Many favorites have run out. The best of them all, I think, is dr ceuracle essence. It’s absolutely fantastic and feels very calming, soothing, and nice on the skin. It’s one of those products you don’t wait to buy a new one until the old one is finished, but you buy one well in advance. Can’t be without it. Dermalogica is a classic good cleanser that really cleans. Works in the summer but is a bit too harsh on my facial skin otherwise, as I get dry and tight afterward. With good products afterward, it can still work, but you have to be quick to add moisture. Actually not a product I would buy again but might probably use if I got it with something else. It’s said that it can also be used to cleanse the body, but I think it’s too expensive for that. So the price makes me say no to active purchases. Waterclouds, the other one that runs out quickly. Has been part of #lovables. Does its job but is not the best. Looking at the scale, I would use it but not buy it myself unless there’s a really good discount. Hickap classic and good setting spray. However, I bought Lumene instead now since there was a good discount on them and I don’t think the difference in what you get is that big. In the end, this spray couldn’t spray as finely as I want. Which is a slight minus. These spot patches are cheap and cover but don’t heal. So if you want something cheap to put over so you don’t touch it, this is an okay discreet choice. Good under mineral foundation💕
A good primer that I especially appreciate because it works well both with mineral foundation and liquid CC cream. It is a bit sticky on the skin and doesn’t fully absorb, but despite that, I think the makeup sits well on top and the result looks nice. Hickap The Wonder Base Stick – 2C Champagne ✨ I really had high expectations for this, especially since I love many of Hickap’s other products ❣️ The stick has a super creamy and soft texture and is very easy to apply. However, I unfortunately found it surprisingly difficult to blend out and the base settled incredibly cakey on the skin. I have combination, acne-prone skin with a slightly oilier T-zone and unevenness from acne scars, but even with primer, powder, and setting spray I couldn’t get an even result… It also settled easily into lines and highlighted unevenness rather than smoothing the skin 💔 It feels extra disappointing because I was really looking forward to it and like Hickap’s other products so much. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to my expectations at all based on the description. I am impressed with this setting spray! It gives a nice matte finish without the skin feeling dry or tight. In the last photos, you can see how it looks after drying a bit more (4 hours later) I used some warmer bronze shades on my eyes today. These are from Caia, and I used all the shimmer shadows on the top row of the palette, with the lightest in the inner corner and the other two after that with the darkest on the outer edge. In the last photos (which are later), I added a bit of the shimmering brown shadow in the crease to add some more depth. Friday, so we're going for a slightly more festive look with eye makeup! 🪩 I only used Morphe's palette and started with 'Taupe Tier' to mark and define the outer edge of the eyelid. Then I applied 'Hush Money' from the inner corner of the eye out to about halfway across the eyelid to brighten the look since I have hooded eyes. Finally, I used 'Highbrown' to create a sharp and defined eyeliner. All with Hickaps' 'Classic eye set' brushes. They make it so easy to get an eye makeup look because they are so perfectly cut!
