    Empties April-May

I've dragged out a bit of time for my latest empties, but here it comes! Dr Ceuracle Essence - A bit pricey but OH so concentrated! Lasted about 7 months with use 2 times/day. Will absolutely buy again! Shampoo and conditioner from Kolai - Hahah this was a bit funny because I got this set as a gift from my sister-in-law just before Christmas. Due to influencer assignments and other products I had going, it had to wait a bit, so I've used this first in the spring. I've really liked them, especially because of the scent - absolutely amazing! It lasts a long time too. When I looked them up for possible repurchase, I saw that I had reviewed these a few years ago, and I don't remember at all testing them before! I also rated them quite well, but funny that I've changed my mind! 🙈🤪😂 Spray conditioner from Kolai - recurring in my bathroom cabinet. Same wonderful scent as the shampoo and conditioner, and a good complement to tame frizzy hair, something I unfortunately suffer from most of the year. Deodorant from LdB - also a recurring product, buy over and over again. Incredibly good price, and often the only thing that works against sweat. I generally sweat very little, but when it does happen, it is very reliable. Essence mascara - the mascara that is tied for first place and I don't know how many I've bought over the years?! Cheap = best in this case! 😎 Dry shampoo from Proffs - really does the job. Smells nothing special, but works great on my colored dark hair. Price range cheap! (Do I need to mention that I love cheap? 🤑) Conditioner from HairProud - bought here at Lyko but they have unfortunately stopped selling it, along with the skincare called SkinProud. Almost impossible to get in Sweden now. I sincerely hope that Lyko brings in SkinProud again, totally amazing skincare at a good price! 🙏🏻 Bobby's heat protection - smells incredibly fresh and salon-like. So nice to be able to use in dry hair. Dispenses like a fine spray, and lays a protective layer on the hair strands. Lovely feeling! Will definitely repurchase in the future! Lip balm from Crazy Rumors - both are already repurchased. Cloudberry smells (and tastes 😋) sweet, and Gemini I use at night. Smells light and pleasant of, among other things, lavender. There were a few other things that ran out too, but my partner managed to sort them before I could take photos 😅

Tips for a flat iron that can also curl 🙏🏻

Hey friends! I need to get a new flat iron, but I would need tips from all you pros out there! The only requirements I have are that it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg, like GHD/Dyson, but it doesn't have to be budget-budget either, and it should also be able to curl the hair. Hit me with your best tips! 🤩

GHD is really worth its price and lasts a long time 👌🏻 I'm using Platinum+ now and love it, but I've had older versions before that were also really good. So keep an eye out for sales/promotions, and you can probably snag a deal 😍💖

Pretty color, but I chickened out 🙈

I am a total rookie when it comes to self-tanner, and by that, I mean I’ve never tried it (as far as I can remember), in any form. And here came 3 variants in the same batch 😅 Of the products I’ve gotten to test, these drops are the ones I’ve been most worried about 🙈😂 I’m so pale right now that I’m afraid it will turn out uneven and show too much, plus I didn’t think there was really time to evaluate both the mist and drops on my face and then assess which product did what. So I did my own project where I mixed moisturizer with X number of drops to see the result, and that’s what I’m showing in the picture. The numbers in the picture stand for the number of drops mixed in my moisturizer. (In the picture with all three products, it’s just drops without moisturizer). I can say that the color holds really well, and despite a number of showers and scrubs, it’s still a nice color! I’ll soon dare to test it on my face too 🙈😅 #lykoinflutester #bylyko

Pleasant scent but no huge difference

I am a total rookie when it comes to BUS, and I mean as in I have never tried it (as far as I can remember), in any form. And here came 3 variants in the same batch 😅 Very exciting, but I was also very worried and anxious that it would be patchy 🙈 The mist is very easy to apply, and sprays evenly over a large area. A little goes a long way, here. However, I experienced that after spraying a few times, it drips from the nozzle and the next day it was clearly visible where it had dripped 😂 however on the décolletage so nothing I needed to show before it disappeared 😅 I did find that the color faded very quickly on my face, but on the other hand, I wash my face twice a day. I haven't peeled during the testing period, but just before. I have sprayed generously almost every evening after washing, but before my skincare routine. There has been more color on the décolletage but I have no before picture so it will be hard to show 😂 Very nice scent, and it hasn't irritated my skin despite being perfumed. I will continue using it, but a bit unclear if I would buy it again. 🥰 #lykoinflutester #bylyko

