Lumene Nordic-C Glow Refresh Hydrating Mist is a moisturizing facial mist with, among other things, vitamin C, cloudberry, and hyaluronic acid. It can be used both as an extra hydration step under your moisturizer and over makeup when your skin needs a little refreshment during the day. This is one of those little bottles I keep finding myself reaching for 😍 The mist is light and fresh, and I especially like the lovely, fruity scent – it almost feels like giving your face a little orange shower 🍊😂 I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, so I’m a bit cautious with products that promise a lot of “glow.” I want a glow – but not to look like I’ve been running after the bus 😉 This works well when I use it in moderation. A couple of sprays give the skin a fresher and more lively expression without the rest of the face feeling heavy. I like it best as a little refreshment when the skin looks a bit tired or needs extra moisture. The 50 ml bottle is also just the right size to toss in your bag. Wine red, green, brown, gold, gray, matte and shimmer 🤗🥰 As usual, I primed with Urban Decay Primer Potion Eden I used the light shadow in the inner corner of the eye, the matte wine red as a base on the rest of the lid and blended outward, upward. Then the shimmering wine red over the middle of the eyelid and the darkest one is used as eyeliner with a flat brush 💁🏼♀️ Linking the other products too ✨ For the hair, I just twisted it back in sections and secured with bobby pins in a cross. Cheap and so good😍
For years, I have only used Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation because I needed a lot of coverage for pimples and blemishes😅 Lately, my skin has been clearer, and I decided to try a lighter foundation with less coverage. It was Lumene’s CC cream in the shade 0.5😍I liked this sooo much. I now use it for my everyday makeup because it’s so light in texture, easy to blend, and has medium coverage. It almost feels like a moisturizer when I apply it. The nozzle clogs
The packaging is so nice with the pink and shimmering color. The first time I used it, I thought it was good. It applied nicely on the skin and the makeup held well throughout the day. But after that, it’s been chaos! The nozzle clogged and the spray either comes out as a hard stream or large foam clumps. My makeup gets completely ruined and blotchy. I have tried cleaning the nozzle but it only helps for one spray. This shouldn’t happen after one use. I’ve tried to wait for some, but now I couldn’t anymore. I have several packages that will soon be empty. So I’ll probably have to update again in about a week or so... these products are all okay or better, no real low points this time. So the bottom three would probably be Origins, Waterclouds, and Starskin eye patches, but that one is tricky. The aloe vera is the one that has lasted the longest. I accidentally dropped the Lumene powder, and when it breaks, the contents disappear rapidly, it’s like the sand in an hourglass, I think most of it has unfortunately spilled out. Not the product’s fault, but you know my repurchase still fell on the foundation version, which I consider slightly better. The last picture is of the products I would rank highest among these. One of them is no longer sold at Lyko, but I have bought both this one and the unopened one I still have at home from here because I appreciated it. I really like Smuuti, light and nice feeling. Unfortunately, I tend to like it so much that it looks more like I just got out of the bath when I use it because I use generous amounts, and then it also runs out quickly. Haruharu has also been a very good SPF for the face that works well under makeup and doesn’t irritate the skin in any way. The one I started with after this hasn’t come close to the same level. I think Lumene's advent calendar looks really good this year, with a nice mix of both skincare (14 products) and makeup (10 products). And a whole 12 full-size products!!! I like that. I usually buy advent calendars in this category - beauty and wellness - open them up, and give 2-3 small gifts in addition to the "main" Christmas gift. But maybe I'll buy this calendar for myself? I also think the box looks beautiful. The whole calendar is a great gift. I really like Lumene as a brand and have tested several of their products. Bought myself, or sent for testing as #lykoinflutester. Both skincare and makeup products. I perceive Lumene's products as mild and nice products that also suit those with sensitive skin. "Everyone" can tolerate Lumene. And the products smell so good, yet discreet. To be completely honest, I didn’t choose this toner for any specific "super ingredient." I was rather looking for a toner that could provide additional moisture without adding yet another heavy active step to the routine and that was also affordable. Lumene simply became my middle layer between the light Anua and my richer Beauty of Joseon. Glycerin and Sodium PCA help to bind moisture in the skin. Cloudberry extract is one of Lumene’s signature ingredients and contributes antioxidants. Allantoin has soothing and skin-caring properties. And the product is developed with a focus on radiance and glow. That makes it fit quite well exactly where I use it, a layer that builds on the hydration from Anua and at the same time gives a little extra glow. Something I find interesting about layering is that when you use several products one after another, not every layer needs to be full of active ingredients; on the contrary, sometimes it can be quite nice to let some steps have a simpler job: to add and bind moisture without overloading the skin. That’s kind of how I see Lumene in my routine. My reflection I like the feeling it gives and think it fits well as a middle layer in my skin flooding routine. One small downside for me is the scent, though. I’m not particularly fond of it, but it doesn’t bother me enough for me to stop using the product. And maybe that’s exactly what I like about this type of skincare, that not all products need to be favorites to have a function in the routine. The scent is very fresh. The consistency is thick, almost feels like the majority is some kind of thickening agent. Which it also is as the second ingredient after water. It’s pleasant to use and makes hair easier to detangle after washing but I would definitely spend a little more for something better and more moisturizing. After a couple of washes with the treatment included each time, I recently tried using it as a leave-in as well and noticed the best effect there. Not heavy or greasy at all. After washing, the hair feels airy and light, even though I used the whole series (shampoo, treatment, and conditioner – also tried using the treatment as a leave-in and I can recommend that), the hair doesn’t feel weighed down at all which I find very positive – especially since my scalp tends to get oily quite quickly. I often have problems with my scalp and can easily get flakes and sometimes even sores. Trying new products like these can be difficult but the product felt mild and pleasant, I don’t feel my problems got 'worse' from trying it but neither did they get better. My hair type is thin strands, quite thin hair, bleached and therefore dry ends but prone to oily roots.
