My new favorite 🙂 L’Oréal 230 °C Heat Slayer
I just wanted to show a product that I recently started using 🫶L’Oréal Elvital 230 °C Heat Slayer Iron Serum. I use a flat iron quite often and my hair is long + a bit damaged, so I tried this heat protectant. It feels light and not sticky, and I’ve noticed that my hair feels softer and not as dry after heat styling. Has anyone of you tried this? No hit for my hair
I have once again had the honor of testing products from Waterclouds. My hair is bleached, naturally curly, and not particularly unruly 😅, but this conditioner didn't work so well for me. The positive is that the scent is fresh and luxurious, and the hair feels soft right after washing. However, there is a lot of product, and the hair quickly becomes tangled again. The conditioner feels a bit drying. Not optimal for my hair
I have tested this shampoo on my bleached hair and I think it cleans well, smells lovely, and has a fresh citrus scent. However, my hair feels a bit dry afterwards, and I would have liked it to provide more softness. For me, it works okay, but I need to supplement with more moisture afterwards for my hair to feel really good. Wonderful Hair Oil 💫
I had the chance to try Kerastase's fine hair oil, and my Scandinavian hair loves it. I have tested it on both wet and dry hair, and both give a nice result; my hair becomes shiny and beautiful without feeling greasy, which is important for me since I have fine hair. My hair gets a nice shine and is easy to comb. The oil is economical; just a few drops are enough for my shoulder-length hair, and the oil smells good and fresh. I received these products from kerastase from @smartsontestpilot to test and review. A quick test is more like a first impression, but I have used them a few times. The packaging is very nice, looks pretty in the bathroom, and the scent is very pleasant and lasts a long time. The scent is a bit stronger here on the oil than on the shampoo and conditioner, but I like the scent, so it doesn't bother me. Smells long and you don't need much. When my hair is dry, it is so incredibly soft and smooth, and my hair usually looks like a frizzy ball in the morning, but it doesn't anymore with these products. Smooth and shiny, and I think my hair looks clean longer and doesn't get greasy as easily. I won this in a competition that Lyko had a while ago, and I must say that I am IMPRESSED! I very rarely use dry shampoo because I find that they smell way too strong, but also that they simply don't sit well in my hair. 🙈 But now I think I've found the right one! I like this conditioner, especially the scent which is super fresh. Not at all as minty as the detox shampoo from the same brand. A good detox shampoo
I have bleached and overall have problem-free hair and have tried many different detox shampoos. This one from Waterclouds has really surprised me positively. It cleanses deeply and makes the hair feel fresh and airy without drying it out, which I often experience with other brands. What I usually use otherwise is Kevin Murphy’s detox shampoo, and this feels much gentler on the hair, and I completely avoided the squeaky and tangled feeling with this shampoo. After use, the hair feels clean, soft, and a bit more voluminous, almost like after a salon visit. A bonus is also that it is more affordable than several of the more expensive options. I like that it balances between deep cleansing and moisturizing. 🥵🦾I know the struggle, so here are my best tips! 💦 Ways to refresh hair after a workout: 1. 🧴 Co-wash/cleansing conditioner Perfect if you have curly hair and want to avoid over-washing with shampoo several days a week. Massage into the scalp (just like with shampoo) and scrunch through the lengths. Rinse + finish with regular conditioner in the lengths if needed (varies by brand). Style your hair as usual afterwards. 💨 Dry shampoo Spray into the scalp where it’s sweaty or oily. Massage in or blow-dry with cool air. 🕒 Quick option when you don’t have time to shower but the scalp looks shiny. You can easily refresh the lengths with a little water + a refresh spray/conditioner spray! Find good hair ties! Preferably gentle ones in silk, my favorites are from ByBarb. I tested the Maria Nila Cool Cream in hopes of getting a cooler tone and refreshing my color between salon visits. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any major difference in the results. In the before-and-after pictures (right is after), you can see that the tone in the hair is basically the same – no noticeable toning down of the warm shades that I had expected. The positive is that the hair felt soft and moisturized after use, and the product is easy to apply. But when it comes to the promised color effect and cooling of the tone, it unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations. One that has something with "mauve" (mauve blonde) and one that is called "light beige". I can also recommend Fanola's "no yellow" silver shampoo. Very affordable and has a bit more blue pigment (which is good for darker blonde hair) without risking being discolored.1 likes
