Another disappointment
I continue my testing of sun protection and have now come to Hawaiian Tropic Glowing Protection SPF 50. The product was part of the By Lyko Lovables inspo-kit The beachy kit. Well, this is not a sunscreen I would recommend either. I find that Hawaiian Tropic is involved in several not yet resolved lawsuits. These concern greenwashing – the dispute is about whether the products are really reef friendly (harmful to coral reefs and marine life). And whether the products do not have the stated SPF 50, but frighteningly only factor 20. Looking at the listed ingredients, I find suspected hormone-disrupting chemicals, chemicals that can affect reproductive ability, chemicals commonly referred to as liquid microplastics (!!!), and perfume – which can cause photoallergy (sun rash or other allergic reactions you otherwise wouldn’t have gotten). None of these chemicals are illegal for use in sunscreen. Yet. It’s all starting to get very sad – sunscreen is the most important product for our skin for us northerners. Sunscreen manufacturers should give us what they promise. Anyway. I tested the sunscreen. Once – so those who still choose to use the product know what to expect. The cream has a mild and pleasant scent – it doesn’t smell like typical sunscreen. The cream is also thin and easy to spread. I didn’t notice the skin getting any shimmer – but I have quite pale skin (I have red hair), so it probably takes a bit for it to show. I won’t use this, and you probably shouldn’t either. Usually, I never mention other brands in my reviews, but now I’m making an exception: If you want a good alternative, I recommend #rudolphcare Sun Body Lotion SPF 50 – also sold here at LYKO. This ranked at the very top in the Consumer Council’s sunscreen test in 2025 PS: I am not a professional skincare expert, and you should verify my claims. #solkrem1 product in post Another disappointment6 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. A perfume and wellness product
Rituals Body Lotion Mousse is not a typical body lotion for dry skin. Like all Rituals products, this one is also heavily perfumed. It creates a foam instead of ordinary lotion, and the bottle is quite small. This is a product for home spa use and not an everyday product. It aligns with Rituals' philosophy – to brighten up a perhaps gray and boring everyday life with a feeling of luxury and wellness. It can mainly be used as a perfume. Because it does very little for dry skin. For that, you need to look for other types of products. I think the product is okay, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.1 product in post A perfume and wellness product729 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The post was made 2 daysRating: 2 out of 5
Problematic
I continue to test products from By Lyko Lovables inspo-kit The Beachy kit and have now come to Bondi Sands. Bondi Sands was tested by the British consumer organization Which in 2025, which showed that Bondi Sands sunscreens did not have nearly as high sun protection factor as they claim. This triggered a scandal in Australia, Bondi Sands is an Australian brand, and several products were withdrawn from the market. Bondi Sands denied the claim and referred to their own tests. Because of this, I believe this sunscreen should be avoided at the beach and on days with higher UV index. The sunscreen is reef friendly and does not contain oxybenzone and octinoxate which break down slowly, but it still has chemical filters, so if you want to protect marine life it should be avoided when used in water. It also has chemical filters that may possibly be hormone-disrupting in larger amounts. The more conscious consumer should probably avoid this sunscreen. But since I love to read up on the products I test and write reviews, I have of course tested this one as well. The sunscreen has a mild scent of sunscreen. Just as they should have according to my preferences. It is thin and easy to apply. It absorbs quickly into the skin and is not very sticky. It is fragrance-free and I tolerated it well. I usually get a reaction from most sunscreens, but not this one. My pores also did not get clogged. It is reasonably good to use under makeup. I am a bit divided on how many stars to give it. In a country like Norway, where we have a lot of skin cancer, the stated sun protection factor must correspond to the real factor. That it harms marine life and possibly also the human body is also worrying. But if you choose to use it on land, when the UV index is low, and do not overuse it, it is okay. Some will probably also like it very much. But I think two stars are enough. PS: I am not a professional skincare expert, so my claims should of course be reviewed by each individual. #solkrem1 product in post Problematic55 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 13 hoursYou are awesome. So wonderful that you check up and inform us about things. I love that kind of stuff. I’m one of those who have never ordered from Temu, Shein, or similar. I refuse to shop at, for example, Lager 157, which fires anyone who becomes a union representative and refuses to disclose where they buy their clothes (the worst because then no control can be done ..). I try to make conscious choices but don’t have the energy/time to check everything, so I’ve made a thousand mistakes. But then you just have to try to do better. ❤️1 likes

Fresh, yet masculine
I received this set as a gift when I bought products for my husband. And he really appreciated it. This is something completely different from what he usually buys at the grocery store. More luxurious. Rituals shower foam has a scent that I like better than the typical men's fragrances – it’s fresher. The first thing you notice is a fresh citrus scent – giving you the feeling that you are truly freshly showered. The main scent is cedarwood – a slightly warmer and more pleasant scent. Some spice notes, like cardamom, are also added. So this is a fresh, yet masculine scent. The spray deodorant opens with a fresh scent of mint and citrus – then white musk. The scent that lasts throughout the day is cedarwood and amber. The scent is not exactly the same as in the shower foam, but equally fresh and masculine. The scent of Rituals shower foam lingers on the skin and smells good almost until the next day. Rituals deodorant also held up well on a mountain trip in over twenty-five degrees Celsius. Personally, I’m not a big fan of spray products – I’m skeptical about what you might inhale. So if you have asthma or similar issues, you might want to be a bit careful. This is a nice gift for a teenager or young adult. I think it might be too fresh for older adults. But that’s a matter of taste.1 product in post Fresh, yet masculine1628 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 2 daysWhat a great review! I think this smells so good 😍1 likes

