Doesn't meet the mark!
Naaah, I don't think the product really lived up to expectations. I got some breakouts on my chin, probably hormonal, I usually don't get them but sometimes it happens. So it was fitting that I got these patches at the right time and could try them. Unfortunately, I didn't see any difference. The breakouts didn't really get smaller and they didn't disappear either. I also tried wearing the patches under makeup but that wasn't a good idea since you could see the patch more clearly under the makeup. I preferred to wear these patches over makeup because then they blended in more than they did under makeup. You also had to be careful when taking the patch out of the packaging since it's sticky and if the patch rolled up, you just had to throw it away. What was good about these patches is that when they stuck well and if you didn't sweat, the breakouts weren't as visible, but usually these patches fell off the skin 🙄. Besides the fact that the patch sometimes stuck well to the skin, the price is also good since you get 24 small round patches. However, I will never buy these patches myself. Top off your makeup with this setting spray and wow, what a glow. It’s lightly shimmering but not glittery. Also feels moisturizing and dries quickly. Really like this one. The only reason it doesn’t get 5/5 is the scent, which lingers and I notice it all the time. Looking at the before and after picture, you can see the lack of radiance. I definitely got that! ELF primer
This primer was a bit sticky and is not something I personally am a big fan of, but it probably makes other makeup last longer throughout the day. At least it seems that way. I liked that it almost had no scent, and the size makes it practical to carry in the toiletry bag or purse. The packaging feels solid, and the product was easy to get out. ELF setting spray
This setting spray has a mild rose scent, so if you like rose fragrance, it’s perfect. Personally, I’m not a big fan of it, but I liked that there was a bit of glitter in it (and that there’s a ball at the bottom so it mixes easily when you shake it, so you don’t suddenly become a glitter bomb 😂) and that it dried quickly. It was also very comfortable on the skin and sprayed evenly. I got this shower mousse as a #lykotestpilot from #mariestellamaris. The foam is absolutely fantastic—thick and soft. It also leaves the skin moisturized and smooth. The scent is quite strong. It lingers on the skin for quite a while, so if you are very sensitive to scents, I wouldn’t buy it. I couldn’t handle their scent sticks, but this one worked without giving me a headache. Headache-inducing
I was assigned as a #lykotestpilot to test these scent sticks from #mariestellamaris. The scent is extremely strong. It is very floral and a bit heavy but probably would have smelled quite nice if it were weaker. Just one minute after I opened the bottle, I got a headache. I still put it in the bathroom thinking it would lessen a bit, but after five minutes the whole family complained, so I threw the sticks away and screwed the cap back on. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a regular cap but you remove a plastic film from the top of the cap, but I put it back as best as I could. The bottle is very nice, so I would have liked to have it standing in the bathroom if it had worked for us. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ I got to test the Hairification Pure Grow Hair Growth Intensifying Serum 50 ml as part of the Hairification Pure Grow line. I was especially expecting a light feel and easy application. I have bleached hair that dries out easily, so I wanted to give the product a chance. Unfortunately, the first impression was not very successful. The serum dosing felt a bit tricky, as it was very easy to get too much product. Because of this, it was hard to judge the right amount. During the short test period, I did not notice any changes in hair growth or strengthening. Additionally, the serum left my hair looking a bit greasy, which was not the desired result for me. Although I liked the idea of the product, the user experience did not meet my expectations. Overall, this product was unfortunately not suitable for me. Conditioner that makes the cut
I got to test the Hairification Pure Grow Conditioner 300 ml together with the shampoo from the same line. I first washed my hair with a double cleanse using the Pure Grow Shampoo, then applied the conditioner to my hair and let it sit for a moment before rinsing. I have bleached hair that dries out easily, so I especially expected moisturizing properties from the conditioner. The conditioner spread well through my hair and rinsed out easily. My hair felt immediately softer, and detangling and handling were noticeably easier after washing. I didn’t notice any strengthening of my hair during this short test period, but that wasn’t surprising. Instead, it clearly helped with dryness, and my hair felt smooth without any heavy feeling. Overall, the first impression was positive. If you’re looking especially for moisture for dry or bleached hair, this conditioner made my hair softer and easier to manage. Hair felt wonderfully soft
I got to try the Hairification Pure Grow Shampoo 300 ml, and I was curious to see how it would work on my hair. I have bleached hair that dries out easily, so moisturizing and gentle hair products are important to me. The shampoo cleaned my hair well and foamed pleasantly. The biggest surprise was how soft my hair felt after just one shampoo wash. The hair felt smooth, clean, and easy to manage without feeling dry. I was so lucky to get to test this line from #dermalogica as #lykotestpilot! 🤍 I love products that combine skincare and high sun protection! 