Very moisturizing for very dry skin
VICHY Minéral 89 Daily Booster is a product I’m already familiar with, but I haven’t used it in a while - partly due to the price. 🫣 The product promises effective hydration, which my skin really needs, so let’s see if it lives up to its promise 🔎 The serum comes in a luxurious glass bottle, Vichy’s typical design 🩵 I didn’t notice any scent in the product, which is a positive thing for me - although a scent might add to the feeling of luxury 🌟 The instructions say this should be the first step after cleansing, but I always use toner first, and I did so this time as well. The serum has a quite thick consistency, and it took a while to work it into the skin 💧 I think this Minéral 89 Daily Booster is a nice serum, but I have very dry skin, and I don’t think it’s worth the price in terms of moisturizing properties. As someone with dry skin, I'm happy to test products with moisture, and I already had this booster at home! This is a nice bottle with good moisture in it. It's a lightweight gel that's easy and lovely to use! My skin is dry, yes really dry! I've always had a dry skin type, and it's also common in my family with stickiness as the smooth. I've been moisturizing and doing a lot and in layers. This is a booster, which means it's a serum with moisture. I apply a lot with this Between toner and cream💧 It's unfragranced and gentle, and I feel that my skin is doing well with this! I've used it before in summer, spring, and autumn, and it works well for me even now in winter☃️ The bottle is pretty and feels luxurious with heavy glass and a nice toned turquoise-blue color on the glass. The pump is incredibly good, a strong and well-made pump sits on the bottle. Compared to all the other pumps on small bottles I have at home, it's one of the best. Probably also suitable for those with weak fingers. It's a good serum with moisture that I recommend for dry skin, and since it's so light in consistency, it will likely suit other types than my super thirsty skin as well. Amazing for reactive skin
Lovely moisturizing serum. I am a mother of 3 small children and want to keep skincare sensible and effective. I have really sensitive and reactive skin that easily gets red, and this suited my skin really well and did not cause any irritation; on the contrary, it feels soothing. Fragrance-free and overall pleasant to use. Absorbs wonderfully, does not leave any film on the skin's surface that could interfere with makeup application, and it works perfectly under makeup as well. My skin feels and looks hydrated after using the product. The only downside is that I feel it runs out really quickly and is not as economical as one generally expects from a serum. Otherwise, an excellent product for anyone with sensitive skin who needs hydration and soothing. A little about me first; I have dry and sensitive skin. Especially around the eyes. My evening routine is to wash twice, followed by retinol, serum, and a thicker moisturizer. So onto the first impression; The first thing that greets you is a beautifully designed glass bottle with a very good pump. This is easy to fall for and to get the right amount of product every time. It has zero scent at all, a big plus. Because as we with sensitive skin know, fragrance in skincare products is a no-go! I used this daily for a month and tested it with several different other skincare products, time and time again this worked excellently with my other products. 2 pumps are enough for my face, if I use more it doesn’t absorb properly and works poorly with the rest of my skincare products. But 2 gives the desired effect, so I don’t need more, in the month I’ve used this I’ve barely noticed a decrease in the bottle, so this will last a long time. My sensitive eyes had no problem with this! There are few products my eyes don’t react to, so the fact that this causes no stinging or reaction at all is just wonderful! This is actually allergy-friendly! So to conclude; After a month with this I have nothing negative to share. It absorbs quickly into the skin and pairs nicely with the other skincare products I usually use. I’ve used this after applying retinol and before a thicker moisturizer. I was very positively surprised by this serum, as it gave me a lot of moisture and my skin feels soft and good after application. Usually, I don't use serums as I find that my skin often feels sticky after application, but this one surprises! The skin is not too sticky or wet - it absorbs quickly into the skin and you feel fresh. The product is very economical to use and one pump is enough for both face and neck. I have had the honor of testing this serum from #lykoinflutester as #vichy. I haven't tried much from the brand Vichy before, but I have been thinking about buying this serum for a long time, so I was sooooo happy when I got it home to test🥰 I have heard/read many good reviews about this product. My skin is combination, a bit dry but also oily in the T-zone. And I have a few small pimples now and then. Especially now during the winter, I notice that my skin is drier and needs more moisture (I think it's like that for most people). The formula of this serum is a bit thicker and gel-like. Very handy pump bottle (looks nice too!). The product is economical, so one pump goes a long way, which is also good. The product absorbs quickly into the skin, and you avoid stickiness and can quickly move on to the next step in your skincare🫧 No added fragrances, which I also prefer when it comes to skincare. Perfume in skincare is actually mostly unnecessary and can irritate the skin. The skin feels plump, hydrated, and fresh after use, and it looks even, glowing, and fresh✨ I have been able to test the product for about 3 weeks now and will definitely continue to use it. My skin has never felt this good during a winter before. Moisturizing Serum for the Face
