I have had the honor from Lyko to test this setting spray as #lykotestpilot. First and foremost, how beautiful isn’t it with all the shimmer in the packaging??😍 I really like the packaging, it feels sturdy and not cheap, it sprays a nice and even layer on the skin that absorbs quickly! You really get a fantastic glow from this setting spray. Up close, however, you can see that there are tiny little shimmer particles and not just glow, which is not something I personally mind but I think could be a dealbreaker for many. Affordable!!
I had the honor from Lyko to test this primer as #lykotestpilot. This primer is very sticky, which makes the rest of the makeup set on the skin. Since it is so sticky, I find it easier to dab it into the skin instead of spreading it out. I think I see a big improvement when it comes to the longevity of my makeup, I work at a spa where it’s warm and humid, but my makeup still lasts a full 8 hours when I use this primer! I love that the packaging has the combination of tube+pump, which makes it possible to get all the product out of the packaging when it starts to run out. In summary, I think the elf powergrip + 4% niacinamide primer is definitely worth its price and I will 100% buy it again when it runs out. I’ve been so lucky to test the Powergip Primer + Niacinamide 24 ml from #elfcosmetics as #lykotestpilot 🤩 It has been part of my regular makeup routine the past month 💅🏼 This primer isn’t an immediate favorite for me. Not because there’s anything wrong with the product, but more due to my own preferences. I’m not a fan when things feel sticky to apply. Also, I like things to go quickly in the morning, so I use my hands to apply the base of my makeup. It can be a bit tricky to wash it off my fingers afterwards. It feels sticky when applied, but it absorbs quickly into the skin after just a few seconds. Leaves a nice glow! I have been so lucky to test the Power Grip Rose Setting Spray from #elfcosmetics as #lykotestpilot 🤩 It has been part of my regular makeup routine for the past month 💅🏼 Anything pink and glittery definitely catches my attention! ✨ This setting spray has, in my eyes, a very mild rose scent. I think the scent is just how it should be, as I personally prefer not to have too many different scents at once. It’s easy to apply and gives a nice little layer of glow when sprayed. Perfect for giving the makeup look a glittering glow, while also being great to freshen up during the day 💅🏼 At the bottom of the bottle, there is a ball that helps distribute the spray’s contents when shaken. Affordable and sticks well to the skin
I got these in a kit when I became a test pilot for Cetaphil. I am now 60+ with mature skin without pimples, but my daughter has acne-prone skin and occasionally gets a few pimples, so I asked her to try these. Here is her review: I have tried several pimple patches and am not the biggest fan as I think they promise more than they deliver. I tried these overnight and what I like is that they came in several different sizes and they stuck well to the skin. The morning after, nothing noticeable had happened to the active pimples. Curl Soufflé
After I learned that I have wavy to curly hair, I have really tried to highlight this in the best possible way. I have now tested quite a few curl creams, gels, and mousses, but still haven't found my favorite. I was therefore very excited about this one. It is a vegan mousse that is supposed to enhance curls and give more volume, add shine, and protect against frizz, moisture, and heat up to 230 degrees. My first impression was that this sprays out the mousse very poorly. A bit like a cream jar that is about to run out. But I managed to get out a golf ball-sized amount and applied it to the lengths and roots. I scrunched my hair a bit to enhance waves, but not too much as I don't want too many curls. Then I let it air dry. This mousse gives volume! I very rarely have much luck with mousse for my hair, as they usually give too much volume and just create a fluffy and frizzy mess. Unfortunately, that also happened with this one. It enhanced some waves, but it was too frizzy for my taste. I also didn't like the feeling of this in the lengths of my hair. It felt a bit like saltwater spray, so a bit tired. I tried applying this to the roots before blow-drying instead, and it gave nice volume at the roots and some hold. Super Shield
I had basically given up on heat protectant sprays that you can use on dry hair, as I always found that they either made the hair too wet or were terribly sticky. That was until I tried this one! ❤️ I sprayed this on freshly washed dry hair before using heat tools, mostly a curling iron. It sprays a smooth and fine mist and doesn’t make the hair wet or sticky! The only thing I noticed was to be careful not to spray too much, as the hair can get a bit heavy. This really makes my hair silky soft and shiny. Unfortunately, it didn’t give any hold to my curls when using the curling iron, but when using a straightener, I experienced more shine and longer hold. If I have to say something negative, it’s that the scent of this reminds me a bit of Elnette hairspray, and I’m not especially fond of that. But I don’t find that the scent lingers throughout the day. It's a good cleanser but nothing special really. It's a bit more runny than I'm used to, doesn't smell like anything special. However, I think it's gentle on the skin and I haven't gotten any pimples or reactions from it so far. Power Grip Rose Setting Spray
