Nice result but requires caution
I got to try this serum and thought a vitamin C serum would fit into my skincare routine even though my skin is quite sensitive. I'm always on the lookout for a nice glow that doesn't feel too much with my oily skin. Unfortunately, my skin reacted when I initially used it every other day. I got slightly irritated and my skin felt more sensitive than usual. When I instead backed off and started using the serum 2-3 times a week, it worked much better. Despite the reaction, I am actually happy with the serum today. It gives a nice glow and the skin feels smoother, but for me it only works in very small amounts (max 2 drops) and not too often. So it’s an active serum that my skin needs to take in small doses, but when I use it right, I really like the result and will continue to use it!! I have, as #lykotestpilot, received some products from #dermalogica. A little about me: I have combination skin without major acne or scars, but a tendency to clogged pores on the nose and chin as well as oily skin in the T-zone. I used this serum before my moisturizing cream a couple of days a week, and it feels light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I felt that it gave a bit of extra glow and hydration, and that the skin looked a bit more even after a few weeks. However, I noticed that on the days I used it, I could get a bit more oily in the T-zone (especially the nose and chin), which was a bit unfortunate. For me, it was a completely okay product, but nothing I feel I have to have again – especially considering the price. I have been tasked as #lykotestpilot to try some products from #dermalogica. A little about me: I have combination skin with a tendency to clogged pores mainly on my nose and chin. This one is truly my favorite among the products. It feels like it really goes in and cleans the pores thoroughly, especially on the nose and chin where I usually get clogged skin easily. At first, it was a bit hard to know how much to use, but you learn quickly. I also noticed that it works best every other or every third day; using it every day is a bit too much. It’s actually supposed to be mild enough for daily use, but I tried it and instead felt it had the opposite effect. After use, the skin feels much softer and smoother, like a little “reset.” The pores on my nose also became much less visible, and I have really been looking for a product that gives this result. Special cleansing gel
As a #lykotestpilot, I have received some products from #dermalogica. A bit about me: I have combination skin where I easily get oily in the T-zone, especially the nose, but fairly normal to dry on the rest of my face. It has been difficult for me to find cleansers that don’t dry out the skin, so I mostly gave up looking. At first, I was quite skeptical due to previous experiences with cleansers, but this one surprised me. I use it in the evening after removing makeup, and I only use it once. It really is enough to remove the last bit of dirt and feels very gentle on the skin. What I like most is that it doesn’t leave the skin tight or dry, which many other cleansers do to me. Instead, the skin just feels clean and balanced afterwards. However, I do think the price is a bit high. Refreshing serum
For about three weeks, I have had the chance to test the Biolumin-C serum from #dermalogica as #lykotestpilot. The product promises more radiance and a more even skin tone, and uneven pigmentation is counteracted. The skin surface should become smoother and with improved elasticity. Nice packaging with text inside the box suggesting how it can be used. Beautiful glass bottle with a dropper, which makes it easy to apply. After application, the skin feels sticky like a grip primer. After moisturizer, I see a glow. The serum works well with my regular moisturizer, and I don’t see the serum “pilling” with my cream. I have used the product morning and evening during the test period (except for some evenings when I used a hydrating mask overnight). My skin: very dry and sometimes irritated skin that is mature with large pores around the nose and chin. From application and for a few hours, I see redness on the cheeks and nose. I am also testing Daily Microfoliant and don’t know if it’s that product or this serum causing the redness. Over time, the skin looks fresher, less dull, maybe a bit smoother on the cheeks and with a glow, hard to see in the picture. The lines from the nose down to the mouth (on the cheek) look smaller. I will continue to use the product but once a day since I see redness after use, and with more time maybe the pigmentation evens out as well. Too strong peeling for me
I have been testing the Daily Microfoliant from #dermalogica as #lykotestpilot for about three weeks. The product is supposed to be gentle enough for daily use, remove dead skin cells, and make the skin soft and fresher with a new glow. It is also supposed to reduce uneven pigmentation. My first impression is that it’s something different from what I’m used to, a powder that needs to be mixed with water before application. You have to be careful when dispensing because at first nothing comes out and then a lot, but once you know this, you’re more prepared next time. It’s economical and the skin feels clean afterward. My skin: very dry and sometimes irritated skin, mature skin with large pores on the nose and chin. I have used the product every evening during the test period. The skin feels soft and not particularly dry, but I see that the skin is irritated afterward and stays slightly red/pink for several hours after I apply serum and cream (the top picture is right after washing and the lower picture is about 4 hours after washing). I see fewer blackheads around the nose and filled pores on the chin look smaller. The skin looks smoother/“polished” in some areas, which creates a glow. Lovely cleanser for dry skin
I have been testing the Special Cleansing Gel from #dermalogica as #lykotestpilot for about three weeks. The product promises to quickly remove makeup and dirt without drying out the skin and that it is very economical. My first impression is that the bottle is nice, but I think it's easy for too much product to come out, which results in it not being as economical as it could be, but you learn after a while. Lovely thick lather/foam. Right after washing, the skin feels clean and it doesn't tighten like some cleansers can do for me. My skin: very dry and sometimes irritated skin, mature skin with large pores on the nose and chin. I have used the product morning and evening. Special Cleansing Gel is in a similar price range as my favorite cleanser and cleans well and does not irritate the skin. I see fewer blackheads around the nose but that may also be due to the enzyme peeling I have tested at the same time as the Cleansing Gel. What is really nice is that the skin does not feel irritated or tight after washing but still clean and not sticky (like some cleansers for dry skin can do for me). My starting point: dry, slightly sensitive skin after winter. I have been lucky to test this product for about three weeks now. I have tried some Dermalogica products before. They have consistently impressed me! This one is no exception. I have little experience with vitamin C before. The serum is very gel-like, applies easily to the skin. It smells fresh of orange. I get an immediate glow in my face. During this period, I feel my skin has become more even and gained more glow. I use retinol in my routine a few nights a week, and I think this fits perfectly with it. I have used it both morning and evening. Absorbs quickly, perfect consistency for a serum. I can quickly apply cream and makeup on top. I am very impressed. The price is quite steep, but I have so much faith in Dermalogica's products. Clean skin without tight feeling
