I didn’t have very high expectations since I usually don’t like summery scents. This scent is a warm coconut scent that lasts🥥. Unfortunately, I didn’t really notice much lavender; it’s more on the sweet side🧁. I think the initial scent is nice, but after a while, it can feel quite heavy and you can easily get a headache. That’s why I only spray once. I think it lasts very well on clothes but not as much if you spray directly on the skin. I have tested these pimple patches and the originals in the red packaging. The red ones worked like magic for me, both on squeezed/open pimples and the deep ones under the skin. The difference between these and the originals is that these are supposed to be thinner and barely visible on the skin. I'm not sure if I can fully agree with that claim, but they are definitely thinner and maybe a bit more comfortable to wear on the skin. However, I have only tested these at night, as I often wear makeup during the day and then these become a bit too visible. I am just as satisfied with these as with the originals! They suck out the pus from open pimples and reduce the size of the deep ones under the skin. I have tested quite a few acne patches, both classic hydrocolloid patches and micro-needle patches. None have really worked that well for me. My go-to is Cosrx’s, as they are affordable and easily available. But they mostly only work about 50% of the time and only on pimples that are already open/popped. I was very excited to test these. (Un)fortunately (depending on 😆) I’ve been struggling quite a bit with my skin lately, so these arrived in the mail at a perfect time 😅 I have tested them on both deep, closed pimples – you know, the ones you usually get once a month – and on popped pimples. And I am actually extremely positively surprised! They worked great on popped pimples, as they are open and these suck out the pus inside, and the pimple is completely flat the next morning. I sleep with them on, as they should stay on for 6-8 hours to work. When it comes to those deep pimples under the skin, unfortunately, they didn’t disappear overnight, but they were at least half the size! I’ve never experienced that before. Hero Nose Patch
I got to test these nose patches from Hero. I’m a big fan of the pimple patches from this brand and was really excited about these. I’ve tested similar products before, where blackheads stick to the patch when you pull it off. The difference from the ones I’ve tested before is that these are supposed to stay on for 6 hours. These are supposed to absorb oil and pore residue according to the description. I have quite a few blackheads on my nose, so I was looking forward to trying these. After cleansing in the evening, I removed the patch from the protective film and applied it to my nose. But there’s still a plastic film on it that makes it feel very stiff; I managed to remove that too, but it was very difficult to get off without pulling off the whole patch. The patch didn’t smell particularly good and it was a bit uncomfortable to have it on my nose. But when you sleep, you naturally don’t notice it 😅 After 6 hours, the patch is supposed to be white from impurities and you can pull it off. As I said, I have quite a few blackheads, but the patch wasn’t white in the morning and when I pulled it off, I didn’t see any difference, unfortunately. I tested it 2 more times with the same result, so it didn’t work for me. But I probably have more sebaceous filaments than actual blackheads, so maybe that’s why. A bit too strong for me.
My first experience with this perfume was that it was really simple but beautiful in design. I put it on immediately and got a bit overwhelmed because it is very deep, heavy, and strong (in my opinion). Once it has settled a bit, it is very sweet, but it really sits heavy and I can get a slight headache from the heavy scent 😬. Otherwise, it is really lovely and has some good notes, I just prefer a lighter perfume. I let my mom try a tester, she LOVES it, which just perfectly shows how different it is from person to person! I can use the perfume in small amounts, but I wish it were lighter. Normally, I like summer scents and flowers, which this has, but the heavy and deep feeling just doesn’t work for me! However, I want to praise it for how long it lasts, I can still smell it at the end of the day. A very fresh floral scent, but one I still find heavy/strong. The positive is that it’s not so cold that it stings the nose, which many fresh perfumes do for me. So it’s heavy, warm, yet still fresh. For me, it’s a bit too strong/heavy, and for those sensitive to strong scents, it might cause headaches. It also didn’t last long on me. I generally prefer perfumes that are light, fresh, and sweet or warm and spicy scents. I think the combination of it being fresh and floral but still warm and extremely heavy doesn’t work for me. However, if you like that combo, it might be for you. The longevity wasn’t great either, but that’s largely individual, so it’s probably not something to take as a given. I started with essence concealer, and it was surprisingly good! I used it as foundation, and the coverage was perfect. It was easy to apply and sat nicely on the skin. A rich cream that smells heavenly of vanilla 🤍🍦
At first, I thought it could never be worth 499 kr. But just the bottle is really nice and feels a bit more exclusive, love the pump part. Easy to dose the right amount. 🩶 I have used the product for 3 weeks in my usual skincare routine as #lykotestpilot The cream feels rich, creamy, and buttery, but not sticky. Very moisturizing and plumps the skin in a pleasant way. Gives a nice glow immediately✨. For me, who often chooses lighter creams due to acne, it almost feels like a “forbidden fruit” to use 😅 It contains fats (but I think it absorbs well within about 10 minutes). 🧴 Was worried it would trigger my acne, so I introduced it in small amounts (1-2 pumps) about every other day. During the test, I got a few extra small pimples that might be due to the cream, but I’m not 100% sure since I can get pimples for various reasons (need to test longer). 🔴 Together with Emma S. Hyaluronic Essence, I got irritation (probably due to the combination of fragrance ingredients). But with my usual fragrance-free skincare, I haven’t experienced any irritation. 🤍 I totally fell in love with the SCENT and sometimes want to apply more because of it (have to resist😅). Soft, skin-close, warm. Think vanilla ice cream with a little soft white flower, in a balanced way. But powerful, smells for over an hour on the hand (good to know if you’re sensitive). A bit of a prickly “shampoo-soap scent” 🧼
