I would say this is perfect for those of us who don’t want to look dry and powdery but still want to get rid of that overly shiny forehead. Bought this when I was going to a festival and wanted a lip product that really lasts!! And I have to say this really lives up to it✨ First of all, it’s super cheap. It’s also perfume-free and cruelty free, which is very important. The only downside I can say is that there aren’t that many shades. I wish there was a really cool light pink tone. I bought the color “03 Make A Mauve” It was very nice and cool but a bit dark for daily use, at least for me who is very pale. Pretty okay
I would say this serum is a bit mediocre. It is definitely good but there’s no wow feeling overall. The product itself is fragrance-free and cruelty free, which I really appreciate✨ But I actually don’t think it makes a big difference. It feels a bit soothing and the skin doesn’t react weirdly to the product. But I also don’t see any major improvements in my skin. Not good for acne
I bought this a long time ago… And as you can see, it’s almost finished BUT… unfortunately, this didn’t work at all for me. I have slightly acne-prone skin, but nothing severe. I read so many positive things about this, especially during winter when the air gets colder and drier. It felt like a thick blanket over my entire face. The next day I woke up with lots of small bumps all over my face. Of course, I thought maybe my skin needed to get used to it, so I waited a few days and tried again. But the exact same thing happened. My skin simply can’t handle this heavy texture. So be careful with this if you also tend to get clogged pores. If you have very dry skin, this will be great. It ended up being a hand cream to use it up. La Roche Posay is not cruelty-free either, which might be good to know. Moral Question
I have always used this mascara, it must be 10 years since I bought it the first time. The formula is super good and it gives both volume and length. BUT… some time ago I decided to only buy cruelty-free products and unfortunately Maybelline is not one of them. Which is a shame considering what a huge makeup company it is. Therefore, I will not buy this anymore, and I think this is a detail many might not know. The negative and thought-provoking: The texture is a matter of taste; it is very viscous and slimy, which means it takes a while to absorb without feeling sticky. Additionally, the ingredient is in an ethical grey area. Although the manufacturers assure that no animal testing is done and that the slime collection is done gently, there are no independent certifications for the snail farms. It is an animal byproduct, which means it is completely off-limits if you are vegan or require full transparency regarding animal welfare. Ordered two of the Nyx Buttermelt Blush in these shades: 01 - My Butta Half: A clear, cool candy pink shade with distinctly cool undertones. 06 - For The Butta: A soft, muted cool old rose/purple tone (cool rose/soft mauve). Very satisfied, but the colors when I want cool tones on blush, I would also say they are very pigmented and apply nicely✨ The finish is lightly dewy without looking sticky. My biggest downside is that it contains perfume, and for me who is sensitive to scents, it becomes a problem. But if you don’t have issues with fragrances, I would recommend this! I think this seems like a good option price-wise✨ But unfortunately, the look of the products doesn't really appeal much.. looks quite cheap. Not all products are full-size and there is no info about the value of the calendar's contents. Which many others here on Lyko do provide. Some products also contain perfume, which lowers the rating for me. At least the products are cruelty free, which is a plus!