I had pretty high expectations for this product, but unfortunately, it didn’t work that well as a setting spray for me. I didn’t feel like it set my makeup in place or helped it last better throughout the day. It also emphasized my fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth, which I don’t usually experience with other setting sprays. The mist also contains quite large glitter particles, which isn’t really my taste since I prefer a more natural glow. However, I think it works better as a glow spray – it gives the skin a nice radiance and can be a good option for those who like a more shimmering result. Very fast-absorbing cream
This cream is quickly absorbed by the skin and leaves a nice glow. You can immediately apply makeup over it without it clumping or the makeup coming off. The texture is a bit more like sunscreen than a regular face cream, but it doesn’t leave a white residue and sinks into the skin quickly. My skin is basically on the drier side but has felt very normal, calm, and balanced with this cream. It has worked so well that I’ve felt I can just use cleanser, toner, and then this if I’m a bit stressed, without the skin suffering. Really good! First, I should mention that I received the product later than expected due to delivery, so I styled my hair just last night, quite quickly. I'm not an experienced hairstylist, but I use many different sprays and really like multipurpose sprays. It's annoying to gather many bottles on the table for hair styling when it can be done with just one product. To the point; I first looked at the product thinking it was a hairspray that provides protection against anti-dullness + anti-pollution + anti-frizz & flyaways. It can be used on dry or damp hair. I don't know why I missed that it also has heat protection up to 230 degrees!! I was already looking for heat protection for the table until I checked the bottle again and was really pleased it had heat protection too. You can use it, for example, to freshen up hair with a blow dryer after a night, like I did. And it works great, giving a bit of shine and smoothness if unwanted hairs have stuck up overnight 😅 I also used it after mousse on dry hair to ensure no frizz and double protection for the hair. I think it also gave a light hold. It has a typical hair product scent but not strong, and it fades quickly from the hair without lingering in the air. Best of all, it didn’t make my hair look greasy. It’s like an invisible shield for my hair protecting against environmental pollution and the annoying tangled look 👏. The bottle is a good size, so I believe it will last well in use. Also, the price of Schwarzkopf products is reasonable considering the quality. And the products are vegan 🤓 I’m happy to buy more of this for myself. Let me start by saying that because I received the set later than when the review was supposed to be shared due to delivery, I did it late last night 😅. Despite that, I thought the result was good and I definitely got volume. I'm not very experienced with styling hair, so I think I'm good at judging whether it was easy for me to use. I have thin Finnish hair that is glassy and usually shows all the products used, unfortunately often as greasy residue. But; The mousse really delivered on its promise and also surprised me. It has heat protection up to 230 degrees, the texture is vegan, and it has a light hold. It was easy to apply to the hair starting from the roots. It also promises moisture and flexibility for the hair. And my hair feels that way too. It feels like instead of light hold, I got volume, or maybe I managed to apply the mousse to the right spots this time 😆. Generally, all the mousses I've used have stuck to my hands so that when you wash them out, you have to wash twice to get it out, but this one didn't do that, which was really refreshing. I liked using it. There was no strong scent in the product either, so I believe it suits those sensitive to smells as well. As I mentioned at the start, I did this late at night and the picture I took where I'm just in a t-shirt 🤣 shows my hair after the night, brushed once, and I've already been on a long walk with the dog. And when the hair gets tousled, it just becomes even more voluminous. In summary; the mousse was high quality, doesn't grease the hair, and doesn't make it stiff either. It's easy to brush through and gives dry hair hold before styling. A slightly bigger packaging!
