If you like the sister product Almost lipstick in the same color but want something more juicy while being willing to compromise on how long the color lasts, I can recommend this. The color gives me a natural result as blush, even though I personally don’t like feeling oily on my cheeks. The reason I only give three stars is that the packaging is a real fingerprint and scratch magnet. Moisturizing and good format
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test this lip gloss from #Clinique. It's important to keep in mind with products like this, dark but at the same time transparent color, not to have all flaky lips before starting to use it. I recommend using a light scrub if you haven't done it in a while, otherwise the result will be quite patchy. Just because the product is clearly colored, it's good that the tip is narrower than on regular lip balms, to avoid applying outside the lips when I'm in a rush. I also appreciate that the packaging seems to be resistant to scratches and fingerprints; the same cannot be said for the sister product, the lip and cheek oil. In the picture, I have painted my lips with lip gloss on one half and lip oil on the other. Nice color and pleasant formula
I use lip balm without color daily, but I rarely use products with color on my lips, as I'm a bit afraid they'll dry out. A product to my taste
I have tried to figure out how to best describe this lip gloss, and I have come to the conclusion that "lagom" might be the best word? It is LAGOM💘 I use lip balm daily but rarely products with color in them, probably because I don’t think I suit it. I've heard a lot about this, but I've never tested it since I have something similar from Givenchy that they came out with a few years back. BUT I have to say that I actually prefer this. Feels more moisturizing and gives a slightly softer color on the lips. In combo with Mac lipliner in the shade: stone, this is a COMBO I've used a lot since 😍. JUST LOOK AT IT 🤌. Even though Clinique has a lip and cheek combo product, I feel this can do the same job. Natural flush ☺️
Okay so this is fun! 2 in 1 products are always exciting to test out, and this was no exception! The consistency is a bit gloss-like without being sticky, and on the lips, it feels nourishing like a lip oil should. The color itself is very mild even though it looks strong at first glance. For use as a blush, you will get a natural flush color and glow if you have nothing under a light layer of foundation. For someone who is usually a bit red in the skin, it was fantastic that this only left a little color and could be built up. ☺️ also very much a fan of the berry color as I feel pink/reddish blush on me gets too strong. 🍒🫐🍓 🚫 heads up! I got to test Clinique's new Pop Lip & Cheek Oil in the shade Black Honey Glow 🍯✨ Comes in a cute packaging, and the applicator was very soft and comfortable to apply. The product has no scent. Personally, I felt the color was a bit "harsh" on me, in the sense that I have very light skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. And even though the color becomes very sheer, a dark berry color didn't suit my look, as I struggled a bit to get the color to work for everyday 🍒 I couldn't quite pull-it-off! I didn't use any other product over the lip&cheek oil when I applied it on my cheekbone to test the blush effect. Since I only use skincare for everyday, I felt my cheeks looked very glossy and it became a bit sticky. (In the picture, I only have the blush effect on the left side). Plus, I prefer not to "dip"/use the applicator on other products for hygienic reasons. I will probably only use the product on my lips in the future, as it applied very nicely and provided long-lasting moisture 💋 I choose not to rate the product poorly even though the color didn't suit me, as I thought the product itself was nice and did what it was supposed to. Really good lip oil!
