I usually have more steps in my skincare routine, but with this cream I prefer minimalist π€ The K-beauty products I use from SKIN1004 & klairs go with everything and are some of my safe cards to fall back on when my skin says noβ¨β¨ I can especially recommend the K-beauty and Emma S. A rich cream that smells heavenly of vanilla π€π¦
At first, I thought it could never be worth 499 kr. But just the bottle is really nice and feels a bit more exclusive, love the pump part. Easy to dose the right amount. π©Ά I have used the product for 3 weeks in my usual skincare routine as #lykotestpilot The cream feels rich, creamy, and buttery, but not sticky. Very moisturizing and plumps the skin in a pleasant way. Gives a nice glow immediatelyβ¨. For me, who often chooses lighter creams due to acne, it almost feels like a βforbidden fruitβ to use π It contains fats (but I think it absorbs well within about 10 minutes). 𧴠Was worried it would trigger my acne, so I introduced it in small amounts (1-2 pumps) about every other day. During the test, I got a few extra small pimples that might be due to the cream, but Iβm not 100% sure since I can get pimples for various reasons (need to test longer). π΄ Together with Emma S. Hyaluronic Essence, I got irritation (probably due to the combination of fragrance ingredients). But with my usual fragrance-free skincare, I havenβt experienced any irritation. π€ I totally fell in love with the SCENT and sometimes want to apply more because of it (have to resistπ ). Soft, skin-close, warm. Think vanilla ice cream with a little soft white flower, in a balanced way. But powerful, smells for over an hour on the hand (good to know if youβre sensitive). But nice and cozy.π¦π€ Skin type: 34 years old, acne-prone and combination: surface dry + a bit oily T-zone during the day. Has fine lines. Can sometimes be a bit sensitive, especially to strong scents on the face (but this time it was fine). A bit of a prickly βshampoo-soap scentβ π§Ό
As a #lykotestpilot, I unfortunately havenβt been able to use this very often due to the scent and some irritation. The product contains several fragrance ingredients, and the first thing I reacted to was the scent itself. I find it a bit prickly, sharp, and unpleasant. Unexpectedly βsoapy,β with a bit of a cleansing scent, like shampoo/soap, but also somewhat floral and perfumed at the same time. It can be described as fresh, but unfortunately not a favorite in an essence I want to apply generously. (As a preference, I also dislike the scent in the Hyal-Reyouth toner from Dr Ceuracle for the same reason). π§Όπ π»ββοΈ I probably expected a softer floral scent or maybe more plum-like (since the bottle is pink and has βplum extractβ) πΈπ Application: I have used it as a toner. The consistency is like a mix between toner and serum. A βslipperyβ feeling at first, reminded me a bit of the Snail Mucin Essence I recently tried β but more watery and not βstringy.β Sticky for the first minute, but dries quickly (about 5 minutes). Since I like to apply several layers of my toner/essence, I tried two layers β very moisture-saturated skin then, almost like the skin gets a moisture-binding βfilm.β π§ When I apply my serums over it, I get a more moisture-saturated and humectant-heavy feeling faster than usual. (Usually, I love the plumping effect from hyaluronic acid in serums and can apply generously, but didnβt quite get the same feeling here π§) Irritation: The scent lingers for a long time, at least 30 minutes. Together with the βRevitalising Day Cream,β it was way too many fragrance ingredients for me, and my skin became red, irritated, and itchy (especially where I had active acne). I also experience some irritation from this essence alone. π΄ Skin type: 34 years old, combination: surface dry + a bit oily T-zone during the day. Have acne. And fine lines that I like to plump. Can sometimes be a bit sensitive, especially to strong scents on the face. I will not continue using the product. A nice gel-to-cream cleanser π₯
Of the 3 products I've tested as #lykotestpilot for #emmas, I like this one best. It's one of the gentler gel cleansers I've tried, but you still feel clean and fresh from it π I like that it has gentle cleansing agents, moisturizing ingredients, and a fun touch with cucumber extract. π₯ A simple aesthetic bottle with a screw cap (would be more convenient with a flip cap, but at the same time, screw caps can reduce leakage and mess). π€ A slightly thicker transparent gel, but combined with water it becomes a bit creamier and white. Can be foamed up a little, but I think it feels mostly creamy. 𧴠Completely fragrance-free but smells slightly earthy/maybe cucumber, something natural but fresh. I've tested cleansing both with and without makeup. I don't feel it removes absolutely all makeup on its own β I get some foundation residue left on a cotton pad. But it's water-based, so I didn't really expect otherwise. My experience is that oil/wax-based products often dissolve makeup best. But very nice as a step-2 cleanser or when you haven't worn makeup. 𫧠About me: 34 years old, combination and surface dry with a slightly oily T-zone. I find the product suits me very well. Maybelline BODY Waterproof Mascara x Smartson
