Good, but way too strong scent!

About my hair: Basically, I have medium brown/dark brown hair. So when I started getting “gray hair” about 15 years ago, they are quite visible compared to my dark hair. And of course, there are more and more of these gray hairs. 😩😂 So the solution to make these not visible was to dye my hair. Besides dyed hair, my hair is dry and curly. I had previously hardly any experience with Kevin Murphy's hair products, other than having tried maxi wash in mini format. I thought that the special appearance and how the bottles were designed could be a problem. But not! Even though the cap is at the bottom, it doesn't spill out uncontrollably, which I had an idea it might do. 😂 So absolutely, good and handy bottle. The conditioner has a thick and good consistency for hair like mine, which is dry & treated. However, I need to use a lot of product for it to be sufficient. But that is standard for my hair. So nothing that makes me need to use more of Kevin Murphy than other products. Unfortunately, the conditioner has no good scent. It smells way too strong. But I have also partially damaged my sense of smell due to covid-19, which makes some ingredients in products smell very chemical. So how I perceive the scent of the product does not mean that everyone else experiences the scent “equally badly”. The main property of the conditioner should be color preserving. So, I can't see that this conditioner is more color preserving than others I use. I usually use hair products that work with “hydrate”, as I have dry hair. Sometimes I buy for colored hair. So no, I see no difference. But then I dye the roots every three weeks. So the color probably never gets a chance to be “really washed out”? I usually wash my hair about 3 times/week. So, in summary: good product for my dry hair, even though the main “goal” of the conditioner is to be color preserving, and not hydrate. Unfortunately too strong scent, which makes me not see the conditioner as my first choice when I buy conditioner again. I hesitated between giving it three and four stars. But it lands on four stars. But a so-called “weak four”. 😅 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY

    Full house! 🥳

With hair that has gone from being straight and smooth, to hair that is curly and dry, the "right kind" of products are needed. And for about 15 years now, I have also been dyeing my hair, about every three weeks. I only dye the roots though. As my hair has become curlier and curlier, and drier and drier, I have tried many different hair masks. Hair masks that are supposed to be tailored for dry or curly hair. Some have been good, and some have been really bad. Hydrate me is not just good, it is freaking good! 🥳 The hair mask has a thick and rich consistency that moisturizes and makes my dry, frizzy hair soft and manageable. And my hair is easier to brush through and detangle when I have used the hair mask than it was with the previous hair mask I had. I do have to use quite a bit of product though. But I always have to do that, considering my hair type. And in comparison to the previous hair mask I had, I still need to use less product. If that makes sense? 😅 Incredibly practical packaging with a pump! Despite the mask's thick consistency, it doesn't "clog" in the pump. The mask has a perfumed scent. I find it quite hard to describe scents, but it smells perfumed anyway. 😅 I wouldn't say that the strength of the scent is strong. Simply just the right strength. The only thing I can think of that would be "less good" is that the hair mask is a bit pricey. But overall, it is a complete hit for my hair. 🥳🥳 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KEVINMURPHY

    A love-hate relationship…

The hardest thing to write reviews about, in my opinion, is perfumes. It's so different how one perceives scents, and what one likes and feels comfortable with. But i will do my best… And it has been a long time since I was chosen as a test pilot, so I was very happy about this! ☺️🥰 Gucci is a brand that is often associated with luxury. And this fine Gucci perfume radiates that. 🤩 It is classic, stylish, and feminine! And the appearance reflects identically in the scent. Classic, stylish, and feminine! It is described as dark notes of coffee and amaretto, which brings thoughts of a rich coffee drink. Whether I recognize those scents is hard to say. But the scent is absolutely rich. Tonka bean and floral notes of wisteria. Hmmm, that is possible. The scent is definitely rich. It is floral, but not only floral. It has a sweetness that actually gives the scent a perfect mix and character. As I wrote in the title, I have a love-hate relationship with this. When I first apply it, it is heavy. But also fantastically lovely and feminine. I don't usually like heavy scents, but there is something about this that I like. And I like it a lot! On one hand, I don't think the scent is among the heaviest of heavy scents. On the other hand, it is unfortunately too heavy for me, as I almost only like light, fresh floral scents. Yes, very difficult. But if you like slightly heavier scents, I think this is a real banger. The longevity of the scent on the skin is very long. If I apply it around lunchtime, the scent stays on the body for more than 12 hours. And I have only taken two sprays. The price can be considered high. But considering the long longevity on the skin, and that you don't need to reapply for many hours, it doesn't really become an expensive perfume. Unfortunately, I experience the scent as stuffy in the morning, when I can smell yesterday's application. But as I said, it is not really my first choice with heavier perfumes like this. If I had preferred heavier perfumes, I would have loved this completely! But I will use it on special occasions, as I feel it fits. It is what you would call “a typical evening scent.” And it has found its place in my “perfume wardrobe.” ☺️ #LYKOTESTPILOT #GUCCI

