Got the luck to be a makeup test pilot again for Smartson (a month ago), this time on a mission for #lorealparis and new products I had already spotted 😍 First impression: The mascara has such a nice chocolate brown color and looks like it gives many lashes with lots of color. Big thanks for this lovely prize Kylie Jenner. The bottle is so beautiful, looks like a piece of art from another planet?! ♥️✨ Never tried Kylie Jenner’s perfumes before and I’m picky with scents, but what a bullseye – I love it!! 😍 Smells so warm and feminine 🔥 Not typically floral, citrus, sweet, or vanilla – all the scent notes get their space ⚖️. The opening is soft and feminine. Sweet jasmine and bitter-sour from blood orange at the same time. I can also feel the warm amber that gives warmth and depth. And benzoin that adds character with vanilla and caramel. At the same time, the perfume feels creamy, a bit sweet with vanilla, and a little powdery with musk in the base. For me, it’s more balanced than a “pure gourmand.” Really feminine sensual and a scent I think many can enjoy ♥️ Quite strong – just one spray on the wrist and I’ve smelled it all day. A rich cream that smells heavenly of vanilla 🤍🍦
At first, I thought it could never be worth 499 kr. But just the bottle is really nice and feels a bit more exclusive, love the pump part. Easy to dose the right amount. 🩶 I have used the product for 3 weeks in my usual skincare routine as #lykotestpilot The cream feels rich, creamy, and buttery, but not sticky. Very moisturizing and plumps the skin in a pleasant way. Gives a nice glow immediately✨. For me, who often chooses lighter creams due to acne, it almost feels like a “forbidden fruit” to use 😅 It contains fats (but I think it absorbs well within about 10 minutes). 🧴 Was worried it would trigger my acne, so I introduced it in small amounts (1-2 pumps) about every other day. During the test, I got a few extra small pimples that might be due to the cream, but I’m not 100% sure since I can get pimples for various reasons (need to test longer). 🔴 Together with Emma S. Hyaluronic Essence, I got irritation (probably due to the combination of fragrance ingredients). But with my usual fragrance-free skincare, I haven’t experienced any irritation. 🤍 I totally fell in love with the SCENT and sometimes want to apply more because of it (have to resist😅). Soft, skin-close, warm. Think vanilla ice cream with a little soft white flower, in a balanced way. But powerful, smells for over an hour on the hand (good to know if you’re sensitive). But nice and cozy.🍦🤍 Skin type: 34 years old, acne-prone and combination: surface dry + a bit oily T-zone during the day. Has fine lines. Can sometimes be a bit sensitive, especially to strong scents on the face (but this time it was fine). A bit of a prickly “shampoo-soap scent” 🧼
As a #lykotestpilot, I unfortunately haven’t been able to use this very often due to the scent and some irritation. The product contains several fragrance ingredients, and the first thing I reacted to was the scent itself. I find it a bit prickly, sharp, and unpleasant. Unexpectedly “soapy,” with a bit of a cleansing scent, like shampoo/soap, but also somewhat floral and perfumed at the same time. It can be described as fresh, but unfortunately not a favorite in an essence I want to apply generously. (As a preference, I also dislike the scent in the Hyal-Reyouth toner from Dr Ceuracle for the same reason). 🧼🙅🏻♀️ I probably expected a softer floral scent or maybe more plum-like (since the bottle is pink and has “plum extract”) 🌸💜 Application: I have used it as a toner. The consistency is like a mix between toner and serum. A “slippery” feeling at first, reminded me a bit of the Snail Mucin Essence I recently tried – but more watery and not “stringy.” Sticky for the first minute, but dries quickly (about 5 minutes). Since I like to apply several layers of my toner/essence, I tried two layers – very moisture-saturated skin then, almost like the skin gets a moisture-binding “film.” 💧 When I apply my serums over it, I get a more moisture-saturated and humectant-heavy feeling faster than usual. (Usually, I love the plumping effect from hyaluronic acid in serums and can apply generously, but didn’t quite get the same feeling here 💧) Irritation: The scent lingers for a long time, at least 30 minutes. Together with the “Revitalising Day Cream,” it was way too many fragrance ingredients for me, and my skin became red, irritated, and itchy (especially where I had active acne). I also experience some irritation from this essence alone. 🔴 Skin type: 34 years old, combination: surface dry + a bit oily T-zone during the day. Have acne. And fine lines that I like to plump. Can sometimes be a bit sensitive, especially to strong scents on the face. I will not continue using the product. A nice gel-to-cream cleanser 🥒
Of the 3 products I've tested as #lykotestpilot for #emmas, I like this one best. It's one of the gentler gel cleansers I've tried, but you still feel clean and fresh from it 😊 I like that it has gentle cleansing agents, moisturizing ingredients, and a fun touch with cucumber extract. 🥒 A simple aesthetic bottle with a screw cap (would be more convenient with a flip cap, but at the same time, screw caps can reduce leakage and mess). 🤍 A slightly thicker transparent gel, but combined with water it becomes a bit creamier and white. Can be foamed up a little, but I think it feels mostly creamy. 🧴 Completely fragrance-free but smells slightly earthy/maybe cucumber, something natural but fresh. I've tested cleansing both with and without makeup. I don't feel it removes absolutely all makeup on its own – I get some foundation residue left on a cotton pad. But it's water-based, so I didn't really expect otherwise. My experience is that oil/wax-based products often dissolve makeup best. But very nice as a step-2 cleanser or when you haven't worn makeup. 🫧 About me: 34 years old, combination and surface dry with a slightly oily T-zone. I find the product suits me very well. Maybelline BODY Waterproof Mascara x Smartson
First of all, how stylish the design is 🤩🩶 A solid tube that fits the name 💪✨. I have somewhat shorter and straight lashes without an eyelash curler. Therefore, I have used an eyelash curler. USAGE: The brush is large and flexible. The bristles are spaced a bit apart. Easy to apply color and build up. Separates well. But a bit too much. My lashes look fewer but thicker. Easy to build volume, lift, and length. But after a few layers, it clumps at the tips of the lashes. DURABILITY: I find that the lashes stay put during the day, maybe lose a bit of shape. Hardly any smudging. However, I do need powder around the eyes for best durability – with more dewy oil-based makeup or makeup-free days, it can smudge a bit. WATERPROOF? 🤔 The mascara behaves a bit like a 38°C-degree/tubing mascara: I can actually remove it with warm water on a pad and dab a few times, it then comes off in small crumbs. Maybelline Cloudtopia Cheek & Lip Mousse x Smartson
8 Enchanted Mauve looks cool-neutral rosy pink on my fair skin 💗. Very pigmented but easy to apply evenly and blend out on the cheeks. Best application when I put the product on the back of my hand and pick it up from there with a firmer brush (like for liquid products), then dab it onto the cheeks. Really nice. Matte finish. A bit nostalgic too, the mousse reminds me of mousse foundation I used before. Creamy and fluffy soft ☁️. Stays well with powder and setting spray, but has melted away a bit patchy after 5 hours. Scent: No perfume but smells lightly like the pigments I use for art (not strong or disturbing, I don’t notice the scent on the skin). 🎨 Lips / eyes: Didn’t like this on the lips. Feels more like a light tint (not fully covering), drier finish and it settles a bit unevenly there / pigment sticks to dry flakes. Wear: after 2.5 hours + food and drink, lips still have a slight pink tone, but as eyeshadow almost gone and has settled into creases.
