I was so lucky to test these two products from Kerastase. Kerastase premier serum filler antifrizz that I have now been using regularly after hair wash. It smells absolutely lovely and gives fresh clean hair after applying it post-wash. It has helped with frizz and helped me achieve shinier hair. It also helped detangle knots after washing. So I don’t have to use oil in it after every wash. The product has become my new favorite product. Now to the second product I got to test. Kerastase symbiose against dandruff. It smelled good but stung a bit on the scalp during use. A bit of a strong product. I used it regularly before going to bed. I had no signs of dandruff from the product during the time I used it. I couldn’t use it too often because it stung and I started to itch from it. So maybe I couldn’t tolerate it. Thank you for letting me test. I would like to try more from Kerastase in the future, they have a lot of good stuff. I was so happy to get to try this! Nice and luxurious bottle. I was a bit disappointed with the scent, which smells citrusy and very unisex. It smells good, but it wasn't my type of scent (I prefer the scent of Kérastase's glaze milk). I have bleached, fine Scandinavian hair. I use this after showering, 1 pump and distribute it through the lengths. My hair often feels very dry right after showering, and I think this serum helped make it feel softer and healthier. However, I noticed the most that it worked on my hair extensions. They have very worn ends, I tried this serum on them before my heat brush, and the ends looked much healthier than with other products I've tried! Heavy glass bottle in frosted white finish that feels luxurious. I usually love Kerastase's scents, but this scent was unfortunately not quite to my taste, but that’s okay because I don’t think the scent lingers for very long. I have bleached, fine Scandinavian hair. I shower every day due to my job, so I often get an itchy scalp. Feels like a luxurious serum and absorbs instantly! DIY: Brad Mondo's Sabrina Carpenter Cut
Here I show how I did it when I cut my hair and go through the different steps. You can of course also see Brad Mondo's original tutorial (search for Brad Mondo and Sabrina Carpenter), especially if you want to cut shorter curtain bangs, because I skipped that this time (it was nerve-wracking enough anyway😅) I have cut my hair following his tutorial “butterfly cut” for the past year/years, but now it was time for something new! More layered! 🫣😁💕 It should be noted that I have very thick hair, so if you do this yourself (at your own risk of course ❤️💋), the hair may feel thinner than it looks on me afterwards (if you have thinner hair). Are you afraid to cut it yourself? As long as you BRUSH thoroughly (have very wet hair or very carefully straightened, dry hair), place the ponytails where you want them and don’t stretch the hair in the wrong angles, it’s as good as foolproof 🤗 (but again: at your own risk. I have been testing these serums for several weeks. The first thing I think of is the scent, it is quite a strong scent on both, so if you are a bit sensitive to that, these might not be the absolute best products for you, but I personally appreciate the scents, they feel fresh and invigorating. Kérastase 8H Overnight Serum I use the serum as the description says every day before I go to bed. I also tend to use it after I shower along with my other products. It has a lovely creamy consistency and as mentioned, the scent is super fresh. My hair feels smooth and manageable in the morning. I feel like it gets more shine. But I have quite frizzy hair at times, and then I feel like it doesn't quite tame the frizz. Kérastase Serum Anti Chute Fortifiant I also apply this one as the description says, about 2 pipettes to the scalp. I usually use a brush to distribute the serum more after I’ve applied it. I don’t think it weighs my hair down. I get almost more volume when I use it than when I skip it. I’m not sure if it makes my hair grow since I haven’t seen any significant difference in my hair, however, I feel that my hair has become thicker as if it feels better at the scalp, which is a big plus since I think my hair can get a bit limp and dull. Based on the price, it brings the rating down a bit, I feel that you can achieve similar results with a lower price tag. But if you want luxurious good products and are willing to pay, these are products that do their job and feel luxurious. I had the opportunity to be a test pilot for these products. My first impressions of the products were that they have a very nice scent, both of them. I also liked the consistency of both as the Kerastase Genesis Serum is light and absorbs well into the scalp, and I also didn’t feel that my hair looked or felt "greasy" afterwards, which was a plus. The Kerastase Magic Night Serum also absorbed quickly into the hair and was easy to apply to the lengths. The size of the bottles is reasonably large, so you get a lot of product, but I specifically think the Genesis serum runs out way too quickly if you follow the dosage instructions on the bottle. After these 5 weeks of testing, the Genesis Serum is basically completely gone, but I still have half a bottle of the Magic Night Serum left. Since these products are also in the higher price range. Regarding the results that the products promise, I think it matches well, I have felt a difference in losing fewer hair strands and reduced frizz with more shine. So what makes the review not a full score is mostly the high price and the amount of Genesis serum used.
