Good but not for daily use
I have been testing this product for almost a month now. For reference, I have a dry skin type. This enzyme powder has been a bestseller for a long time. The powder itself is mixed with a little water to form a smooth paste that is then massaged into the skin after cleansing. It is supposed to remove dead skin cells and provide glow through a combination of chemical and mechanical exfoliation. My skin feels very soft afterwards but a bit tight. I also experience that subsequent skincare can sting a little. It says that this can be used daily. Please do not do that if you donβt want to ruin your skin barrier, 2-3 times a week is plenty for most. Overall a good exfoliation if you want more mechanical or a combo with chemical exfoliation. A cream for those who like a little glow
Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 I have been testing this product for almost a month now. As a reference, I have a dry skin type. This is a day cream with SPF 50. SPF is a bonus but does not replace the use of sun protection. The cream comes in a pump bottle, which I find convenient as it reduces mess and simplifies dispensing. The cream has a pleasant scent but a slight scent of sun protection. Itβs not overwhelming, but you can still feel that scent is there. Lovely cleansing
I have been testing this cleanser for almost a month now. As a reference, I have dry skin. I have tried many cleansers over the years and have rarely had a strong opinion about a cleansing product. But now I do! I am obsessed with this cleanser! It meets almost all my requirements for a good cleanser except for one. Generous bottle with a pump that can be closed, which makes it easy to dispense and minimizes mess. The cleanser itself is blue in color and smells lovely. A fresh scent that calms the mind. Good but expensive. The question remains if it's effective?
I have been testing this serum for just over a month. As a reference, my skin type is dry and I have fine lines on my face. This is supposed to be a high-tech and innovative serum with plant extracts, fermented ingredients, and peptides. The serum comes in a bottle with a click pipette. The design is absolutely necessary as the serum is very viscous. But despite the design, it can still sometimes be difficult to get product into the pipette. The serum is, besides the consistency, somewhat oily, which makes it ideal for dry and mature skin. It feels wonderful to apply this as you can immediately feel how soft the skin becomes. I am unsure if very oily skin would like this feeling. There is a faint scent that is pleasant, but if you dislike scent in your product, you should look for something else. In terms of results, I haven't seen any miraculous changes in my skin, but the usage time has also been short. The price range is definitely higher, and I am torn on whether it is justified. An incredibly good and moisturizing cleanser that leaves the skin soft and shiny! I've tried many different ones that I feel leave my skin dry afterward. This one removes all makeup and doesn't damage the skin! The price is a bit high, but if you have sensitive skin and need a product to maintain your skin, it's worth it! I got this product to test. I have been using it for a while now and can give my honest opinion on it. Dermalogica's products are new to me, but I have heard a lot of good things about them, so I was looking forward to testing these products. I have combination skin and in the winter it is surface dry. I start by cleansing my face with Dermalogica's Magnetic Afterglow Cleanser and then I still use this Daily Microfoliant scrub. At first, I was unsure if I could use it every day, but I decided to give it a try, and it has worked really well for me. The scrub is gentle, and that's why I dare to use it daily, but only in the evenings. It is also easy to use. You just take a teaspoon of powder on a wet hand and then rub your hands together to get the right consistency. After that, massage it into your face for 1 minute and rinse it off. It leaves the skin wonderfully soft and fresh. One star off because it is expensive. I got the product to test, and now I can share my opinion about it after I've had time to try it out in peace. I really like this a lot. I have combination skin, and in winter it gets surface dry. This works really well for my skin. It cleanses all makeup extremely well, even waterproof mascara. It doesn't leave a tight feeling, nor does it dry out the skin, but rather the opposite. I have been using this powder for several months and am very satisfied with it. I prefer to use it in the shower after cleansing my skin normally. Then I take the powder directly into a damp hand, gently rub my hands together before applying it to my face. Itβs an art to get the right consistency at first, but it becomes completely natural over time. This way, the grains still