    Natural and nice ”tan”

I am a total rookie when it comes to self-tanner, and I mean that I have never tried it (as far as I can remember), in any form. And here came 3 variants in the same batch 😅 Very exciting, but I was also very worried and anxious that it would be patchy 🙈 I tested this mousse on my legs. I scrubbed my legs in the shower in the evening and then moisturized them with lotion afterward. Then I applied the mousse with my hands. I find that it was very easy to apply, and it absorbed into the skin incredibly quickly. It also smells really good! 😍 I then washed my legs with water and shower gel in the morning, and then it was done. It didn’t transfer onto either sheets or towels 🙏🏻 The color turned out even and nice, except on my feet where I need to practice a bit more 😂 I think the color turned out very natural. Can absolutely recommend! #lykoinflutester #bylyko

Wishing I was more satisfied 🙈

I really think Hickap is a good brand, and after having my eyes on this for a long time, I finally took the plunge. Unfortunately, it doesn't remove much of my makeup at all, and even though I'm unusually colorful in the picture, it's still the same amount of makeup I use daily. It takes a few rounds with micellar water-soaked cotton pads afterwards, and even though I always finish up, it usually only takes a quick swipe. It's as good as fragrance-free and very economical, which is a plus, but my micellar water goes much faster 😅 Another plus for Hickap being cruelty-free ❤️ but more advantages than that, I unfortunately can't think of for this product 🤥 It probably suits those who don't use as much makeup better.

    Empties February-March

Here are my #empties for February and March. Some favorites, some ”meh” and some no thanks 😁 ➕➕➕➕➕ Dermalogica Daily Milkfoliant: despite the small packaging, it lasts a long time! It irritates absolutely nothing, but still makes the skin soft and smooth, and leaves a nice skin surface. Mild enough to use daily, I use it maybe 2 times/week. Have already bought a new one 🤩 SkinProud Foam cleanser: has for some inexplicable reason been discontinued from Lyko 💔, so I have to buy it somewhere else when the last from my reserve packaging runs out 😭 Essence 24ever eyeliner: also already bought a new one, recurring purchase because it’s super good 😁 Sweed Cloud mascara: also already bought a new one, and it’s running out any day now so I have another one in stock 😂 Unfortunately a bit too pricey when I compare it to my previous favorite, now number 2, see below: Essence mascara: which also has an extra one in stock here at home 🤪 Great price and gives a top result! Common Clouds night cream: so kind and soothing to the skin. I will buy this again also when the opportunity arises. Tip to Lyko: bring in Common Clouds 😁 Scholl foot scrub: a dream to deal with to avoid those socks that exfoliate for an eternity. This one does the job at least as well! However, it seems to no longer be available at Lyko 🤥 (I see that I managed to tag some of those socks anyway, that is indeed wrong. This is a cream you rub into your feet and then rinse off, and the feet become incredibly soft!) ➕➕➕ Edelweiss eye serum from TBS: very good and economical eye serum, but an eye cream is needed on top for more moisture. I will buy again sometime but not now. By Lyko Dry shampoo: not the best product but I can absolutely see myself using this again in the future. I think my hair feels fresh for a long time, but I would need it in an even darker shade. Ida Warg face toner: has also unfortunately been discontinued from Lyko. Stings a little in the eyes and doesn’t clean completely, but despite that it was still pleasant and smelled good. No repurchase though. ➕ SkinCity serum: nah, this didn’t do much for me to be honest. Sure, it’s kind to the skin but I think there are cheaper and better alternatives out there. Hagi Body balm: too greasy for my skin, an influencer test assignment from some time ago, but it smells heavenly. If it had come as a lotion, I would have bought it, but not as it is now unfortunately. Shower cream from Fiona&Friends: smells okay, incredibly cheap price but unfortunately not bought here. No repurchase.

