottle with a pump. Even though this is a budget brand, I like that the bottle doesn’t look cheap. It’s elegant. I love the pump applicator because it’s easy to get just the right dose. I find this booster very economical. The 30 ml in the bottle lasted a long time! Most often, I only used half a pump each evening. I felt that one bottle is really enough to treat stubborn spots as a longer course. It suits all ages as long as you tolerate niacinamide. It also contains PHA acid and peptides, which the whole face can benefit from. I think the product is easily accessible for those who want to start working on pigmentation without needing to build a particularly advanced skincare routine. Aco states that the serum is also suitable for sensitive skin, which I personally am a bit skeptical about. I find that many people with sensitive skin often react to acids and niacinamide. It might be a good idea to use it as a "spot treatment" if you are sensitive. I really like this product! It’s very effective and shows results quickly, as long as you tolerate niacinamide. I like the packaging because it has a pump and looks exclusive, while not being expensive. Besides cleaning the hair, the scalp should also become clean and calm. According to the description, the product is supposed to be soothing and moisturizing for the scalp and make the hair soft and nice. My hair is the oily type, which needs to be washed every other day to avoid looking and feeling greasy. It is blonde, pin-straight Nordic hair with many strands, but very thin. Besides quickly becoming greasy, it also often gets static, and I have difficulty getting volume in the medium-length hair. I rarely have problems with my scalp as I don’t experience itching or dryness on that skin. So I usually choose shampoos that are deep cleansing or volumizing rather than balancing the scalp. Ida Warg Beauty Scalp Balance Shampoo comes in a plastic bottle that is really nice, with a light green shade and a practical cap. The bottle contains 250 milliliters. It’s easy to get exactly the desired amount by holding the bottle upside down and squeezing gently. About a coin-sized amount is needed for my medium-length hair, and the loose consistency makes it easy to get the product into the hair. The scent is green apple and pear and really pleasant, I think. When I use this shampoo, I first wet the entire hair and massage the product into both lengths and scalp. After that, I rinse the hair and then apply the same amount again. I usually let the second round sit for a couple of minutes so the shampoo can work a little extra before it is also rinsed out. During the first shampooing, it’s hard to get any lather in the hair, but during the second round, it becomes foamy and sticky. The hair feels quite rough after washing with this shampoo, and if I don’t use conditioner afterward, it becomes hard to detangle. My conclusion is thus a mediocre shampoo that fits well with its wallet-friendly price tag. The formula is supposed to be light, buildable, and suitable for all skin types. It should improve the radiance of the face over time. At the same time, it should be able to conceal dullness, dark spots, and redness. Skin Tint contains, among other things, niacinamide, white lily, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C and is supposed to provide 24 hours of hydration. Armani Skin Tint comes in a plastic tube with a pump. It lies diagonally in a stylish black and gold-colored box. It may sound like an insignificant detail, but it gives a thoughtful and luxurious impression. It also feels like a smart way to skip unnecessary packaging material. A plastic tube may not feel so exclusive, but practical for this kind of product. No box at all might be better for the environment, but the nice box is needed for the exclusive feeling. Armani Skin Tint stays exactly where I applied it, from morning to evening. The radiance is almost the same at 5 PM as at 7 AM. On a few occasions, I have noticed that the product has worn off a bit on the chin and the tip of the nose. It has also tended to settle in the folds around the nostrils, which usually happens to me with many foundations when I am careless with exfoliation. After exfoliating, it usually clears up, and that has mostly been enough here as well. Even when it has been a long time since I removed some dry skin, I have never experienced Armani Skin Tint applying patchy or unevenly. It has gently laid nicely over the face, regardless of conditions. I don't usually experience that with my other foundations. Armani Skin Tint F1 is a new favorite, but I don't know if I will buy it again. Not because it has disappointed me in any way, but my pain threshold for a foundation is 500 kronor. When I apply the masks under my eyes, they stay firmly in place and don’t slide down even when I’m getting dressed or unloading the dishwasher. It’s extra nice to store the jar in the fridge, but since my bathroom is far from the fridge, I risk not using the eye masks. The masks are comfortable and provide temporary hydration, but I don’t think I see any noticeable difference from before I used Xlash Calming Eye Gels. It’s just more pleasant and cool for a while. If you’re someone who likes and frequently uses eye masks, these are definitely worth trying. Some say it leaves a residue on the scalp and makes hair super dry, while others love it. I've mostly tried it in passing – until I came across Tropical while traveling for under 40 SEK. A budget find worth testing! Tropical is supposed to smell like coconut, but the powdery dry shampoo scent takes over. Totally okay, but no tropical coconut night. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the formula. It feels light and leaves no heavy residue on my scalp. With a little spray from a distance, followed by massage and brushing, my blonde hair looked both clean and freshly washed. I used it for up to five days in a row without problems. After the third to fourth day, it did get a bit harder to style my hair with heat protection, as the styling tools didn’t glide as smoothly. But that’s a minor issue considering the price. For my long narrow face, the width is okay, but not the length, so the fit feels tight. A few cut notches make the mask lie better against the skin – for about ten minutes. The mask should work for 20-40 minutes. I gave it the full 40. Already after ten minutes, my skin had absorbed the moisture. Cutting, fixing, and patching with leftover pieces from the eye and mouth holes went so-so. The hydrogel really gives out, loses grip, and gives up. The skin feels nicely moisturized afterward! It can be used in several ways – either as a regular eyeshadow or more subtly as a neutral lash line definition. I have tested two shades: a brown without shimmer and a light pink with shimmer. Both are nice but obviously give very different looks. How is it to apply? I find it very easy to apply. It’s quick to get color in place, and you can easily blend and correct edges or transitions – as long as you don’t wait too long. I usually do one eye at a time. I apply, blend, and fix the edges before moving on to the other eye. If I were to apply on both eyes first and then start blending, it has set and then becomes much harder to work with. Once it has set, it stays in place all day, making it a convenient alternative when you want an eyeshadow that’s quick to apply but still lasts. Sometimes I've used hairspray as heat protection when I didn't have anything else at home, but I've missed a really good heat protectant that both protects the hair and provides hold. Maria Nila Shaping Heat Spray is phenomenal at giving both heat protection and hold, without the hair feeling wet or becoming flat. Just spray on wet or dry hair before styling, so the curls last longer while the hair is protected during heat styling.
