Curl mousse for messy beachwaves
I have been testing this mousse for curly hair as a test pilot for a few weeks now. According to Schwarzkopf Professional, this vegan mousse is supposed to enhance and define hair curls, add volume, shine, care, reduce frizz, and provide a moisturizing feeling. It is used on damp hair and is suitable for both air drying or diffusing as it protects hair from heat up to 230 degrees. I have thick and very voluminous hair with a lot of frizz and a mix of waves & curls. It’s not the easiest hair to work with, and I’m still exploring different products that will highlight and preserve my curls without weighing them down or leaving the hair stiff, sticky, and matte. That’s why I was very excited about this mousse! I really like the nozzle on the foam and that it doesn’t dispense too much foam at once, so you can easily adjust the amount you need. The product has a faint scent that almost disappears immediately. It’s easy to work with and doesn’t get sticky or unpleasant on the hands, unlike similar products I’ve tried. I think it worked best when I used it on soaking wet hair while still in the shower, squeezing the product well in to enhance my curls as I usually do. They became a bit defined, but much less than usual – so they got weighed down a bit. I always air dry my hair and get the best results that way. With this foam, the curls immediately get bounce and definition, but after it’s fully absorbed and a few hours have passed, they fall flat and the curls disappear. It gave a slightly frizzy beachwaves look with the feeling of somewhat weighed-down and matte hair that’s had a bit too much sun and saltwater, no matter how much or little product I used. I’ve also tried it a couple of times when my hair wasn’t dripping wet (but still damp), and with a lot more product, but then the hair just felt sticky, stiff, and straw-like, and I felt a bit like a messy sheep. I think this mousse definitely has its advantages, but it doesn’t quite live up to my expectations. It didn’t quite suit me or the result I’m looking for. Versatile favorite that really delivers on its promises
I have been testing this heat protection spray for a few weeks now as a test pilot for Lyko. I got to try the ELF Power Grip Primer Niacinamide and was positively surprised. I usually don’t like using primer because of the heavy feeling, but I didn’t get that feeling from this one. The skin felt really sticky after application, but the foundation applied very well and stayed all day. The niacinamide-containing formula also feels pleasant on the skin and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. The only downside is that you should use the product sparingly, as too much can cause the makeup base to roll. A bit disappointed
I was really happy and excited to try the ELF Power Grip Rose Setting Spray, but this product leaves a VERY glittery finish on the skin. The spray feels light and doesn’t feel sticky on the face and finishes the makeup neatly. The rose scent was too strong for my taste, so it might not be for everyone. The durability is quite good, but after a long day or in hot weather, the makeup still starts to wear off a bit. A little disappointed
Visually cute and practical, like the pink color and the pump 🩷 The product itself was unfortunately not quite for me. Power Grip is really a fitting name, but I found the makeup harder to blend, and the thick/sticky consistency gave a feeling that the skin couldn’t breathe under the makeup. It definitely gives a glow, but on my skin, after a couple of hours, it started to look a bit oily, which I usually don’t struggle with. Have been lucky enough to try the product for a few weeks now and am surprised at how good it is. Haven't used primer much before, but I really liked this one. Found the product easy to spread on the skin and it created the “sticky” layer so the makeup would last better. I've noticed a big difference whether I use it or not. The makeup lasts much longer and doesn't fade during the day like it would have if I hadn't used the product. I think the packaging of the product is very nice and good. Since it’s a tube with a pump, it’s easy to get all the product out. I have sensitive, acne-prone, and combination skin and thought it suited my skin very well. Didn’t get any breakouts. I've been lucky to try this product for a few weeks now.😊 I immediately notice a mild rose scent, which I'm not a big fan of. It also has quite a bit of glitter in it. It applies very nicely on the skin and dries quickly. It gives a nice glow. I'm not so fond of that much glow. If you like a lot of glow/glitter, this is for you. Over the past year, I've started trying to enhance my curls in my thick hair, and I've really put effort into trying to highlight them in the best possible way. I've now tested quite a few curl creams, gels, and mousses, so I was very curious if this would become my new favorite, since Schwarzkopf Professional is such a great brand🤩 OSiS Curl Souffle is a vegan mousse that is supposed to enhance curls, giving hair more volume. It adds shine, nourishes, and protects against frizz, moisture, and heat up to 230 °C. My first impression was good. A nice amount of foam came out, with a good consistency to work with. When I started scrunching my curls, I noticed I had to use much more product than with previous mousses I've used. I still experimented and diffused it. The result was okay, but I've gotten better results with other products. The curls are enhanced, but unfortunately, it only lasted a short time before falling out. Then my hair just looked frizzy and messy. I also didn't like the feeling of this in the lengths of my hair. After the amount I had to use to get the curls to hold, my hair felt completely stiff. So I probably won't buy this again. In my role as a test pilot for cetaphil, this was my absolute favorite! Simple and functional packaging, big plus! Very economical, a small amount is enough for face and neck. Quite thick consistency, but it absorbs into the skin immediately. Leaves the skin soft and a bit glowing, very rich formula. A compromise
At first, I was a bit surprised by the texture. It was thicker than I expected, and also very economical – only a small amount is needed. It also has a faint scent of sunscreen, which I hadn’t anticipated. It also takes a little while to absorb into the skin. After a while, I got used to it. What I like most is that I can skip a step in my skincare routine. 😅 The packaging is also very convenient. At the same time, I would have chosen a sunscreen with a higher SPF if I knew I was going to be out in the sun a lot. And if my skin were dry or needed extra moisture, I would probably prefer a more moisturizing product. That’s kind of how it goes with hybrid products. I have had the opportunity to be a test pilot for cetaphil and it has been a pleasant assignment! The packaging is simple and functional, I like that! My skin is normal, very "gentle" and easy to care for. It can sometimes feel dry but that is easily remedied. No sensitivity, not even any wrinkles despite my advanced age ;) The cleansing is mild, cleans well and leaves the skin soft. (I have not used it on eye makeup.) The only negative is that a cream gives a slightly greasy feeling on the face, I prefer a foaming product. But that’s the only thing I wasn’t 100% happy with. Otherwise very satisfied!
