Good cleansing without drying out
I had the honor of receiving the #dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel along with some of their other products and have tested them together. This gel has a very subtle and fresh scent and comes in a large package that is easy to use. The cleanser has a gel consistency that foams lightly when mixed with water. It feels fresh on the skin and cleans effectively without being too harsh. Afterwards, the skin feels clean and soft, not tight. The fact that the skin does not feel tight and dry is a big advantage for me as I have dry skin. Therefore, I can feel clean without any discomfort. After using the cleanser for a while, I am satisfied with this product and think it works well as a cleanser without drying out the skin. Scent?
I had the honor of receiving #dermalogica Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum along with some of their other products and have tested them together. I was in great need of a serum and was therefore so happy to receive this product. My first impression was how luxurious the packaging was. The serum comes in a glass bottle which is well protected inside a nicely designed box. The serum has a light texture that quickly absorbs into the skin and feels smooth to apply. One dropper is enough for the entire face and neck. The skin feels moisturized and gets a lot of glow immediately after application. However, the scent was a big downside for me. The scent is not too strong but doesn’t smell particularly fresh in my opinion and affects the experience for me. Thanks to the strong absorption into the skin, the scent disappears quickly. A serum requires more time to see results but the radiance and glow I have gotten have been perfect for me and I look forward to continuing to use this product. I have had the honor of receiving #dermalogica Daily Microfoliant along with some of their other products and have tested them together. I was very curious to try this product. What immediately caught my interest was that it is an exfoliant in powder form, which feels a bit different compared to regular scrubs. The first impression was that it felt gentle and easy to use. The product feels very mild on the skin but still effective. You activate it by rubbing the powder in your own wet hands. Then the powder foams up but still retains some grains that help exfoliate. After the first use, the skin already felt more radiant. I have dry skin type and therefore prefer exfoliating products that you wash off and do not stay on the skin. Therefore, this type of mild exfoliation suited me very well. After these weeks of use, my skin has neither become irritated nor dried out, which makes this product perfect for daily use. I love the glow I get from this and look forward to seeing what other benefits this product can provide. I prefer products that are not too strong or drying. Superserum
This is a fantastic oil-based serum that, despite being oil-based, is not thick and doesn’t ball up on the skin. I have dry, mature, and sensitive skin and usually need to use quite a bit of product to feel satisfied – this serum is no exception, but that entirely depends on my skin type. I really like the texture, even though I usually avoid other oil-based serums because of that. They often feel so “dry and clogging” when spread out, but this serum might be the exception that proves the rule? I think my skin feels more elastic now after using this serum for a good while. Glass skin
Got this cream in a Lyko Lovables box, something I really find fun since I love trying out new creams! I am 45 years old with basically dry skin that I maintain with good skincare. It is also sensitive. The cream really stands out in one way, and that is that it is terribly slippery! Like melted butter in a frying pan... I, who don’t use the included spatula but use my fingers to fish cream out of the jar, quickly realized this when I dropped some cream not just once but several times! Oops. But it is also this that gives you an incredible glow and what is called "glass skin." It is a very rich and moisturizing cream in that way. One of the best blushes I've tried!
Incredibly pigmented yet still easy to work with. It melts beautifully into the skin and never gets patchy, which is a big plus. I also find that it works no matter where in the routine you use it, and it even applies nicely on top of powder without any issues. I usually use the cream part as a base before powder, then build up with the powder part. Sometimes I even top it off with a bit of the cream again for extra glow, and the result is so pretty every time. I've tested it with both Revolution's translucent powder and Morphe's pink loose powder, and it works great with both. This is definitely a product I will buy for my future MUA kit, and I really want more shades. For the price, you get really high quality. After testing this during intense days at school (stylist studies), I can only say: WOW. Here’s why I love it, and why I think some criticism against it is misguided. Performance under pressure 🛠️ I used this yesterday during a blowout session. I was standing, working with the hairdryer, and sweating heavily, but the base stayed put! Nothing became "patchy" or blotchy. It really holds the base together in an impressive way. Setting spray vs. eye makeup 🎨 I often see criticism that it doesn’t "set" eyeshadow or eyeliner well enough, but honestly: • The right tool for the right job: Eye makeup is best set with eyeshadow primer, glue, or powder. • Pro tip: If you look at licensed MUAs, you often see they cover the eyes when spraying. Testing a spray based on how well the eyeliner holds isn’t, in my opinion, fair. For me, it’s enough that it fixes the base! Tell me please if I’m wrong! User experience • The spray: The spray function itself is absolutely magical! It’s such a fine mist, not those big drops you can get from other bottles. • The feel: The scent is just right (not too strong) and it feels incredibly refreshing on the face. This palette is absolutely amazing, especially for those of you with a cool undertone! Here are my thoughts after trying it out: Formulation & Pigment • Pigmentation: Really good color payoff overall. • Finish: A perfect blend of matte shadows and shimmer/glitter. The formulation feels consistent throughout the palette. • Favorite: The silver shadow is absolutely amazing – perfect for a bold silver look! My best application tips 💡 To get the most out of the glittery shadows and minimize fallout: 1. Tool: Use your fingertip or a damp, flat brush to make the glitter really "pop". 2. @inglot Duraline: Want extra intensity? Mix with a drop of Duraline. 3. Base: Apply on a sticky base (eyeshadow primers or concealer work great) for best results. It’s also very easy to do a cut crease on top of the base! 4. @LHcosmetics Sparkl: To avoid fallout on the cheeks, you can "set" the shadow with a liquid glitter product (e.g., LH Cosmetics Sparkl). Any downsides? The only negative is that there is some "kickback" (powder flying up) in the pan when dipping the brush, but that doesn’t bother me personally since the result on the eye is so good. Summary: LOVE IT! A perfect 5-star for anyone who loves cool tones and shimmer. A quick hair tutorial with Dyson Airwrap
Even when I actually wouldn’t have much time before work or event to style my hair I still do it. I feel like nothing could bring me down when I have a good hair day ✨ But when you don’t have much time for a big voluminous blowout the prep before styling matters much more. So I take a good 5 minutes for just adding the needed products to my hair so when I use the curling wand I can spend less time on my hair then than I would normally if I had all the time in the world to do a killer blowout. This routine takes me 15-30 minutes depending on how fast I’m actually going, if I’m skipping some steps or taking bigger sections of hair (<- tho I find that taking bigger sections doesn’t actually help, because then you need to spend more time on that one section). The quest for healthier hair continues. I've always had very damaged, dry & broken hair. My hair has definitely improved over the years but I still wish it could grow & get a little longer.☺️ This is what my hair care routine looks like right now & I can't link some products because I'm a test pilot & will give reviews on them when the time comes🤗 I use a microfiber (hand) towel instead of a regular towel because it's much gentler on the hair & I've noticed a big difference.
