Poor application of spray
The most positive thing about this heat protection spray is that it smells amazing - reminds me of watermelon and summer. The scent lingers in the hair after application. I have quite damaged and thick hair with fine strands, which can lead to me getting tangles in wet hair too quickly. I find that this spray did not distribute well in the hair, but sprayed the product in one spot. It was difficult to distribute the product throughout the hair as the nozzle did not distribute it evenly - felt like a water gun. The spray contains argan oil, provitamin B, proteins, and other protective ingredients, which is surely good for the hair - but I did not notice any difference after using it for a while. Didn’t quite fit my thick hair
I was lucky enough to try this blowout heat brush as a Lykoinflutester. I’ve never used a heat brush like this before - but have always wanted to try. A bit about my hair: I have quite thick hair but thin hair strands which means it takes a long time to blow dry my hair. It’s also a bit damaged from a lot of bleaching. I didn’t quite understand how to use this heat brush - I found it heavy and difficult to hold without burning myself. I tried to blow dry/brush my hair upwards as the instructions said, but I didn’t get it to work well. Maybe my hair was too wet when I tried. I sectioned my hair into small parts to get the best possible blow dry, but I found it difficult (maybe you have to practice getting it right several times, but I have little patience when it comes to blow drying my hair) I felt like I spent too long blow drying each section. I also felt the cord of the brush was in the way when I was using it. Not quite for me, but I can understand those who like to spend a lot of time fixing their hair for different occasions - but unfortunately, it’s not for me. I also thought it was much louder than a regular blow dryer would be. Very sticky, but the point?
I had the opportunity to test NYX The face glue primer 😊 I’ve heard a lot about this primer, both positive and negative, as it became very popular on TikTok. A bit about my skin: I have a combination skin type, where I can get dry in the T-zone but oily in the rest of my face. Now in winter, when the weather often shifts from high humidity in the air to dry, I often struggle with a bit of dry skin on my face. I was a bit disappointed that this primer didn’t cover my pores, they became more visible after I applied primer and foundation. I also had to wait a bit as it needed time to stick to my face - something that many have experienced. I also found that my face felt sticky long after I had applied setting spray 🥲 I also felt that foundation was difficult to apply on this primer as it wouldn’t spread out on my face. I had to use a lot of force to get it even. It felt a bit like walking around with a face mask that never dried in. This unfortunately may not have suited my skin, but I see that many others are very satisfied with this primer. Something positive about the primer is that it has no scent, you don’t need to use much of the primer before you feel you’ve got it all over your face. It is very sticky which is probably good when you’re applying a lot of makeup like e.g. eyeshadow or similar products. It’s cheap! The feeling of being at the hairdresser's
I've used this hair oil before and was positive about trying it again. You don't need to use much of the oil before you notice a difference between before and after. It absorbs quickly into the hair. My hair is damaged from a lot of bleaching, so this is perfect for adding moisture to dry and damaged hair. I don't find that the oil leaves my hair greasy like many other oils can do. And it has a fantastic candy scent that makes you feel fresh like after a hair appointment. I love that the oil is vegan and cruelty-free ❤️ this is an oil I will recommend 😊👍 If I have to take down a point, it's that the oil contains silicone, which many say can be difficult to wash out of the hair after washing. A help in need for a toddler mom
I have been so lucky to try out these eye masks 👌😍 When you go a long time without sleep, it happens that you get bags under your eyes and feel completely awful. These are easy to apply, you just throw them on without having to cleanse your skin or apply other things. There is a lot of product on them that makes them slide a bit around the eyes, but if you sit still, they lie nicely under the eyes. I tend to get bags and dark circles around my eyes if I sleep little, but after using these for a while, my eyes feel more hydrated and fresh than before. Fantastic moisturizing sunscreen
This time as a Lyko Influtester, we got to try La Roche's sunscreens. The consistency is semi-thick, something that reminds me a lot of body lotion, it absorbs quickly into the skin, and you feel that the skin becomes moist. It gives a shiny surface, and the skin doesn't feel sticky. We haven't had so many warm sunny days where I sit outside a lot in the sun, which means I don't need a sun factor of 50. But this sunscreen is perfect for you if you're going to southern regions where you sit a lot in strong sun. This is water-, sweat-, and sand-resistant, which is really good when you're going to swim in the summer heat. The packaging is made from environmentally friendly products. The only downside is that when you open the little plastic piece to get the sunscreen out, it can cause a bit of a mess, but it's just to wipe it away before you put the sunscreen away. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave the skin with a white film, which often other products can do. But this sunscreen is perfect for you if you're going to southern regions where you sit outside a lot in strong sun. It doesn't sting the eyes, if you're unlucky enough to get that. It doesn't clog the pores, which is nice when you want to wear it under your makeup. It's also fragrance-free, which means most people can use it. You must shake the bottle well before use, as it comes out very runny if you don't do that. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't feel sticky, and it doesn't leave the skin with a white film like other products often can. Totally okay
I have never tried such a product before, and I was very skeptical about it before I started. It says that this should break down bacteria, reduce redness, breakouts, and inflammation while strengthening the skin's barrier. I have a combination skin type where I often experience breakouts in the T-zone. I would say I don't see any difference in my face after trying this for a few weeks. The product has a mild smell of bleach, if I were to describe the scent as best as possible. I would say that the product is economical in use, and you don't need to apply much before you notice that you have applied it all over your face. It is fragrance-free and alcohol-free, which makes it easier for those who may react to it to use the product. I probably won't use this anymore as I don't often feel the need to add more moisture to my skin throughout the day. Surprised at how good this actually was
I’m used to toners often being very watery and liquid, but this had a completely different consistency. You didn’t need much of the product on a cotton pad before you could apply it all over your face. I really liked the scent, it was a mix of peppermint and something else that smells fresh, if I’m trying to explain the scent.
