Instead of toning at the hairdresser!
It has now been 6 weeks since I put a bottle of Portobello 7.0 in my hair, and in the video you can see before and after as well as how it has gradually washed out. NOTE! Please read the entire review as I also did a color bomb beforehand to achieve this result! I got the tip from someone in the Lyko store to put in a warm color bomb beforehand, to avoid the risk of the hair turning green. Said and done, I had an orange color bomb that I washed out and then a bottle of Portobello in damp hair. I bought two packs, but managed to get by with just one, so it felt unnecessary to open the other. I wanted to tone my hair to make the regrowth blend in better, as I want to get a bit closer to my natural hair. The result turned out a bit warmer than I had thought, probably because my color bomb gave quite a bit of warm pigments! So I have actually used silver shampoo on 3 occasions to get back some cooler tones. 👍 • I think it’s very easy to apply! • Doesn’t smell strong at all. • Makes the hair both softer and shinier! • Intense color at first, but it continues to look nice as it gradually washes out with each wash. 👎 • I wash my hair every other to every third day, and I wish the color lasted longer. But I have used both a bit of silver shampoo and deep cleansing shampoo sometimes, so that has probably affected it. I like these toners. They last longer than a color bomb. Especially great days with dry shampoo
When I saw that #waterclouds released a hair oil in spray form, I got really excited to try it as #lykoinflutester. Just hair oils can easily make my hair very heavy, even though I try to be sparing with the product. So an ultra-light hair oil sounds almost too good to be true. But actually, it REALLY is lightweight! As a final step in hair styling, I really think it works well, but also on the days when I DON'T style and tend to have more frizzy hair. I especially like to combine this in the lengths with their Instant Dry Spray at the roots. Then the hair feels like freshly washed again. Soft and smells good. It was hard to take before and after pictures, as a still image doesn't really give a fair representation of the shine and softness that the product provides. 👍 - Even though the scent is strong, it smells really good! - It makes the hair softer and a bit shinier, and hopefully the same moisture as if I had applied pure argan oil in the lengths. 👎 - It has a pretty strong spray, and it creates a little cloud of strong scent first. I can't help but hold my breath as I don't want to inhale the product, which makes application a bit tricky sometimes. - It may make the hair shiny and softer, but it doesn't perform miracles. 👉 The spray is a bit aggressive, but the product itself makes the hair softer, shinier, and leaves a lovely scent in the hair afterwards. Over expectation!
I have had the pleasure of testing some products from #kiehls like #lykotestpilot for a few weeks! I haven't tried anything from Khiels before, but I have good associations with them as a brand. You can tell they have many years of experience in advanced skincare. And the fact that they were the first in the USA to list the ingredients on their packaging before the law even required it speaks volumes about them as a company. Here comes my honest #lykoreview 🫧 This eye cream has been highly praised, so it was fun to "put it to test"! 👍 It is very economical, a little goes a long way! Incredibly nice color & consistency. I get excited just by opening the jar! I really think the skin under my eyes looks brighter when I’ve used it. It’s a real moisture bomb! 👎 - I noticed that it became difficult to apply if I didn’t let my serum sink in a bit first. - The packaging. It’s been a while since I bought a product in jar form, and as a mom of small children, I don’t have the time/energy to deal with a spatula, so it was unusual to stick my fingers in to take the product. - Does it do anything in the long run? Hard to say. But considering the price, one can hope for that. 👉 Summary: I can absolutely see myself buying this, but I really wish it came in a more hygienic pump bottle! Moisturizing glow, with a high price tag
I have had the pleasure of testing some products from #kiehls like #lykotestpilot over the past few weeks! I haven't tried anything from Khiels before, but I have good associations with them as a brand. You can tell they have many years of experience in advanced skincare. And the fact that they were the first in the USA to list the ingredients on their packaging before the law even required it speaks volumes about them as a company. Here comes my honest #lykoreview 🫧 👍 + I have quite sensitive, rosacea-prone skin and have not reacted at all to this! + The consistency is just how I wish, almost a bit gel-like, which glides easily on the skin. Reminds me of Clinique's 48h cream. + It keeps my skin moisturized all day and looks nice under makeup. + It gives a super nice glow! 