The post was made 1 weekVANILLA IN HEADWIND 🌬️🤍🌊 The weather forecast said gray and windy, so today I obviously decided to send a vanilla dessert on a trip along the shore 😂 First, I sprayed Glöd by Sophie Elise Uncovered on my skin. It probably would have preferred to stay home under a warm blanket with all its soft vanilla, but then Björk & Berries Mareld came in with two sprays and threw the door wide open: "Put on your shoes – we’re going out in the wind!" And strangely enough, it works really well. The warm and sweet vanilla meets cool, salty sea air, violet, and dark ocean notes. The result is soft and warm inside, but fresh, a little mysterious, and almost stormy on the outside. Now I’m walking around smelling like a vanilla dessert with the wind in my hair. I got Powder Love from Juliette Has a Gun in By Lyko Lovables Scentsational, and I really liked it! I like sweet scents, and here I get the sweetness along with a soft powdery feel. Almond and marshmallow give a bit of candy vibes, while the musk makes the scent round and cozy. A scent I want to smell again 😉😍 It’s also nice to combine with other scents. Vanilla and tonka bean can add extra sweetness and warmth, while musk and sandalwood can highlight the softness. For a fresher twist, pear or bergamot can be nice to try. A bit of everything and experimenting – that’s half the fun. In other words: Sunglasses on top – warm sweater underneath 😂 Then Jil Sander Sun got to come first with orange blossom, creamy vanilla, amber, and sandalwood. She showed up as if it were still summer vacation, of course with sunglasses on ☀️ Then Valentino Uomo Yellow Dream came through the door with pineapple, fresh citrus, and a small bag of gingerbread under the arm. And yes, it says Uomo on the bottle – but luckily my skin can’t read 😉 Together they become golden, creamy, and just the right amount of spicy: first I notice the fresh pineapple and citrus, before warm vanilla, gingerbread, and sandalwood wrap around it all. Not quite summer and not quite Christmas – just a lovely October day with sun on the face and warmth in the scent 🍂☀️ I used two light sprays of Jil Sander Sun first and one spray of Yellow Dream on top. So the bottle stood there today whispering: “He’s not home now … shall we?” 😉 And of course, we should. I started with Tobacco Vanilla and let it be dark, warm, and a bit dramatic. Then 4711 Original Eau de Cologne came rushing in, opened all the windows, and shouted: “We need citrus and fresh air here!” 🍋🌿 Together they become surprisingly good! 4711 makes the tobacco and vanilla lighter and more daytime-friendly, while Nobéru gives the classic cologne warmth and personality. On my skin, I also get a lovely feeling of orange with cloves – kind of like the Christmas orange has taken a fresh autumn stroll 🍊🍂 I used two sprays of Tobacco Vanilla first and some light sprays of 4711 over it. The result is warm, fresh, spicy, and just the right amount of cheeky. "We'll just stay a little while," they say. Yeah, right … 😉 Shortly after, the flowers come in – tuberose, rose, and jasmine, dressed up for a party and with no intention of being modest. Just as it starts to feel a bit too elegant, vanilla and sandalwood throw a soft blanket over the whole gathering, while patchouli dims the lights. And suddenly, we're left with a scent that's fruity, warm, creamy, and just the right amount of sensual. Rituals Ciel Rouge feels grown-up without being strict, playful without being overly sweet, and feminine without being timid. A bit like a red sunset in perfume form – wearing lipstick and with zero plans to go to bed early ❤️🌹 This is also one of those scents that makes me keep sniffing my own wrist all the time. It’s rich and lovely in texture, makes the skin soft and nice, and smells so amazing that I keep catching myself opening the jar just to sniff a little 😂💕 I actually think it can compete with the body creams from Sol de Janeiro, just at a much nicer price! Marshmallow in a jar – and I’m sold! 💗
This is a rich and creamy body butter with, among other things, coconut oil and shea butter, made to give the skin plenty of moisture and make it soft and smooth. The texture is thick and nourishing, but I don’t find it feels uncomfortably heavy on the skin. And the scent … it simply smells heavenly! 🩷💓 Sweet, soft, and creamy marshmallow, almost like something you could eat.