remain a little present, not completely gone, which is how I like it. You can also massage a bit more in your hands if you donβt want that. You need very little at a time, so you have to pour the product out carefully to avoid wasting it. I apply the scrub for about a minute before rinsing, and then my skin is silky soft. I focus on the T-zone and notice a big effect there when I use it regularly. The skin becomes completely smooth, not tight, dead skin is gone, and you get a nice glow. A bit pricey, but itβs worth it. Since I use other active ingredients in my skincare routine, I stick to 2-3 times a week, and thatβs perfect for me. The scrub is very mild and can basically be used daily even by those with sensitive skin. It also works well if you have discoloration from previous pimples on your face, I find that it has a brightening effect after about 1-2 weeks of regular use. I've been testing this for a few weeks and yes, I am converted! This is my new holy grailπ I have combination skin, a bit sensitive and quite dry when it starts to get coldπ₯Ά My biggest problem with combination skin is finding something that provides good moisture to the areas that need it without getting oily in the rest of my face. Good but not the best
I have tested this for a few weeks along with several products in this series and I am generally quite satisfied! BUT here are some things we should talk aboutπ«£ I have not been a fan of oil-based serums before, but here dermalogica has managed to change my mind! The serum is myyy soft, provides lots of moisture, and maybe the most important for me; it doesn't feel sticky and absorbs quickly!! When it comes to the promises the serum makes, it gets some points for hydrating well, but I haven't felt or seen much change in lines and wrinkles from facial expressions π«£ If you have used dermalogica before, you might know that the products don't have the best scent in the world, but you have to sacrifice something for beautyπ The ingredients and results are good and the scent disappears quite quickly! With this one, I struggled a bit to get the pipette to work, it just wouldn't pick up more than 2 small drops at a time. The bottle is matte and gets a bit oily quickly, so I recommend screwing it back on and putting it away BEFORE you start massaging in the serumπ All in all, this is a good serum, but I don't think it delivers on all its promises. Mild but a bit tricky
I've been testing this for several weeks now, and as someone who often wears makeup, spends many hours in the city air, and has skin that sometimes feels dry and tight, this has become a nice little ritual in my evening routine. It provides mild exfoliation, soft and glowy skinπ The product is a powder that you mix with water so it foams up. I have to honestly say that I'm not a super fan of this way of doing it, as it is a bit messy and hard to get a good consistency. I've been testing this for a few weeks now and I must say; I am impressed! π Dermalogica rarely disappoints and this line is no exception. My skin: combination, a bit sensitive, dry in the fall/winter. This cleanser works peeerf for my skin, it cleans well without drying out the skin and also provides moisture! What I liked: - The skin feels soft and hydrated, not tight or dry like some cleansers do - It does the job of removing the day's impurities, both makeup and city air - The skin definitely looks fresh after use! - The consistency is good, easy to work into the skin and easy to rinse off. Funny concept with gentle peeling effect
This is a dry powder that you mix with water to activate. It is a peeling/exfoliation and should be able to be used daily. I don't think it has enough peeling effect, and it's hard to learn what the right amount of water is. I first tried to do this over the sink, but it got quite messy. The best approach ended up being to have it standing in the shower and mix it in my hands inside the shower after using a cleanser (description of my skincare routine is below). Positives: β Cool concept β Seems economical in use β I like that it can be used daily β Easy to take in luggage, weighs little and no risk of spills in bag etc. β Makes skin soft and "more elastic" Negatives: β A bit difficult to calculate the right amount of powder and the right amount of water β I would have preferred larger grains with more peeling effect (even though it is for daily use, I think the peeling effect could be a bit stronger) β I don't find it so easy to rinse off/remove, and sometimes the grains collect around the eyes/nose edges, which is hard to rinse off Overall, you can tell that this is an innovative and cool product, but I don't feel it has a strong enough effect for my skin. For example, I had some dry skin spots/scabs from pimples that started to disappear. Regular peeling would have scrubbed these away, but this one didn't. Face cream with proper SPF!