👎 - The packaging. It has been a long time since I bought a product in jar form, and as a mom of small children, I don't have the time to mess around with a spatula, so it felt strange to stick my fingers in to get the product. Felt wrong. - I have used the small packaging of 28ml, but if you want this in full size, you have to shell out quite a bit of money in my opinion. There are definitely cheaper equivalent alternatives out there. 👉 Summary: Do I love the product? Yes. Do I love the packaging? No. Can I afford to buy a new jar every time it runs out? No, not with life as it is right now. Will our paths cross again someday? Absolutely possible! Here comes my honest #lykoreview 🫧 👍 It really feels as gentle as it promises to be. No unnecessary perfumes or lather. Even though you should avoid the eye area, I have out of habit removed mascara with this as well, and have almost gotten everything off, without any irritation. Doesn't feel tight afterwards! This indicates that it contains good ingredients. The size of 75ml is super convenient to take with you in your bag, for example to the swimming pool. 👎 - I found it a bit stubborn to remove. It took a little time. It has some sort of shine to it, not sure if that's because of it? The shine feels more cosmetic than functional and kind of glides around for a while before you get everything off. But the fact that it doesn't make your skin feel tight and dry afterwards still balances it out. - It would have gotten a full score if it also removed mascara completely. But since it’s not actually intended for that purpose, it might be more about my own preferences. 👉 Summary: I think it cleans well, and absolutely does what it promises. 😍 I was so happy to get this product release sent home to see what it can do! Waterclouds is nothing new to me. I use their shampoo & conditioner and hair serum among other things. So the expectations were high from the start! 🏆 I have gone through many different dry shampoos over the years, and my absolute favorite is Maria Nila's Cleansing Powder. It is economical and doesn't make the hair feel dusty and rough, but just freshens it up. BUT! It is not easy to apply. 💦 Waterclouds Instant Dry Shampoo, on the other hand, is very easy to apply, as it comes in a spray bottle with perfect spray! It is vegan and contains a mildly exfoliating and moisturizing AHA acid! So it really feels gentle on the scalp. Spray a few spritzes, wait 5 minutes, and brush through the hair. 🤩 I am honestly very impressed with this dry shampoo, and I will definitely continue to use it! It is especially good after a workout when you want to shower your body but want to spare your hair from another wash. I saw that some commented on the scent, but I think the bottle delivers what it promises - it neutralizes odors and makes the hair feel and smell fresh. A favorite that can never run out! 💕
Since I tried #wonderskin Lip Stain for the first time almost a year ago, it has become an essential part of my routine. It immediately got a natural spot in my bathroom cabinet, and now I'm on my third shade! 👄 Xoxo – Very nice, but for me, it leans a bit too much towards the pink side. Lovely – Probably best suited for a slightly darker skin tone, as it leans more towards brown. If I really want to enhance my lips, I usually outline with this shade like a lip liner. Adore – Perfect shade for me! A subtle coral tone that enhances the lips without being too much. My favorite so far! Before, I used to rely heavily on lip liners and colored lip glosses, but I found it annoying to have to reapply throughout the day. That's why I'm so incredibly happy about how practical this is, as it doesn't require any reapplication at all. In the picture, I haven't let it sit for particularly long; for a more intense result, it can be left on longer! For best results, I recommend scrubbing the lips the night before and then following up with a really moisturizing cream. I like to use #laroche-posay Cicaplast Baume B5 or Cicaplast Lips. In the morning, I apply the product right after cleansing, then I put on my usual skincare and Cicaplast Lips. I've also tried Wonderskins Lip Activator. At first, I thought it was mainly for making it easier to remove the product, and I thought a wet wipe or damp cotton pad would do the same job. Crazy beautiful color! 🌟
MY SKIN: I am 32, have mild rosacea, and a somewhat dry skin type. RATING: It feels like I have an easier time getting to know a product with my hands, and I find that creamy products are easier to work in with dabbing fingers. #nars also encourages working it in with fingers for it to melt nicely into the skin, and I agree! I have tested this both as a highlighter and more as blush as well as an eyeshadow and am really impressed! But as an eyeshadow, it easily leaves a crease if you have too much product on! It is such a crazy beautiful color, and when I combine it with Nars Reflecting Luminizer, it creates such a heavenly glow! In the video, I also have the combo #smashbox under eye brightening corrector, nars softe matte concealer, and #lykos on the glow setting spray, tips tips! The price is, however, hard to justify.