As a #lykoinflutester, I had the opportunity to test the lip oil from #clinique. (color Black Honey) I have also previously had the chance to test similar products from Clarins. I can say that both brands are equally good! 😊 When I received the products, I was a bit skeptical because of the dark color, but wow, how nice it looks on the lips, and not at all too strong in shade! It really suited my taste hehe. The oil is easy to apply, practical to carry, doesn’t need to be reapplied often, gives a nice and natural result, and feels moisturizing/caring. 💄💋 However, I cannot recommend using it on the cheeks, it didn’t turn out well, way too sticky to use that way. Nice to wear for all possible occasions. The most important thing is that the lips feel soft and not at all dry after a few hours of use. If you’re looking for a caring and not sticky lip gloss, you’re in the right place! I can highly recommend it, despite the high price. A dream for the lips
This is a makeup product that feels like skincare! It is so incredibly soft and lovely on the lips and really provides a wonderful hydration without feeling sticky. I think it feels so light on the lips that you don't even notice you have a product on, while it is also so moisturizing! It builds up gradually, so it's easy to adjust how much color you want! I also use this as a little finishing product on the cheeks as blush, where I think it is more pigmented and gives a lot of color quickly! What I unfortunately don't like about this is the color itself, it doesn't suit me which makes me so sad. But since this is so easy to build up, I usually use this for everyday with just one layer. But I prefer more brown tones on my lips and this is definitely leaning towards the berry side 🫐 With one layer, I would say the color becomes like your natural lips but with more color, so it can really give a lovely natural result if you're looking for that! What makes it not get a full score is that it's hard to get nice lines on the lips. This lip oil is really amazing, a true multiproduct! I use this for my lips but also for my cheeks as a lovely blush! Since it is a very berry color and not really what I usually reach for on my lips, I have mostly used this for my cheeks. On the cheeks, it is super pigmented, easy to blend into the skin, and gives a nice, natural glow! I use it both in my base, but also to touch up during the day, and it lays down super nicely even over a powdered face. It loses a bit of color throughout the day, which is common with blush, but it’s really not anything extreme, and for being a lip oil, it’s truly exceeded expectations! I think it moisturizes the lips and really gives a natural result! But as I wrote above, this is not my color at all, so for everyday use, I avoid it solely because of the color. But I have of course used it when the occasion fits and I think it will be used frequently in the summer when you want a bit more berry lips 🫐 What mainly brings down the rating is that I have a bit of trouble with the applicator, I think a lot of product comes out that is hard to blend. Nice, but there are better options
This should be usable on both lips and cheeks, and I believe it can to a certain extent. I think it looks nice on the cheeks on a makeup-free day just to add a bit of color, but it's way too sticky/tacky to wear over other makeup, in my opinion. The color also suited this type of use well. On the lips, it's fine, gives a nice shine and color, but I have so many other lip favorites for half the price. I know that the color of this lip gloss is scary at first glance. It was for me too haha! BUT, it’s not as brown/purple dark as it looks on the actual stick. Instead, I find that it melts into the lips and gives an effect of fuller lips. It’s so natural? I’m also one of those who has extremely dry lips during the winter and therefore can’t apply just anything on my lips. But this really works so well 🙌🏼 It provides a lot of moisture and doesn’t settle into dry patches. And an extra tip is really to use this together with Clinique Pop Lip & Cheek Oil Black Honey Glow. This lip gloss looks so incredibly nice together with Clinique Almost Lipstick Black Honey. It gives the same soft and neutral shade but this one adds an extra effect of fullness. As you can see, the gloss is really pure and clear gloss, not a bunch of glitter particles but it makes the lips look so yummy haha 🫦 You can also use this product on your cheeks which I personally appreciate since I like to have the same shade on both lips and blush. Additionally, it provides a lot of moisture and doesn’t feel all sticky and gooey on the lips like many lip glosses can do. Good lip oil
I am a big fan of lip oil. And this one feels really good on the lips. It doesn't get sticky. Moisturizes and glides on well. I tried it on my cheeks as blush, but didn't like how it feels on my face. There it felt much stickier, so I think it's best on the lips. Quite transparent in color, but still makes the lips darker and redder. Personally, I don't like this type of colors for my skin tone. If it had been a different shade/cooler tone, I would have bought it again. Super cute and caring
Almost lipstick is a fantastic lightweight lip balm that gives a hint of color but also has so many caring properties🤩 Fantastic to have in your bag for touch-ups during the day, but also as a caring balm, 2-in-1 function! Wow magical oil
I just say wow! I am completely blown away by this lip oil👏🏼 I love everything that has a bit of browner, orangey tones for the lips, this color is like my own lip color but even better and a bit stronger. I've never felt so confident in a lip color as when I put this on🤩 My go-to when it comes to lips is really a nourishing product with a bit of color in it, so this is spot on MY product😍❤️ My lips feel hydrated and kind of calm when I use this oil. The packaging on this is very nice, and it looks very exclusive. I like the slim tube that makes the product very easy to carry. The product claims to be a moisturizing lip gloss with transparent pigments that melt together with your natural lip color, and it’s very cool since the chance that two people will get different results is quite high. The product is very moisturizing, and a big plus is that it is fragrance-free. I saw that there was a girl who suggested using this as a lip liner, so I’ve tried using it in a few different ways. I prefer to use it as a lip liner with gloss over it rather than as a lipstick. I’ve tried this product before, and I stand by the same opinion I had then.
