Strong Scent
I had the chance to try this setting spray for a couple of weeks 🥰 #lykotestpilot #elfcosmetics Right from the start, I noticed how strong the rose scent in the product is. I personally don’t like this scent and wouldn’t recommend it for those sensitive to fragrances! The scent also doesn’t fade from the face for a long time. The product itself is really beautiful, feels high quality, and mixes easily thanks to the metal ball in the bottle. I usually use several different sprays when applying makeup, and unfortunately, this one won’t be among them going forward. The product has a really nice spray, and because of that, it’s easy to apply too much. The “glow” mentioned in the spray is more like glitter. Even if you spray moderately, your face and clothes end up covered in glitter. It might be more suitable for festivals or other events/parties. I also didn’t notice any effect on makeup longevity. I tested the spray with different foundations and primers as well as without primer for proper testing. Difficult to apply
I had the chance to test this primer a couple of weeks ago 🥰 #lykotestpilot #elfcosmetics The very first thing I noticed is that the primer is quite difficult to spread because of its texture. The product is sticky and feels like it sets immediately, so you have to apply quite a bit to get it spread evenly. Of course, this also depends on what skincare products you use before the primer and your skin type. I didn’t notice any effect from the niacinamide, maybe it works better over a longer period. I tried the primer with several different foundations and had no issues with any of them. It’s always good to wait a moment before adding more base makeup products and not do it immediately after applying the primer 🥰 Overall, the makeup lasted significantly better than without this primer, and the product gives a lovely glow, making the skin look hydrated. To test the best results, I wore the makeup for up to 14 hours, and it looked almost the same as when I applied it. I have combination skin, so regardless of makeup, I usually have to powder a couple of times during the day. With this primer, though, I noticed there was less oiliness than usual. Overall, my verdict is that I really liked the primer. The makeup stayed well, and my skin didn’t feel dry after a day, unlike with some other primers. Mixed feelings
My skin is usually extremely dry, but in the summer it’s more combination and therefore needs lighter skincare that is oil-free, which this is according to the description. However, I still feel like my skin looks and feels oily. I constantly felt sticky on my face, as if the skin couldn’t absorb the cream. The positive was that at least it didn’t itch, which I find many rich creams do. I also have sensitive and reactive skin, but it didn’t react at all to this. It leaves no white residue and is easy to apply on the skin. Didn’t work for me
For the pimples themselves, they didn’t help at all, except maybe to protect the pimple from external factors like makeup or picking at it. The patch stayed on well even though it was very warm and I sometimes accidentally scratched them, etc. They also weren’t overly visible, which is a plus. Otherwise, the packaging was convenient because the patches were easy to peel off. They also come in different sizes, which is great. This is not a product I would have bought since it didn’t have any effect, which means how well they stay on doesn’t really matter. Completely okay product but very quickly used up
I have very sensitive and reactive skin but did not react at all to this. It is a very gentle product, which is fragrance-free, which I appreciate. The skin feels moisturized afterwards, meaning you don’t feel tightness etc. However, it required doing the procedure several times to feel clean, which means the product doesn’t last long and thus also loses the point of budget products. It’s probably not a product I’ll buy again because it’s so quickly used up and I prefer products that cleanse better so you don’t have to repeat the same process multiple times. Cetaphil Daily Defence Facial Moisturiser SPF30 – (3.5/5)
I have normal / slightly dry skin and think this is a good moisturizing cream, even though it is significantly greasier than I expected. For me, that actually doesn’t matter – I almost prefer slightly richer creams since I have a multi-step skincare routine, and it works well as a moisturizing final layer. However, I believe it suits best during autumn and winter when the skin needs a bit of extra moisture. Now in summer, when my skin gets a bit oilier and it’s really warm outside, I sometimes feel the cream is a bit too greasy on my face. At the same time, it contains SPF, which makes me still want to use it during the day. What I miss most is SPF 50 instead of SPF 30, especially for the face where I want higher protection. For neck and décolleté, I think SPF 30 works perfectly fine ☀️ Another big advantage is