I have combination skin that can easily become both sensitive and a bit oily in the T-zone. I have now used it for about 3 weeks, mostly in the evenings but also some mornings, and this gel foams lightly and feels very fresh without the skin feeling tight or dry afterward. It cleans thoroughly from makeup and SPF while the skin still feels soft and balanced. On days when I have makeup on, I do the cleansing twice, and it’s easy to remove waterproof mascara, which I appreciate. I also appreciate that it is really mild for daily use and does not disturb the skin’s natural moisture balance, something many cleansers otherwise can do. After washing, the skin feels clean, clear, and calm. It really works if you want a safe and stable base in your skincare routine. Minus: the price. It is definitely an expensive cleanser, which makes me hesitate a bit to buy it again right away when it runs out — even though the bottle lasts a long time. This is because I have previously invested in budget variants for cleansers, so I can’t quite justify buying a more expensive one when they have worked just as well. No, but seriously, let me introduce a fantastic product for my hair. Hair that is exposed to daily styling with a hairdryer and flat iron. Oh, how economical this product is. The hair becomes so soft, smooth, and smells so good. That it is heat-protective is wonderful. I have previously used heat-protective spray that often runs out quickly. Choosing a cream instead is better since I use such a product daily. I need a small amount that sits nicely without feeling heavy or sticky afterward. Sparingly, it lasts a long time, and my hair feels like velvet when I’m done styling. I am so positively surprised by this leave-in cream, and my daughters, who have magically long hair, love it too. It has a special thick texture, and I was a bit unsure if I could distribute it properly in the hair so that it would have the protective effect against heat without using too much product. I have only tested it on towel-dried hair several times and have distributed the product well in my hands before applying it to the hair. My hair responded well to this product, and I got a nice shine in the hair. I was afraid it would look greasy, but it just looked healthier. It foamed quickly and I felt my hair was clean. The only downside to the shampoo was the scent. The shampoo smells good but I am somewhat sensitive to strong scents and this one was strong. I did NOT get a headache from it, which was good, and I quickly got used to the scent. In summary, it is a good shampoo with a special texture, but with a somewhat strong scent! I have been so lucky to test Dermalogica BioLumin-C Serum 30ml😍 I have been using it for almost 3 weeks, about 2-3 times a week, and my dry and dehydrated skin with inactive eczema tolerated it well. Fortunately, it does not trigger eczema. I use the serum in the morning after cleansing and always follow up with sunscreen. The skin feels firmer and gets a nice glow after application, and I like that the serum has a slightly thick consistency that glides easily into the skin. A small downside for me is that the serum contains fragrance and smells like orange. I prefer fragrance-free products, as I have previously experienced that eczema is triggered by fragrance (which has not happened with this one). The product is described as a highly concentrated serum that works with the skin’s natural defenses, gives glow, firmness, and a more even skin tone, and combines ultra-stable vitamin C with peptides and cell-renewing AHA. For me, it works as promised; the skin looks fresher and more radiant. Unfortunately, the price level is quite steep, so I will not be buying it on my own right now, but if the price were a bit lower, I would definitely consider having the serum as a regular part of my routine. I have been so lucky to receive Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant 13😍 I have been using the product for almost 3 weeks now, 2-3 times a week, and I am really satisfied! I have dry and dehydrated skin with inactive eczema, so I have to be careful with exfoliation. The powder is mixed with a little water and rubbed between the hands until it becomes a light foaming paste, which I then massage onto my face in circular motions (for about 1 minute) before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water. I use it on clean skin in the evening, right after cleansing with Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, and my skin feels super soft and smooth, while my eczema does not get irritated. A small downside is that you have to mix the powder with water yourself, which makes the skincare routine a bit longer. But the upside of this is that it lasts longer in use. The product description states that the rice-based enzyme powder micro-exfoliates the skin effectively, while the botanical complex contributes to a more even skin tone over time. I agree, and I think my makeup looks much nicer the day after I have used the exfoliation. All in all: a mild but effective exfoliant! I have been lucky enough to test Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel 250 ml😍 I have been using it every evening for about 14 days now, so I have a good impression of how it works on my skin. This is a soap-free gel cleanser designed to remove dirt and impurities without drying out the skin. I start by applying a little product to wet hands and work it up lightly before massaging it into a damp face for just over a minute. Then I rinse off with lukewarm/warm water. Although it is described as a foaming gel, I find it becomes more creamy than foamy when massaged in. For me, that’s fine—even though I prefer a more foamy texture. It still feels very pleasant and mild on the skin. I have dry and dehydrated skin with inactive eczema, and this cleanser works well for me. It cleanses the skin effectively without irritating or triggering the eczema, which is very important for my skin type. After cleansing, the skin still feels a bit tight, which is not unusual for my skin type, so I need to apply a good hydrating product fairly quickly afterward. Convenient sun stick
A convenient sun protection to have in your bag for quick application. As a Lyko test pilot, I have had the opportunity to use this product for a few weeks and I am positively surprised. I have previously not used sun sticks much except for my lips, and am more used to using liquid sun protection for the face. I have mainly used this product on my lips and for touch-ups on sensitive areas of the face where I often burn. The product melts into the skin and is easy to apply. It is colorless and leaves a moisturized feeling. The packaging is neat and convenient and makes it possible to apply without mess.
