Love/hate relationship?
I've been using this sunscreen for a while now and can't quite decide if I love it or hate it. Love: the concept that it's like a thin, runny serum. No white cast. Nice glow. Doesn't pill. Good packaging. BUT I think it's too sticky, it doesn't really absorb into the skin until a couple of hours later, and then you're supposed to reapply. It's obviously hard to avoid stickiness with SPF since sunscreen has to be dissolved in oil. I recommend using this without any skincare underneath, then it feels least sticky and absorbs best. This sunscreen from axis-y works as it should. It can leave a slight white cast when applied, but if you apply a little at a time, you can easily avoid this. I have tested many vitamin C serums and can really recommend L'Oréal's vitamin C serum. The price is super good for what you get🍊12% pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) along with salicylic acid that reduces pore size. It has a nice watery consistency and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky feeling. I also haven't had any issues with it interacting with other products or irritating the skin. Perfect to combine with the sunscreen in the same series (daily UVA fluid). The sunscreen leaves no visible traces and is one of my top chemical sunscreens. Both products smell good and can be used together without any problems. Always SPF when running in the sun!
☀️ I always apply before I run – especially when the sun is shining. When I sweat, I find that my skin becomes extra sensitive to burning, so I apply on all exposed skin and extra carefully on my face, shoulders, and tattoos. 🧴 On my face, I use Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua. It feels like a moisturizing day cream, with high SPF and without niacinamide – perfect for me as I easily get reactions from niacinamide. This is my go-to whether I’m at work, home, in the garden, at the beach, you name it. It gives a nice glow without becoming greasy. 👶 On my body, I use ACO Sun Kids Spray SPF 50. It’s actually for kids – but I love how convenient it is. Spray, done. It’s water-resistant and works just as well on my run as it does at the beach. Yep, I even have this at the beach. Maybe more of a product we share freely in the family. 👀 I previously used Dr. Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun on my face. It gives a more glass skin glow and is suitable for you if you like that – if you can tolerate niacinamide – and aren’t externally dry. My friend, who has drier and perhaps especially externally dry skin, finds it funny that Hysl Reyouth MOIST sun dries her out. I have normal, maybe slightly dry, skin and haven’t experienced that.