I tried this for a few weeks as an addition to my skincare routine and I really liked it! The packaging feels luxurious, and thanks to the pump, dispensing is both easy and hygienic. The glass bottle is beautiful, but I always fear a little with all glass bottles that I will drop and break them. I tested the product after washing my face. I would say that for moisturizing, this product alone is not sufficient, but at least my skin in this winter cold requires a thicker face cream as a companion. However, I believe this has been a good addition, and especially if your skin doesn't require very rich hydration, this might suit you well! I've been testing this serum for a couple of weeks now, and unfortunately, I don't think I can give a particularly positive review. I've used several products with active ingredients in the past few months, and I suspect this serum has contributed to breakouts on my skin. I haven't experienced anything similar with other products I've tried. When I first started using it, my skin was very dry in certain areas of my face, and I hoped this would provide good moisture. Instead, I experienced a stinging sensation upon application, and my skin turned red afterward. I eventually got the dry areas under control with the help of other products, and I have continued to use this serum in the period after💛 Still, I don't feel that my skin is particularly moisturized, and I've gotten several pimples – something I usually don't struggle with. Therefore, I simply think this hasn't been a good match for my skin right now. The Vichy product line/brand evokes trustworthy thoughts in me. But.. again, serums with watery or gel-like consistency give me distrust. I feel that they often haven't been really good moisturizers, so this trial was interesting. At first, I thought, do I just have such dry skin that it disappears into my skin so quickly 😆, but no, it does it even after a few weeks, which is a big plus. 👏 Wonderful that I don't have to spend time in the mornings waiting for it to dry like with many other products. The product is a thin, watery, and fragrance-free. It leaves no film on the skin and really moisturizes effectively despite being so thin. The moisture is the only thing you feel, in a good way. 😃 It contains moisturizing hyaluronic acid, which helps retain and bind moisture to the skin, as well as 89% volcanic Vichy spring water. And to be completely honest, it feels like my skin is in good condition for the first time in winter. Lovely and economical serum
I received this serum at the suggestion of #lykoinflutester and have now tested it for a while. The serum comes in a heavy and luxurious glass bottle. I like it when skincare comes in glass packaging, it feels a bit more solid and exclusive. It is also completely fragrance-free! The serum feels a bit sticky in the hand, but don’t be afraid of the consistency. Once applied to the skin, it absorbs super easily and leaves no sticky feeling afterwards. I find the product very economical, one pump is more than enough for the face and neck. It spreads incredibly smoothly over the face, it almost melts away. I think my skin feels properly hydrated and fresh, and this is a product I would gladly return to. I like that #vichy uses volcanic water in the serum since you should apply hyaluronic acid with plenty of moisture anyway. That way, you get everything in one and don’t have to think about that. Let's start with the most important: pat the product onto your face, don't rub!! There are really big differences in the result😱 I was confused at first when the product didn't feel like it was doing much, but when I changed the application technique, everything changed. My skin felt super hydrated and soft, and this product is perfect as an addition to basically any routine without mixing it in😍 It can be used morning and night and also works under makeup, which is a big plus! The product absorbs quickly and gives an immediately hydrated feeling, which is also visible from the outside! The glass jar looks really luxurious on the shelf, and the pump dispenses good amounts; I used 2 pumps per use. I have been so lucky to receive Vichy's Minéral Daily Booster serum which #LYKOINFLUTESTER 🩵 I am 35 years old, have normal to dry skin, which can be a bit sensitive at times - especially if products contain a lot of fragrance. I have some lines around my eyes, but otherwise nothing noticeable. I was very excited about this serum, as I am completely dependent on a good moisturizing serum year-round. I have only tested the products for a period of 2 weeks, so I can't say anything about noticeable results yet. But I can describe my experience with the product over these 2 weeks. I have used it together with La Roche-Posay's Hyalu B5 Suractivated Cream which I tested in the same period, which is supposed to be a good combo 💦 In the first days of my testing period, I used the serum, along with the cream mentioned above, both morning and night. But I quickly found out that this was way too greasy a combination to use under makeup. The makeup pilled and sat like a layer on top of the skin. I quickly switched to only using it in my evening routine 😅 The bottle is nice and heavy in glass, feels luxurious (but not so travel-friendly). I really like that it has a pump, which makes it very hygienic to apply the serum. The consistency of the serum is like a thin gel, and it doesn't smell like anything special (fragrance-free - very good). I have used 2 pumps each time, which covers both face and neck. It says that the serum should absorb quickly into the skin, which I don't think it did, I feel like it sat like a layer on top of the skin.. Maybe that's why I prefer more fluid serums, because they absorb well into the skin 😇 But have I woken up with plump and hydrated skin these weeks? Oh yes! 💦 I notice that the product still sits on my skin in the morning, so I have to wash my face well so that my makeup doesn't pill. But all in all a very nice moisturizing serum that I will definitely use up.
