Unfortunately not so good…
I thought it was really fun to try Cool Derma. I had seen the brand but never tried anything at all. But unfortunately, the face mask was not good. I have normal to dry skin. I am 47 years old and have quite a few signs of aging. But that’s not the focus in this case. But wrinkles do become more prominent if the skin is dry. Cool Derma promises "quite a lot" as properties in their face mask. But the result is missing. The packaging is handy though! Tube with flip-top lid is always easy to handle. I usually apply face masks with a spatula. But the formula/consistency of the face mask is so very loose that it doesn’t work. It slips off the spatula and ends up in the sink instead. The mask contains oats as described. And that’s also what it smells like. It doesn’t bother me much that it doesn’t smell like perfume or flowers or anything. The oat scent makes it feel a bit healthy/organic. But it actually doesn’t do anything for my skin. Not at all. And for nearly 500 SEK, you’d think it should deliver. So unfortunately, Cool Derma’s face mask was not a "perfect match" for my skin. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #COOLDERMA1 product in post Unfortunately not so good…42 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Nice, but a bit basic.
Eye cream is sometimes debated. Is it necessary or not? Some claim that you can just as well use your regular face cream. However, I always use eye cream. I’m one of those who firmly believe that eye cream was invented for a reason. 😅 So how does Cool Derma’s eye cream compare to other eye creams I’ve had? Appearance-wise, I really have nothing to say about it. It’s a bit unremarkable. I have normal to dry skin. I find that I need to use a bit more of Cool Derma’s eye cream than I do with other eye creams. But Cool Derma’s eye cream comes in a generous amount. A whole 30 ml! Which is twice as much as is often found in other brands’ eye creams. I experience no irritation on the skin. So the eye cream feels mild and gentle on the skin. The eye cream softens and moisturizes the skin, according to my needs. But as the title says, it’s quite basic. The eye cream is good and pleasant, but doesn’t really offer anything impressive. It also doesn’t come with any "unpleasant surprises." A bit pricey for not being more wow than it is. But as I said: generous amount in the tube. It lands on a rating of three stars. #lykoinflutester #coolderma1 product in post Nice, but a bit basic.77 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 1 weekGood review as usual Lina! Good, but with some less good qualities.
This time I got products from Cool Derma to test. A bit "extra fun" since I hadn't tried anything from Cool Derma before. If I understand correctly, it's a fairly new brand. ☺️ So how does this cleanser compare to other cleansers I've used? Well, Cool Derma's cleansing gel is effective. It removes all makeup. I usually don't wear a lot of makeup, just: primer, foundation, setting powder, blush, eyebrow pencil, and mascara. So there's nothing the cleansing gel doesn't dissolve. So far, so good... I don't have sensitive or problematic skin. I have normal to dry skin. And the cleanser is supposed to be adapted for normal to dry skin. And I also feel it worked well! I don't feel tight or dry afterward. But even though I don't have sensitive skin, I find the cleanser feels a bit strong on the skin. I experience a slight stinging sensation. The cleanser definitely dissolves and removes mascara. But even there (around the eyes) I experience some irritation/stinging. The packaging is handy in a tube with a flip cap and easy to dose. The packaging's look reminds me a bit of products often sold at pharmacies. The cleansing gel has a lovely scent! I find it a bit floral. ☺️🌸 When it comes to the pricing of this, I think the price is quite high. Almost 400 SEK. I have a favorite from another brand that costs 120 SEK less. It's really no problem to pay "a higher price" for a beauty product?! But then it has to justify it. Which unfortunately Cool Derma's cleansing gel does not. So all in all: good! But definitely not the best. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #COOLDERMA1 product in post Good, but with some less good qualities.75 views- The comment was made 1 weekLina🩵 Really nice and detailed review!🖤 Have a lovely evening, dear 🖤2 likes

No, no... Not good. 🙈
The third and final product to review from the Kevin Murphy products is the shampoo. ☺️ About my hair: Thick (many hair strands), curly, a tendency to be dry, and many years ago, also colored. I usually occasionally use color-preserving shampoos. But mostly shampoos that fall under the categories of “moisture” and “hydrate.” And I actually can’t see any difference in the results on my colored hair when I use color-preserving or hydrate shampoo. And the same goes for this. I don’t see that it would give a more color-preserving result on my hair than when I use other shampoos. Now I color my roots as often as every three weeks. So maybe that’s why it doesn’t show any greater results from being color-preserving when I’m adding new color at such close intervals? 🤷🏻♀️ And then to this with my hair having a tendency to be dry (which curly hair often is)... Now this shampoo isn’t specifically tailored for dry hair, nor does it promise to be hydrating in any way. But that it makes the hair drier??!! Yes, that was exactly what my hair experienced. The hair becomes tangled, dry, and it was not good at all for my hair type. 😩 And then we come to this with the scent. 😬 The conditioner I tested in the same series had a scent that wasn’t so good. The shampoo smelled stronger. And not good at all. Like an incredibly strong men’s perfume. And unfortunately, the scent lingers in the hair for several days. So now I can be sure that color-preserving shampoos do not suit my hair, even though my hair is colored. But that my hair exclusively needs hydrating shampoos. So for me and my hair, this was in no way a hit. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post No, no... Not good. 🙈651 views- The comment was made 3 monthsI will keep this in mind to not have it on my shopping list. ☀️ I need to have good shampoo, the air here is dry. However, I only use Korean brands. Good, but way too strong scent!