As a #lykotestpilot, I unfortunately haven’t been able to use this very often due to the scent and some irritation. The product contains several fragrance ingredients, and the first thing I reacted to was the scent itself. I find it a bit prickly, sharp, and unpleasant. Unexpectedly “soapy,” with a bit of a cleansing scent, like shampoo/soap, but also somewhat floral and perfumed at the same time. It can be described as fresh, but unfortunately not a favorite in an essence I want to apply generously. (As a preference, I also dislike the scent in the Hyal-Reyouth toner from Dr Ceuracle for the same reason). 🧼🙅🏻♀️ I probably expected a softer floral scent or maybe more plum-like (since the bottle is pink and has “plum extract”) 🌸💜 Application: I have used it as a toner. The consistency is like a mix between toner and serum. A “slippery” feeling at first, reminded me a bit of the Snail Mucin Essence I recently tried – but more watery and not “stringy.” Sticky for the first minute, but dries quickly (about 5 minutes). Since I like to apply several layers of my toner/essence, I tried two layers – very moisture-saturated skin then, almost like the skin gets a moisture-binding “film.” 💧 When I apply my serums over it, I get a more moisture-saturated and humectant-heavy feeling faster than usual. (Usually, I love the plumping effect from hyaluronic acid in serums and can apply generously, but didn’t quite get the same feeling here 💧) Irritation: The scent lingers for a long time, at least 30 minutes. Together with the “Revitalising Day Cream,” it was way too many fragrance ingredients for me, and my skin became red, irritated, and itchy (especially where I had active acne). I also experience some irritation from this essence alone. 🔴 Skin type: 34 years old, combination: surface dry + a bit oily T-zone during the day. Have acne. And fine lines that I like to plump. Can sometimes be a bit sensitive, especially to strong scents on the face. I will not continue using the product. A nice gel-to-cream cleanser 🥒
Of the 3 products I've tested as #lykotestpilot for #emmas, I like this one best. It's one of the gentler gel cleansers I've tried, but you still feel clean and fresh from it 😊 I like that it has gentle cleansing agents, moisturizing ingredients, and a fun touch with cucumber extract. 🥒 A simple aesthetic bottle with a screw cap (would be more convenient with a flip cap, but at the same time, screw caps can reduce leakage and mess). 🤍 A slightly thicker transparent gel, but combined with water it becomes a bit creamier and white. Can be foamed up a little, but I think it feels mostly creamy. 🧴 Completely fragrance-free but smells slightly earthy/maybe cucumber, something natural but fresh. I've tested cleansing both with and without makeup. I don't feel it removes absolutely all makeup on its own – I get some foundation residue left on a cotton pad. But it's water-based, so I didn't really expect otherwise. My experience is that oil/wax-based products often dissolve makeup best. But very nice as a step-2 cleanser or when you haven't worn makeup. 🫧 About me: 34 years old, combination and surface dry with a slightly oily T-zone. I find the product suits me very well. "Clean skin, no drama" 🫧
This is a mild, gentle, and fragrance-free cleansing gel 🫧 The product comes in a sleek white tube with a screw cap. The cream that meets my expectations
I got to try this day cream from Emma S along with their facial cleanser and moisturizing toner, and I find that all three products together are a very good combination in a daily skincare routine. My skin is normal to combination, but I have periods where it becomes very dry. During these periods, makeup doesn’t sit well and the skin doesn’t absorb products as it should. I have previously tried different creams that either gave a good glow but poor hydration, or good hydration without glow. What I’m looking for in a day cream is exactly a balance between hydration, nourishment, and radiance. This day cream really delivers on all points. It hydrates the skin properly while giving a nice glow, and it’s a big plus that it also contains sun protection. After about three weeks of use, I noticed a clear improvement – my skin went from very dry to feeling soft, hydrated, and more balanced. The packaging feels luxurious and I like the pump function, but one downside is that the bottle isn’t transparent, which makes it hard to see how much product is left. Another downside is the price, which can feel high – especially if you use several products from the same line. Despite this, I think the product is worth it, especially since it really makes a difference for dry skin. I got to try this facial toner as a Lyko test pilot and was really positively surprised. My skin is normal to combination and can get dry at times, very dry especially around the mouth. But this product helped quickly and made the skin soft again. It was perfect timing that I got this product along with Emma S. I got to try this cleansing gel as a Lyko test pilot, and it really came at the right time when my skin was very dry. I normally have combination skin, but sometimes get dry periods where the skin flakes and makeup doesn't sit well. I didn't have high expectations, but was positively surprised. A perfect hit for me as a day cream!
