Shiny hair, but is it the product or the blow-dry?
I won the Lernberger Stafsing Smoothing Silk Coat in a contest at Lyko and have now used it for a couple of weeks to really form an opinion. For me, it scores 3/5. It's a nice product, but I wouldn't call it a miracle product. The result is quite sensitive to how the rest of the blow-drying and styling is done. What I really like is that it combines leave-in and heat protection, so I can skip two separate products before blow-drying and styling. It is also intended to provide heat protection up to 200 °C. But when I compare it to my usual routine with separate leave-in + heat protection, I don't think the result is either better or worse. I have a slightly dry scalp, while my lengths are more “normal” but can get a bit dry and frizzy sometimes. I usually take about 3-4 pumps and distribute it in the lengths and ends, which is enough for my hair!🧡 (this is not a serum for the scalp) I have really noticed a big difference in my hair when I use this serum! My hair becomes so incredibly soft and smooth, while feeling light and not like you have a lot of product in your hair or that the hair is weighed down.🤩 And the scent!! It really smells SO good, it’s a very fresh and luxurious scent and I like that it doesn’t get too strong, you can smell it just right without it taking over. One of my favorite things to use it for is when I do my heatless curls. I usually put the serum in the lengths and ends before I twist up my hair. When I take out my curls, I usually finish with a little hair oil, mostly Kérastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Originale in the lengths and ends. The result is perfect every time, I get soft and shiny curls! It’s a bit on the pricier side, but I actually think it’s worth every penny. When I started using the serum, I measured my ponytail at 5.8 cm in circumference, so that’s my starting point. 📏 I plan to continue until I’ve used three bottles and then come back with both results and a new measurement.
