Light and nice sunscreen
I have tried the Smuuti Skin Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion, and this is a product that has made it much easier to apply sun protection during the day, also over makeup. What I like best is how practical the packaging is. It takes up little space and is easy to carry in the bag, making it easy to reapply sunscreen when on the go. The applicator is comfortable to use, and the product is quick and easy to apply. I have normal skin but can sometimes get eczema and have a bit sensitive skin, so a big plus that it is fragrance-free. The sunscreen absorbs nicely into the skin without leaving the face white. It sits nicely over makeup without moving it or making it patchy. Additionally, the skin feels soft and well moisturized after use. I really like the consistency of the sunscreen, which is light and gives a nice glow as well as moisture to the skin. Tested a new product from #smuutiskin Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion. In my opinion, this product is "Black Girl friendly" as it does not leave a white cast on the face. The product melts into the skin, sits nicely on the skin, and works great over makeup. The skin also feels moisturized after use. The cushion format is convenient, hygienic, and perfect to carry in the handbag, which I think is a plus. The only downside, hence 4 stars, is that the product contains only 15 ml, which I find a bit pricey and will run out quickly. I like that it feels hygienic but it's a bit cumbersome to have to press the pump down with both hands. ✨ No scent, which I really like! ✨ The formula is very light and absorbs quickly. Tested the Smuuti Peach Sun Cushion for a few weeks and have mixed vibes about it. I like the texture, but I wasn’t a big fan of the Cushion setup itself. Convenient new makeup topper ☀️
I've surprisingly liked this a lot! The cushion packaging makes it really easy to add sunscreen during the day, and it doesn't ruin the makeup. The product feels light, doesn't leave a white cast, and leaves the skin feeling nicely moisturized. According to my calculations, you need to apply about 10 presses to get the SPF50 protection promised on the packaging. Because of that, the product also runs out quite quickly, and one package doesn't last very long. Pros: * Really easy to add on top of makeup. * Light and not sticky. * Fragrance-free. * In my opinion, a much-needed new product in the sun protection market. Cons: – You need to use surprisingly a lot of product to get the protection. – The package empties quite quickly. All in all, I like this a lot and believe I will buy it again. It’s really a perfect size to have in your handbag and apply extra sunscreen during the day when you’re not at home. Even better is that you don’t have to get your hands messy with the sunscreen since it has a small puff (which is also a cute little heart) that you apply it with! Another plus is that it has a small mirror! ✨ But when I actually tested the sunscreen, I was a bit disappointed with the packaging (which I had high hopes for). I found it hard to tell how much sunscreen you get out of the packaging since you pump a little at a time directly onto the small puff. It’s really hard to know how much sunscreen you’re actually using. 😣 Apart from the packaging, I think the sunscreen itself is really good! 💕☀️ It’s an SPF50 that protects very well. Also, the formula feels light and it absorbs quickly into the skin. You don’t feel like you have sunscreen on your face. 🥰 It also has no scent, which is appreciated! It also works very well together with makeup! With other sunscreens, I’ve experienced that makeup applied over sunscreen can shift a bit or mix with the sunscreen, but this one didn’t, which is a big plus! 🫶 However, I think the price is a bit steep. It’s a great sunscreen with a fantastic formula, but 15ml of product for 249kr is a bit too much in my opinion. Not worth the price
To be honest, I haven’t had the chance to properly test this sunscreen since I’ve only had it at home for just over a week and haven’t spent many continuous hours in the sun since then. What I can say is that I haven’t gotten sunburned during the time I’ve actually been outside! However, I did become a bit skeptical about how well and how long it protects, considering it’s recommended to use another base sunscreen under makeup and then this one for reapplication. You’d expect an SPF50 sunscreen to fully protect as long as you apply enough, right? Maybe it’s about them thinking you can “save” the product just for reapplication where it mainly comes into its own, considering it actually costs 249 SEK for 15 ml. That’s pricey, in my opinion! The advantage of this one is really the packaging. It’s convenient to carry in your bag without worrying about leaks or mess. It’s also easy to apply with the cushion pad. However, it’s very hard to tell how much product you’ve actually applied. It feels like the “sponge” soaks up quite a bit and you can’t see how much ends up on your face. Regarding how it behaves over makeup, I actually feel like the wrong person to ask. I rarely wear makeup, and when I do, I use a very thin and lightweight base! I think I could probably get the same result by using a lightweight sunscreen and applying it with a beauty blender. No white cast, light formula, and moisturizing promised, and that’s true🌟 It also doesn’t have any unpleasant scent. Now in the summer sun, it’s important to apply sunscreen, and to reapply several times if you choose to stay in the rays 🌞 Especially me, being ginger and easily getting burned, I always need to have sunscreen with me in the summer to avoid turning into a lobster🦞But it can often be a bit cumbersome to carry a big bottle of sunscreen in the bag 🫤 It’s also a bit tricky to reapply sunscreen over makeup without ruining it, which often creates a dilemma whether I want to ruin my makeup or risk getting burned. 🥵 That’s why I was really happy to try Peach Barrier Peach Sun Cushion from #SMUUTISKIN !🥳🥳🥳 The product is an SPF50 sunscreen in cushion format, which together with the small heart-shaped puff included, is supposed to make it easy to apply sunscreen during the day, even over makeup! My first impression was that the packaging was very cute, but also a very good size to carry in the bag! 🧡🩷The heart-shaped puff is also a fun touch! The product is very easy to use, and it still applies quite well over makeup (although the sponge can absorb some of the makeup). However, a slightly less good aspect is that you don’t really know how much sunscreen you need, and it feels like you need to use quite a lot. This combined with the fact that the packaging is not refillable makes it feel like the product will run out very quickly (since you only get 15 ml of product), and that you might have spent your money on something that doesn’t last very long. The price for the small amount you get might not be ideal :/ But who knows – maybe it lasts the whole summer and is then a perfect product to make sure you can reapply sun protection after a few hours! I personally appreciate that the product is fragrance-free since I’m sensitive to fragrance! It also contains peach extract and ceramides that protect your skin barrier (always a plus)! I also love that it’s SPF 50, for a fellow ginger like me who burns at the slightest sun exposure 😜👩🏻🦰 I think the idea itself is phenomenal, but the execution could maybe be improved a bit. As I suspected, the makeup base was not the same after this product😐 The base started moving and looked uneven after application. Of course, it must be noted that despite it being summer, my makeup base isn’t very light, so maybe this kind of product would work with less makeup, I don’t know🤷🏻♀️ I also find it maybe a bit troublesome to apply sunscreen this way, and there’s no guarantee the cream is evenly spread everywhere. The packaging must be praised though, the mirror was a great feature here! Also, the model and size of this product are good even in smaller spaces. The sponge seemed to absorb both makeup and creams on first use😅 The cream itself isn’t much in this packaging, so the idea of having to invest in several of these during the summer isn’t appealing price-wise. The sunscreen itself was very light and absorbed quickly! There was no scent. I really liked this product on its own and also under makeup a lot, even though it wasn’t specifically designed for that. I've gotten to try Smuutis skin peach sun cushion spf 50 and have tested it a few times now, and I think the idea is good but it would be better if the product was in powder form rather than liquid. It's hard to work it in when you already have makeup on top. It feels like I've been at it forever. When I use SPF otherwise, I apply it very generously, so when I tested this the second time, I applied it before makeup. Despite that, I think it's a good SPF, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or crumble!