🌞 I tried this myself first, and it felt very comfortable on the skin. Still, I felt, just like with the serum, that the anti-aging properties were hard to assess on my 23-year-old skin. So I let my mom continue testing. I have used Dermalogica Phyto Nature E2 100 ml daily, both morning and evening, as recommended on the packaging. I have normal skin with few fine lines from before, and have tested the product for a month as part of my skincare routine. First, I want to highlight the packaging. The product comes in a heavy glass bottle that gives a very exclusive and luxurious impression. The product itself has a light texture that absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling sticky. It contains a bit of fragrance, but I found it mild and pleasant. For me, it was never too strong or bothersome. Regarding the results, I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin. It has become more hydrated, gained a nicer glow, and feels both firmer and more “bouncy.” The skin also appears smoother and more even than before. I think the fine lines I have on my face have become less visible, but since I had quite few fine lines to begin with, it’s hard to say how big the difference actually is after this test period. I believe this is a product that can give even better results with longer use. I also used the product on my neck, where I have a few more fine lines than on my face. There, I actually noticed a clearer improvement in a shorter time. The skin on my neck felt firmer, smoother, and more hydrated, and the lines became less prominent. I have tested the Dermalogica Pro-Collagen Banking Water Cream for one month, almost every day. My first impression was very positive; the cream provides plenty of moisture and has a light, water-based gel consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. I have normal skin with very rare breakouts, and this cream worked very well for my skin. It gave a nice, fresh glow and also worked excellently as a base under makeup. The makeup applied nicely and stayed looking good throughout the day. I should also say that it gave the skin a plump finish and contains lots of good ingredients that are supposed to help reduce fine lines, provide good moisture to the skin, and support the skin barrier. Regarding the cream itself, I don’t think it stands out much from other water-based moisturizers on the market. It contains some fragrance, which some people might be sensitive to, but I found the scent mild and pleasant and had no reactions. The only downside for me is that since the cream is so light and water-based, I feel the moisture doesn’t last all day. I therefore had to apply more moisture later in the day than I usually do with richer creams. Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50
I have used Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 daily for four weeks as the last step in my skincare routine. I have normal skin, and for me, this has worked very well both as a day cream and sun protection. The cream has a light and pleasant texture that absorbs quickly into the skin while providing plenty of moisture. The skin feels soft throughout the day, and I find that the moisture lasts a long time without needing to reapply. It also leaves a nice glow that makes the skin look fresh and healthy. I use sunscreen every single day, regardless of the season, so it’s very convenient to have high sun protection in the day cream. The cream has a bit more fragrance than the other Dermalogica products I’ve tested. The scent is still pleasant and not overwhelming, but if you are very sensitive to perfume, it might be worth noting. I found that the product did not clog my pores or cause breakouts. For my normal skin, it worked excellently, but I think it might feel a bit rich or oily for people with very oily skin. The product promises, among other things, to increase skin firmness, elasticity, and moisture levels and reduce the visibility of fine lines after eight weeks of use. I used the product for four weeks, so the test period was shorter than the manufacturer recommends to see full effect. Still, I noticed that my fine lines became less visible, especially when I used this together with Dermalogica Phyto Nature E2, which I also tested. The two products seem to complement each other well and gave my skin a smoother, more even, and more hydrated appearance. I don’t have pigmentation spots, so I can’t comment on the effect on uneven pigmentation. Didn’t work for me 😕
🙋♀️ About me I have very sensitive, dry to combination skin that is extremely allergy prone. I don’t get many breakouts, usually they’re hormonal or if I eat something greasy. 📦 The packaging When you open the boxed package, the patches are inside two plastic cases. Each one has a plastic sheet where you will find the patches lying on. They’re easy to remove from the sheet. I love that you have different sizes of the patches. 🤔 My opinion This one didn’t work for me (as you can see in the pictures). I kept the patch on for 6 hours and after removing it, I can see that the pimple just got bigger! I tried it again, but I got the same result. 😞 I really like that the patches in the package are different shapes, lined on the plastic sheet from small to big. I think this is great for those who have really big breakouts. I also love that the packaging keeps the patches flat and hygienic for next use. The patch has a matte finish but it’s still a bit visible if you put makeup over it. But honestly, even if you didn’t put makeup on top of it, they are pretty much almost completely invisible (or as invisible as they can be). These are okay. Got to try O’keeffe’s Working Hands Hand Cream as #lykotestpilot and I’m incredibly satisfied! Just like the foot cream, the hand cream is incredibly rich but still not sticky. Absorbs very quickly and provides amazing moisture that lasts. You don’t need to keep reapplying throughout the day because the moisture stays in. Both the hand cream and foot cream are completely fragrance-free, which I know many appreciate, even though I personally prefer a scented one. But that makes it easy to use for everyone! Serious Moisturizing
Have tested for a few weeks as #lykotestpilot and am very satisfied! For some background, I have dry feet all year round with hard skin that sometimes cracks. O’keeffe’s Healthy Feet Foot Cream has moisturized these really well! Softened the hard skin, even though there is still a bit left on the heels. What remains is at least moisturized and above all, cracks are a thing of the past. If I apply cream to my feet one evening, they stay moisturized for several days 👌🏼 I find both the hand cream and foot cream completely fragrance-free! Absorbs quickly. Good price. Exciting properties, but my face rejected it immediately
This one is incredibly concentrated and you don’t need much product at all to cover the entire face. Which is a big plus! I absolutely understand the idea that it should exfoliate and renew cells to give the skin a new glow, but unfortunately my skin couldn’t handle it. Every time I applied it, I got an immediate tight, almost burning sensation in my face and the skin turned completely red. I tried to tough it out and reduce usage to just a few times a week, but my skin barrier reacted negatively every time. It gets three stars because the formula feels very advanced and high quality, and it probably works wonders for someone else. But if you know you have sensitive skin and easily react to exfoliation, I’d probably skip this one.