I’ve found a new favorite product, this cream! It feels luxurious and is really good. I have dry skin, really dry skin, and want a lighter cream that still makes my skin hydrated, plumped, and nice, and that’s exactly what this cream does! I’ve tested three products from Emma S, and this is my favorite of the three that I will definitely buy again! It has a sleek design, and I’m just making my fine lines look better, as it says on the packaging. I think my entire facial skin looks nicer and fresher with the cream. It’s really fun to be truly satisfied with a cream that’s mid-priced and that I experience as luxurious and yes, more expensive! I wouldn’t be surprised if it cost around 800 SEK. As mentioned, it provides good moisture and other things that really give a nice result on my skin, which is a bit older and has started to be called mature. But I can also really imagine that it suits younger people than me. It contains a little bonus SPF, since you never use enough of a day cream for full sun protection, so that’s just a bonus because of that. The moment I would think it’s enough as SPF is a dark day in December when I’m outside no more than 5-7 minutes during the few daylight hours. But it still feels fresh with a little protection. The scent is mild, soft, and fresh, I find the scent nice and exclusive. A scent that doesn’t take up space and perks me up in the morning when I use the cream. It’s not the same scent as the Emma S Hydrating series, which is also nice and mild. Nice cream
I have been selected to test some products from #emmas 🙌 About me: almost 38 years old, (even though my mind says 20 🤷🏻♀️) where age starts to show in the form of fine lines around the eyes and some deeper lines on the forehead. I have a combination skin type with an oily T-zone but drier and somewhat red cheeks. I'm not super sensitive but can sometimes react to e.g. retinol or strongly perfumed skincare. For about a month, I have used this every morning. It is basically fragrance-free, only the product itself has a scent, and it is a completely okay scent. I find it quite light in texture and it absorbs quickly and leaves no shiny residue, despite containing SPF, which in my opinion often makes creams greasier. I think it's great that the sleek packaging has a pump. Three pumps usually work well for face, neck, and décolleté for me. A month is probably too short to notice any major difference in signs of aging, but I will continue to give it a chance until it runs out. I will update the review if I notice any improvement. However, I think it provides a lot of moisture, which my dry cheeks appreciate! Plus for including SPF, even though I wish it was higher. My skin is very dry, so I have several steps with moisture both morning and evening! I use an essence as step two after cleansing and usually have a very light preparatory toner before my essence. But I have tried this essence both directly on the skin and after the very light toner. This essence has a slightly different thickness compared to my previous "regular" essence. It is lighter but still thicker than a regular toner. Think more melted popsicle. I like it and have decided to use it during the day and that it works well without a preparatory toner underneath. The essence is light enough that it still absorbs well into the skin and suits daytime when makeup sits more easily on top of slightly thinner layers of moisture underneath. Now we are also in the brighter period of the year when sunscreen is applied layer upon layer during the day. This essence provides good moisture and feels nice to use. I get a feeling that it has something more than "just" hyaluronic acids and it also contains protective antioxidants, great! It protects the skin from free radicals. Mild and effective cleansing 💦
Gentle cleansing gel that promises good cleansing without drama on the tube, and it keeps that promise. My skin is dry, and I layer it with moisture, and even the cleansing I choose needs to be gentle on my skin and not provoke it, and a fragrance-free cleanser is great! But it actually has a faint scent that is fresh, so there are probably a few percent fragrance in it after all. And it’s not a harsh cleanser that doesn’t foam much, it barely produces any foam at all. That’s a big plus for my skin too! Despite its mild appearance, it cleans incredibly well, I remove all SPF and makeup so well that there’s hardly any sign of dirt on the cotton pad with micellar as step two in my evening cleansing routine. Since I have trouble using most products as eye cleansers, I haven’t removed eye makeup with this one, because I can’t tolerate most things, even those available at the pharmacy, a very specific allergy/sensitivity my skin around the eyes has, though I do tolerate eye creams, for example. I like to use Gentle Cleansing Gel when I have more makeup and several layers of SPF, not for me in winter but excellent right now in spring and until October. A reliable cleanser that I can use as a one-step cleansing if I’m super tired.
