No, no... Not good. š
The third and final product to review from the Kevin Murphy products is the shampoo. āŗļø About my hair: Thick (many hair strands), curly, a tendency to be dry, and many years ago, also colored. I usually occasionally use color-preserving shampoos. But mostly shampoos that fall under the categories of āmoistureā and āhydrate.ā And I actually canāt see any difference in the results on my colored hair when I use color-preserving or hydrate shampoo. And the same goes for this. I donāt see that it would give a more color-preserving result on my hair than when I use other shampoos. Now I color my roots as often as every three weeks. So maybe thatās why it doesnāt show any greater results from being color-preserving when Iām adding new color at such close intervals? š¤·š»āāļø And then to this with my hair having a tendency to be dry (which curly hair often is)... Now this shampoo isnāt specifically tailored for dry hair, nor does it promise to be hydrating in any way. But that it makes the hair drier??!! Yes, that was exactly what my hair experienced. The hair becomes tangled, dry, and it was not good at all for my hair type. š© And then we come to this with the scent. š¬ The conditioner I tested in the same series had a scent that wasnāt so good. The shampoo smelled stronger. And not good at all. Like an incredibly strong menās perfume. And unfortunately, the scent lingers in the hair for several days. So now I can be sure that color-preserving shampoos do not suit my hair, even though my hair is colored. But that my hair exclusively needs hydrating shampoos. So for me and my hair, this was in no way a hit. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post No, no... Good, but way too strong scent!
About my hair: Basically, I have medium brown/dark brown hair. So when I started getting āgray hairā about 15 years ago, they are quite visible compared to my dark hair. And of course, there are more and more of these gray hairs. š©š So the solution to make these not visible was to dye my hair. Besides dyed hair, my hair is dry and curly. I had previously hardly any experience with Kevin Murphy's hair products, other than having tried maxi wash in mini format. I thought that the special appearance and how the bottles were designed could be a problem. But not! Even though the cap is at the bottom, it doesn't spill out uncontrollably, which I had an idea it might do. š So absolutely, good and handy bottle. The conditioner has a thick and good consistency for hair like mine, which is dry & treated. However, I need to use a lot of product for it to be sufficient. But that is standard for my hair. So nothing that makes me need to use more of Kevin Murphy than other products. Unfortunately, the conditioner has no good scent. It smells way too strong. But I have also partially damaged my sense of smell due to covid-19, which makes some ingredients in products smell very chemical. So how I perceive the scent of the product does not mean that everyone else experiences the scent āequally badlyā. The main property of the conditioner should be color preserving. So, I can't see that this conditioner is more color preserving than others I use. I usually use hair products that work with āhydrateā, as I have dry hair. Sometimes I buy for colored hair. So no, I see no difference. But then I dye the roots every three weeks. So the color probably never gets a chance to be āreally washed outā? I usually wash my hair about 3 times/week. So, in summary: good product for my dry hair, even though the main āgoalā of the conditioner is to be color preserving, and not hydrate. Unfortunately too strong scent, which makes me not see the conditioner as my first choice when I buy conditioner again. I hesitated between giving it three and four stars. But it lands on four stars. But a so-called āweak fourā. š #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post Good, but way too strong scent!748 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Full house! š„³
With hair that has gone from being straight and smooth, to hair that is curly and dry, the "right kind" of products are needed. And for about 15 years now, I have also been dyeing my hair, about every three weeks. I only dye the roots though. As my hair has become curlier and curlier, and drier and drier, I have tried many different hair masks. Hair masks that are supposed to be tailored for dry or curly hair. Some have been good, and some have been really bad. Hydrate me is not just good, it is freaking good! š„³ The hair mask has a thick and rich consistency that moisturizes and makes my dry, frizzy hair soft and manageable. And my hair is easier to brush through and detangle when I have used the hair mask than it was with the previous hair mask I had. I do have to use quite a bit of product though. But I always have to do that, considering my hair type. And in comparison to the previous hair mask I had, I still need to use less product. If that makes sense? š Incredibly practical packaging with a pump! Despite the mask's thick consistency, it doesn't "clog" in the pump. The mask has a perfumed scent. I find it quite hard to describe scents, but it smells perfumed anyway. š I wouldn't say that the strength of the scent is strong. Simply just the right strength. The only thing I can think of that would be "less good" is that the hair mask is a bit pricey. But overall, it is a complete hit for my hair. š„³š„³ #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY1 product in post Full house! š„³719 views- The comment was made 3 weeksLovely Lina, that sounds amazing! š1 likes

A love-hate relationshipā¦