    Pretty okay though

I had the opportunity to test some products from #Nioxin as a #lykoinflutester. I have thin, fine, typically Scandinavian hair that is dyed regularly and suffers from chronic flyaway hair during the winter months. 🙃 I normally don’t have major issues with hair loss or hair breaking. The mask comes in a tube, and it’s easy to dose the right amount. I’ve used this mask in my lengths about every other hair wash and for at least 3 minutes each time. It has a pleasant scent that reminds me a bit of that conditioner pack you get when you buy hair dye 😅 it doesn’t smell too much and not too little and doesn’t linger once the hair is dry. I think the hair becomes soft and manageable, but unfortunately, it doesn’t take away my flyaway strands. I’m neither surprised nor disappointed by the mask and don’t notice any significant difference in hair quality or broken hair strands after about 4 weeks, so I’m giving it a neutral rating. I think the price range is a bit too expensive considering the amount, and there are definitely other masks that work better for my flyaway hair. Unfortunately, there won’t be a repurchase of this product either, but I will have no problem using up what’s left. Nioxin is unfortunately not cruelty free.

    Thanks but no thanks

I had the opportunity to test some products from #Nioxin as a #lykoinflutester. I have thin, fine, typically Scandinavian hair that is dyed at regular intervals and suffers from chronic flyaway hair during the winter months. 🙃 I normally don't have major issues with hair loss or hair breaking. The shampoo both looks and smells like a Vicks tablet with a lovely blue color but an intense scent/smell of menthol. I find that my hair feels very coarse and dry after shampooing (I always double shampoo), which bothers me a bit. However, this feeling disappears after using conditioner. The conditioner smells, if possible, even more than the shampoo, and I feel it cools the scalp. If you were stuffy before stepping into the shower, you definitely aren't after! 😂 I think my hair feels soft and really clean after washing. The scent tones down a lot when the hair dries, thank goodness. The serum comes in a plastic bottle with a spray nozzle. The recommended dose is up to 9 sprays per use. I have primarily used this after washing my hair, and less (or not at all 🙈) on other days. The serum is almost scent-free. The distribution is unfortunately quite focused and doesn't spread very evenly, but it becomes more of a "hair spray" in one spot. I once tried to spray in the lengths as well, but you see, I shouldn't have done THAT! 😳 I noticed quite quickly afterward that it started to itch and turn red on my neck and shoulder where the hair hung down, and I got something that resembled hives. These disappeared quite quickly after I cleaned the area, but I never made that mistake again! 🙈 The biggest problem is that I have a side fringe, and I feel that my forehead absolutely hates these products, becoming dry, itchy, and flaky. After testing with my skincare and the process of elimination, I have concluded that it must be this series that causes it. 🙈 Therefore, I do not recommend this to you if you have sensitive skin and scalp. I find the entire series hard to evaluate since I didn't have the problems they are supposed to help with from the start but have to base it on the issues I encountered during the process 😂 I also don't think my hair has gotten thicker during the testing period. Size-wise, it was a suitable trial package, and there isn't much left of the shampoo and conditioner. The spray is a bit more economical. With regular use, it would become very expensive in the long run. I will not be buying these products again. Nioxin is unfortunately not cruelty-free.

    Meh 😑

I had the opportunity to test some products from #Nioxin as a #lykoinflutester. I have thin, fine, typically Scandinavian hair that is dyed regularly and suffers from chronic flyaway hair during the winter months. 🙃 I may not belong to the specific target group for this spray, as I don’t experience my hair usually falling out, thankfully. However, fullness is desired 🤓 This serum comes in a glass bottle with a spray nozzle. The recommended dose is up to 15 sprays at a time. I have primarily used this after washing my hair, and less (or not at all 🙈) on other days. I developed some scent sensitivity after Covid, and I can kind of smell the same "stink" from different products that have no connection to each other, and unfortunately, this scent falls into the category that I can no longer agree with. 😩 The spray, however, is great; I think it distributes evenly and nicely, and it is easy to use. I find the product hard to evaluate since I didn’t have the problems it is supposed to help with from the start, so they get a neutral rating as it neither gives nor takes anything I miss. I also don’t think my hair has gotten thicker during the testing period, but I don’t feel that my hair gets greasy faster, which could be good to know for you who are considering this. For the above reason, I will not buy it again, but I will give the remaining product to someone who needs it more. I have about 2/3 left after 1 month. With daily use, it would become very expensive to maintain in the long run. Nioxin is unfortunately not cruelty-free.