First of all, how stylish the design is π€©π©Ά A solid tube that fits the name πͺβ¨. I have somewhat shorter and straight lashes without an eyelash curler. Therefore, I have used an eyelash curler. USAGE: The brush is large and flexible. The bristles are spaced a bit apart. Easy to apply color and build up. Separates well. But a bit too much. My lashes look fewer but thicker. Easy to build volume, lift, and length. But after a few layers, it clumps at the tips of the lashes. DURABILITY: I find that the lashes stay put during the day, maybe lose a bit of shape. Hardly any smudging. However, I do need powder around the eyes for best durability β with more dewy oil-based makeup or makeup-free days, it can smudge a bit. WATERPROOF? π€ The mascara behaves a bit like a 38Β°C-degree/tubing mascara: I can actually remove it with warm water on a pad and dab a few times, it then comes off in small crumbs. Maybelline Cloudtopia Cheek & Lip Mousse x Smartson
8 Enchanted Mauve looks cool-neutral rosy pink on my fair skin π. Very pigmented but easy to apply evenly and blend out on the cheeks. Best application when I put the product on the back of my hand and pick it up from there with a firmer brush (like for liquid products), then dab it onto the cheeks. Really nice. Matte finish. A bit nostalgic too, the mousse reminds me of mousse foundation I used before. Creamy and fluffy soft βοΈ. Stays well with powder and setting spray, but has melted away a bit patchy after 5 hours. Scent: No perfume but smells lightly like the pigments I use for art (not strong or disturbing, I donβt notice the scent on the skin). π¨ Lips / eyes: Didnβt like this on the lips. Feels more like a light tint (not fully covering), drier finish and it settles a bit unevenly there / pigment sticks to dry flakes. Wear: after 2.5 hours + food and drink, lips still have a slight pink tone, but as eyeshadow almost gone and has settled into creases. Maybelline BB Cream SPF50 x Smartson
Tested for a few weeks in different ways. Shade 30 looks more yellow at first, but fits okay for my neutral light facial skin, maybe a shade darker π. Skin type: combination and surface dry that can get a bit shinier towards the end of the day. Usually use separate SPF and CC Cream from Lumene which I like. This BB Cream feels like a moisturizing hybrid of skincare, SPF, and foundation. Rich texture, easy to blend, but doesnβt fully cover my pimples. The finish is nicely dewy but feels sticky β doesnβt fully dry. With a lot of powder it easily gets cakey in some areas, without powder the coverage melts away after a few hours, so itβs a balancing act. Scent: Donβt see perfume in the ingredient list, but I still experience a stronger scent (unfortunately in a stinging way). Thereβs also something in the product that irritates my eyes/nose if I have it close, so both run... Nice finish, but hard to use as SPF for me over the whole face (canβt have it near eyes/nose). Maybelline Serum Lipstick x Smartson
002 Maybe Itβsβ¦ is a neutral-warm rusty brownish red on my neutral skin tone (a bit more red than pencil 05 On It). Pink-brown in some lights. I usually like slightly cooler lips β but this one is nice anyway and will probably suit many β₯οΈπ€ Soft, easy-to-apply formula with a matte finish, but not as moisturizing as I expected. Creamy and opaque at first, but dries down within about an hour and highlights some dry flakes. Scent: Vanilla caramel fudge (a bit annoying scent in my opinion) but disappears quickly. Durability: Okay. After about an hour (walk + water) mostly tint remains. Needs to be reapplied several times during the day to maintain creaminess. Nice packaging, with a small minus for the square cap that only fits in 1 of 4 angles (have to search). Maybelline Lift Liner Lip Liner x Smartson
05 On It turns into a rusty brown warm shade on me with a light neutral skin tone. Maybe a bit too warm for my taste, but I will still continue to use it since you can never have too many lip products to vary between π€π. Easy-to-use pencil that was simple to get even with a slightly thicker tip, a lot of product applies at once. Quite creamy, and a matte finish. Scent: No strong noticeable scent (a plus in my opinion!) After about 5 hours of wear-testing where I both ate food and drank quite a bit of water, unfortunately a lot has disappeared. So not very long-lasting in my opinion.