I wish the cream came in a slightly bigger packaging. I really like it. I find it hard to find face creams with SPF that I like because I don’t want them to be sticky or leave the skin dry. This cream is not sticky and it leaves the skin moisturized and gives a nice glow. The cream comes in a tube, and it’s easy to squeeze out the product. The cream feels economical and the price is quite okay. It could have been a bit cheaper, but there are more expensive creams with the same amount of content, so I’m satisfied anyway. The cream doesn’t have a strong scent, at least nothing that bothers. The cream is a bit on the thicker side but not compact. I think it’s quite creamy and easy to apply. I’m happy with the cream and I like that it’s a bit on the richer side because it leaves my skin moisturized, and everyone who knows me knows that I love products that leave the skin moisturized. Moisture is also good for the skin. You shouldn’t be afraid of a little extra moisture. Affordable gentle product
I have quite sensitive skin and this cleanser has been very mild and pleasant. I recommend starting with makeup removal first. I couldn’t remove my mascara with this. I saw someone else succeeded, so try her method if you want. Personally, I didn’t feel this cleanser made much of a difference. It was mild and gentle. I felt clean but not as clean as with my more expensive brands. On the other hand, there were no signs of tightness or discomfort with this, unlike most others to some degree, and that’s a big plus for those of us who are a bit sensitive. The fact is, you don’t need to use ten steps in your cleansing routine with this; the skin feels good. If you’re young, I’d recommend this alone and during the day with an SPF on top. The price is fantastic and you probably won’t need more products to stay youthful or anything else. Sticks like a rock
I generally think these patches don’t usually work very well. This is probably the 5th or 6th brand I’ve tried, and I tested another brand just one day before trying these. Unfortunately, this one was like all the others. It encapsulates your pimple but doesn’t get rid of it. Luckily, I had pimples right when I got these patches as #lykotestpilot and could therefore test them. I used up half the pack (12 pieces) in a couple of days without the pimple getting smaller or disappearing. However, it does encapsulate very well. This is the first patch I’ve tried that actually stayed on even when I ran 10km in shaded temperatures of 26-27 degrees and was sweating buckets. That impressed me. I could even move it a bit when I put it on, and it still stayed on even though it didn’t look completely sealed. So if you want to protect your pimple so you don’t pick at it, this is a good buy. If you want a patch under makeup, this is not your friend. Only when I put makeup over it did I think one disappeared, but the other was still a bit visible. I thought maybe it could be okay, but after an hour it was visible and then it’s 10 times more noticeable than when you don’t have makeup on. So embarrassing. So no, don’t put makeup over them, I say. Or am I just bad at putting makeup over? Can I imagine buying it again? Convenient with a pump bottle!
I appreciate products that come in pump bottles as they are practical to use. This cleanser is easy to use since it comes in a pump bottle, and it’s easy to get the product out, which I like 👍🏻 I have tried using the cleanser on both dry and wet face, both options work equally well. You either add water afterwards or before. In contact with water, I find the product becomes a bit foamy. The product is not very liquid but not compact either. It somewhat resembles shampoo in consistency. The cleanser is fragrance-free and the skin feels moisturized after using the product. I have also tested removing waterproof mascara and it works great. What you do is add a little water to the lashes and then the cleanser, then gently massage the product in while continuously adding water to the lashes with your fingertips. If you need to add a bit more product, you do so. I usually use lukewarm water when washing off my mascara. I find that easier. You need to be a bit patient when removing waterproof mascara. You shouldn’t rush. Overall, I am satisfied with the cleanser and it is economical. Very good price as well. I can imagine buying it. Hmm.. so I don’t have good experiences with these pimple patches. What I like about them is that they come in different sizes, that they aren’t as visible on the skin & that they still stick pretty well. However, I don’t notice that they do anything special except "protect" the pimple from dirt, makeup & from picking at it. It’s definitely positive that they act as a barrier that protects, but I don’t think they do what they’re supposed to 100%. I’ll just keep using them for a while longer.