the price. I think it’s very affordable and you get a lot of product for the money. Overall, it’s a good and moisturizing cream from cetaphil that suits my normal/slightly dry skin, but it will probably mainly be used during the colder months. With a lighter texture and SPF 50, it would have gotten a higher rating. This was the product I was most impressed by. I tried the patch right away when I felt a pimple was about to break out. Already the next day it had calmed down significantly and never developed into that big red pimple that usually leaves marks. I have now used the patches several times and gotten the same result. I also like that they stay on really well. One of the patches even stayed on when I forgot about it and took a shower. They are thin and comfortable, but a bit visible if you look closely, so I prefer to use them at home or overnight. For me, they have really made a difference and are a product I will buy again. I have normal skin, but it gets easily dry if I use a cleanser that is too strong. What I like about this one is that it cleanses gently without the skin feeling tight or dry afterward. It works well as an everyday cleanser, and the pump bottle makes it easy to use. What I did notice, however, is that I needed to use quite a bit of product to feel that my skin was properly cleansed. If I had makeup or sunscreen on, I also needed to supplement with another cleanser or do a double cleanse to get my skin completely clean. Therefore, it doesn’t feel very economical to use. Despite that, I think it’s a good cleanser that suits when you want something mild that doesn’t dry out the skin. I will continue to use it, but mainly on days when I don’t wear much makeup or multiple layers of SPF. This will be a product I take with me to the countryside since I only need to remove the day’s and morning’s residue. I've had the honor of trying these pimple patches, which is perfect for me since I always have them at home, so there's a lifesaver in need when you get a pimple or two🙌 I've tried lots of different pimple patches, but these ones don't really suit me. They stick well to the skin so they don't come off during the night, but these ones I don't think "suck" up the pimple like some others can, instead they make the pimple more "done." However, they do calm the pimple down quite a bit, but the redness around the pimple stayed. I have had the honor to try this cleanser from Cetaphil, and I have both positive and negative opinions about it🙌 Starting with the positives, it is a very gentle facial cleanser that does not dry out the skin and leaves a soft feeling afterward. It is also a very affordable product👍🏼 Looking at the negatives, it mostly feels like your face doesn't get completely clean. Rose-scented glitter
This was probably the finest spray I’ve ever sprayed! And it became my fate the first time🥲 I really like to soak my face with setting spray, and with this one, it ended up that I went to the morning shift as a disco ball😂 So my face was full of glitter. I can say that the promised glow was there, just in a slightly different form than I expected. The product description says the product is fragrance-free, but here the rose scent is really strong. I’m not a fan of that scent, but I could handle it. Very light and moisturizing product and not at all a bad price for 100ml! The metal ball inside the bottle made mixing easier. The cap was quite loose and sometimes it was loose in my makeup bag. My expectations for makeup longevity were quite high, but maybe this works more as a brightening product. I have tried Cetaphil Daily Defence Facial Moisturiser SPF30 and think it is a good combination of day cream and sun protection. HOW CAN THIS BE SO AFFORDABLE??
I've been using a grip primer from another brand for ages that does half the work and costs more😵 This feels like spreading honey on the skin but still didn’t feel heavy on the face. The description promises evening out the skin tone, presumably referring to niacinamide, but I haven’t noticed that at least with this use. It definitely gave a lovely glow! The foundation applied beautifully on top and I really felt how this primer gripped it😄 I like the packaging and the pump worked really well! The flat design fits nicely in the makeup bag. I have been testing Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Curl Souffle for a couple of weeks. A mousse that is supposed to improve bounce, elasticity, moisture, and definition. Heat protection up to 230 degrees🌸 My hair is colored, curly, frizzy, and dry at the ends. I have used this product on damp hair. Have tried both blow-drying with a diffuser and letting it air dry. For my hair, the best result is without blow-drying💓 I don’t quite get this product to work with my hair. I get more defined curls that hold well. But unfortunately, I don’t think it removes frizz or restores moisture. This product has its advantages, but it doesn’t live up to my expectations.
