Hairspray for the face
This is simply a hairspray for the face. I actually bought it to spray on clothes and not on the face – so that makeup doesn’t settle on white shirt collars, etc. I think it’s 5/5 for this purpose and recommend it; the makeup easily beads off the collar after use if you’re unlucky enough for it to transfer at all. As a setting spray for the face, however, I would give it a lower rating, simply because it contains a lot of alcohol that dries out the skin and makes it stiff and maybe even a bit sticky. Tested the French new Lumi Bronze for about a week in my makeup routine, with and without setting spray. COLOR: “Toasted Sunlight” looks warm and bronzy on my light neutral skin. Not orange, but leaning golden. “Sunset Doré” seems to be more neutral, and I probably would have preferred that one 🤎 USAGE: Well pigmented, but easy to blend out. I prefer to apply on the back of my hand and pick up a bit with a makeup brush for liquid products. 🌞 The texture is soft, thin, and glides easily – not thick/heavy/sticky at all like some waxy makeup sticks can feel. Dries to a slightly powdery finish with subtle glow when light hits the skin (not glittery). ✨ SCENT: Reminds me of bubblegum and is, in my opinion, totally fine – a bit sweet rather than sharp or pungent. 🍬 Stayed well all day, no need to reapply. Minus for containing paraffin, which I personally want to avoid for environmental reasons. LOOK: The packaging gets 10/10, feels exclusive! The color “Brun Leather” is unique and surprising. Not only is it a nice chocolate brown, it also has small shimmer particles of reddish brown/copper that show a bit when the light hits the lashes 👁️🍫✨ I have somewhat shorter and straight lashes without a lash curler. Therefore, I have used a lash curler. USAGE: The brush is medium-sized and flexible. The bristles are quite close together. The formula is creamy thick, but absolutely not dry (tested daily for about 1 week). I get more volume and fullness to the lashes than length. Separates okay when zigzagging. I don’t experience clumps, but it’s a bit harder to get the right amount on the very smallest lashes. DURABILITY: Very good durability, lasts all day! Zero flakes. I get oily around the eyes easily, but experience very little smudging with this. Also washes off easily with warm water 🚿 A very good mascara that I will probably buy! Magic in a tube? Unfortunately not for me 💯. I love this type of tube with a narrow tip – easy and nice to apply. What stands out about the product for me is the green color, which melts on the skin and is supposed to transform into "your own skin tone" 🧟♀️🪄. However, I was disappointed by this step! I am very pale and neutral – no matter how much I work the product in, the shade still ends up a bit too dark/orange and not quite my own skin tone. 😩 If you are as pale as I am, my tip is to test it in-store before buying! But if you have a bit of color in your skin tone, it probably suits you better 💛 SCENT: Sharp and somewhat generic perfume scent (would have preferred unscented). The texture is thin and smooth, easy to work with and not greasy. Dries quickly to a powdery soft-focus finish. Redness is toned down, but it doesn’t cover my purple/brown acne scars as well. Since the shade is too dark/orange for me, I need my usual CC Cream on top – making this an unnecessary step. A little about me: very pale skin because I am a vampire🦇 I like makeup sticks because I feel comfortable with them. A nice bronzer stick that is convenient to carry on the go. Also works on cheeks and the sides of the eyes for a monochrome look. Smells nice, a bit like a perfume. However, it gives very little pigment, mostly a golden shimmer. Would not recommend using it for light contouring but more as a highlighter or for a little golden glow in summer. A bit about me: long, dark, thin, and stubborn lashes. I love colorful and neutral mascaras – especially waterproof ones, for the lift. Nice brown mascara – perfect if you want an everyday, clean girl, or natural makeup look! However, it doesn’t give much lift since it’s not waterproof. I like the silicone brush; it has several levels and makes it easy to apply the product with high precision. (Reminds me of the brush from my favorite Urban Decay mascara!) However, it’s easier to build volume with a traditional brush. Not cruelty free🐇💔 There are better products out there for cheaper! A little about me: dry skin with oily T-zone, easily gets red around the nose. This CC cream is very light and absorbs quickly into the skin, instead of the pigments sitting on top (which is often the case with CC creams). It has a green tone but becomes transparent upon application. Very light CC cream, more like a moisturizer than a foundation. Smells nice, like a neutral and fresh day cream! However, I didn’t notice much difference, neither in skin tone nor hydration. Cognac 🤗
It was time to add some color to the roots. You can definitely see from the regrowth that my natural hair color is BLONDE and nothing else😅 I didn’t want to go darker now, so I tried shade 834 and it turned out nice, a light cognac reddish brown. I applied it with a brush to the roots for 15 minutes and then the rest of the hair for another 5 minutes. I used two packages. You have to keep in mind that I almost had the same color in the lengths before. You can see that the roots have absorbed the toner (there is a little lightening in this so it can take), but in some reviews it looks like the shade doesn’t always come out that strong, so if you have light blonde hair, you might not get the same depth of color right away. L’Oréal tinted balm - HYPE!?
This one is starting to show up in feeds, and I think it’s going to be a real hype! It’s a bit of a unique formula – foundation serum!? 👀 When I’ve seen videos of people trying it, it looked incredible! But maybe it doesn’t work as well on textured/dry skin like mine? I’m a bit divided on what I think about it. And ignore the shade match that went wrong! 😅 I took it in the color Neutral Light 2.5. But I should have taken the lightest one! They generally seem to be quite dark in tone. But maybe it will be the perfect summer shade for me? ☀️ But it’s growing on me a bit over time... I think this requires some technique and conscious use. I’d love to try a lighter shade (Lyko, want to send me one? I bought the wrong color 😭😂) and want to experiment a bit with this. It definitely feels wet on the skin but not necessarily heavy. Special formula, as I said. With the right shade match, it feels like this could be quite nice when you want to do a proper makeup for prom or wedding, event, etc. Because it doesn’t look directly dry on the skin, right? There are two different feelings I have when I do my makeup – light and elegant, with a lighter foundation where it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing makeup. Or that lovely feeling of “Now I’ve really gone all out and done a proper makeup.” And this falls into that category. Brand new hairstyle
Took the chance to shed some weight before the trip home. Or well, I actually gave up right away, because I wasn’t going to skip diving just to keep the hair color😅 As expected, the hair color washed out during my 9-day vacation and actually faster than expected! Luckily, I brought my own hair turban to dry my hair, otherwise the hotel’s white towels would have turned pink during the first three to four days😂 Basically, I had a freshly done Loreal Casting tint (shade amber) and a color pack with a mix of different shades. It ended up as a very faded version of the tint. I’ll see what I come up with now. Hair oil for thin/fine hair?!?
So I absolutely love this hair oil from L'Oréal Paris! I've had such a hard time finding oils that are good for thin/fine hair. Actually, oil is generally heavy for my hair type, but I recently found an oil that feels so light, smells good, and gives such a nice result. Love it so much. I'm currently studying to be an MUA and I have a number of products from cera and I really love their products so far. I also bought a hair dryer brush that works so well! It makes NO NOISE, it's infrared heat so it's gentler. I've never felt so healthy as now! LOVE IT! New evening new look
Today I let the eyeshadow from artdeco serve as a base and enhanced it with a few more colors from the hickap palette. On the lips, I chose hickaps blush & lip and clarins on top today. I just refreshed the mascara. It is truly waterproof. Swam in the pool, worked out at a gym where the AC wasn’t working – it was absurdly hot and I sweated a lot.
