Maybelline BODY Waterproof Mascara x Smartson
First of all, how stylish the design is 🤩🩶 A solid tube that fits the name 💪✨. I have somewhat shorter and straight lashes without an eyelash curler. Therefore, I have used an eyelash curler. USAGE: The brush is large and flexible. The bristles are spaced a bit apart. Easy to apply color and build up. Separates well. But a bit too much. My lashes look fewer but thicker. Easy to build volume, lift, and length. But after a few layers, it clumps at the tips of the lashes. DURABILITY: I find that the lashes stay put during the day, maybe lose a bit of shape. Hardly any smudging. However, I do need powder around the eyes for best durability – with more dewy oil-based makeup or makeup-free days, it can smudge a bit. WATERPROOF? 🤔 The mascara behaves a bit like a 38°C-degree/tubing mascara: I can actually remove it with warm water on a pad and dab a few times, it then comes off in small crumbs. Easily removes waterproof eye makeup
I think this product from LYKO removes waterproof mascara well. I always shake it first and put quite a bit on a cotton pad. Then I let it sit on the eye for a while. After that, I kind of “pull” the mascara off. 🩷 It also removes eyebrow products and lip products. This mascara from Benefit gives me mixed feelings: + keeps the lashes curled + gives an intense effect - tends to smudge just under the eyebrows (could it be related to the base)? Found this mascara randomly over 10 years ago and it’s the one I go back to every time. Sure, other brands have come along, but none beat this one. Do you have super straight lashes that don’t hold a curl? No problem with this. Curl your lashes, apply one coat of mascara and let it dry, apply more as you prefer and voilà! Curled lashes all day. It’s really that simple. The result is long, curled lashes that last all day. However, it doesn’t give much volume. Not only that, the mascara sticks like cement and can basically only be removed with an oil-based cleanser, sometimes not even that. Background information about my lashes: I've never had any direct problems with mascara before, like it flaking or not holding all day. I have fairly long lashes & somewhat curled. So what do I think of this mascara? 🧐 I like it, it's a good mascara & even though the price is very cheap, that's not the main reason I like it, although it's definitely a plus that something is this good for a low price😇 I like the brush, it's the right size & you can get in well. All my other mascaras that I like have very narrow brushes, so that's something I really like & prefer. It's easy to apply, to build up & I like the length I get. I can get volume with other mascaras, so it's not something I need from one & the same mascara. It doesn't flake either & holds all day for me. I will definitely buy it again in the future, but it's also fun to try new mascaras.