I've missed a face cream that isn't heavy even though it has a lot of SPF. I've tried different ones with high SPF before, but they have been too greasy and not comfortable on the skin (especially not under makeup). I think this one is good! It's one of the best I've had under makeup, but I still think it could absorb even better. It's not the best to have under makeup when I'm going for a full party look, as the foundation doesn't sit as well, but all in all, I'm quite satisfied. I really like the pump and the way the product comes out. The mechanism makes it easy to take the right amount, and not too much. It doesn't have a strong scent, but I think the smell is totally okay (white tea scent). I feel like my skin gets softer with this, and that it becomes more elastic. I think it seems like this component in my skincare routine (described below) has the most effect on softness/that the skin feels more elastic. I don't notice a reduction in fine lines yet, but maybe that will come in time. Very good day cream
I must admit that I am actually one of those who prefers day cream and sunscreen separately to ensure that I get good enough protection. Now that itβs winter, such a product is still quite practical, as Iβve noticed that I often skip sunscreen and choose skin cream instead - and one should use sunscreen all year round :) I have a very good impression of the cream. It applies nicely to the skin without whitecast, doesnβt smell too much, and absorbs relatively quickly, but not completely. The skin is still a bit sticky a couple of minutes later, which I personally like, as it gives a nice glow and a good base for makeup to sit better throughout the day. Good ingredients and I can tell that my skin likes this. 1-2 pumps on the face is enough. Good multiproduct. A bit expensive for just a sunscreen, but one must take into account that this is also an active day cream. Then the price is quite reasonable. A small but here it is; the product contains several fragrance substances and may be irritating if you have sensitive skin, including limonene, which many may react to. There are also several oils, including clove oil.. Chemical sunscreen (Avobenzone + Octinoxate) - may be irritating if you have a weakened skin barrier after retinol, for example. So take another look at the ingredients if you are sensitive or acne-prone. I've been using this for about a month and my skin hasn't felt this good in a long time! A very nice day cream with SPF!
I got to try this nice day cream with SPF 50 from Dermalogica, and I really thought it was great!π I have combination skin that is a bit on the drier side now during the fall, and this cream has suited me very well.βΊοΈ It comes in a convenient and practical packaging. Even though it has SPF 50, I don't think it smells like a sunscreen at all, but has a much fresher scent.π Two pumps are enough for the whole face. A luxurious fragrant serum!
I got to test this serum from dermalogica, a serum that is supposed to be moisturizing and firming.β¨ The serum comes in a nice gray matte packaging. I have used it between face wash and face cream. I got to try this magical exfoliation from dermalogica.π₯³ I have combination skin that tends to be a bit drier now during the winter months.π This is the first time I'm trying an exfoliation in powder form like this. You take about a teaspoon of powder and mix it with a little water, then massage it into your face for 1-2 minutes.π It's gentle, so I've been using it daily. The best cleanser I've ever tested!
This cleanser feels like it works. When you put it on your skin, it feels like something is happening, almost like your skin is being "pulled" towards the product. I don't know how to explain it, but it leaves the skin completely clean and soft. I've tested many facial cleansers, and this is probably the best one I've tested. I don't really like the smell, but I feel like it smells clean. I keep the product in the shower and use it every evening (sometimes also in the morning to feel fresh). It has a good consistency, is easy to apply, and easy to rinse off (in the shower!). I tried using the cleanser over the sink, but I found it difficult to rinse all the product off, so for me, it works best to use this cleanser in the shower, it sticks a little "tight" and needs to be rinsed off while massaging/using your hands to wash it off. I had some impurities before I started testing this cleanser (and several of the products in the same series that I will come back to below). I felt that especially this cleanser helped to remove impurities and make my pores a little smaller on my nose! Positives: β Feels completely "magical" on the skin β Cleans the skin properly, and impurities disappeared within a few days, I also felt that this made my pores a little smaller β You don't need much product to get a good effect β Good pump, and solid design Negatives: β The smell, but that's a matter of taste (smells clean/natural/woodsy, I think) I want to buy this cleanser again when the one I have is empty!