The hardest thing to write reviews about, in my opinion, is perfumes. It's so different how one perceives scents, and what one likes and feels comfortable with. But i will do my best⦠And it has been a long time since I was chosen as a test pilot, so I was very happy about this! āŗļøš„° Gucci is a brand that is often associated with luxury. And this fine Gucci perfume radiates that. 𤩠It is classic, stylish, and feminine! And the appearance reflects identically in the scent. Classic, stylish, and feminine! It is described as dark notes of coffee and amaretto, which brings thoughts of a rich coffee drink. Whether I recognize those scents is hard to say. But the scent is absolutely rich. Tonka bean and floral notes of wisteria. Hmmm, that is possible. The scent is definitely rich. It is floral, but not only floral. It has a sweetness that actually gives the scent a perfect mix and character. As I wrote in the title, I have a love-hate relationship with this. When I first apply it, it is heavy. But also fantastically lovely and feminine. I don't usually like heavy scents, but there is something about this that I like. And I like it a lot! On one hand, I don't think the scent is among the heaviest of heavy scents. On the other hand, it is unfortunately too heavy for me, as I almost only like light, fresh floral scents. Yes, very difficult. But if you like slightly heavier scents, I think this is a real banger. The longevity of the scent on the skin is very long. If I apply it around lunchtime, the scent stays on the body for more than 12 hours. And I have only taken two sprays. The price can be considered high. But considering the long longevity on the skin, and that you don't need to reapply for many hours, it doesn't really become an expensive perfume. Unfortunately, I experience the scent as stuffy in the morning, when I can smell yesterday's application. But as I said, it is not really my first choice with heavier perfumes like this. If I had preferred heavier perfumes, I would have loved this completely! But I will use it on special occasions, as I feel it fits. It is what you would call āa typical evening scent.ā And it has found its place in my āperfume wardrobe.ā āŗļø #LYKOTESTPILOT #GUCCI1 product in post A love-hate relationshipā¦1008 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Mascara is the product I have used the most since I started using makeup. So I have had time to test "a few pieces" over the years. It has been a long time since I had one from Max Factor, so it was fun to try it again. āŗļø I was told by a friend that this one is supposed to be really good. However, the test period was a bit short. About 8 days. And I often find that it takes a while to get used to a new mascara. But I have used it daily for the past week, a little over. The brush is easy to handle. And I, who usually donāt like rubber bristle brushes, actually like this one. The application is easy and smooth. But unfortunately⦠That is so far the only positive. The formula/consistency of the mascara is "incredibly" watery. It hardly feels like it adheres any mascara/product to the lashes. I also find it difficult to build up any noticeably visible result after several layers. So for me, it does not deliver what it promises in results. And I canāt say that the mascara "slides off" when you try to wash it off. š¤ So I donāt know⦠Probably, as I mentioned earlier, it is a bit too short of a test period. But as it feels now, I wouldnāt choose this again when itās time to buy a new mascara. It was a bit tricky to give a fair review, so it will be three stars. #lykoinflutester #maxfactor1 product in post Njaā¦853 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Better than good. š
Last to review this time is Beauty of Joseonās eye serum. And I really like this one too. āŗļø I have now used the eye serum for three weeks, and a bit more. I actually felt right from the first use: āI like thisā! I, the reviewer, am 47 years old (since Friday/3 days ago š¤Ŗ). And have therefore gotten quite a few signs of aging due to age (of course). And certainly many years as a smoker are a contributing factor. š So skincare products that contain retinol/vitamin A are welcome to care for my skin. It was surprising to see that this contains a full 30 ml, as almost all eye creams/serums contain 15 ml. It is therefore a very affordable eye serum. Lots of product, and not a high price (especially now with 50% off). The serum comes in a tube with a pump, which is easy to handle and dose. One pump is enough for application on both eyes. I have normal to dry skin. I find that quite a bit of product comes out with one pump. But that is just right for me (with slightly drier skin). The serum absorbs easily into the skin and leaves no sticky surface. And it is supposed to be very mild according to the description. And I also get the impression that it is. But I also donāt have sensitive skin, so I usually donāt react too much when it comes to skincare. It is often recommended to acclimate the skin a few times a week to retinol. I havenāt done that. As I said, I have quite tolerant skin, and have just gone for it. From day 1. And no reactions at all. Itās possible that itās such a low concentration that you usually donāt react to it? But results then? Yes, I think I might see a little result when it comes to the effect of retinol. A little tighter in the skin. However, it might be a bit short time to see a lot of results? I will continue with this until it runs out. And possibly it will be a purchase of this in the future. Anyway, I think itās a really nice and affordable eye cream/serum that I can warmly recommend. Good product. Good price. Thereās probably no reason not to try this. āŗļø #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon1 product in post Better than good. š2785 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. LOVE!!!
