Cool but natural shade on the lips, became go in the face
My first thought was that this would be very dark on me, so I would have never at first glance bought it myself just from seeing the product image. However, it only took itself as a tint and didn't get dark at all. I tried it on my lips a couple of times and really liked the shade and the light gloss. It presents itself as a versatile oil that helps to nourish the lips with a nutrient-rich blend of oils. HOWEVER, I felt that it dried out in the long run and I needed to reapply all the time to not feel that my lips were dry and tightening. For this reason, I would not buy it again, not even in another shade. Then I also tried it as a glowy blush, which I rarely do with products like these, I prefer something in powder form or creamy form that I then set with powder. My experience of this, as that color became very cool on me, was that all the glow held up all day, but when I got home after a workday, I looked more like I had gone out in the skin than rouged. Maybe the shade works better for this purpose on someone else than my skin tone, I am light but warm, slightly olive. It felt like it clashed. The shade did lay nicely on my lips. + The glow, when I had it on my cheeks, held the glow all day. - The color, didn't work on my skin tone on cheeks: became gray/purple during the day. I had the honor of being #lykoinflutester again, and this time the product for review was #clinique honey Collection Pop Lip & Cheek Oil Black Honey Glow.💋💄 The product is a liquid version of Clinique's popular Clinique Honey Collection Almost Lipstick Black Honey product. However, I haven't had the chance to test it yet, so I can't compare the products.🐝💄 The product came in a very beautiful and summery packaging. Natural and simple glow ✨
I got to try Clinique Pop Lip & Cheek Oil in Black Honey Glow. When I first saw the packaging, I thought the color would be way too dark, but on the lips and skin, it becomes much softer and more natural than you think. On the lips, it feels like a mix of nourishing balm and gloss: moisturizing, lovely, and completely scent-free. It doesn't last very long, but even when the shine has faded, the lips feel soft and hydrated. As a blush, I'm not as impressed. Sure, it gives a nice glow, but I feel like the product disrupts the makeup underneath, and the color also disappears quite quickly. Therefore, I definitely prefer to use it on the lips. However, I can imagine it could be nice to apply directly on the skin if you're not wearing makeup underneath! First of all, I just want to mention that this was done a bit in haste, I was so unfortunate to write the wrong date on the calendar for the review. I apologize so much for the poor quality of the video. But I hope the review gets across the important points💗 The first impression is an incredibly cute packaging. While the actual packaging of the product is very sleek and has a classic design. Even though I prefer gold, silver rarely goes wrong. I quickly think of their classic Black Honey Lipstick, which is in silver, so it creates a nice connection in the series. Second is the scent, which smells almost like nothing? Something I appreciate because I find that many lip oils have an incredibly intense mint scent that I can't handle. So a big plus for the scent! Or should I say for having almost no scent? haha Third is the product itself - it has an incredibly nice color! In the video, you can see me wearing it combined with the lip liner from Mac in the color Whirl - such a nice combo! Perfect for fall🍂 The product feels very soft on the lips and not heavy. On the cheeks, it is a bit sticky, but the feeling goes away quickly and feels like one with the skin. The oil gives a glow on the cheeks in addition to the light color, a bit like a blush highlight combo. From experience, I feel the color fades throughout the day, so I will combine it with another blush as a base. If you want a more INTENSE color, I would combine it with another blush, for example, a matte creamy blush as a base. If it might not be the right one for you blush-wise at all, it can still be perfect for your lips. What I can say for sure is that this will definitely be thrown in my bag😍 especially this fall!