Stay away!
This is not a sunscreen I want to use. The Consumer Council tested Rituals sunscreen SPF 50+ in 2025 and it performed poorly. They found deviations in UVA and UVB protection. That means the strength is lower than SPF 50. The Consumer Council also found suspected hormone-disrupting, environmentally problematic, and allergenic substances, as well as perfume. But if you still want to use it, I’ll say some positive words – because I tested it once (because I like to write reviews). The sunscreen surprisingly has little scent for being Rituals. The scent was mild and nice, and I liked it. The cream isn’t as thick as sunscreens usually are and it’s easy to spread. And incredibly, I didn’t react to it – even though I used a generous amount. Usually, I react to both sunscreen in general and perfumed products especially. But it clogged my pores and I got painful bumps on my skin the next day. The cream runs less into the eyes compared to other sunscreens. The sunscreen is beautifully presented in a box and the same goes for the tube – with the same beautiful colors. The tube has a cap that seems sturdy and I like that the tip is quite small – so it doesn’t get too messy. If you absolutely want to use this, I’d mainly stick to using it in the evening when the sun isn’t so strong. But I can’t recommend this sunscreen. To anyone. I'm testing serum from Purito
I have received some Korean skincare products both with By Lyko Lovables and as a Lyko influencer tester, and I have been impressed. Now I have chosen two products from Purito that I want to test. Retinol eventually turned out to be too strong for my mature skin, and I now want to test the milder variant Bakuchiol. I have sensitive skin and I also want to test a product with ceramides and peptides. I will come back with a review after the summer. My skincare routine has otherwise become quite simple. I use Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and Embryolisse Sensitiv morning and evening. I also use SPF 50 – various brands. Various because I have not yet found a favorite.4 products in post I'm testing serum from Purito62 views- The comment was made 1 dayYes, do it, I am so curious about what you have to write 💖💞2 likes

My husband's absolute favorite
A simple and straightforward face cream that smells wonderfully fresh and like the forest. My husband has problem-free and robust skin and so far has not needed any other skincare than cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. He has been using Bulldog's products for years. The tube has a neutral design and a flip cap that lasts until the tube is empty. The price is very reasonable. Bulldog Skincare is a British company, established in 2005. The bulldog was chosen to reflect the vision – it is loyal. It is strong. Uncomplicated. And kind. I agree.1 product in post My husband's absolute favorite301 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Oh! What a fantastic product!
I'll say it right away - if it weren't for the price, I would give it five stars. The product was part of the By Lyko Lovables inspo-kit - and I will therefore never be able to afford to buy it myself. I am 49 years old and have mature and sensitive skin. A couple of years ago, I stopped using creams and serums containing niacinamide - because I reacted to them. But not this one. The serum feels incredibly nice on - almost cooling. It soothes the skin. It makes it smooth and hydrated. And it smells heavenly! The design is beautiful. At the same time, it is a Scandinavian product. Developed by two Norwegian doctors and produced in Denmark. The company uses their customers - ordinary people - in advertisements for the product. Not professional models. I have tested several products from Dr. Ankerstjerne and all are fascinatingly good. There is nothing to dislike here, but everything to like. If you can afford it, invest in a full skincare routine from Dr. Ankerstjerne. Because these are products that actually make a visible difference.1 product in post Oh! No purpose for me
I have never used eye cream. It's a combination of the fact that I probably don't need it – I have no issues around the eye area. No dry skin, no puffiness, and the wrinkles are okay. And I have the idea that face cream should work for the eye area too? I could be wrong. Maybe I'll see the benefit later in life. So it's a bit wrong of me to give a review of a product I don't see a use for. But read others' experiences where they have seen good effects. I think the design is a bit boring, and the price very high. But still, if you need your own eye cream, it's not a bad idea to buy it from a Swedish company with products developed by skincare professionals. #lykoinflutester #coolderma1 product in post No purpose for me74 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Not suitable for mature skin
I am 49 years old – so mature skin. This mask did nothing for me. But if I give 3 stars, it can still be 5 stars for you. Because it’s not a bad brand. Cool Derma is a Swedish brand, produced in Sweden, for many different skin types. From eczema to menopausal skin. For me, it was too runny, especially as a night mask. At my age, I need a THICK cream and a THICK night mask. That’s the only way I get my skin plumped enough to minimize wrinkles and for the skin to feel good. I think the design is boring, but many prefer a more neutral expression. The products are sold at pharmacies in Sweden and the idea behind it is probably to appear serious, and that this is skincare developed by skincare professionals. Because that’s Cool Derma. The scent is discreet and smells good. I think the mask is overpriced, but since this is not a big international brand, the price probably can’t be pushed down much. Cool Derma’s mask probably suits younger people who don’t have very dry skin much better. This is a safe purchase. It just doesn’t suit me. I tested the mask together with the Gel Cleanser and eye cream from the same brand. #lykoinflutester #coolderma1 product in post Not suitable for mature skin25 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 2 weeksHi Wibeke! 👋 Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and nuanced review of the Cool Derma Arctic Berry Hydro-Recovery Nourishing Face Mask 💛 It’s a shame to hear that it didn’t provide the fullness and nourishment your skin needs, especially as a night mask for mature and drier skin. Skin needs can vary greatly, and we understand that a richer and more enveloping texture might be better for drier skin. At the same time, we really appreciate you highlighting both the thought behind the brand, the mild scent, the texture, and that the product might suit other skin types better 💫 If you want tips on products that suit mature and drier skin better, you’re very welcome to contact us at hudterapeuten@lyko.com – we’re happy to help you find products 💌 All the best!1 likes