Yes, the headline speaks for itself, but of course there will be an explanation for it. āŗļø Beauty of joseonās spf became incredibly popular, praised, and viral two years ago (if I remember correctly). I didnāt jump on the bandwagon back then, and didnāt buy or test it. But now I am! And I understand now why āDallaā loved/loves it. Iāve heard before that you donāt need to use regular day cream if youāre using spf/sunscreen. Iāve tested both with day cream underneath, and without. It has worked well without day cream underneath. But since I tend to have dry skin, Iāve mostly used day cream underneath. So, I donāt think it can be said too much! But this one is really faaaaantastic!!! The cream is very light in consistency. But despite that, I havenāt felt dry on my skin, the times I havenāt had day cream underneath. It feels like it softens/moisturizes effectively, while the cream doesnāt leave any greasy or sticky surface on the skin. It works absolutely fantastic under makeup. I usually use clarins skin illusion (foundation). It doesnāt stick or roll in any way. š When it comes to scent, the cream is almost scent-free. I canāt smell much anyway. Maybe a slight delicate scent that reminds me of soap? The tube is easy to apply from, as it is made of soft plastic. If thereās anything that could be better, itās that I find it desirable that all tubes should have snap caps (even this one). And not screw caps. And that the cream has āfullā spf 50 is super-duper-great! š Now itās recommended that you should use spf every day. All year round. But I would have liked to properly test this as spf. E.g. on a sunny vacation. Now itās not really the right season for that, as one (I) is hardly exposed to the sun at all. So therefore, I only give it four stars. Because I canāt actually assess how it is as sun protection when the skin is properly exposed to the sun. But I still want to give it the words: crazy good!! #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon1 product in post LOVE!!!6708 views- The comment was made 3 monthsGreat review and fun that you like this, because I do too!! š haha! Luxurious, but not for me.
So, if I got happy & excited when I received YSLās Libre as an influencer assignment?! At the same time, I suspected that this might not really be my scent. Since Nina and I talked about this, as she has had it as a favorite, but described it as a scent that is not āfor meā. And yes, my suspicions were confirmed. Reviewing scents is what I find the hardest. But I will do my best. YSLās Libre is described as a scent for the strong and brave woman. And I think thatās a perfect description for who the scent suits. Libre is a super-feminine scent. It is luxurious & sophisticated. The bottle feels luxurious, and YSL is probably associated with luxury by most. According to the description, the first scent notes should be lavender and orange blossom. Then it describes, among others, mandarin oil, Arabian jasmine, vanilla extract, and musk. My own experience of Libre is that I only smell orange blossom. š¤ And unfortunately⦠Libre is way too heavy for me. And no, itās not super heavy. There are many heavier scents. But I felt already at the first use that it was too heavy for me. Itās of course a matter of taste what one likes and feels comfortable in. But if you like, like me, light floral scents, and occasionally a bit sweet scents (like Dolce & Gabbanaās devotion), then Libre is not the right scent. However, I have to give Libre that it has a really good longevity on the skin. An EDP lasts longer than an EDT. But Libre has extra long (good?) longevity, I think. If you like super-feminine, luxurious, slightly heavier scents, then this is the scent for you! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #YSL1 product in post Luxurious, but not for me.2753 views- The comment was made 3 monthsGreat review Lina ā¤ļøš how sad that it didn't turn out to be a banger for you š„¹1 likes