    Nja…

Mascara is the product I have used the most since I started using makeup. So I have had time to test "a few pieces" over the years. It has been a long time since I had one from Max Factor, so it was fun to try it again. ☺️ I was told by a friend that this one is supposed to be really good. However, the test period was a bit short. About 8 days. And I often find that it takes a while to get used to a new mascara. But I have used it daily for the past week, a little over. The brush is easy to handle. And I, who usually don’t like rubber bristle brushes, actually like this one. The application is easy and smooth. But unfortunately… That is so far the only positive. The formula/consistency of the mascara is "incredibly" watery. It hardly feels like it adheres any mascara/product to the lashes. I also find it difficult to build up any noticeably visible result after several layers. So for me, it does not deliver what it promises in results. And I can’t say that the mascara "slides off" when you try to wash it off. 🤔 So I don’t know… Probably, as I mentioned earlier, it is a bit too short of a test period. But as it feels now, I wouldn’t choose this again when it’s time to buy a new mascara. It was a bit tricky to give a fair review, so it will be three stars. #lykoinflutester #maxfactor

    Better than good. 😅

Last to review this time is Beauty of Joseon’s eye serum. And I really like this one too. ☺️ I have now used the eye serum for three weeks, and a bit more. I actually felt right from the first use: “I like this”! I, the reviewer, am 47 years old (since Friday/3 days ago 🤪). And have therefore gotten quite a few signs of aging due to age (of course). And certainly many years as a smoker are a contributing factor. 🙈 So skincare products that contain retinol/vitamin A are welcome to care for my skin. It was surprising to see that this contains a full 30 ml, as almost all eye creams/serums contain 15 ml. It is therefore a very affordable eye serum. Lots of product, and not a high price (especially now with 50% off). The serum comes in a tube with a pump, which is easy to handle and dose. One pump is enough for application on both eyes. I have normal to dry skin. I find that quite a bit of product comes out with one pump. But that is just right for me (with slightly drier skin). The serum absorbs easily into the skin and leaves no sticky surface. And it is supposed to be very mild according to the description. And I also get the impression that it is. But I also don’t have sensitive skin, so I usually don’t react too much when it comes to skincare. It is often recommended to acclimate the skin a few times a week to retinol. I haven’t done that. As I said, I have quite tolerant skin, and have just gone for it. From day 1. And no reactions at all. It’s possible that it’s such a low concentration that you usually don’t react to it? But results then? Yes, I think I might see a little result when it comes to the effect of retinol. A little tighter in the skin. However, it might be a bit short time to see a lot of results? I will continue with this until it runs out. And possibly it will be a purchase of this in the future. Anyway, I think it’s a really nice and affordable eye cream/serum that I can warmly recommend. Good product. Good price. There’s probably no reason not to try this. ☺️ #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon

    LOVE!!!