About my hair: Basically, I have medium brown/dark brown hair. So when I started getting “gray hair” about 15 years ago, they are quite visible compared to my dark hair. And of course, there are more and more of these gray hairs. 😩😂 So the solution to make these not visible was to dye my hair. Besides dyed hair, my hair is dry and curly. I had previously hardly any experience with Kevin Murphy's hair products, other than having tried maxi wash in mini format. I thought that the special appearance and how the bottles were designed could be a problem. But not! Even though the cap is at the bottom, it doesn't spill out uncontrollably, which I had an idea it might do. 😂 So absolutely, good and handy bottle. The conditioner has a thick and good consistency for hair like mine, which is dry & treated. However, I need to use a lot of product for it to be sufficient. But that is standard for my hair. So nothing that makes me need to use more of Kevin Murphy than other products. Unfortunately, the conditioner has no good scent. It smells way too strong. But I have also partially damaged my sense of smell due to covid-19, which makes some ingredients in products smell very chemical. So how I perceive the scent of the product does not mean that everyone else experiences the scent “equally badly”. The main property of the conditioner should be color preserving. So, I can't see that this conditioner is more color preserving than others I use. I usually use hair products that work with “hydrate”, as I have dry hair. Sometimes I buy for colored hair. So no, I see no difference. But then I dye the roots every three weeks. So the color probably never gets a chance to be “really washed out”? I usually wash my hair about 3 times/week. So, in summary: good product for my dry hair, even though the main “goal” of the conditioner is to be color preserving, and not hydrate. Unfortunately too strong scent, which makes me not see the conditioner as my first choice when I buy conditioner again. I hesitated between giving it three and four stars. But it lands on four stars. But a so-called “weak four”. 😅 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post Good, but way too strong scent!803 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Full house! 🥳
With hair that has gone from being straight and smooth, to hair that is curly and dry, the "right kind" of products are needed. And for about 15 years now, I have also been dyeing my hair, about every three weeks. I only dye the roots though. As my hair has become curlier and curlier, and drier and drier, I have tried many different hair masks. Hair masks that are supposed to be tailored for dry or curly hair. Some have been good, and some have been really bad. Hydrate me is not just good, it is freaking good! 🥳 The hair mask has a thick and rich consistency that moisturizes and makes my dry, frizzy hair soft and manageable. And my hair is easier to brush through and detangle when I have used the hair mask than it was with the previous hair mask I had. I do have to use quite a bit of product though. But I always have to do that, considering my hair type. And in comparison to the previous hair mask I had, I still need to use less product. If that makes sense? 😅 Incredibly practical packaging with a pump! Despite the mask's thick consistency, it doesn't "clog" in the pump. The mask has a perfumed scent. I find it quite hard to describe scents, but it smells perfumed anyway. 😅 I wouldn't say that the strength of the scent is strong. Simply just the right strength. The only thing I can think of that would be "less good" is that the hair mask is a bit pricey. But overall, it is a complete hit for my hair. 🥳🥳 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post Full house! 🥳1120 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 1 weekNice review! A love-hate relationship…
The hardest thing to write reviews about, in my opinion, is perfumes. It's so different how one perceives scents, and what one likes and feels comfortable with. But i will do my best… And it has been a long time since I was chosen as a test pilot, so I was very happy about this! ☺️🥰 Gucci is a brand that is often associated with luxury. And this fine Gucci perfume radiates that. 