Yes, the headline speaks for itself, but of course there will be an explanation for it. ☺️ Beauty of joseon’s spf became incredibly popular, praised, and viral two years ago (if I remember correctly). I didn’t jump on the bandwagon back then, and didn’t buy or test it. But now I am! And I understand now why ”Dalla” loved/loves it. I’ve heard before that you don’t need to use regular day cream if you’re using spf/sunscreen. I’ve tested both with day cream underneath, and without. It has worked well without day cream underneath. But since I tend to have dry skin, I’ve mostly used day cream underneath. So, I don’t think it can be said too much! But this one is really faaaaantastic!!! The cream is very light in consistency. But despite that, I haven’t felt dry on my skin, the times I haven’t had day cream underneath. It feels like it softens/moisturizes effectively, while the cream doesn’t leave any greasy or sticky surface on the skin. It works absolutely fantastic under makeup. I usually use clarins skin illusion (foundation). It doesn’t stick or roll in any way. 🙌 When it comes to scent, the cream is almost scent-free. I can’t smell much anyway. Maybe a slight delicate scent that reminds me of soap? The tube is easy to apply from, as it is made of soft plastic. If there’s anything that could be better, it’s that I find it desirable that all tubes should have snap caps (even this one). And not screw caps. And that the cream has ”full” spf 50 is super-duper-great! 😅 Now it’s recommended that you should use spf every day. All year round. But I would have liked to properly test this as spf. E.g. on a sunny vacation. Now it’s not really the right season for that, as one (I) is hardly exposed to the sun at all. So therefore, I only give it four stars. Because I can’t actually assess how it is as sun protection when the skin is properly exposed to the sun. But I still want to give it the words: crazy good!! #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon

Great review and fun that you like this, because I do too!! 😁 haha! I prefer Dr Ceuracles over this, but I have combination skin that doesn't get dry except in certain areas. So fun that you liked this, and I’m looking forward to your next sun vacation 😉

    Luxurious, but not for me.

So, if I got happy & excited when I received YSL’s Libre as an influencer assignment?! At the same time, I suspected that this might not really be my scent. Since Nina and I talked about this, as she has had it as a favorite, but described it as a scent that is not “for me”. And yes, my suspicions were confirmed. Reviewing scents is what I find the hardest. But I will do my best. YSL’s Libre is described as a scent for the strong and brave woman. And I think that’s a perfect description for who the scent suits. Libre is a super-feminine scent. It is luxurious & sophisticated. The bottle feels luxurious, and YSL is probably associated with luxury by most. According to the description, the first scent notes should be lavender and orange blossom. Then it describes, among others, mandarin oil, Arabian jasmine, vanilla extract, and musk. My own experience of Libre is that I only smell orange blossom. 🤔 And unfortunately… Libre is way too heavy for me. And no, it’s not super heavy. There are many heavier scents. But I felt already at the first use that it was too heavy for me. It’s of course a matter of taste what one likes and feels comfortable in. But if you like, like me, light floral scents, and occasionally a bit sweet scents (like Dolce & Gabbana’s devotion), then Libre is not the right scent. However, I have to give Libre that it has a really good longevity on the skin. An EDP lasts longer than an EDT. But Libre has extra long (good?) longevity, I think. If you like super-feminine, luxurious, slightly heavier scents, then this is the scent for you! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #YSL

    Best before date

Hi! I bought this three years ago. And it doesn't look like the other products in the same series from waterclouds are available anymore. Just the packaging. Is this from the same batch that is still available? And is there any best before date on the packaging?

    Female, but a bit heavy.

When it comes to writing product reviews, I think the hardest part is writing about perfumes. With other beauty products, you can describe consistency, results, etc. But with perfumes, just the scent. So I have to do my best. ☺️ I got to test this when people were asked who wanted to try it. So "huge thanks" to Sara for letting me test it. 🩷 I got a pretty immediate impression of what I felt about this. But I tested it for about two weeks to really be sure. For me, this is a bit too heavy of a scent. Does it smell floral? Rose? Yes, as I said, I find it really hard to describe perfume. But it is definitely a very feminine scent. A scent that I associate with older ladies. 🙈 Upon application, it smells very strong, but it doesn't have a long-lasting effect. So after about 30 minutes, you can't smell it anymore. So unfortunately, this wasn't right for me, or a scent that I would enjoy. But what one likes is completely individual. And if you like heavier feminine scents. Yes, then this could be a bullseye. #ferragamo