🤩 It is classic, stylish, and feminine! And the appearance reflects identically in the scent. Classic, stylish, and feminine! It is described as dark notes of coffee and amaretto, which brings thoughts of a rich coffee drink. Whether I recognize those scents is hard to say. But the scent is absolutely rich. Tonka bean and floral notes of wisteria. Hmmm, that is possible. The scent is definitely rich. It is floral, but not only floral. It has a sweetness that actually gives the scent a perfect mix and character. As I wrote in the title, I have a love-hate relationship with this. When I first apply it, it is heavy. But also fantastically lovely and feminine. I don't usually like heavy scents, but there is something about this that I like. And I like it a lot! On one hand, I don't think the scent is among the heaviest of heavy scents. On the other hand, it is unfortunately too heavy for me, as I almost only like light, fresh floral scents. Yes, very difficult. But if you like slightly heavier scents, I think this is a real banger. The longevity of the scent on the skin is very long. If I apply it around lunchtime, the scent stays on the body for more than 12 hours. And I have only taken two sprays. The price can be considered high. But considering the long longevity on the skin, and that you don't need to reapply for many hours, it doesn't really become an expensive perfume. Unfortunately, I experience the scent as stuffy in the morning, when I can smell yesterday's application. But as I said, it is not really my first choice with heavier perfumes like this. If I had preferred heavier perfumes, I would have loved this completely! But I will use it on special occasions, as I feel it fits. It is what you would call “a typical evening scent.” And it has found its place in my “perfume wardrobe.” ☺️ #LYKOTESTPILOT #GUCCI1 product in post A love-hate relationship…1031 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Nja…
Mascara is the product I have used the most since I started using makeup. So I have had time to test "a few pieces" over the years. It has been a long time since I had one from Max Factor, so it was fun to try it again. ☺️ I was told by a friend that this one is supposed to be really good. However, the test period was a bit short. About 8 days. And I often find that it takes a while to get used to a new mascara. But I have used it daily for the past week, a little over. The brush is easy to handle. And I, who usually don’t like rubber bristle brushes, actually like this one. The application is easy and smooth. But unfortunately… That is so far the only positive. The formula/consistency of the mascara is "incredibly" watery. It hardly feels like it adheres any mascara/product to the lashes. I also find it difficult to build up any noticeably visible result after several layers. So for me, it does not deliver what it promises in results. And I can’t say that the mascara "slides off" when you try to wash it off. 🤔 So I don’t know… Probably, as I mentioned earlier, it is a bit too short of a test period. But as it feels now, I wouldn’t choose this again when it’s time to buy a new mascara. It was a bit tricky to give a fair review, so it will be three stars. #lykoinflutester #maxfactor1 product in post Nja…910 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Better than good. 😅
Last to review this time is Beauty of Joseon’s eye serum. And I really like this one too. ☺️ I have now used the eye serum for three weeks, and a bit more. I actually felt right from the first use: “I like this”! I, the reviewer, am 47 years old (since Friday/3 days ago 🤪). And have therefore gotten quite a few signs of aging due to age (of course). And certainly many years as a smoker are a contributing factor. 🙈 So skincare products that contain retinol/vitamin A are welcome to care for my skin. It was surprising to see that this contains a full 30 ml, as almost all eye creams/serums contain 15 ml. It is therefore a very affordable eye serum. Lots of product, and not a high price (especially now with 50% off). The serum comes in a tube with a pump, which is easy to handle and dose. One pump is enough for application on both eyes. I have normal to dry skin. I find that quite a bit of product comes out with one pump. But that is just right for me (with slightly drier skin). The serum absorbs easily into the skin and leaves no sticky surface. And it is supposed to be very mild according to the description. And I also get the impression that it is. But I also don’t have sensitive skin, so I usually don’t react too much when it comes to skincare. It is often recommended to acclimate the skin a few times a week to retinol. I haven’t done that. As I said, I have quite tolerant skin, and have just gone for it. From day 1. And no reactions at all. It’s possible that it’s such a low concentration that you usually don’t react to it? But results then? Yes, I think I might see a little result when it comes to the effect of retinol. A little tighter in the skin. However, it might be a bit short time to see a lot of results? I will continue with this until it runs out. And possibly it will be a purchase of this in the future. Anyway, I think it’s a really nice and affordable eye cream/serum that I can warmly recommend. Good product. Good price. There’s probably no reason not to try this. ☺️ #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon1 product in post Better than good. 😅4004 views
